We got married in Knockranny House Hotel in December 2023. From the moment we viewed the hotel Claire and Anna could not have been more helpful. They made organising a wedding stress-free - any questions we had they had an answer for. The meal was delicious and served at the times promised, allowing our night to run smoothly. We had people with dietary requirements and they were so well catered for, as were the children in the bridal party. All our wedding guests only had positive things to say about their experience in the hotel. I could not recommend Knockranny House Hotel enough, Claire and Anna are amazing people to work with. We look forward to returning to Knockranny House Hotel for our anniversary!

What a day! We got married here in August of 2023 and it was the best day of our lives. From the start, Claire was an absolute pleasure to deal with. Her knowledge, help, and calmness in everything was simply amazing. She is without a doubt, a credit to this hotel and what she does. She was so fast to reply to any question and couldn’t do enough for us in the lead-up to our wedding. I could just go on and on with how amazing she was. The hotel itself is fabulous. From the minute I walked in to view Knockranny, I knew this was where we wanted to get married. The ballroom is stunning, the reception/cocktail lounge is such a lovely bonus to have. Somewhere where our guests could all relax and be together before dinner. The food is exceptional, to this day, people still talk about how good the food was at our wedding. The rooms are so spacious and comfortable and feel luxurious. The staff were & are so attentive, always checking to see did we need anything throughout the day. The day went perfectly and we will always look back on our wedding day with such happiness. This is thanks to all the help we received from numerous people throughout the build-up and on the day but our day would not have been perfect only for Claire! We had our Christmas wedding reception in Knockranny house hotel. It was just amazing from start to finish Anna & Claire were just incredible. They couldn't have done more for us, we were so happy with our wedding menu. The food was 10/10, all our guests were just blown away by how good the food and the service was. Everything about our wedding day was exceptional! Claire and Anna were both amazing to deal with. We planned our wedding from abroad in Australia so most of our contact was done via email. They were so helpful and accommodating at all times. Our guests couldn't get over the quality of the service, the food, and the gorgeous hotel rooms. Put quite simply the Knockranny allowed us to have a wedding more perfect than we could have dreamed. From the moment we first walked in to view the venue, to the meal tasting , preparing the smallest of details in the room and of course the day itself we were made to feel so special and like the staff would do anything to make our day that extra bit special. I have never been to a venue where every single member of staff is so friendly, accomodating and helpful. Everyone during the build up, on the day and the days after seemed so genuinely happy for us and this added to how perfect our wedding was. The general food service, speed and quality was better than we could have hoped. The venue looked so beautiful and everyone was so accomodating considering we had a lot of our own individual requests. When me and Natalie arrived at the Knockranny after our church service and drove up to see the red carpet, all of the staff lined to clap us in and toast our new marriage with a glass of champagne it was truly one of the most special moments of the best day of our lives. It would have not been possible without Claire & Anna. In my speech I said that they had both made us feel like we were the only wedding they had ever planned and this is the best compliment I could pay. No task was too big and no favour was too far. You did everything we asked and more and we will be forever grateful for how special you made our day. You are both absoloute super heroes and I don't know how you both did it but we are both so thankful and stuggle to find the words to explain just how grateful we are. From the bottom of our hearts thank you for everything you did and we can both quite safely reccomend the Knockranny as the most beautiful and magical venues you could hope to get married in.

The moment we got engaged we viewed Knockranny House Hotel and met with Claire, we were very impressed. In the lead-up to the wedding, Claire and Anna were so efficient and prompt by email, that I had no worries! It came to the wedding day and we could not fault anything, it was the best day of our lives, of the staff members who were so efficient and professional, the food was beautiful, all our guests complimented the food and the service was just out of this world, bar service was 10/10. When my husband and I got engaged we knew there was only one place we wanted to have our wedding reception….Knockranny House Hotel. We had attended a number of family weddings there previously and were always so impressed with the venue, its views, location, food and mostly their wonderful staff. We came into the process with high expectations and we were not disappointed. We would like to particularly mention their dedicated wedding coordinator Clare, who went above and beyond for us and is one of the most efficient, accommodating people I have ever met. From our first viewing of the venue to our recent return for our first anniversary, we were looked after to the highest of standards. The planning process was made stress-free and was very well organised which put us at ease. The food was exquisite, our guests were highly impressed with the menu on the day. Every aspect of our wedding day was seamless and allowed us to really enjoy every moment and for that, we are extremely grateful. I couldn’t recommend Knockranny highly enough.

