We held our wedding in the Hillgrove Hotel, Monaghan on 6th March 2020. We had the most wonderful day from start to finish and we are so glad we chose the Hillgrove as our venue. Our wedding coordinator, Mary, was just brilliant from start to finish. Mary was warm, welcoming and mannerly when dealing with us at all times and nothing was ever a bother for this lovely lady and her wonderful team! We had a fabulous welcoming reception laid on for us & our guests. Our dinner was just sublime - the guests are still talking about it! All in all everything was just perfect and the Hillgrove couldn’t have done enough for us. Thank you all so much for the most special day.

We had such a fabulous time for our wedding on the 4th September, I seriously can not recommend this hotel enough! We originally booked our wedding for May and had to reschedule to September due to COVID-19. The hotel and staff were beyond accommodating and helpful. We finally had our day and it was absolutely amazing. Mary, Enda and the staff couldn't have done more to ensure that we had the best day ever, which we absolutely did! The wedding packages are fantastic value and the food and service was something else. The function room is just stunning, everyone commented on it. Special thanks to Breda and Sharon for their help in booking all the rooms, liaising with us and reassuring us throughout lockdown. Mary - you were such a pleasure to deal with and we knew that our wedding would be in good hands from our first meeting. Thank you to yourself and Enda for not only ensuring our day ran smoothly but for really going above and beyond! Although our wedding wasn't the day or date we originally planned, it was still every bit as magical. The Van Gogh suite is just stunning, and especially in the times we find ourselves in, its space and its recently renovated interior still creates the most gorgeous setting. It also has its own private reception area which was always on my must list - particularly suited to COVID times. I cannot recommend the Hillgrove hotel enough. They were a dream to work with on the lead up to our wedding especially when we had to postpone. Nothing was too much for them. The day itself was perfect. Mary pulled out all the stops and all our guests were so impressed. If we had to do it all over again, we would absolutely pick the Hillgrove hotel again.

We recently had our wedding in the Hillgrove Hotel, which we had been planning for nearly 3 years. So when Covid happened, like many brides and grooms, myself and my husband started to get anxious about all that was going on. We originally had a guest list of 200 people and having to cut that down to 50 was really hard but Mary worked with us throughout. She reassured us continuously that we would have the most amazing day! And, that is exactly what we had! We honestly couldn't have asked for anything better. Mary and Enda, on the day, couldn't have done enough for us. They were brilliant and such lovely people. The service and food was first class. Our quests keep talking about how beautiful the food was. I never once felt like our wedding was small. We had our family and a handful of friends and I wouldn't change it for the world. ❤️ Thank you so much to Mary and all the staff at the Hillgrove, you are doing a great job.

We had the most amazing wedding day and weekend at the Hillgrove Hotel. Mary and the rest of the staff were absolutely fantastic. They made us feel like nothing was too much to ask and the attention to detail was very much appreciated. Mary has such a lovely calm approachable manner and I knew our day was in great hands from the beginning, she really knows her stuff! The food was delicious and the service was excellent. The ballroom we chose for both our ceremony and reception was just newly refurbished to a high standard with its own entrance and drinks reception area, extremely handy for us as we decided to go ahead in the middle of a pandemic. Both myself and my husband and all our guests felt the hotel took all the necessary steps to keep us safe and protected. Our day was just dreamy! I cannot recommend having your wedding in this venue enough. It was an absolute delight!

Our wedding in the Hillgrove hotel was an absolutely excellent experience. The hotel staff were superb from the minute we walked in the door to speak to the wedding planners when we were researching wedding venues, all the way through to the minute we left on the day after our wedding. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, all our needs were expertly looked after, and the quality of the rooms, the decor, the foyer, the wedding reception rooms etc., was all superb. On the day of the wedding itself, we were expertly managed by the experienced staff, and the food and service were top notch. There was not one complaint from any of our guests (240 people),so we are delighted with the hotel, and are totally comfortable with recommending it to other couples who are looking for a great wedding venue.

