We had the most incredible wedding day at the River Court Hotel, with our ceremony and celebration held in the beautiful Bridge House. Everything about the day exceeded our expectations. A huge thank you to Sharon, Keira, and Noel – their support, professionalism, and warmth made all the difference. They went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly and that we felt completely at ease. The setting was simply magical. The breath-taking backdrop of Kilkenny Castle added a romantic touch that made the whole day feel like a fairytale. Our guests were blown away by the view, and it made our photos even more special. We’ll be forever grateful to the amazing team at the River Court Hotel for helping us create such unforgettable memories. After all the craziness in the last two weeks, we are finally getting a chance to breathe! We cannot thank you all enough for everything on our special day. The whole experience was amazing from start to finish, it’s crazy to believe that two years ago next week, we first met and now it’s all over! Everyone that came had nothing but great things to say about it. From the new decor (amazing by the way!) to the food! Personally, I just want to mention how stress-free the day was. Having my dad, who is coeliac, not have to worry about food or anything and to be catered for so well truly meant a lot to me. The room was perfect, everything was just perfect! I cannot recommend the day enough, we had the best day and it was all down to you guys!!

Keira and Sharon, I actually don’t have the words to express how grateful Mick and I are to you both and all of the staff at the River Court. You made our day completely magical. We will call in to you when we’re back from our honeymoon, but I couldn’t let a week go by without telling you how thankful we both are. The amount of praise from all of our guests for the food, the servers, the receptionists and the general atmosphere at the hotel was just astounding. We have literally nothing to fault!! From the moment we came to the River Court Hotel 18 months ago, just starting out on this journey, to now when it is all over, you have been so kind, supportive, reassuring, flexible & reliable. All of the many emails that I sent were always replied to the same day, you gave great advice when I was stuck for guidance and anything we asked for, you went above and beyond to help provide. We have been treated like spoilt children, we never heard the word no and I am lost for words on how to explain our gratitude and appreciation for making our experience so seamless and stress-free. This whole process has been such an enjoyable one. Your attention to detail was outstanding, Bernard and I could not stop complimenting the wedding tasting with the personalised menus, the castle view table, and any changes we wanted to make were listened to and provided. A huge thank you to Letitia for making that such a joyous experience. When we arrived to the hotel on the day, we were given a private look at the reception room and it was set up to perfection, the cake table, the favours, the sweet cart was everything that we imagined, and as requested, the Christmas decorations were up and they were gorgeous! Please send our thanks to all the staff that helped with this. As you are aware, we wanted to tailor our wedding to focus on ensuring people were well fed, and boy, did you deliver. I am still getting messages from our guests saying how amazing the food was. Everyone on the day were full of compliments for the cookies that were given during the drinks reception, they were a huge hit, one guest even asked me for the recipe. The main meal itself was beautiful; everyone was obsessed with the beef and how they were all so full after it all. The meal was so nice that my dad has actually booked our Christmas Eve family dinner in the River Court Hotel. This is a mighty compliment btw!

My husband and I had our wedding reception at the River Court Hotel, and it was picture- perfect! Sharon and Keira were amazing to work with from the very start. We were planning our wedding from New Zealand, and they were so accommodating with time differences and incredibly understanding whenever we had questions. On the day of our wedding, our guests loved the welcome drinks and canapés on the terrace overlooking the Castle. The dinner was delicious, and Noel and the entire team were outstanding - always there when needed, with every detail perfectly handled. All of our guests said they had an amazing time. Where do I start? The Kilkenny River Court Hotel is second to none. My husband James and I feel like the luckiest couple to have called the Kilkenny River Court our wedding venue. The River Court has always held a special place for my husband and his family, and when we were planning the wedding, the only input he wanted was to choose the venue. Kilkenny River Court Hotel it was. I had never been there myself—I had only looked at the website, reviews, and photos others had posted, along with hearing the many stories my husband and his family shared with me. I enquired about our potential date, and the rest was history. Sharon, Keira, and Marcella—what can I say about these amazing wedding coordinators? They always responded to my endless emails. Living in the UK meant I had so many questions, queries, requests, wants, and needs, but every email was met with patience. No question was too complicated, no request was ever too much, and, most importantly, I never felt like I was being a burden. Having these women on the other end of an email was a lifesaver. Their knowledge, professionalism, patience, and kindness were a tremendous relief during what is possibly one of the most stressful experiences—planning a wedding! They knew that by holding my hand and guiding me through each step, we would have the most perfect, flawless day. And we did. A few months before the wedding, we had our wedding meeting and menu tasting. James and I were made to feel so welcome by the lovely ladies at reception and reservations—they knew we were there for all things wedding-related! We were fortunate enough to stay in the beautiful bridal suite during our visit, which made it even more special. Knowing that in just a few months we would return to that very room as Mr. and Mrs. was such a wonderful feeling.

