From the minute we walked in we knew that the River Court was our venue. From day one they were so helpful, whoever I was talking to made me feel relaxed. Having getting our last details postponed and postponed because of covid, I felt a bit overwhelmed going on to sort everything but Marcella had all my questions answered and I felt like a weight was lifted after that meeting, she was amazing. The whole day went off absolutely amazing the food was spectacular and the room looked great, they were so fast and helpful to move things on. It was a day we will never forget. Would definitely recommend having your wedding here, 5 stars absolutely fantastic xx

The River Court events team and staff were just lovely to deal with. They are truly the most down to earth people who are eager to make your day as special and enjoyable as you want. It's a fantastic venue, with great food and service with a beautiful setting to top it off. The Bridal suite is also a big plus.

The Rivercourt Hotel overlooked the River Nore and Kilkenny Castle. The outside seating area has fairy lights which created a romantic atmosphere. All these factors played into our decision as the venue would guarantee beautiful wedding photographs, especially in the autumn months. Initially, Marcella emailed us wedding packages and arranged for us to have a consultation with Iona. Iona was amazing and guided us through all the dates that were available for the following year. Unfortunately, Covid hit and we had many setbacks with restrictions. These restrictions challenged the kind of wedding day we had always visualised in our heads. For us, we wanted music and live entertainment. We wanted to be surrounded by family and friends and the thought of cutting numbers was upsetting. I called the ladies to change the dates more than once and there were always so accommodating. Our original wedding date was scheduled for October 2020. Months passed and the restrictions lingered. It wasn’t until November 2021 that we finally got to celebrate our wedding. In September, we got to have our taster menu in the hotel which was lovely. We got to taste a variety of dishes and wines. Shortly after the tasting, Iona contacted me to go through some of the remaining formalities. We sat down together for an hour and went through these last elements. Another great aspect of the Rivercourt Hotel is that they provide a florist to decorate the function room. On the day of the wedding, we were taken care of by Leticia. The staff were promptly waiting for our guests and provided a private area for them to have refreshments. This area provided an intimate and safe environment for all the guests which we needed to be mindful of. As promised, the staff delivered an exceptional service. Everyone we dealt with was so helpful and that is why I would have absolutely no problem recommending any and every engaged couple to consider having their wedding celebration at the Rivercourt Hotel.

We booked our wedding with Kilkenny River Court Hotel pre-pandemic, and we were very happy with our choice. When the pandemic kicked in, and everything was falling apart wedding wise, but Kilkenny River Court stepped right up! The communication was amazing, we moved dates, we moved wedding size, nothing was ever a problem. They were so reassuring the whole way through the planning. Marcella and Iona were so lovely to talk with. They were so professional, but also it was like talking to friends, so I always felt comfortable in discussing things with them. When it came to the day itself, one word, WOW! The service, the food, the staff, the drinks, the rooms, the ballroom, all absolutely amazing!! Our guests were all blown away, as were we! We would recommend them a million times over, and are looking forward to going back soon for a visit.

This is an amazing place for a wedding. We just got married here, with the ceremony and reception onsite. All the managers and coordinators are just amazing. They all have exceptional attention to detail and were very helpful the whole way through. The hotel was great and very quick to respond. The price is very affordable, both the location and view are amazing. It is right in the heart of Kilkenny City, with a beautiful view of the castle. The photo opportunities are plentiful, you are sure to get amazing shots with a lot of different backgrounds. All and all, my wife and I were very happy with this venue and we recommend it to anyone who asks about the place. We will definitely be returning to stay, there is a real sense of family and love from the staff there. We were almost sad to leave. 10/10.

My wife and I held our wedding reception and after-party in Kilkenny River Court Hotel in August 2021. The hotel provided excellent service. The entire team were so helpful with making sure every little detail was just perfect for the big day. I want to make special shoutouts to Iona, Bruno, Leticia & Jose, who went above and beyond to ensure that it was an event we will remember for the rest of our lives. We all know how hard the hospitality industry has been hit with COVID restrictions in the last 18 months. Still, the hotel went above and beyond with accommodating our every request, even with our reduced headcount for the reception. The reception rooms are spacious, but the team accommodated our requests to have extra couches and coffee tables brought in so that the room didn't feel empty with a 50-person wedding, and people had a more casual space to sit and talk after the dinner. For the Afters party, we had 30 guests. The hotel closed off the room partition to make a smaller, safer space for the kids to run around in. The food was excellent, and our guests raved all night about how amazing the food was! The rooms are a great size. The three rooms we stayed in were a double room, the Bridal Suite and the Suite above the Bridal Suite, which were all of the highest levels of cleanliness. We're both looking forward to revisiting the River Court in the future on our anniversaries.

