It is such a fabulous setting. From our first meeting with Vilma, we loved it and booked it straight away. She was always a pleasure to deal with, and from that point on, everything was plain sailing; no request was too small, and no question went unanswered. On the day itself, everything was fantastic, and we were blown away. The newly refurbished ballroom looked amazing. As for the food, I can safely say it is the best wedding food we've ever had. So many of our guests complimented the food; the chef and all the kitchen staff deserve a lot of credit. All the staff were so friendly and accommodating, but a big shout-out to Craig, who was brilliant on the day. Our wedding day was perfect, and the Clayton was a big part of that. From the moment we stepped into the Clayton Hotel Sligo and met with the wedding coordinator Vilma, we knew it was the right choice for us. From the warm greeting at first to the vision that was presented to us, we were sold. We attended the wedding fair hosted at the Clayton, which gave us a glimpse of what to expect, and it was out of this world! The food on offer, the decor, and the staff were amazing, to say the least. They were so friendly and always on hand to answer any questions. From that point on, Vilma was there, managing everything down to the fine details. We were invited to a tasting menu, which definitely did not disappoint. They catered to every need and paid attention to the finest details, leaving us very happy. Then the day arrived, and Vilma and her team were on the ball from minute one. The layout was spectacular, the staff were amazing, and the reception food and drinks were unreal. The timing from the staff right down to the meal was impeccable, and the meal itself has guests still talking about it six weeks later. It was wonderful all around. It was hard to fault anything; it was such a fabulous day. I found it difficult to relinquish control over decorating the room, but when I walked into the reception, they turned everything I envisioned in my mind into reality. The extra details, from the seating plan and menu to cutting down branches, were exceptional. Everyone has come back to us with amazing responses about the hotel; the food was superb. Picking a venue for the big day is so important, and we definitely made the right choice by selecting the Clayton Hotel.

I had my wedding at the Clayton Hotel Sligo on the 11th of May, 2024. Everybody commented on how beautiful the food was and the amount they were given. The staff were very helpful and friendly, and the rooms were beautiful. The hotel even gave my mum a room to accommodate her mobility. Vilma, the wedding coordinator, was outstanding throughout my whole wedding planning. The scenery around the hotel is just beautiful. It was like a castle; I felt like a princess that day. I can't recommend it enough. It's close to the town, yet it's situated in a beautiful private area.

We had our ceremony and reception in Clayton, Sligo. Vilma was great to communicate with; she obviously has experience in organising and overseeing weddings. Big thank you to Vilma. All staff were so helpful and would do everything to make our day special. The food was delicious; everyone complimented it. Breakfast had a lot of choices. The bar staff were friendly and nice. The hotel staff decorated the venue beautifully, and the setting was really good. We would recommend Sligo Clayton Hotel.

The Clayton Hotel was amazing for our wedding in June 2021. They went above and beyond to make our day so special and make our guests feel so welcome. Can we just compliment the wonderful experience you and your team provided us with for our wedding day on the 06.08.2021. From the very first email I received from Arune regarding our reception enquiry, I just knew this was going to be the perfect venue for us. When I went to view the venue I just fell in love with the semi-private area. Upon arrival to the hotel on Friday afternoon the 6th August we were greeted by a lovely team of staff who waited ever so patiently while we had photos taken. Soon after we were guided in by Dylan and Joseph and taken to our tables. We were absolutely blown away with how the room was decorated and laid out, totally beyond our wildest dreams. The setting, the decor, and the ambience was just breathtaking. The food was just amazing, every single morsel was melt in the mouth. And what a team of staff, Joesph, Dylan and Grainne.

Reginald and I just wanted to thank you one more time for the amazing experience, from the wedding to the service, to the rooms, to the food, it was truly special. We won't become strangers to the hotel because when a place makes you feel that way you just have to come back. Thank you for everything you did for us. As soon as we arrived to the hotel all the team made us feel very special and I have no words to describe how: the welcoming, the red carpet, the prosecco, the service... But the biggest surprise was just to come, OMG the dinner room!! We were absolutely in love with every single detail and we were just over the moon with everything. The food was superb, the service exquisite (please extend our thanks to Valerie, Joseph and all their team because they were so friendly and professional), the Chef coming to the table...as I said, I have no words to thank enough for what you did for us. You really made our day and it was not easy under the current circumstances, fair play to you all and we will always remember our little wedding reception in the Clayton with a big smile in our faces. We will be looking forward to come back, maybe for our anniversary.

