The staff were exceptional — professional, friendly, and so attentive to every detail. In the lead-up to the wedding, Mary and the team made the whole planning process feel effortless. They were always available to answer questions, offer guidance, and ensure everything ran smoothly. On the day itself, everything was seamless. We felt completely relaxed knowing we were in such capable hands. The venue itself is stunning, with beautiful surroundings and a fabulous function room that created the perfect atmosphere for our special day. The food was so important to us, and on the day, it was outstanding — our guests are still talking about how good it was! The service throughout the day was impeccable, and every member of staff went above and beyond to make sure our guests and we were looked after. We truly had the best day of our lives and are so grateful to everyone at the Newpark for making it so special. We wouldn’t change a single thing and would highly recommend it to any couple looking for a perfect wedding experience. We got married in the Newpark hotel on the 15th November, 2025. We had looked at the Newpark in January 2024, and we were both really impressed with the hotel and the staff we met. We checked out a few more hotels but ended up back in the Newpark. From the moment we booked right up to the time we got married, we knew everything would be looked after. From Mary, Michaela, the wedding events team and the ground staff, we really couldn't have asked for better. Nothing was ever a problem, and the girls were always at the other end of an email to answer any queries. Our wedding day was stress-free, and we had an absolute ball. The food was amazing, and the décor in the ballroom was fab. Anyone booking your wedding at the Newpark, you certainly won't have anything to worry about as the staff do an amazing job. We recently had our wedding reception at The Newpark Hotel, Kilkenny, and we truly couldn’t have chosen a more perfect venue for our wedding day. From the moment we first visited, we knew it was somewhere special - and it exceeded every expectation. The food was absolutely incredible. So many of our guests are still talking about it 3 weeks later! Every course was beautifully presented and tasted even better than we had remembered from our tasting session. The wedding team, especially our wedding co-ordinator Mary, was an absolute dream to work with from start to finish. Planning a wedding can feel overwhelming, but they made the whole process smooth, enjoyable, and stress-free. Nothing was ever a problem -no request too big or too small. They were always responsive, calm, and genuinely invested in making our day perfect. We also had a large guest list, and the venue handled it effortlessly. Everything ran seamlessly! The staff in the hotel were fantastic from reception to bar staff to waiting staff and housekeeping staff...everyone was so friendly, helpful and welcoming. One of the owners of the hotel even went out of his way to visit us at the top table before our meal and introduce himself and check that we were happy with how everything was going. Special mention for Siobhan, also who was the manager looking after us on the day. Siobhan had shown us around on our first visit to the wedding showcase two years previously which led to us booking our wedding with the hotel. She is amazing and ensured that everything was perfect for us on the day! If you’re looking for a venue that combines exceptional service, outstanding food, and a team who truly care, this is the place for you. We got married in the Newpark last Christmas & we couldn't recommend the hotel enough to any other engaged couples. The staff at the Newpark could not have done more in the lead up to our wedding & on the day itself. As a hotel, they went above & beyond to meet our wishes for our wedding, whether it be requests in the drinks reception, to helping out last minute with an easel. There is a level of professionalism within the Newpark hotel that is unmatched. On the day we couldn't fault a thing from the meal to the Christmas decorations, it was everything we wanted. There is always a sense of family in the hotel & it's a lovely touch that one of the Flynn's, came in to congratulate us on the day. Before Mary, we had Sinead, who has recently left — she was also fantastic. The whole day from start to finish was stress‑free and everything we imagined. The bridal suite in the Newpark is beautiful, with a hot tub on the balcony as an added treat. Newpark Hotel is consistently reviewed as a fantastic choice for a wedding day, offering a perfect combination of beautiful surroundings, excellent food, attentive service, and efficient event management. We celebrated our wedding in the Newpark and had our "day two" here also. Let me tell you about our experience. From the wedding showcase nearly two years before the wedding to the BBQ on day two, we had the most amazing experience of our lives. The Newpark made everything so easy and were so helpful in the planning and getting us through both days. The staff were fantastic; they made the day feel effortless and took all the stress away. Mary made us feel at ease when planning it all — there was no request too complicated and nothing she couldn’t answer. Aga went above and beyond all day to look after our every need. They couldn’t do enough for us. We were truly stunned by the level of service; it was amazing. Even the bar staff need a shout‑out, as they put up with us all night. They were good craic, and it’s a credit to them. The food was absolutely delicious, with all the guests complimenting it. The chefs catered for all guests and their dietary needs. The ballroom in particular was stunning and made the day feel even more special. The private garden off the ballroom was great — a lovely place to get some air after too much dancing but still be close to the guests. The second day of our wedding was just as incredible as the first, from getting breakfast in bed to chilling in the pool all day until it was time for the BBQ. The staff once again made everything so easy and carefree for us; we got to enjoy it just as much as the guests. The area for the BBQ was incredible — we were able to get the roof opened to enjoy the good weather, and the atmosphere was great. A great place to unwind after the day before and to catch up with friends and family. The BBQ was a standout; the variety and quality were incredible (maybe even better than the wedding meal — I’m sure the hotel won’t mind me saying that!). The guests also loved the BBQ and told us how much they enjoyed it. The two days went so fast, but the memories will last. Thank you, Newpark, for making our wedding so special.

