We had our beautiful autumn wedding in the Abbey last October. From the beginning Lisa, provided real guidance on what is important to focus on and listened to our ideas, anything we asked for was made possible and more. Our guests gave us so many compliments on the food and attentiveness of staff. The attention to detail was always there and we could really relax knowing everything would be taken care of. We cannot recommend the Abbey highly enough for anyone planning their big day.

We had the best Wedding Day at Abbey Hotel, Roscommon. Everything went smoothly on the day itself and all Staff and management went out of their way to ensure everyone was happy. Many people complimented the Amazing Menu and Food, It was delicious. Just as nice as on our Menu Tasting day. Lisa & Geraldine were always on hand to answer any questions we had leading up to our big day. And also happy to accommodate any requests we have. Anyone thinking of Viewing the Abbey as a Potential Venue will fall in love with it once you view it just like we did, So I'd recommend you have a viewing. The family also mentioned the Beds were very comfortable and they had the best sleep too.

From the day we looked at the Abbey as a potential Wedding avenue up to our Wedding Date I couldn’t recommend the Abbey enough. The hotel itself is beautiful with a really homely vibe you would know that is is family run as they make you feel part of the family. The staff were so lovely and so helpful. On the day, the wedding timing was ran to perfection no waiting around and everyone raved about the food, with one person even calling the hotel to see could the get the soup recipe!! From start to finish it was amazing and they do everything to tailor the wedding to your own individual needs. We would highly recommend the Abbey and have done so over the last few months

We had our wedding here on the 24th June 2023 and it wad everything we dreamed of. We had a couple of days rain before our day so we decided to have our ceremony inside, the staff did an amazing job making the room look beautiful which allowed myself and Ian to relax the evening before knowing we were in good hands. Our wedding day was absolutely amazing the sun was shining which allowed us to get pictures outside with the amazing back drop of the Abbey. The food on the day was amazing everyone commented on the food so thank you chef. Lisa the wedding co -ordinator was brilliant helped us work through any issues we were having and thanks to her our day went off without any trouble. Would 100% recommend the abbey to anyone looking for a wedding venue. ________________________________________

The Abbey, and particularly Lisa and Adrian Grealy couldn't have done enough for us. It really felt like home to us the weekend of our wedding, and every single thing was impeccable, from the food to the staff to the rooms to the weather! Every single guest commented on how wonderful the food was and how friendly and helpful the staff are. From our initial meeting with Lisa we knew we were in safe hands, nothing was an issue or concern she promised she would make it happen and make our day special. Lisa & the abbey certainly delivered. We had great piece of mind in the run up to the wedding knowing we could trust Lisa & Adrian and helped us be at complete ease on the day. The Abbey have the perfect balance of professionalism and friendliness, which allowed us and our guests to relax and enjoy the day while being completely looked after every second. Our wedding meal was outstanding, all our guests commented on how excellent the service and food was on the day. The meal was served in a timely manner, food was served hot and the dishes were simply delicious. Ciara, Edmund, Stuart, Jack are just a few names that stood out to Adrian and I who really cared for our guests and delivered excellent service behind the bar and during the meal. The entire Team at the Abbey were helpful, friendly and professional, we honestly felt like we were leaving friends. We cant thank Lisa and the Team enough for delivering our perfect special day and making it completely stress free, we enjoyed every second.

From the 12th April 2021 when we first met Lisa we were delighted with our decision to pick the Abbey for our wedding reception. Our little girl was only a couple of months & she was with us. She kicked up a bit of a fuss but Lisa didn’t mind that. Each time we called in she was with us and was always treated with biscuits & a drink. Every staff member we dealt with throughout our time organizing were all so genuine & helpful. So easy & hassle free, anything we needed or had an issue with just an email & everything would be sorted. The 20th May ‘23 the day of our wedding we got a lovely welcome as did all our guest with plenty of refreshments for everyone. We were lead into the function room and everything was set up to perfection for us. We had left in pictures and different bits to be set up, nothing was forgotten. The function room was set up so beautifully. The meal was absolutely top class. Our guests are still telling us how good it was and plenty of it. The service team were excellent from start to finish. We can’t thank everyone in The Abbey enough for making one of the most important & joyous days of our lives one to always remember. The best day was had. Highly recommend this hotel for weddings. Where do we even start? A massive thank you to all of you for making our wedding day so special. From day one when we walked in the door we fell in love- not only with the venue but with the service, the food and the general atmosphere. We lost count of the compliments our guests gave the hotel this weekend- mostly commenting on the service, but also the magnificent food and beautiful decor. Lisa- you were magic from day one. Nothing was an issue. You and the team made all our dreams come true and gave us a day that we will never forget. And Adrian- thank you so much for remembering my parents' anniversary and for making them feel so special too. Geraldine could you please pass this message on to your staff - Everyone was commenting on how fantastic all of the staff were and how quick the dinner came out, which is always the most important thing The dinner was fantastic and a lot of our American relatives said it was the best wedding they had ever been to with the best food The staff honestly were just amazing. There were a lot of complimentary comments about how good the young staff were who are probably only part time there in college during the week. Everyone was so polite, attentive and charming all weekend to all of the guests It really was the best day ever and would not have been so without all of your staffs help Special thanks to Lisa and Orla on reception, Inga who waited on all of the Americans at the breakfast, and Jared at the bar They were so many comments about the lovely young lad behind the bar on the night.

