We had our wedding reception at the Fell and it was amazing. Hannah organised everything from start to finish and made sure everything was perfect. We chose to keep things simple but we had lots of options for extras if we had liked. The food was fantastic and everyone was happy with our choices. We had the soup, roast beef dinner and sticky toffee pudding. The staff were excellent and everything flowed beautifully. We couldn’t have asked for it to be any better.

We got the Duke Package at the Devonshire Fell & the staff were amazing all weekend. They were so friendly & willing to help us in any way possible during the set of the hotel the day before. On the day of the wedding, the staff did all of the set up & allowed us to just ENJOY THE DAY! It was amazing. The hotel was decorated beautifully & was such a special day in an idyllic setting. We couldn't have asked for a better wedding location & we can't recommend the Devonshire Fell any higher to other couples.

What really sold The Devonshire Fell to us originally was the unspoilt amazing views and the fact it's an exclusive venue that you can really make your own. What we didn't anticipate is the incredible service from Hannah, and the team who made the whole experience much more calm, bespoke and so special, we also didn't anticipate the food served on the big day to be so top level (our guests still go on about that sticky toffee pud now!), the hotel itself and the great space to party in until late! What an amazing venue, don't hesitate - you won't regret booking it!

My wife and I held our wedding celebrations at the Devonshire Fell in October 2019. We opted for the 2 night Devonshire package. The ceremony was held at Bolton Abbey Priory. The hotel and area has always been a special place to us both, and the setting of the Fell is exceptional! From the first initial meeting with Hannah we knew this was the venue for us. Hannah was the right balance of friendly and professional throughout all the planning, and dealt with any issues promptly - without her I feel the whole process would have been much more stressful for us both. Once the big weekend arrived the whole staff at the Devonshire Fell were amazing, from the moment we arrived (‘Relax, we do a lot of weddings, don’t worry about a thing’) right through to check out. Everything went perfectly, and we couldn’t have asked for a more special day - It really was the best day of our lives. We can highly recommend the Devonshire Fell to host your wedding. It’s a great venue, which is exclusive to you and your guests making the day more intimate. The staff could not do enough to help us, our guests or the dogs. Everyone loved it! Myself and my husband had our wedding reception here on 6th September 2019. Hannah our wedding co-ordinator was fantastic meeting up with us on a regular basis and answering our questions and if she didn’t know the answer at the time she would email us it that day or the day after. Hannah was also very organised and friendly which put us at ease immediately. On the wedding day, the team were fantastic. So calm, professional and welcoming. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to have our reception and we had the best day of our lives thanks to the Devonshire Fell and Team. We had our wedding reception at The Fell in early September and it was absolutely perfect. The Fell was the first venue we looked at and instantly knew it was the right place for us - the beautiful scenic location coupled with a lovely chilled out atmosphere was exactly what we wanted so we reserved a date straight away! Our wedding planner Jessica was friendly and informative without being pushy and continued throughout our year of planning as being a great planner with nothing too much trouble for her. On the day, Nickki was absolutely fantastic, very attentive and genuinely seemed happy to be working and part of our special day. The menu we chose was still as tasty as when we had picked it on our tasting day and our guests thoroughly enjoyed all 3 courses. We woke up to gorgeous views from our suite and were greeted by staff for breakfast joined by our guests. We’ve had lots of remarks from our guests how much they had enjoyed the wedding and were equally in love with The Fell and it’s atmosphere. I want to express my sincere thanks to the staff at the Devonshire Fell for making our wedding the most wonderful day anyone could wish for. The hotel and gardens looked beautiful and everything was organised to perfection. Our guests were extremely well looked after and I have been flooded with compliments from them. The team could not do enough for us and it was clear they cared deeply that our Wedding Day was very special. Truly the best day of my life! Cannot praise highly enough.

We had such an amazing time at our wedding at the Devonshire Fell, the staff went above and beyond to make sure everything went well and were really helpful (special thanks to David and Attila who were both stars!). The venue and setting were incredible, food was very tasty and having the hotel to yourself really made the whole stay unique and truly memorable. The day was magical and totally exceeded all our expectations. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Fell and can't wait to go back to celebrate our anniversary!

We had our wedding reception at the Devonshire Fell yesterday and I cannot put into words how incredible all the staff were. They all made us feel like a prince and princess from the Wednesday before our Saturday wedding day until 4pm on the Sunday when we finally accepted it was time to leave (albeit we never wanted it to end). Our every need was attended to, particularly by David and Jennifer. The planning in the months leading up was made so smooth by Hannah’s meticulous attention to detail and the function service charter which the venue tailors for your event. Not to mention how every one of our guests ran out of superlatives to describe how amazing the chef, Rob’s food creations were throughout, from the night before BBQ, to Yorkshire breakfasts, afternoon tea and of course the wedding breakfast itself! We chose the venue because it is so dog friendly. Our Labrador Chief went with us to every meeting and he was always treated like the VIPup he is. On the day he had free run of the venue and it’s beautiful grounds and he was in his element. Finally, the breathtaking views! Just wow! I would truly recommend to anyone who wants the fairytale wedding! Thank you!

