The Abbey Hotel and staff really made our wedding day so special. From day one, when we walked in the door we fell in love- not only with the venue but with the service, the food and the general atmosphere. We lost count of the compliments our guests gave the hotel over our wedding weekend- mostly commenting on the service, but also the magnificent food and beautiful decor. Lisa, the wedding coordinator was magic from day one. Nothing was an issue. Herself and the team made all our dreams come true and gave us a day that we will never forget. Adrian, the manager made the whole experience so personal and treated us like family for the whole weekend. The priorities for our wedding day were good food and stress-free entertainment that both we and our guests could enjoy. The Abbey Hotel in Roscommon delivered on this and much, much more. From the very first day we met Lisa, she was dedicated to us and our day throughout all the preparations. With her exceptional experience, she advised us on quality vendors, suitable timings, locations for photographs, and the most seamless way to run the day, making it most enjoyable for our guests. We trusted her completely, even though we had never met her before. We could rest easy in the days leading up to the wedding, knowing everything was taken care of. On our wedding day, Lisa and her team were so professional that we barely noticed them as they organised the reception and meal to an outstanding standard. Lisa and Adrian supported us so much on the day that we could be part of the wedding party and not just the main event and organisers. They took the organisation into their own hands and dealt with anything that needed attention on the day. The Abbey Hotel Roscommon is renowned for its high-quality food, and this was no different for our nearly 170 guests. The venue itself is surrounded by beautiful grounds and an old abbey ruin, which was ideal for photographs, particularly in the autumn. In the days after the wedding, family and friends praised the friendliness of the staff and their willingness to go above and beyond to ensure everyone was enjoying themselves. We were recommended the Abbey Roscommon by friends. After checking it out and meeting Lisa, we knew it was the perfect location. The hotel and grounds are beautiful, providing the perfect backdrop for pictures both inside and out, especially with the old abbey and the gorgeous staircase. The staff were amazing on the day; they honestly could not have done more for us, and Lisa was a pleasure to work with. I can honestly say that I did not have one worry about the day; Lisa had everything organised. The food was absolutely fabulous!

From the moment we visited the Abbey Hotel, Lisa made us feel right at home and we knew it would be a great venue for our wedding. It was a real family hotel feeling with attention to detail and lots of tips and advice. In the weeks before the wedding and the day of the wedding, the staff were very helpful and a pleasure to work with. The food from the start of the reception to the dinner was amazing. We had a fantastic day with memories to last a lifetime in the Abbey Hotel.

I cannot recommend The Abbey Hotel enough. They were amazing from our first meeting and we knew this was the venue for us. Lisa was absolutely fantastic in the lead-up to our big day.