Myself and my wife got married here on the 4th of May. From start to finish, all of the staff were incredible. They made our day so special. Special mention to Aga — when I say this woman runs weddings to perfection, it is an understatement. She was simply incredible and looked after our every need, from our walk down to the ceremony to making sure we had our food, to ensuring we had breakfast to our room the next morning. We honestly cannot recommend this hotel enough for weddings. Perfect location, kid‑friendly, and caters for every need. A special thank you again for making it happen.

After having met with the wedding team at the Newpark Hotel, we knew it was the perfect hotel for us. All of the team, especially Mary and Laura, went above and beyond for us from start to finish. I wish we could remember the names of the rest of the amazing team because each and every one of them is due a mention. What a welcoming hotel with the friendliest staff. We both agreed it was a hotel that made us feel so at home. Both my partner and I have been to numerous weddings, and the food couldn’t be compared to the food we had at the Newpark Hotel — the chateaubriand was the best we have ever had, and Mary was fantastic in accommodating us so well to ensure we had the perfect package for our day. What was memorable when organising our wedding is that the staff never pushed for the more pricey options and left all the extras down to us, simply making sure we were well informed, never feeling any pressure, unlike other hotels that we viewed. All of our guests complimented the amazing food and service that they received. Everyone felt so relaxed and at ease throughout the day, including ourselves. We never once had a worry. The bridal suite on the night was amazing, and another lovely touch from the hotel was a bottle of champagne with personalised champagne flutes with our names and wedding date on them. We also booked our day two with the hotel, in the terrace area. It was stunning. They offered a package with a one‑man band, BBQ, and prosecco on arrival. We also couldn’t recommend this enough. More amazing food, and again, the staff could not be faulted. If you are considering booking this hotel — DO IT! We honestly could not recommend this hotel enough. You can be assured that your wedding day is in safe and beyond capable hands. Thank you again to all at the Newpark Hotel for exceeding our expectations.

Mary & Michaela put us at complete ease from our first meeting in the Newpark. Nothing was an issue and they went out of their way to accommodate our requests. All our guests are still talking about the dinner and level of service the staff provided all day long and into the early morning. I couldn't praise Newpark hotel enough! Hands down the best wedding venue in Kilkenny . The food was absolutely exceptional on the day, we knew this would be the case as our tasting was fabulous but to see it all come together on the day and hear all our guests say how much they loved their food made our day! We got married on the hottest day of the year and had our drinks reception outside. When we arrived it looked amazing and I was so impressed to see there were sunscreen stations dotted around the garden for our guests to use, I hadn't thought of this and it was such a necessity on the day! Inside was perfectly cool with the air con, we honestly felt like we were on holidays! The staff couldn't do more for us, anything we needed they were absolutely on the ball! The whole experience from first booking the wedding, having meetings and the day of, the staff had us so at ease and really made us feel like they would take care of everything and they really did. We had our wedding at the Newpark Hotel Kilkenny and truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Michaela was fantastic in the weeks leading up to the wedding — calm and organised. She made the planning feel easy and stress-free. The meal was exceptional. Many of our guests are still talking about how good it was, and several coeliac guests commented on how well they were catered for. The gluten-free options were excellent, and the overall dinner service was relaxed but still very prompt for such a large wedding. While every bride and groom hear positive things about their own day, our family, friends, and even extended neighbours made a real point of saying how much they enjoyed the Newpark. The bar staff were brilliant — attentive, friendly, and perfect for a crowd that loves the bar. The bar was also really well staffed, something not every hotel prioritises at night, and it made a huge difference to the flow of the evening. A special mention for the good pint of Guinness, which did not go unnoticed! We added a gin cart to our drinks reception and were blown away by what was provided — a full selection of gins (including non-alcoholic options), mixers, garnishes, and toppings. It completely exceeded our expectations and was a huge hit with guests. The team also took complete charge of all of our extras, such as signs, bathroom baskets, guestbooks, and more. Everything was laid out perfectly and exactly as we would have hoped, without us having to think about a single thing. It made the day completely stress-free. Across the entire weekend, the staff couldn’t have done enough for us. It’s clear they host many weddings, and they truly have it perfected. A special thank you to Siobhan on the day, who went above and beyond by drying the bride’s wedding dress after it got wet during photographs. That level of care meant so much to us. We are so grateful to the whole team for helping make our wedding weekend unforgettable.