I can not put in to words how amazing the staff and hotel is. We got married here on the 29th of August. We had originally booked a hotel in Wexford and the wedding was postponed in May. We were deflated and we didn't see how it could happen. When I rang this hotel, they had such a detailed plan in place on how to manage the restrictions and guidelines and still celebrate our day. We can not commend them enough for the plan and procedures that they have in place. Every hotel should follow this hotels example. They contacted us through every change in guideline and they put a plan in place to manage it. The lead up to the wedding day was difficult for us but once we got in to this hotel, they made it so special for us and we had the most perfect wedding day experience with 24 of our closest family and friends. The attention to detail and responsiveness was brilliant. The food for the wedding and barbeque on the 2nd day was out of this world. The bridal suite is just breathtaking with views of the castle. The bar staff, cleaning staff, wedding staff all made the experience amazing. They could not do enough for us! The hotel is set next to the castle and it feels like you are on holidays when you sit out on their balcony or in the courtyard room, overlooking the castle. We believe that it worked out for the better in the end as we got to experience this amazing hotel and we will for very be thankful to the staff for making our weekend amazing. Well done to all the staff for pulling together during COVID-19 and developing a detailed plan to respond to it. I would recommend this place to any bride and groom or to anyone visiting Kilkenny

The hotel and staff are amazing. We had originally booked our wedding for a hotel in Wexford. It was postponed due to COVID. We had our wedding at the rivercourt hotel on the 7th of December. From the time we booked our wedding they were absolutely fantastic Marcella the wedding coordinator was so helpful and Catherine in reservations was fantastic! The weekend of our wedding we cannot fault one member of staff from the time we arrived everyone was so helpful the night porter was so kind and at 4 o’clock in the morning as we headed to bed after our fantastic wedding day he asked what time we wanted our breakfast delivered at. We were so lucky to be able to have our wedding in this beautiful place. On the nice day there is no better place for wedding in Kilkenny and probably not many in Ireland! From the very beginning we felt massive support from RC event team. No task was to big, no question was left an answered, we were receiving phone calls from Sinead or Marcela asking about our preparations which was a lovely touch and made us feel a little bit more special???? We loved everything about the day, food was great, service was stunning, and just an option of sitting out looking at the castle was more than enough to confirm we made the best choice! Special thanks to Sinead, as an unexperienced wedding planners we had no idea where to start, what to do next, what's very important, what a bit less, but Sinead made everything so easy for us that organising this wedding was a piece of cake! We had our wedding in The Rivercourt Hotel in September and loved every minute of it. We booked our wedding with the hotel early 2018 and from the booking up to the wedding day the hotel helped us with so many parts of our planning. Anytime we had a question Marcella was there to help us out and offer advice, and once we had to start confirming the finer details closer to the day Marcella was again a huge help. Everything we asked for was looked after and the service we received from the hotel on the day was fantastic. Natalia was absolutely brilliant too. She put us completely at ease from the minute we arrived at the hotel, she ensured the day ran smoothly and did everything she possibly could to look after us and our guests. We had been concerned about some of time constraints on the day but Natalia kept us updated on everything, put us at ease and ensured we had the time we needed. We were so thankful for her on the day and really appreciate everything she did for us. We would 100% recommend The Rivercourt Hotel to anyone planning a wedding, it was the perfect setting for our day and the staff there really looked after us. So many of our guests have commented how much they loved the hotel and everything they offered on the day.

We have giving 5 stars on every option and if we could give more we would. Kilkenny Rivercourt team made our day prefect from the first time we saw this hotel we knew it was for us. Marcella and her team are extremely professional and any queries or worries were always answered without hesitation. As the day approached we were in contact with Marcella who was always on the other end of the phone to reassure us. On the day itself the service was second to none. Every table was serve at a quick speed which meant NO table was waiting on food which was a big thing for us after being to weddings were tables near back might not have being served by time other tables were ready for mains. Natalia and Dee on the day ensured everything went smoothly and we or our guests couldn't fault anything. Location wise it is the perfect location and if anyone is thinking of Kilkenny as a place they would like to have there big day then look no further the Kilkenny Rivercourt. Food was amazing and there was no shortages all of our guest have complimented the food and the service. If we could do it all again there isn't 1 thing we would change about our venue ________________________________________

We had our wedding reception in the Kilkenny Rivercourt Hotel in July. Everything was fabulous - the food, drink, staff, rooms and the venue itself. The terrace was a great location for our drinks reception and the Marshall suite was beautiful overlooking the castle. We also had a BBQ on the terrace the day after our wedding for close family and friends and it went smoothly. We had our own private area and there was a great selection of food. As a bride you can be a bit nervous about everything running smoothly but Catherine and Dee made sure everything went smoothly on the day. We dealt with Marcella and Iona in the run up to the wedding and both were easy to deal with and dedicated to their jobs. We wanted to put our own personality into the wedding and there was no hassle with our requests.

Wow! We cannot fault the Rivercourt. We were married on a grey, miserable Sunday in September and I thought if we couldn’t get married outside I’d be upset but everything was perfect. The staff couldn’t do enough for us from the moment we arrived the day before to the day we left. There was a wedding on the day before ours but you wouldn’t have guessed with the service we received. A special mention for Marcella, she helped us with every query we had and is such a lovely person to deal with. Natalia on the day made us feel so calm, I’m sure she wasn’t!! Brian & Catherine too were so helpful, nothing was too much trouble. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the Rivercourt to couples for their wedding, we’re from Dublin too, it’s just over an hour away. We haven’t heard one negative thing about the day.

We had our ceremony and reception at the Rivercourt Hotel in Kilkenny in August of this year and we had a fabulous day. The ceremony outside on the terrace was beautiful and everything ran like clockwork under Nathalya’s watchful eye. The food at the reception was delicious - we had the Asian Chicken/Tofu salad for starters and a choice of Roast Cauliflower and Goats Cheese, Sea Bream and Prawns or Roast Chicken for mains and the assiette for dessert. Throughout the day the service was exceptional and the next day we had a BBQ on the terrace which was a lovely way to relax with some of the guests who were staying around. We live in the UK so we organised the wedding mostly via email and the hotel staff from the events team to the reception and bar staff were very helpful and friendly
