We couldn’t of asked for a more perfect day! From the beginning when we booked the Radison, Jill our wedding specialist was amazing! Kept us on the loop all the way through and also helping us with important details. Even little things such as the food tasting was great, meeting the chef was also such a good little touch. The day, again Jill and the team were great, keeping the day smooth. We had amazing feedback from our guests and it was all down to the Radison team for making our day special. "I contacted the Radisson Blu with my father with little more than a week to go until our big day. Our plans had changed and we were in need of a new evening venue. The team at Radisson Blu were superb, especially Jill Connolly who went through everything with us and helped us plan our important day and were able to accommodate our wedding party at such short notice. Come the day, everything went smoothly, myself and my new husband arrived and checked into our lovely Junior suite without any hassle. We were guided and notified of the progress of all the plans for the night time and any of our suggestions were welcomed. As our guests arrived the attention to detail was fantastic with balloons placed at the entrance, our rose petals had been sprinkled on the tables and a red carpet to greet our party. The evening buffet was lovely and everyone commented on how fantastic everything was. We are so grateful and pleased by everything that Radisson Blu did for us. Our special day was just fantastic. The food was amazing all of our guests were raving about it, also, all of our guests that were staying loved their rooms, the extra little touches in our suite were beautiful and the personal message from you all was so lovely! We had many comments on the set up of a private breakfast area, people loved that! Nothing was a problem, anything we needed we got instantly, everything ran so smooth we have no complaints whatsoever, we are definitely going to be recommending you to anyone who is getting married, the setting is just second to none! We had the most fabulous day celebrating our wedding reception at Radisson Blu, Durham. From arriving to checking out the next morning everyone went above and beyond their call of duty to make sure our wedding ran like clockwork. The room was set up exactly how we imagined, if not better; the attention to detail was remarkable. We had two menu tastings prior to the wedding and the chef was very accommodating with our requests, serving the most delicious food on the day to our guests who all complimented its' quality and presentation. The day went so smoothly and even the bride was relaxed the whole way through! The room was well kept, bright, airy and large enough for our sizeable guest list. The package we were offered was also quite comprehensive in comparison to other venues in the area and at a reasonable cost. More so as we later learned, as the food served to our guests was of a very high standard – many guests came up to us on the day complimenting us on how lovely the food was. When we arrived on our big day, we were greeted by Ben and Melissa with a glass of bubbly, and the added bonus of the sun shining. Our guests were all waiting for us in the bar area and we were given the opportunity to see the room ourselves before anyone else did and we were truly speechless.

The day before the weddings staff were on hand as soon as we arrived. They assisted us with storing the wedding cakes and table decorations, and genuinely seemed pleased to see us and excited too. From the initial e-mail we made eight months prior to our wedding day right up to when we said our goodbyes, we were made to feel special. The advice and support from our wedding organise/planner was fantastic, they explained everything in detail, gave us lots of options and we went through the actual logistics of things, down to every last detail , which made us feel really relieved Dawn and Jason Wise September 2014

Whenever our wedding is brought up in conversation, we all end up talking about the food, it was delicious! Honestly, one of the best meals I have ever had. Radisson Blu, Durham, truly delivered an amazing day for Danny and I. We got married there and we could not have chosen a better venue. Everything ran so smoothly and beautifully. We would highly recommend the Radisson as a wedding venue – you will be given an outstanding professional service where everything is provided for you and no ask is too much trouble.