We had the most amazing day in Knockranny for our wedding. Claire the wedding coordinator was not only amazing in the lead-up to the day, making us feel at ease and on hand for any questions, but she was also amazing on the day. She is a true professional, and it really makes a difference to the whole wedding experience. The hotel itself is top-class, I was told by many guests it was the best wedding food they've ever had, which was great to hear! Both I and my husband live in England and had our hearts set on getting married in Mayo due to family connections. From the minute we visited Knockranny House, we knew it would be our wedding venue. We received a warm welcome from Claire and the incredible views over Croagh Patrick were just incredible. Claire was brilliant throughout the whole process - always a quick reply over email to all our questions. It really made our lives a lot easier when planning such a big event overseas! All of our guests commented on the food and service throughout their stay. We cannot fault how our wedding day went - the staff worked seamlessly to ensure all went to plan. They certainly took control of the fine details! We are so happy we chose Knockranny in beautiful Westport for our special day!

I don't know where to start because there isn't one thing I can fault Knockranny on as a wedding venue. Claire is the most incredible wedding coordinator, she is so efficient, so professional and a downright wonderful person. I am a very organised person so I was very anxious about trusting Claire because I wanted everything to go smoothly on our wedding day and I wanted it to be exactly right so nothing could go wrong. Claire did not disappoint! From the first meeting we just knew we wanted to get married at Knockranny, the venue is beautiful, the food is incredible and Claire made it clear from the start that nothing would be a problem - it turned out she was more organised than me and that's saying something! From allowing us to cut our wedding cake with a sword (yes a real-life sword) to personally escorting us to where we needed to be on the day; providing us with food literally served on a silver platter in the cold weather so we could have a break from the photographers - Claire did it all. Our daughter got overwhelmed during the reception before dinner, Claire personally held up the chef (thank you again) from serving dinner until we got her settled with a babysitter and even got us to sit down for a couple of minutes before we entered the dinner hall and gave us a much-needed glass of prosecco! Claire and Anna were always on the other end of the phone when we needed anything answered or emailed within the day with regards to room bookings and changing things we needed done before the wedding day and never once made us feel like anything was too much. They were always so polite, so kind and really genuinely helped with some ideas of their own! The chef made the nicest duck I've ever had in my life and our guests were delightfully shocked when he offered second helpings to everyone on a platter at the end of our wedding meal. We already can't wait to go back for our first wedding anniversary, thank you so much for making our dream come true.

Quite quickly after our engagement the first venue we visited was Knockranny, on a whim, with no appointment and no time scheduled to meet with anyone, regardless of that Claire met us and gave us the full tour there and then. As you would we kept looking around at other venues but we found ourselves always comparing to Knockranny, but nothing could and we knew instantly that Knockranny House was our dream venue. From the moment we stepped inside the doors even up to now weeks after the wedding! Claire was nothing short of brilliant, nothing was ever too much, too big or too small. We were blown away. I could honestly speak all day about Claire. AMAZING! She was always available to us either via email phone or even to pop in. We felt like we could have been the only couple in the hotel! From the food tasting and nights stay, to the wedding day and the days in between. Claire facilitated us a couple of days early to start decorating and ship stuff to the hotel. We cannot recommend Claire and all her staff enough! The food on the day was fantastic, overall the organisation of the whole day was STUNNING. Everything went so smoothly as perfect as could be. Our guests couldn't believe such a stunning place existed, the views the food the rooms, absolutely everything was MAGICAL. AGAIN I could go on all day with how brilliant Claire and all the staff have been for us. We chose Knockranny Hotel for our wedding venue as we love Westport and wanted our guests to experience a weekend of luxury in a beautiful location . We were so pleased with every part of our special day, from the organisation of the ceremony, the beautiful meal and the evening reception. The service was second to none and the food fabulous. We were able to put our own touch on the day which I really appreciated and our guests said it was one of the best weddings they had ever been to. Couldn’t recommend Knockranny more as a wedding venue.

We can't recommend Knockranny House Hotel and Spa enough as a wedding venue. Claire and Anna made the whole process of planning so easy for us and kept this sometimes far too laid back couple on track to make sure it all came together on the day. Nothing we asked was too much for the team at Knockranny and our family and friends are still telling us about the amazing food and service 7 months on! The accommodation was beautiful and our guests were all amazed by the size of the bedrooms. We can't wait to visit again for our first wedding anniversary. Knockranny House Hotel was the perfect choice for our wedding reception. From our initial viewing appointment, right up to our wedding day itself, Claire was an absolute dream to work with. Our emails were always replied to promptly, and the attention to detail given to planning our day was fantastic. On the day, we received so many compliments from our guests about the decor in the hotel, the efficient service, the warm welcome our guests received from all staff members, and the amazing food that was served for our meal. We still have guests talking about the food weeks after our wedding! We also had the perfect backdrop for so many beautiful photographs. From start to finish our Wedding Experience with Knockranny House Hotel was absolutely superb. From our initial planning meeting with the Wedding Co-ordinator (Claire Concannon) everything was just plain sailing. Every detail was tended to. The advice received on every aspect from the menu choices, pre wedding reception options, wine on the table options, wedding toast options- all was spot on ! The venue had figured that in our best interests we should procure our own and they were superb in executing that plan! We had a 2 day event and this was managed to precision by Claire and her experienced team…..leaving us to enjoy the occasion with no fuss! All of our (200) guests were blown away with the quality of the food and efficiency of the service at the Wedding Meal and again at the buffet the following day. The accommodation in the venue is top notch, furnished to a luxurious standard throughout. The setting was absolutely perfect for wedding photos with the hotel itself nestled in the foothills of Croak Patrick overlooking the quaint picturesque town of Westport, Co Mayo. We could not recommend this venue enough if you are planning your Big Day - 5 stars superb !! Gavin & Jane