We had our wedding here on May 4th, 2024, and it was amazing from the moment we walked in the door until we left the next day. Sharon and Ciara were exceptional to deal with, and nothing was ever a problem. On the day itself, Anthony, Noel, and all the staff were fantastic. The room was laid out beautifully, and the backdrop for our photos was simply magical. The food was gorgeous, and our guests are still complimenting everything about the venue. The bridal suite was stunning, and our photographer captured some of our favourite photos in that room. The added bonus of having the castle as a backdrop meant we didn’t have to travel for photos, giving us extra time to spend with our guests. The whole day flowed seamlessly from start to finish, and the communication from the staff was excellent, making it the most enjoyable day of our lives. We couldn’t recommend the team and the venue enough for your special day. Thank you for ensuring our day was effortless!

We had our wedding there on 13/6/24. To say we had the best day ever would be an understatement. All the staff were amazing and couldn't have done enough for us on the lead-up and on the day. We had our wedding reception in the Kilkenny River Court Hotel on the 3rd September 2022. The service we received both on the lead up and also on the day of our wedding was exceptional. All the staff including Marcella were so welcoming and also there with any advice we may have needed. On the day of our wedding, we couldn’t have asked for more. The food was delicious, all our family and guests were so impressed by service they received. Myself and my husband would like to thank the River Court for their kindness and professionalism on the day.

From the minute we walked in we knew that the River Court was our venue. From day one they were so helpful, whoever I was talking to made me feel relaxed. Having getting our last details postponed and postponed because of covid, I felt a bit overwhelmed going on to sort everything but Marcella had all my questions answered and I felt like a weight was lifted after that meeting, she was amazing. The whole day went off absolutely amazing the food was spectacular and the room looked great, they were so fast and helpful to move things on. It was a day we will never forget. Would definitely recommend having your wedding here, 5 stars absolutely fantastic xx

The River Court events team and staff were just lovely to deal with. They are truly the most down to earth people who are eager to make your day as special and enjoyable as you want. It's a fantastic venue, with great food and service with a beautiful setting to top it off. The Bridal suite is also a big plus.

The Rivercourt Hotel overlooked the River Nore and Kilkenny Castle. The outside seating area has fairy lights which created a romantic atmosphere. All these factors played into our decision as the venue would guarantee beautiful wedding photographs, especially in the autumn months. Initially, Marcella emailed us wedding packages and arranged for us to have a consultation with Iona. Iona was amazing and guided us through all the dates that were available for the following year. Unfortunately, Covid hit and we had many setbacks with restrictions. These restrictions challenged the kind of wedding day we had always visualised in our heads. For us, we wanted music and live entertainment. We wanted to be surrounded by family and friends and the thought of cutting numbers was upsetting. I called the ladies to change the dates more than once and there were always so accommodating. Our original wedding date was scheduled for October 2020. Months passed and the restrictions lingered. It wasn’t until November 2021 that we finally got to celebrate our wedding. In September, we got to have our taster menu in the hotel which was lovely. We got to taste a variety of dishes and wines. Shortly after the tasting, Iona contacted me to go through some of the remaining formalities. We sat down together for an hour and went through these last elements. Another great aspect of the Rivercourt Hotel is that they provide a florist to decorate the function room. On the day of the wedding, we were taken care of by Leticia. The staff were promptly waiting for our guests and provided a private area for them to have refreshments. This area provided an intimate and safe environment for all the guests which we needed to be mindful of. As promised, the staff delivered an exceptional service. Everyone we dealt with was so helpful and that is why I would have absolutely no problem recommending any and every engaged couple to consider having their wedding celebration at the Rivercourt Hotel.

We booked our wedding with Kilkenny River Court Hotel pre-pandemic, and we were very happy with our choice. When the pandemic kicked in, and everything was falling apart wedding wise, but Kilkenny River Court stepped right up! The communication was amazing, we moved dates, we moved wedding size, nothing was ever a problem. They were so reassuring the whole way through the planning. Marcella and Iona were so lovely to talk with. They were so professional, but also it was like talking to friends, so I always felt comfortable in discussing things with them. When it came to the day itself, one word, WOW! The service, the food, the staff, the drinks, the rooms, the ballroom, all absolutely amazing!! Our guests were all blown away, as were we! We would recommend them a million times over, and are looking forward to going back soon for a visit.

