Their hospitality, kindness, and professionalism made us feel supported from the moment we and our 200+ international guests arrived in Westport. From the moment we visited The Castlecourt Hotel, we knew it was where we wanted to get married. Vinny and the team are the most friendly, welcoming and helpful people you can meet. From wedding planning, to food tasting, to the wedding itself, everything was so special. They took the stress out of the wedding planning process and we were able to just enjoy the whole thing. We have stayed in the Castlecourt hotel many times and it is always flawless. We were delighted that our family and friends loved it as much as we do. Our day was just perfect! Vinny, Ann and all the team made our wedding day feel like a fairytale... it was perfect from start to finish. Nothing was too big or small for them before, during or after the day. We felt at complete ease and didn't have to worry about anything. The dinner service was the best service I have ever seen at a wedding, the food was delicious and the servers were just magnificent. You could see the pride in their faces as they completed a synchronised dinner service. The tiny details on the day and the day after certainly did not go unnoticed at all! From the first meeting to the very last, we felt in safe hands. Everything we wanted and more. The Castlecourt is not just a venue, it's an experience. They don't try to get it right, they always get it right. Vinnie is the manager, a guide, a friend, a straight talker who knows what he is talking about. The attention to detail is second to none. They made it epic.

We had been engaged for over 4 years and welcomed 2 children in that time. We decided on a whim that we wanted to book our wedding for the same year but were not sure if we had left ourselves enough time to really get the very best in terms of experience, venue and to ensure we and our guests had a really wonderful day. We considered some other options but truly none really came close to how we were made to feel by Vinny and the Castlecourt Team. We laid our all our concerns early on- could it be planned, would we manage etc. Vinny provided us with a solid plan, options in terms of vendors and how to kick our plans off. The team provided exactly the right amount of communication with us- not too in our face looking for information but checking in every so often and making suggestions to make our lives easier. The night of our menu tasting, Liz was so accommodating, she sat with us and really listened to our thoughts on food/wine etc. She even sent us home with some wine options to taste at home, as I couldn't decide on the white. Rhona, Jamie ,Aoife, Kathryn were amazing to liaise with on table plans and room allocations (of which we had a lot of changes.) As we approached the wedding date, nothing and I mean nothing was too much hassle. Every single thing we asked for was granted. Vinny called to get our bags brought over the night before so we didn't have to worry about carting luggage (especially for our children) on the day. They provided a dedicated area of the ballroom for a kids play area (which the kids took FULL advantage of.) Everything on the day was seamless. My only complaint was that it all went too fast! The food was fabulous, the wait staff on the night were fantastic. We are going back for a little mini moon for Valentines and are so excited to enjoy the hotel again, just us. We had viewed many hotels over the course of 2 years in the wedding viewing process, but from the moment we stepped foot inside the hotel door of the CastleCourt Hotel back in 2023 for the wedding open day, we were met by some of the most caring people in the wedding business. We had the pleasure of meeting Vincent, Rhona, Jamie and the rest of the wedding co-ordinator staff. In that moment, we knew this is where we wanted to have the most special day of our lives. We had our wedding day on August 2nd, 2025, bearing in mind this was a bank holiday weekend, this didn’t alter anything regarding service the hotel provided. They went above and beyond, to the room bookings, altering of meal options, reduced numbers on the day and music changes, they did their utmost for us. We could not praise this hotel highly enough, the guests and ourselves spoke about this for weeks after. The dinner is their main focus and this did not disappoint, even came with 2nd and 3rd rounds. We have always loved Westport and found it to be the most charming town. As a couple, we have regularly visited for mini breaks and either stayed at the Castlecourt or Plaza hotel. We both have family links with Mayo too, so we had always planned on getting married in the west of Ireland. We chose the Castlecourt as our wedding venue due to its central location to the town and St. Mary’s church, where we planned to have the official ceremony. From the moment we booked the Castlecourt, the staff team there went above and beyond to support & offer advise throughout the planning journey, right up to the big day. The whole experience was effortless and stress-free for us which made the day & the whole experience all the more memorable. We stayed at the hotel for a few days prior and post wedding. Anything we needed, the hotel team were more than willing to help in any way that they could. All the extra finishing touches that they provided were wonderful and it was easy to tell that they are well experienced in the business of weddings and all elements and issues that could arise. We had the most wonderful wedding day and what made it so much more special was that all of our guests had an amazing few days. Many that had never stayed in Westport, have since returned to stay at the Castlecourt as they were so blown away by their original experience. When we reflect on our wedding day, there is nothing we would have changed and we will always be happy that we chose the Castlecourt as our venue. From the very first time we contacted the Castlecourt about our wedding, Vinny and the team put us at ease. The Dome itself is a stunning ballroom. It was the perfect day in every way from start to finish, so relaxed and laid back, with suited us perfectly! What can we say about the Castlecourt Hotel as a wedding venue? Absolutely outstanding! You will not be disappointed. The Service, the food, the wedding coordinator... everyone working there just goes above and beyond for your wedding day. Our wedding guests were raving about the food! The cocktails at the reception were amazing. For the reception drinks, there is a choice between indoor and outdoor options. The ballroom itself is class. It ticks all the boxes to have your wedding there, the package deals are amazing, and great value for your money. Vinnie, Jamie and Sharon are amazing at what they do. Even on the morning of the wedding, we had to make last-minute changes to the table plan...nothing is an issue. I'd highly recommend

