Absolutely amazing day we all had celebrating our wedding day with our family and friends in the Shamrock Lodge Hotel. We can't thank the staff enough for the incredible service, food and professionalism with everything. The Shamrock Lodge made our wedding day preparations and day so easy ,relaxing and special. We felt so confident that the day would be fantastic and that it was due to the hard work from all at the Shamrock Lodge who made this possible. We can't thank Paddy , Alan and all the staff at the Shamrock Lodge enough. Special thanks to Mary who answered all out questions and helped us out with all we needed.

Where do we even start. From the get-go go The Shamrock Lodge were amazing. From start to finish, they were always there on the other end of the phone/email for any query, big or small. Doireann, Mary, Warren & Alan plus Paddy and team, were fantastic. Couldn't do enough for us. The set up was fab (Loved our sign btw), food was amazing (loved the black pudding starter) and the overall treatment was 5 star. Everyone complimented the hotel and said it was the best wedding they had been to in a long time. The grounds were even perfect for photos, we didn't have to travel anywhere which was fantastic. The Lodge lends itself with its beautiful grounds. If anyone is looking for a Wedding venue where the experience is 5 star & the team will look after you so well I highly recommend The Shamrock Lodge. From the minute we sat down and had our first chat with Alan, we knew we would have nothing to worry about, Alan couldn’t have been more helpful and nothing was too big an ask! We had our wedding in the Shamrock Lodge Hotel in Athlone. It was the best day of our lives. From the minute we arrived the night before until the day we left, the staff were amazing, they couldn’t do enough for us. Doireann was a dream. She literally did everything for us and we would have been lost without her. Everyone is still talking about the hotel and what a great day they all had there. The photos/videos outside in the garden were beautiful. There isn’t one thing we would want to change about the day. Thank you to all at the Shamrock Lodge.

We got married at the Shamrock Lodge Hotel Athlone on the 26th of October 2023 and from the moment we started the process with the team it was a dream come true. We were lucky enough to work with Alan, Mary and Rebecca in organizing our special day. We wanted a slightly less traditional wedding, and very much leaned into the Halloween theme and not for one second was it questioned or was an alternative suggested they were all for it. Rebecca couldn't have done enough for us. My wife's family wanted to see the venue a few times throughout the process and each time they were welcomed. Our menu tasting was great and there was no issue bringing along our maid of honour and her partner for some second opinions. On the day of our wedding, if it could have gone wrong, it went wrong. A missing groomsman, major traffic and road works, a replacement celebrant who we'd never met... the list goes on but Rebecca and the team kept it all running smoothly and took away any of our worries. Our guests couldn't have complimented the staff, the atmosphere or the food enough. We even had some guests change their starters when they saw how good everything looked! We had a great day and it was all made so special by the hard work and staff of the Shamrock Lodge! To Paddy, Alan, Mary & Rebecca thank you so much for making our day so special and to all the staff who kept the drinks flowing too, our guests couldn't stop talking about how friendly everyone was. From the moment we got engaged we knew that we wanted to have our wedding at Shamrock Lodge. We were thrilled to discover that November 2nd was available. The planning started and the team at The Lodge were so helpful providing a list of suggested vendors to help us get started. All through the process Paddy, Alan, Warren, Raj, Mary, Doireann and the entire team were amazing. On the day itself once again the entire team worked hard to make sure our day was special. The team had set the room up beautifully and prepared the seating plan with the colour scheme in mind. The meal was delicious, piping hot and was much complimented by our guests. Alan, Raj and the team serving were friendly, efficient and very attentive. Nothing was too much trouble. Guests with special dietary requirements were catered for without fuss and were reassured that all sauces, gravy and soups were gluten-free. As a couple, we were encouraged by Raj to take a few minutes alone after the meal and this was much appreciated. Our day was very special and ran very smoothly The team at The Lodge are second to none, the couple and their guests come first and it shows. All of our guests were impressed with the warm friendly atmosphere in the hotel. The smiles on all the staff faces are genuine and contribute positively to a wonderful welcoming and friendly environment We are beyond thrilled with our day and so very thankful to Paddy, Alan, Warren, Raj and their entire team. There are no words to describe our wedding day, I have been in tears ever since! The emotions are high Doireann and the team gave us the best day of our lives. I really haven’t got the right words for you right now because I’m just overwhelmed with happiness, there isn’t one thing that we would change about how our day went. Doireanns help was above and beyond what we ever expected. Doireann, raj, Alan, and warren and all the staff just knocked us off our feet with support and love. The Shamrock Lodge was excellent in the lead-up to and on the day of our wedding. We met with Raj, Doireann, and the team a few times during the planning process, and they had everything covered. They were brilliant at breaking down the day and ensuring that everything went exactly the way we wanted. We had a humanist ceremony and reception, and with the team's help, everything went seamlessly and smoothly. The team was punctual throughout the day and always available for any minor checks. They truly helped make our day about the celebration and allowed everything to run as planned. We would highly recommend the Shamrock Lodge—perfectly located, with a feeling of having the hotel all to yourselves. This hotel deserves all the praise, as they are excellent at weddings.

