Leona Burke & Paul Henson – We got married at the Loughrea Hotel and Spa on April 18th, 2025, and everything was perfect. I didn’t realize it was possible to feel so at ease on your wedding day — and that is all thanks to Cindy, Aoife, and the entire team. Everything was seamless. People are still raving about the food and the staff — absolutely amazing. My dad (Father of the Bride) still talks about what a mighty man Tommy, who served the top table, is! Huge gratitude — we couldn’t have asked for anything better. They say something always goes wrong on your wedding day and to just go with it. Well, if you get married here, you won’t need to worry about that!

We honestly can’t thank the team enough for everything they did to make our wedding day so special. From the night before, when the bridesmaids and I stayed over, we were looked after so well – it really helped us feel relaxed and excited for the day ahead. On the day itself, everything ran so smoothly, and that’s all down to the amazing staff. They were so friendly, calm and helpful – nothing was ever too much trouble. The whole venue looked absolutely stunning, and the atmosphere was just perfect from start to finish. The food was absolutely gorgeous – we’ve had so many guests say how much they enjoyed it. We really felt like we were in safe hands the whole time and could just enjoy every moment, which is exactly what you want on your wedding day. We may have been a little apprehensive after our wedding coordinator changed leading up to the wedding but that was all put to rest once we met Aoife. She was so professional and accommodating and was always so quick to get back to us about an queries. She really made the build up before the big day as stress free as possible for us and we can't thank her enough. On the day all the staff were so helpful and ensured that all of us had everything we needed. Johnny and Stephen were still flying around into the late hours to make sure all of us really got to enjoy the day. Our guests have had nothing but good things to say about the day and although we don't plan on having to organise a wedding again, but if we did then we would definitely go back to the Loughrea Hotel as they made it a 5 star experience.

Everything from the day we booked to the actual day it was perfection. The staff on the day could not of done more for us, we had Tommy at the top table with us and he was nothing short of excellent with us, anything we needed we got and always had a smile on his face and was always checking to make sure we were okay including our two daughters.

We got married on June 27th and had our reception and day 2 at the Lough Rea hotel. As far as a team goes they are second to none. From the moment we booked, the staff were incredibly helpful and attentive, making the planning process stress-free. Communication was top notch. The venue itself was stunning, with beautiful spaces for ceremony, photos and reception. We received so many compliments from our guests about the venue, food, service, and the atmosphere itself. The rooms were comfortable and spotless clean, with incredible views - the bridal suite in particular was outstanding. Thank you Lough Rea - Aoife and Mary in particular, for making our special day unforgettable!

We had our wedding day in the Lough Rea Hotel & Spa on the 15/08/25. Our day could not have went more perfect. From start to finish all the staff at the hotel were exceptional. Aoife is brilliant at what she does and had us at ease throughout the whole process. The venue looked amazing on the day and the food was top class with plenty of everything. We got the chefs joint added on to our package for the reception and it went down a treat, our guests could not get enough of it. We had the wedding car as part of our package and our driver was very professional, he went out of his way to make our car journey more enjoyable. He waited around while we got photos and never put us under any pressure. Aoife Nee was an absolute pleasure to work with from start to finish. She was so easy to talk to, very accommodating, and had an amazing attention to detail. Her professionalism really stood out, and she checked in with us frequently in the run up and on the day, which made everything feel so relaxed and stress free. We honestly couldn’t praise the venue and staff enough, especially Aoife, our wedding coordinator. From start to finish she was incredible! She was organised, attentive, and on the ball, which made the whole day feel relaxed and effortless for us. Anything we asked for was met with a yes, and nothing ever felt like too much trouble. The food was absolutely amazing and is still being talked about by so many of our guests! The vol-au-vents in particular were a huge hit! There was plenty of food throughout the day.. We also had a gorgeous meal the night before the wedding and held our Day 2 there as well, which were just as perfect. The bridal suite is beautiful, and we even got ready there on the morning of the wedding on the rooftop, with breakfast brought up for us, which was such a lovely touch. Every detail was thought of, and the level of care and accommodation we received was second to none. We couldn’t recommend the venue or Aoife highly enough.

Aoife Nee as our wedding coordinator was a joy to deal with. She was extremely responsive and so friendly and there to answer all queries at all times however minor. The food and service was top notch and was remarked on numerous occasions to us by our guests. The function room was beautifully decorated and there was a great atmosphere in the room.

Aoife Nee was the honestly a god send for the entire event and planning. From the first time we met and to the day of the wedding dealing with sudden changes to the guest list (even going so far as to print off a completely new table plan while we were getting our photos done), she was the greatest help to us to get us sorted over the course of the wedding. Aside from the wedding coordinator, the entire day was a very smooth operation and well managed by all staff. The food was well made, and served in good time and very professionally by all the servers. The young server catering for the top table was excellent and very attentive. The music provided by the hotel, both during the reception with the trad band and the background music during the meal, was great and got many positive reactions from all the guests. The entire process from start to end has been very efficient and attentive in all aspects, and we are very glad we chose the Loughrea Hotel and Spa for our wedding celebrations.

With the Lough Rea Hotel you will be in good hands if you're having a wedding, the food, venue and staff are amazing and made our weekend. Also, the organizer, Aoife is superb and her way of getting things done to your taste seems effortless as she is obviously a professional at her job. The hospitality in this hotel was excellent, the staff all friendly and so helpful.

We had the most amazing day and was all thanks to all the team! Everything went to plan and knowing ye were there to help put us at ease! Everyone raved about the food and service! The staff couldn't do enough for us and we appreciated them always checking in with us at the top table! We want to say a special thanks to Brid at the front desk, she was very helpful with assisting us with bags and all that kind of stuff! The staff……they were friendly and attentive. They ensured our guests were well looked after…guests commented on quality of service. We were treated like royalty at the top table and overall our day was so smooth and that is down to the efficiency of all the staff involved leading up to the day and on the day itself. From the first time we viewed the Lough Rea Hotel, Damien sold us the venue straight away with his warmth and professionalism. Nicole went above and beyond to respond to multiple emails and enquiries with such a swift response. We got very lucky with the weather but everything else was down to the amazing team in the Lough Rea Hotel. Our guests praised the excellent service and fabulous food on the day, even the morning of the wedding, the hotel made sure we had breakfast and brought sandwiches up to the room before the ceremony, certainly made sure we were well looked after! Again, went above and beyond for us! We couldn’t be happier with how everything went! 3 months on, we still have guests complimenting the delicious food and how great staff were! There was never a shortage of food or drink, even into the early mornings on both nights, Pavel looked after everyone with sandwiches & was so good to everyone throughout the night while having the craic with everyone! We do however want to extend our special thanks to our truly amazing wedding co-ordinator, who is an absolute angel and brought our wedding dreams to life. Not only on the wedding day itself but on the months leading up to the wedding, she was always on hand and helped to make the somewhat stressful time of planning a wedding a rewarding and much easier process. Even the morning of the wedding, she ensured all the decor was organised to which we absolutely loved! Also, a special mention to Des, the driver of the hotel, who brought us for our photos to the lake after the ceremony and made sure we had a drink in hand- thank you Des! Our wedding at the Lough Rea Hotel and Spa was an amazing experience from the get go. Everything was brilliant. Absolutely top notch between Aoife, Paul and the other staff members, everything was absolutely brilliant. So friendly and just normal people. The food, the help given to the big day and the lead up to it. Everything was amazing, I couldn't say a bad word against them as nothing was too much.