Our amazing experience in the Clayton From the moment we went in we were treated like royalty. The room was out of this world, so lovely to have prosecco and strawberries awaiting us. The meal was only gorgeous, we wish we could have all options. Darragh was nothing but an absolute gentleman, he was helpful and so friendly and made our menu tasting so relaxed and enjoyable. The chef was amazing, he came out and spoke with us about the meal and such a friendly man. Joseph was another great gentleman he made sure we were looked after and even brought breakfast to our room. We and our guests had an amazing day. To say I was blown away with the ceremony room would be an understatement. It was so beautiful and surpassed anything I could have imagined. The service throughout the day and including the meal was perfect. The registrar said that it was the nicest room set up she had seen in a hotel in Sligo and the photographer loved it too. Thank you again for being so helpful and accommodating.

Me and my now wife spent a wonderful few days here for our wedding. During covid we faced massive uncertainties and frankly the Clayton came to our rescue having had our initial wedding cancelled. From the outset the Clayton were a pleasure to deal with and continually went above and beyond. Friendly, hardworking and personable staff. Excellent food. Marvellous accommodation. It's a shame we couldn't make further use of their amenities due to Covid as I'm sure they too would have been outstanding. We left there feeling they had truly gone above and beyond in all aspects. I would recommend them as a hotel and business to anyone. I would also urge any couples facing wedding issues to also get in touch with them as they truly made our day special in the face of massive uncertainties. Thank you to all the staff.

We had our wedding here on the 18th of October 2019, and we cannot praise Sandra, Sarah and all the staff at the Clayton hotel Sligo enough. We had a wedding of 80 adults and a few children. From the very beginning Sandra was fantastic to deal with. There was never an issue too big or too small to deal with. I have to commend all staff, be it reception staff, to bar staff or the waiting staff, any time that my now husband would be on the premises they all pretty much greeted us by name, asking all about the wedding etc. It gave such a family and homely atmosphere during the run up and on the day of the wedding. We had our ceremony in the hotel too, so I had all my morning preparations in the hotel the morning of the wedding. The rooms are extraordinary!! So big bright airy spacious rooms. The ceremony room was decorated fantastically, it really didn't feel part of the hotel. Every little detail was taken care of. We had the drinks reception then the wedding reception. We had our wedding pictures taken on both the amazing grounds of the hotel and in Hazelwood nearby. The food during the reception was fabulous, I'm salivating just thinking about it! We had a number of guests with difficult intolerances to cater for, and the food they had was as equally tasty as what everyone else had. I had never attended a wedding before where platters for seconds were brought around, this was to much delight of a number of guests! The beef went down a storm, and I personally will be back for the hake. My partner and I were inundated with queries of how we came upon this hotel, and guests complimenting all staff, the location, the rooms, the facilities and the food etc. I genuinely could not fault the hotel or any of the staff. All of this meant my partner and I just had the most relaxed easy day and allowed us to just enjoy our day. We had the most amazing wedding day in the Clayton Hotel Sligo. We got married in the charming Canis Major chapel on the grounds which was not only absolutely stunning but was also so handy since we had lots of guests from overseas who had already travelled so much to be there. The scenic driveway really impressed our guests and set the tone for a stellar day. Our reception was in the Pegasus ballroom, everything had been tailored to our taste and style as a couple perfectly - we loved every second of our big day. Amazing Hotel in the heart of Sligo. Made even more amazing by the staff. This really is a gem that has to be seen to be believed. We had our wedding here at the end of August and all the staff went above and beyond for us. They took care of everything we needed. Minded the bride, groom and the whole party with such care both to our face and in the background. Had my wedding here in September 2019, we had the most amazing day. The staff went above and beyond their duties especially Sandra O'Hara and Laurie Kenna who treated us like royalty. All our guests on the day told us that the food was top class and there was not one complaint. To top it off the weather was amazing we couldn't of asked for a better day. The Perfect Wedding We would like to thank all at The Clayton Hotel for giving us such a wonderful Wedding Day. We had 100 guests stay at the hotel for 3 nights, the wedding celebrations started from the moment they stepped off the coach from the airport, where they were greeted with champagne, canapes and a smile. The service throughout the hotel was exemplary from staff in all areas, our guests were extremely well looked after all weekend. Our Wedding Day was extra special, with our ceremony in the Chapel in the grounds of the hotel, followed by a drinks reception then the wedding reception in the ballroom. The meal in the evening was outstanding with plenty of it, followed by a lovely buffet, our guests were very well fed all day, and the ones that had the roast beef couldn't stop talking about how amazing it was. We can not thank Sandra O'Hara enough, the wedding manager, for giving us such a special day, her professionalism and efficiency made the whole day go so smoothly, which allowed us to enjoy our day as well, nothing was too much trouble. We would highly recommend The Clayton Hotel, Sligo for a Wedding, with its idyllic grounds, superb staff, fantastic facilities, amazing food, and great accommodation, everything in one place this is the perfect location for a wedding.