We were recommended the Knockranny after we chatted with a few venues in Dublin. I (the bride) found the Dublin venues 'cold' and that everything -- and I mean, everything -- came at an additional cost. Wanted napkins? Charge! Wanted wine glasses? Charge! Wanted to have doors on the room? Charge! It drove me silly trying to budget for the event we had pictured with those as the frameworks. Then we were introduced to the team at the Knockranny who are consummate professionals and who have a fair pricing system for an excellent event. I was given a handful of 'this or that' choices within our budget, which worked wonderfully to customize the day without it being a headache. Claire at the Knockranny and later Anna took such great care of us and our guests. I found working with them a pleasure. They were attentive to emails and made sure to keep me updated about important dates for decisions. It was such a carefree experience and I am so grateful to them!

Superb service from start to finish. Claire, our wedding planner was outstanding. The effort Claire and all the staff made on the day of our wedding would be impossible to beat. She is constantly working behind the scenes and since our wedding day, we have reflected many times with our parents on the fantastic service we received on our wedding day from Claire and the service staff. The food was outstanding. This is also something commented on by our wedding guests since our wedding day. It was tasty and cooked to perfection. On arrival on our wedding day, Knockranny staff went above and beyond to have our function room decorated to perfection. The ambiance created from the decor provided by Knockranny was fabulous and ensured we didn’t need to use external vendors to decorate the function room. The bedroom we stayed on in our wedding weekend was so spacious and met our every need while staying at Knockranny. When we packed up to leave Knockranny, Claire met us in person to return anything we had brought to the hotel prior to the wedding E.g wedding cake, alcohol and postbox for cards. Everything we had delivered at the hotel had been returned with a checklist of what exactly was received and what was being returned. I was blown away by the level of detail and care that was taken to ensure all of our goods were returned accurately. When finalising our bill when leaving Knockranny there were no bill discrepancies and we left feeling that we really got value for the service provided. My husband had invited many guests from Cork as this is where he is originally from. Since our wedding, many of the guests from Cork have returned to Knockranny on holiday over the last 15 months. Myself and my husband have also returned to Knockranny to stay on two occasions since our wedding with our most recent being last week when we returned with my parents, sister and brother-in-law. This is a testament to how much we loved Knockranny on our wedding day!!

We highly recommend Knockranny House Hotel as a wedding venue; they are truly exceptional. We got married there in July 2023. We are both living abroad so were initially worried that planning would prove more difficult; like many couples, we spoke with multiple venues but we knew straight away that the team in Knockranny was a class above. Claire and Anna quickly put any worries we had at ease. From the beginning, they were professional and helpful. Their communication was exemplary and we were most impressed by this; any enquiry, no matter how small was promptly dealt with. This was truly invaluable in keeping the stress at bay. On the days around the wedding, the staff were so impressive; always attentive and friendly. The management team all made a point of introducing themselves to us and let us know they were there to help should we need anything. They had set up the function room beautifully and exactly how we had requested. The day ran so smoothly; as we knew it would. We had complete trust in Claire and Anna; we knew in the lead-up that they would have it all covered on the day. They also coordinated with all our vendors - another worry off the list!! We could not find a single fault in the running of the day itself. As bride and groom, we can't emphasize enough how important it is to have confidence in the team who run your wedding day. The food, decor, drink, service... EVERYTHING was perfect on the day. Our guests only had good things to say....several said it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding!! Several others literally pointed out Claire to us and I think my bridesmaid summed it up when she said "She's like Wonder Woman flying around". My husband and I visited the hotel in August 2022 and met with Anna, one of the wedding coordinators. We knew immediately that was our venue. Anna was amazing, she explained every aspect i.e menu options, civil ceremony, the day itself, music and had all the necessary contacts. We were shown around and saw the room where the function would be and where the civil ceremony would be and we viewed the accommodation. When it was booked, Anna and her colleague Claire basically guided us and prompted us through the entire process. They both organised everything perfectly. On the day itself, both Anna and Claire were on site. The room decor was fantastic. The food and service was fantastic. All our guests raved about the venue and Westport itself. It was an unforgettable day which we will treasure. Claire was so thoughtful, she put the bouquets in the hotel cold room to preserve them when ceremony was over knowing I wanted to put them on family graves.