We had our wedding reception at The Castlecourt Hotel in Westport. From the first day we went to view the venue until our wedding day we can give nothing but praise to the coordinators, owners and venue. We met Rhona the first day and told her what our aim was for our wedding day and booked the venue there and then. They were so accommodating and had lots of helpful suggestions for us for the theme of our wedding. We worked with Rhona on our menu tasting and it was a wonderful experience and made us excited to finalise the menu for our wedding day. We met and worked with Liz to plan how our wedding day would run. As dancing was the theme of our wedding we had three social bands play and wanted to ensure dancing would start early in the evening. We were able to plan when our evening break was going to be and I was able to request how I wanted our cake set up. On our wedding day, we were met by Vinnie and Jamie. They whisked us away to set up our wedding cake. The dinner went off so smoothly. Everyone got fed quickly and the feedback from our guests on the food was fantastic. The arrival reception had food, tea/coffee, and mocktails. There was a wonderful selection of sandwiches, chips and chicken goujons as well as our wedding cake with tea and coffee. I think the highlight of the evening for a lot of people was the bacon sandwiches at 2:30 am after all the music ended and before the sessions started. Everyone was impressed with the food and nobody went hungry. We would highly recommend The Castlecourt for any events. All the staff and service were outstanding, if we could do it all again we would. Best day of our lives.

First off, we'd like to extend our thanks to Vinny, Liz, Jamie and all the team at the Castlecourt Hotel. Since the beginning of the wedding preparations, the team have been there to support us in any way possible. On the morning of the wedding, they gave us access to a function room as we had a large party of 12 to get ready for the day ahead. Before we could ask for anything, they had it presented to us. It really made us feel extremely relaxed as they were able to anticipate our needs before we did. All of the wedding party couldn't help but be in awe of the work and the professionalism that the team had. On the day, we had many guests coming up to us expressing their delight and enjoyment they were having at the wedding, insofar as they were planning to book the hotel for their wedding. We had a ceremony, drinks reception and dinner in the venue, and the set up and quick turnaround were impeccable. The team could not do enough for us. Everyone was mesmerised by the setup of the civil ceremony and the ease with which the team were able to direct everyone. It was extremely warming to see the owners, Joe and Ann, among the staff and helping during the dinner. The food was magnificent, and the service was 10 out of 10. Each course was served promptly, even with the addition of entertainment throughout dinner. The team at the Castlecourt are the best that we could have asked for, and we would recommend them to anyone looking to book a venue for their upcoming nuptials. What superlatives can I use about the Castlecourt Hotel that would do it justice? Our experience with them was first class from start to finish. The team are amazing, nothing is too much trouble. They respond to your queries very promptly and find a solution quickly. The team are long-standing professionals who know the wedding business inside out, and we found their advice invaluable. A special mention for Rhona, who was our main coordinator and gave us great tips for vendors in the area when we were booking. The food at the meal was superb. We had the lamb shank and the cod, and our guests, who have many weddings under their belts, felt it was the best meal they ever had at a wedding. In fact, we are still getting texts about the quality of the food. We also had a pre-wedding dinner and spent our day two event there. Those meals were also outstanding. The venue itself is very nice 4-star plus, with lots of areas to take lovely pictures. Both the rooms we used were beautifully decorated with large candelabras and flower arrangements, and were part of the package. The Castlecourt is probably the best venue in the Castlebar or Westport area, and dare I suggest in the whole of Mayo. It certainly was the best value for money. I would highly recommend any potential bride and groom to check them out before booking anywhere else. Amazing!

The Castlecourt Hotel made our wedding day perfect, stress-free, and memorable for us and all our guests. The wedding organiser, Vennie, thought of everything, arranged lots of things we wouldn't have thought of that added to our special day. The hotel has hosted wedding couples for over 50 years, and now the ceremony can also take place on-site. We had over 250 guests at our ceremony and there was ample space for everyone. From the first meeting to the days around our wedding the team were professional and made us feel that we were all that mattered over the wedding weekend.

It was an absolute pleasure working with Vinny and his team. It didn't matter what our request was, Vinny was open to all suggestions and gave great advice from the first day we met him. Overall, the experience was fantastic, Vinny took all the stress away, and we got to really enjoy the lead-up to the day.