We celebrated our wedding in The Hillgrove Hotel earlier this year and we had Thee Perfect Day. The wedding team lead by Mary and Enda couldn't have done enough. Making us and our guests feel very special on our arrival and comfortable throughout the day. The dining room was beautifully decorated and our sweet cart, table plan and cake table beautifully arranged. No request was too much for this flexible and efficient team.The food was delicious and we were fed and dancing by 9. A great venue that I'd highly recommend. :)

We recently had our wedding reception in the Hillgrove hotel. was such a fabulous venue. From the décor to the wonderful picturesque gardens. When at the initial stages of planning I found the wedding coordinator extremely helpful and worked with you to ensure that you had all of the things you wanted to make your day individual and the way that you would like it to be. Also very helpful was the projection of pricing and the set out deposit of payments ensured the cost was spread out and not overwhelming The staff were friendly approachable and went the extra mile to ensure that our day went smoothly and kept to the schedule. The service for our meal was exceptional the food was delicious and most important hot on delivery. The bridal suite was beautiful and luxurious there was breakfast delivered to our room the morning after our big day was a lovely touch. and there hairdressing service was brilliant and good value for money. It is a wonderful hotel to visit and lovely place to eat highly recommend it if your thinking of this for your wedding venue.

From start to finish our day was perfect. The build up was also so enjoyable for us and Enda really made everything feel so relaxed and stress free. It's a beautiful venue for a wedding from the food too the rooms and staff it was incredible. Thank you so much for giving us one of the best day of our lives ❤️

Myself and My Husband Celebrated our Wedding in the Hillgrove in January, Everything was fantastic, every request I had was never a problem. We sat 309 guests and everyone was delighted with the food and service on the day. We had hot whiskeys and mini burgers on arrival which went down a treat :) People still talk about our wedding which is great, unfortunately when all is over that's all you have left, is that all your guests had a great day. Thank you to all the staff!

So delighted to have had our wedding here. We won 1st prize in a fabulous competition where we received€5000 towards our wedding in 2018. We were helped along the journey by 2 brilliant wedding co-ordinators Mary and Enda. Our day ran so smoothly from arrival, till late into the night. We loved the recently refurbished decor and the space to enjoy a large wedding. The food was exceptional and we were provided with a great choice. Would well recommend the relaxed atmosphere. Would love to be doing it all over again

We had our wedding day on 8th July this year and I have nothing but praise for Mary, Enda and the wedding team. The food, service and hotel far exceeded my expectations. We had our wedding in the Hillgrove Hotel on Saturday 12th October. We can not recommend Mary, Enda & the staff enough, they totally went over & beyond for us and our guests. From we first met up with Mary last year, nothing was a problem. She is a fantastic woman to deal with and extremely precise in everything she does. We never had a doubt that the hotel would be able to cater for our 400 guests with absolute perfection and they really pulled out all the stops to make our day so perfect and memorable. The Hillgrove is absolutely amazing!! Myself and my husband went back in 2016 to have a look and from we met Mary and seen the room everything was perfect. 3years in advance booking everything. Mary was in touch all the time making sure everything was well especially with the arrival of our daughter. The few months leading up to our wedding Mary was on the ball with everything and the communication was brilliant anything I needed or wanted she sorted!! On arrival of our wedding the welcome we got from Mary&Enda was phenomenal!! The way everything was displayed was absolutely beautiful!! My guests never stopped talking about the amount of bubbly,beer and food on arrival and it all tasted amazing, even the selection of food for my coeliac relatives they were amazed!! Then the dinner unbelievable the food was out of this world as always and yet again my guests couldn't get over how wonderful everything was and the amount of seconds.... The whole hotel, staff, food even the decor (what made me love the hotel) is simply amazing everything was completed to perfection exactly how I wanted our special day to go!!! We will be forever grateful for the Hillgrove hotel for everything they done for us on the 19/09/19 Highly recommend it.. Actually can't recommend the hotel enough. Not entirely sure where to begin but from the very beginning Mary and her team were absolutely top class. Organising our wedding was extremely relaxing and enjoyable and we always knew we were in safe hands. Nothing was too much trouble at any point, Mary always provided suggestions where we needed them and expert opinion when we asked for it. We felt like we were the only people ever to get married as we were treated so well - at no point did we feel as though we were just a number which was the thing we noticed the most! On the day it was very laid back which is exactly what we wanted. The food was delicious and the staff treated everyone like they knew them! We stayed with the Hillgrove for two nights and genuinely did not want to leave on Monday morning. My only issue is that I want to do it all over again! :) Thank you so much to Mary, Enda and all in the Hillgrove - you truly made our day completely spectacular and unforgettable.

From the minute we paid our deposit until we checked out the day after our wedding, we were looked after amazingly, nothing was too much hassel for Mary, who was always just a phone call away, we had the best day off our lifes. The hillgrove was just out on its own, from the staff, to the service, to the amazing food, we couldn't have asked for better for our big day!! It is an amazing venue!! ♥️♥️♥️