Having been a guest at countless weddings at the Shamrock Lodge I recently got married there myself and couldn’t rate the staff and facilities enough. It has always been the best place in Athlone for service and care to the wedding couple and guests alike. Food has always been amazing and they went out of their way to cater to guests with allergies and children who are fussy eaters. We can’t praise them enough. We also had cocktails as an added extra and they had gone above and beyond with how they displayed the tables. Can’t rate them highly enough.

We want to thank all the team at the Shamrock Lodge for making our big day so special, we couldn't have asked for more. If we could do it all again we would. From the first day of viewing the lodge up to our wedding day the service and communication were impeccable. Our guests were so impressed with the venue for the wedding ceremony, and the quick turnaround of the room. The service and food was amazing. We had our civil ceremony & reception at the Shamrock Lodge Hotel a few months ago, and it was amazing. Everybody, from the wedding coordinator to the hotel staff, was brilliant the whole day. They were nothing but helpful, checking in with us regularly to make sure all was running smoothly. We could not fault them! We would highly recommend them for not just weddings, but any occasion!

We recently celebrated our wedding reception at the Shamrock Lodge Hotel on July 18th 2024. What can I say? The hotel management and staff were just amazing to deal with from start to finish. They have a fantastic Wedding event coordinator named Doireann. Doireann was very supportive and was always just an email away for any ideas or options we wanted to discuss, nothing was too big or too small and we felt valued throughout the whole process. Everything was exceptional on our wedding day, the food was amazing, the staff were so helpful and friendly and everything was exactly as I had described and envisioned! We received endless amounts of positive feedback from our guests about the exceptional food and customer service they experienced on our Wedding day. We had our wedding reception at the Shamrock Lodge Hotel and it was by far the best decision we made. The service here was amazing and we were so happy with everything on our special day. The staff go above and beyond to make sure you have the best day ever! You really could not fault this hotel. The food is fabulous. The Shamrock Lodge Hotel was the perfect location for our wedding day. We had both our ceremony and our reception there. Our ceremony was held outside in the lovely garden area that was decorated so beautifully and the ceremony was by Rev. Geraldine Bown. We had a drinks and canape reception afterwards which catered for all tastes and diets, there was a great variety on offer. The decor for our reception was again done so well. All of our requests were met and nothing was too much to ask. We felt so well looked after and equally importantly our guests were well catered for. The food was top class and both the beef and the lemon sole were popular with all. Although we had a big wedding, it felt like an intimate day. Heartfelt thanks to Paddy, Warren, Alan, Doireann and all the staff for their professionalism throughout.

From our visit to see the venue to the wedding day itself, it was a very enjoyable and hassle-free experience. Despite the unpredictable Irish weather, we wished for an outdoor ceremony at the venue - The Shamrock Lodge came up trumps. The garden was laid out beautifully for us, and there was a backup plan in case the sun did not shine. After our ceremony, the drinks and canopies reception was laid out beautifully and catered for all dietary requests. It was really important to both of us to have our wedding day at a venue that is well renowned for its great wedding dinners. The Shamrock Lodge did not disappoint; our guests really enjoyed the starters, soup (a big hit), lemon sole and beef dessert and, of course, the great wine that accompanied the food. The management and staff did a fantastic job with both the outdoor and indoor decor and thought of everything. The service was second to none. Paddy, Warren, Alan and Doireann were constantly available and made sure everything ran smoothly on the day. The fact that we were able to have our ceremony and reception at The Shamrock Lodge meant that it was seamless for guests to get from one to the other. Many of our guests stayed the night, and all highly rated the rooms, service and breakfast. The personal touch of a family-run business cannot be beaten.

The Shamrock Lodge was the only hotel where we could celebrate our wedding. Being a family-run hotel makes it even more special. Paddy, Alan, Warren, Doireann and all the amazing staff couldn't do enough for us in preparation for our wedding day and on the day itself. No ask was too big or too small. The food was outstanding, and everyone complimented it. The hotel is beautiful, we got fabulous photos on the grounds, and the ballroom was set up perfectly for the number of guests we had. We highly recommend The Shamrock Lodge for a wedding and look forward to other events there.

It wasnt just the day that was special, it was at every transaction with every staff member, every phone call and every email before and after that we had with your hotel. I can honestly say that your customer experience, personal touch, genuine care for your customers and the love you all have for a family run hotel is what makes you stand out by a country mile! Even when I think of the Shamrock Lodge now I get a lovely warm feeling. We absolutely loved everything about our time with you for our wedding day. Your dedication, passion and attention to detail eliminated all the stress of planning a wedding with 2 small children and this was a MASSIVE point for us. We felt really at home with the care and hospitality you gave us, our families and guests. You took such good care of us. The food was absolutely beautiful, and everyone commented on it. You really looked after our 2 very sensitive coeliacs, one of whom was my mother-in-law, so that was excellent!

In our thank-you speech on the day, we spoke of how coming to the Lodge was like coming home to family. They gave us the much-needed reassurance and calmness when we were most anxious about wedding preparations. The day was flawless, perfect and memorable. From the very start, the shamrock lodge was a fantastic experience. They were brilliant in helping us with every little detail of our day. Our wedding coordinator was fabulous. We had a combined wedding Irish Italian and they were so happy to accommodate everything we requested. The wedding room was very elegant. Down to the little details everything was perfect. The hall where we had our meal was decorated exactly how we wanted and was all we could have wished for. The food was amazing as always and service was 100 percent. We partied the night away!