We knew the Abbey Hotel was for us. All the guests raved about the top-quality food and service. We had our wedding on the May Bank holiday in the abbey. From our booking with Lisa, everything was a breeze, on the lead-up, everything was so organised and every request was met. We were treated like royalty by all the staff throughout our stay. There were loads of compliments on the food and a lot saying it was the best food they ever had, it came out quick and on time there were no delays and everything was hot. The Abbey Hotel are so professional and know exactly what they are doing in the wedding business. The next morning me and my husband said we would do it all again, we had a blast. There was nothing we would change on our day.

The most amazing venue to get married in. We were amazed by the effort the staff put into making our day so special. Geraldine and her staff went above and beyond to look after both myself and Sheila and all our guests. I just can't recommend the Abbey highly enough. We have become regular guests now with our 1st anniversary being our 6th stay since our wedding. We look forward to our future stays in your amazingly beautiful hotel.

We just had our Wedding in The Abbey on Thursday 23rd November. It was perfect from start to finish. Thanks to all the staff for a great service & amazing food. Lots of people were saying how nice the meal was. We were let stay in the function room for as long as we wanted after the bar closed, where we had a little sing song into the early hours. All staff were very attentive & made sure everyone was happy and enjoyed their meal. Thanks Lisa for all your help with everything & the build up to the day & ordering in my favourite alcoholic drink especially ! The Ceremony room was decorated beautifully & special thanks to Geraldine for getting us our Christmas Tree in the room! It really made it even more special. We had our wedding at the Abbey Hotel and both the wedding day itself and the whole weekend went really well. Both our ceremony and reception were in the hotel. The facilities were great and everything ran more than smoothly. The staff were really helpful, accommodated any requests we had, and looked after both ourselves and guests exceptionally. The food was delicious and much commented on by everyone there. We would definitely recommend the Abbey to anyone planning their special occasion.

Excellent place to hold a wedding. Lisa is fantastic, leaves you with no worries for the day. We hoped to have the ceremony outdoors but the weather wasn't agreeable for that so we held it in the Fortfield Suite, and I'm glad it was in there. It was beautiful! The meal was fantastic too, with plenty of food and second helpings. 100% recommended!

Had a fabulous wedding at Abbey Hotel. We had just come out of level five a few days before the wedding, and the staff were excellent. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was amazing. The room looked fabulous, making an extra effort to make it look great with reduced numbers with covid restrictions. We were glad we went ahead with our covid wedding, and a big thanks to Abbey Hotel who made it extra special for us. Five stars for the hotel for weddings.

We had our wedding reception in the Abbey Hotel on the 7th of December 2019. The level of professionalism and service we received right from our initial show around was exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble! The food was fantastic and cooked to perfection, right down to the temperature of the fillet of beef. All guests we have spoken to have remarked on it. The day from start to finish was absolutely fabulous. The wedding coordinators were brilliant and very responsive with emails and calls. Sarah was wonderful on the day and had everything running like clockwork, no detail was overlooked. We could not have been more thrilled with how our day went and would highly recommend the Abbey Hotel for any future couple looking to book their wedding reception.

Absolutely fabulous venue. Beautiful setting unfortunately due to our Irish weather our outside time was limited but lots of photo opportunities in the hotel. Wedding planners extremely pleasant and helpful as were any of the staff we met! I had numerous dietary requirements from numerous guests and all were met and my expectations were exceeded. Everyone was taken care of. Highly recommend this wedding venue for location, staff and food. All areas were closely monitored by Julie and her team and anything I overlooked was mentioned to be and rectified quickly and discreetly. If I were to do it again Id be back in the morning!

To Geraldine & Tom Grealy and Family and all the staff Thank you so much for giving us the most fantastic day on 6th April 2019. From the moment we had the pleasure of meeting you, you accommodated us in every way. Nothing was too much trouble and our every request was catered for. The attention to detail was second to none, from the drinks reception to table settings and beyond. We had a lot of props that required a lot of set up on the day and Geraldine and her staff listened carefully to what we wanted and set up and displayed everything exactly as we wished. We also have to commend in a special way the Chef, the kitchen personnel and the staff involved in our dinner service. We have received so many compliments from our guests about the food served on the day. The presentation and attention to detail with every dish was amazing. Furthermore the service received from every staff member was impeccable and truly faultless. We cannot recommend the Abbey highly enough. Its staff instils confidence. They are a pleasure to deal with and are so skilled at what they do. Geraldine even emailed us some candid photographs she had taken of us on the day – just like a friend or a family member would do! That personal touch provided by the Abbey is in our opinion why it is so special. We enjoyed every moment of our day and we cannot thank Geraldine and her team enough for making our dream day a reality.