This is an amazing place for a wedding. We just got married here, with the ceremony and reception onsite. All the managers and coordinators are just amazing. They all have exceptional attention to detail and were very helpful the whole way through. The hotel was great and very quick to respond. The price is very affordable, both the location and view are amazing. It is right in the heart of Kilkenny City, with a beautiful view of the castle. The photo opportunities are plentiful, you are sure to get amazing shots with a lot of different backgrounds. All and all, my wife and I were very happy with this venue and we recommend it to anyone who asks about the place. We will definitely be returning to stay, there is a real sense of family and love from the staff there. We were almost sad to leave. 10/10.

My wife and I held our wedding reception and after-party in Kilkenny River Court Hotel in August 2021. The hotel provided excellent service. The entire team were so helpful with making sure every little detail was just perfect for the big day. I want to make special shoutouts to Iona, Bruno, Leticia & Jose, who went above and beyond to ensure that it was an event we will remember for the rest of our lives. We all know how hard the hospitality industry has been hit with COVID restrictions in the last 18 months. Still, the hotel went above and beyond with accommodating our every request, even with our reduced headcount for the reception. The reception rooms are spacious, but the team accommodated our requests to have extra couches and coffee tables brought in so that the room didn't feel empty with a 50-person wedding, and people had a more casual space to sit and talk after the dinner. For the Afters party, we had 30 guests. The hotel closed off the room partition to make a smaller, safer space for the kids to run around in. The food was excellent, and our guests raved all night about how amazing the food was! The rooms are a great size. The three rooms we stayed in were a double room, the Bridal Suite and the Suite above the Bridal Suite, which were all of the highest levels of cleanliness. We're both looking forward to revisiting the River Court in the future on our anniversaries.

I can not put in to words how amazing the staff and hotel is. We got married here on the 29th of August. We had originally booked a hotel in Wexford and the wedding was postponed in May. We were deflated and we didn't see how it could happen. When I rang this hotel, they had such a detailed plan in place on how to manage the restrictions and guidelines and still celebrate our day. We can not commend them enough for the plan and procedures that they have in place. Every hotel should follow this hotels example. They contacted us through every change in guideline and they put a plan in place to manage it. The lead up to the wedding day was difficult for us but once we got in to this hotel, they made it so special for us and we had the most perfect wedding day experience with 24 of our closest family and friends. The attention to detail and responsiveness was brilliant. The food for the wedding and barbeque on the 2nd day was out of this world. The bridal suite is just breathtaking with views of the castle. The bar staff, cleaning staff, wedding staff all made the experience amazing. They could not do enough for us! The hotel is set next to the castle and it feels like you are on holidays when you sit out on their balcony or in the courtyard room, overlooking the castle. We believe that it worked out for the better in the end as we got to experience this amazing hotel and we will for very be thankful to the staff for making our weekend amazing. Well done to all the staff for pulling together during COVID-19 and developing a detailed plan to respond to it. I would recommend this place to any bride and groom or to anyone visiting Kilkenny

The hotel and staff are amazing. We had originally booked our wedding for a hotel in Wexford. It was postponed due to COVID. We felt so deflated and upset but then I rang this hotel and within minutes they had the perfect day planned for us, while following all guidelines. We could not believe that it was possible. The restrictions changed a number of times in the run up to the day but the hotel had plans in place to manage all restrictions. We never had to worry. They created the most perfect day for us with the most perfect backdrop and they treated us like royalty. We are so glad that our wedding day was at this hotel in the end. It is funny how it all worked out. This place will be forever special to us and our family and friends can not wait to come back to the hotel to speak to the staff and enjoy the amazing food and atmosphere in the hotel.

We would like to thank the River court Hotel and it's wonderful team, especially Iona who co-ordinated our wedding and Natalia who looked after our wedding reception on the day. They provided a fantastic service to us from the moment we enquired about having our wedding in their hotel, our wedding was organised within three months and that was possible because of the professionalism, efficiency,friendliness and excellent co-ordination from Iona. The Rivercourt was a dream to deal with nothing was too much trouble and it was all about want we wanted on our day and they delivered that 100% on our wedding day. All the staff in the hotel were extremely professional, the food was gorgeous and the service was excellent. The setting was magical with the castle lit up at night looking into the ballroom. All of our guest commented on the service, food and the hotel. Our bridal suite was beautifully with an amazing view of the castle. It really was the perfect venue for our wedding and an excellent service was provided. We really were looked after so well and made to feel so special on our special day.
