From the very beginning, we knew we were in safe hands, but the care, kindness and attention we received went above and beyond anything we could have asked for. Emma, our wedding coordinator, was absolutely amazing. She was always there for us, nothing was ever too much trouble, and she made the whole process feel so easy and stress-free. We genuinely couldn’t have asked for a better person to help us bring our special day together. A huge thank you also to Alan and Warren, the managers, who were fantastic throughout. Their help, kindness and professionalism were second to none. Every little detail was looked after, and we always felt that our wedding was just as important to them as it was to us. What made Shamrock Lodge so special for us was how comfortable and welcome we felt. It never felt like we were just another wedding — it genuinely felt like home. The staff were so warm, friendly and accommodating, and they couldn’t do enough for us or our families. Our wedding day was everything we dreamed it would be and more, and so many of our memories from the day are tied to the incredible people at Shamrock Lodge. I really can't thank you enough for all you did for myself and Eric and our families. Ye really couldn't have done anymore from the decorating to the food and even helping to get Lilah up the aisle. We recently had the pleasure of having our Wedding in the Shamrock Lodge Hotel and honestly we had the best few days here! From the day before to the day after we had the best weather, music and of course food. The day itself was stress free and everything ran so smoothly. We'd like to say a very big thank you to Emma, our fabulous wedding co-ordinator and Warren, Alan & Paddy for how well they had everything moving for us. The days itself was amazing from start to finish and we are so glad to have spent it in the fabulous Shamrock Lodge. Our guests are still talking about the food and atmosphere here. We had such an amazing time celebrating our wedding at the Shamrock Lodge hotel. The staff and wedding coordinator couldn't have done more for us. It really was a magical day and I wish we could do it all again! From the preparations to the day itself, they made everything so simple and easy. They really took the stress out of organising a wedding.

I couldn't recommend enough i couldn't fault anything. My daughter has autism and special requests for food and they looked after her. None of my guests had any problems and wer looked after. From the family that run it to staff members to the wedding planer we all really lovely people. The place was spotless . The food was beautiful and a lot of people had no room for dessert the wer so full from the dinner. I couldn't recommend this place enough the really made out day special xxxxx

We held our wedding here and it truly was the best day ever. The staff were all incredibly accommodating from start to finish, Raj was exceptionally helpful making sure every detail was handled so we could just enjoy the moment. Our guests haven't stopped talking about what a wonderful time they had (we want to do it all again). If you're looking for a venue that genuinely cares about your big day, I can't recommend them enough!

We chose the Shamrock Hotel for a whole host of reasons. We looked up the reviews, the distance to be travelled by both of our families, the calm and pretty trees in the avenue, the garden, the friendly and helpful staff, Emma the hotel's wedding coordinator, who was so supportive and for her attention to details in the months and days leading to the wedding, the quality and value of the Princess Grace wedding package. On the day of our wedding reception, we could not have been more pleased with how it all went.. from the welcoming candle-lit lanterns at the entrance, to the champagne and strawberry reception, the dining room was beautifully dressed, the food and wine provided were top class and the attention of Alex, Warren, Paddy and all of their staff on the day and again on the following day was second to NONE. We are so thankful to them all. We highly recommend this venue, and we plan to return for further family events. Thanks also to APPLEBY jewellers in Dublin, where we purchased our beautiful rings, to Blooming Hues, Moylough, for the gorgeous bridal bouquet, button hole and table arrangements and to Bob for the music which kept our guests on their feet till the small hours of the next day! We had the most incredible experience celebrating our wedding at the Shamrock Lodge Hotel on 20 December, 2025. Planning a wedding from Australia was definitely a challenge, but the team at the Shamrock Lodge made everything so much easier, especially their amazing Wedding and Events Manager, Emma. Her communication, support and guidance were exceptional from start to finish. We stayed at the Lodge for the entire week leading up to the wedding, and it was the perfect place to relax, prepare, and soak in the excitement. Our families also stayed at the Lodge for the event, including extended family who flew in internationally. To say we had a number of different requirements was an understatement, yet every request was handled with such patience, flexibility and genuine care. Getting ready on-site on the morning of the wedding made everything seamless before having both our ceremony and reception at the Lodge. Our guests are still talking about the warm atmosphere, the beautiful setup and the outstanding service. The food was fantastic, and every detail was handled with professionalism and heart. We were delighted to support a local venue and were blown away by the level of care, professionalism and genuine warmth from everyone involved. You can tell they truly care about what they do and the people they look after. The food was absolutely fabulous — every single guest complimented it, and the portions were so generous, with plenty for everyone. Our wedding coordinator, Emma was also amazing. She was so relaxed, really listened to what we wanted, and nothing was ever a problem. She made the whole process stress-free and her decor skills are incredible — everything looked beautiful. From there, we were invited for a delicious tasting meal so we could customise our wedding menu. I thoroughly enjoyed that evening and was delighted to meet other couples too. The quick meet up before the big day was great; the hotel wedding coordinator took any stresses we had away... We left all the centrepieces, food & drinks, candy cart/wishing well set-ups, etc. to them. Mary and the team really did look after everything for us! We were so relieved. On the day itself, our arrival was so special, as we were greeted with a red carpet & champagne by Alan & Paddy. We both felt like royalty on our day, and we feel like family ever since. This hotel is so hands-on and detail-oriented. Their staff were all so attentive and friendly. The Shamrock Lodge Hotel is so used to weddings that its experience shines through. They know exactly what is needed and surpassed our already high expectations on the day. We are both so grateful for all they do for us each and every visit. A hidden gem in Athlone. Such a fantastic hotel, from the friendliest team, to the unreal food, and probably some of the best Guinness around. It is a family-run hotel and you are treated like family too; they want to make your day as special as they can. Thank you for being part of our special day. Where do we even start. From the get-go go The Shamrock Lodge were amazing. From start to finish, they were always there on the other end of the phone/email for any query, big or small. Doireann, Mary, Warren & Alan plus Paddy and team, were fantastic. Couldn't do enough for us. The set up was fab (Loved our sign btw), food was amazing (loved the black pudding starter) and the overall treatment was 5 star. Everyone complimented the hotel and said it was the best wedding they had been to in a long time. The grounds were even perfect for photos, we didn't have to travel anywhere which was fantastic. The Lodge lends itself with its beautiful grounds. If anyone is looking for a Wedding venue where the experience is 5 star & the team will look after you so well I highly recommend The Shamrock Lodge.
