We got married at the Mercure Chester North Woodhey House hotel on 04/05/2014. We held the entire day from the ceremony right through to the end and would highly recommend it as a venue for a wedding. We saw the hotel at wedding fayre they held and it was there we also met Tracy the conference and events manager. We liked the look of the hotel and when we sat down and spoke with Tracy she really sold the venue to us and we decided to book. They where very flexible and allowed us to bespoke a package to suit our wishes and budget. Tracy was brilliant throughout the whole planning stage, answering all our questions we had making sure that our special day was just that. The ceremony & wedding breakfast were held in the Hawthorne Suite and it easily accommodated our 78 guests. We opted for a buffet with 3 hot choices and all the guests where delighted with the food. We also had a few extras like secret singers and a video played on the day which where all accommodated by the hotel. For the evening we had our own band playing in the evening which the easily fit in. We also had the in house DJ as part of our package. Our wedding was a musical theme so music was very important, but the DJ made sure he had everything we wanted and on the day spoke with us to ensure the night time ran as we wished. The evening buffet was bacon baps, fish and chips and it was again delicious the fish a particular highlight with the guests. The hotel needs to improve its space outside for pictures as it is a bit bare at the moment, but other than that this is a reasonably priced hotel and you get a lot more for your money than some of the more "glamorous" venues. The food is delicious, the staff are excellent and more than helpful and if you have you wedding here I am sure it will be as perfect as ours was.

My partner is in the forces and we only had 4 months to pull a wedding together for 100 people so as you can imagine it was not a stress less experience. We went to over 20 venues and nothing matched with the image of what we wanted for our day until we went to the Woodhey, it was perfect for what we wanted. We had our wedding at the Woodhey on the 19th April 2014 and it was an amazing day. The staff were friendly and polite everyone was served quickly all day (there were no queues at the bar). All my friends and family have commented on how amazing the food was which is a massive compliment as they are all fussy eaters (one eats pasta with gravy). Overall I would defiantly recommend the Woodhey to anyone who is getting married and wants their day to go as planned with no stresses. They took care of everything for us. Everyone has said it was the best wedding they have been to in years

I can not thank the staff enough for there fantastic help and service they provided before and during our wedding day. Tracey was amazing and very professional she personally over saw every little detail,she gave me huge support and made sure our special day ran without any problems. Every thing we asked for we got, the staff were always happy and glad to assist with anything, no job was to big or small. There is a lovely family atmosphere within the hotel staff. I would recommend this hotel for a wedding venue.