After such a wonderful experience this weekend celebrating our daughter's wedding, I thought I must put 'pen to paper' to thank you! Everything surpassed our expectations! The staff were so professional and very helpful! The food was fantastic, all breakfasts, BBQ, Afternoon Tea and Wedding Breakfast. Never tasted sticky toffee pudding like it !!!! In particular I must mention Hannah - such a talented helpful young lady who organised our every need, David - a polite, extremely willing young man, and last but not least Jennifer - what an asset she is to your business! We had our wedding at the Devonshire Fell on 23rd March 2019. Having been to a friends wedding reception at the Devonshire Fell 6 years ago we decided to have a look for our wedding. From our first meeting with Hannah and our first visit we knew it was the place for us, Hannah is professional, organised and calming and the venue warm and welcoming. Our day was made all the more special by the fantastic Devonshire Fell team who could not do enough to ensure that we and our family and friends had a day to remember. Everything ran seamlessly and the food was incredible, every one of our guests commented that it had been the most amazing day. The whole team were amazing but special mention to Hannah, David & Nicole who all went over and above to ensure that we and our guests had everything we needed. As soon as we walked in the door of the Devonshire Fell Hotel we knew it was the one ... ... for our boutique wedding – we liked that there were different spaces in the bar, conservatory, bistro, dining room and chairs by an open fire. The location and views are breathtakingly stunning, photos don’t do it justice. The staff were fantastic from beginning to end, we felt very spoiled and indulged. Nothing was too much trouble. EVERYONE commented on how fantastic it was and worth the journey – it’s an hour from our house and wasn’t local for anyone. The food was stunning and portions generous, the team worked their socks off getting it to the tables quickly and piping hot. The onion and white cider soup was incredible and the vegetarian toad in the hole divine. The carnivores were very well serviced too! There were a lot of thoughtful, experienced touches for example how the dining room was laid out for our wedding breakfast and how separate canapes and drinks were reserved for the bride and groom to make sure we didn’t miss out. The staff deserve special mention as they were ¬all so professional, warm, considerate, thoughtful and genuinely interested – they worked so hard for our day. Hannah as the wedding coordinator was patient, efficient, reliable, good natured, fun and supportive. Deputy Manager Helen worked her socks off on our wedding day, she worked so hard and with good grace answering all queries and quietly running around. Paul tended bar with efficient humour – the best hot chocolate ever must not be missed! Anna really looked after us and also worked hard with dinner and bar service. The lovely chap who served breakfast (sorry we didn’t get your name) and Manager Jen did everything she could to help us make decisions. Truly, the best day of our lives and a lot of that was because of the Devonshire Fell and its lovely team. Mr and Mrs Johnstone x

Thank you so much for our beautiful wedding day Saturday!! I can't even tell you how much we love the fell and the people in it! Our first time at the fell was almost 2 years ago and we have visited at least 5 times since! It is so special to us, that when we got engaged there was no other option but the fell for our venue. First of all can I just say thank goodness you all have a sense of humour! You must have thought we were crackers, but you joined in with our chilled personalities and nothing was too much trouble! Hannah's relaxed and meticulous planning meant that I hadn't to worry about a thing on the morning or throughout the day. She had everywhere where they needed to be at the right time even us! If I could have her plan my everyday life I would! Helen, what an angel! There for me on the morning when our baby girl had me up from 3am, had me drinking coffee and eating and there to keep me calm when I was about to walk down the aisle and again to see her and Hannah's lovely faces to greet us afterwards with champagne was like seeing friends! Paul for the smooth running and keeping the guests in line when they kept asking if their room was ready! Having a good laugh with us, it's all we wanted our day to be like, a good fun giggle and you all joined in for which I'm so grateful. My walking down the aisle song was called Feels Like Home, it has a few meanings to us and the fell definitely feels like a home away from home. It's our special place and from the bottom of our hearts thank you all so very much for being a major part of our day!! We got married at the Devonshire Fell in August and cannot express how fantastic this place is for a wedding venue! We were so lucky with the weather which meant guests were able to enjoy all the lovely outside space on offer! Throughout our planning the previous organiser left, however upon meeting Hannah we were quickly reassured there was nothing to be worried about! Hannah was brilliant, so friendly and organised, always quick to respond to any queries, left nothing to concern. On the day everything went perfectly, the food was amazing, every member of staff so attentive. Special thanks to Jennifer who is a credit to the Fell ! She really was a superstar and very attentive the day ran effortlessly nothing was too much trouble and up until the next day when we left you were made to feel like special guests! We just wanted to thank you so much for everything you did to help us in the lead up to our big day. There are not enough words to describe how amazing The Devonshire Fell made our wedding feel. From beginning to end the entire team were fantastic. The whole team were friendly, attentive and worked with ease around the crowds. Special mentions have to go to; Hannah (events manager) for co-ordinating the entire day with a relaxed approach, a trait that was very welcomed, Helen (deputy manager) for being absolutely fantastic throughout our entire stay, especially in the morning when my bridal party were getting ready- she was always up for a giggle, and then Anita for making the most amazing hot toddies to help me rid my cold. I also have to say an enormous thank you to the chef!! Gary and I took the decision to offer our guests the choice to pre-select their menu and it was worth every penny! The quality of the food was absolutely amazing and I know everyone loved the food. To any future couple I cannot recommend The Devonshire Fell enough, partied up with Vanessa Wellock (florist) Kathryn Widdowson (photographer) and Rachel Neilson (make up) you really are in for a very special day where I can guarantee you’ll feel like a king and queen. We chose the Devonshire Fell for our wedding as it was the perfect venue for us. We wanted a small and intimate wedding so the Dalzell Room was perfect for the ceremony and the wedding breakfast. The hotel room was huge with plenty of room for family, photographer and hairdresser and provided us with some lovely photos as well as a good nights sleep-the bathroom was gorgeous too. The food was lovely and the menu choice was extensive as well as reasonably priced. We enjoyed a huge breakfast before heading off on honeymoon. The hotel was perfect for our small wedding and we would definitely recommend it.
