There are just not enough words to describe how truly perfect our wedding was at the beautiful Lake Vyrnwy Hotel. We always knew that if we got married, the hotel would be our first choice, and my first email to enquire about whether any dates were available was met with a lovely, friendly reply from Laura, the wedding planner. She was amazing!!! We spoke on the phone and worked out a date, and from that day on, Laura kept in touch to help us plan our day. Everything was perfect! We arrived and were shown to our stunning room with a four-poster bed, with champagne and chocolates. It was stunning! Laura then met us, she was so lovely and any nerves were instantly gone, we just knew everything would go smoothly. We had decided to elope and have a very intimate wedding, and we said our vows in the beautiful bay window of the drawing room! Laura helped make everything perfect and arranged for some champagne for us after the ceremony. We then had some photos taken in and around the hotel with our lovely photographer, and the guests were all so lovely, congratulating us on getting married. The staff couldn't do enough for us, and we had a lovely meal in the restaurant that evening. Lake Vyrnwy is truly perfect, it was everything we wanted and more! I cannot recommend this hotel enough, Laura will help plan your special day every step of the way and the staff are so friendly and helpful, you will want for nothing. The location is stunning, the hotel itself is beyond stunning, and the rooms are out of this world. And we now have the perfect excuse to come back every year for our anniversary! Thank you to Laura and everyone at the hotel, from the cleaners to the reception staff, waiters, barmen, etc, for making our stay and beautiful wedding absolutely perfect!!

We had a micro wedding at Lake Vyrnwy, with only us and our witnesses. From our first enquiry to the checkout, we were made to feel very special. The drawing room gave the perfect backdrop with stunning views of the lake and mountains. Every member of staff, from check in, the waiters, Laura in the spa and of course Laura who helped us organise our day, made us feel very special with their genuine smiles and good wishes. I can't recommend Lake Vyrnwy highly enough for a micro wedding.

We had the wedding of our dreams at Lake Vyrnwy Hotel! The most beautiful location. Five-star food. Impeccable service. Above all, we had an entire 12 months of support and care from Laura, the head of events. She was always there to guide us through the entire process, and it was because of her that the wedding went off without a single glitch—it truly was the most wonderful day of our lives. We still can’t believe how lucky we were to have the wedding we did. We can’t thank Laura and her team enough for everything they did, and we will be going back every year on our anniversary! I just really wanted to say thank you - to Laura, and to all of your wonderful colleagues (especially Ian and Alex!) who made our day so special. My now-husband and I got married at Lake Vrynwy very recently. I cannot give enough praise and thank you to the venue, specifically Laura, our wedding coordinator. She has been there from the beginning, offering all the help and advice she can, up to the very day itself. We have loved having catch-up chats to see how things have been going in the lead-up to the big day and what we have been planning. The venue itself speaks for itself. It has a breathtaking view in a lovely location, and to get married against that ticked all the boxes. All of our guests loved it and were blown away by the location we chose to get married at. The staff are just as amazing, very helpful, welcoming and couldn't do any more for us. They were always on hand to help us and our guests, and the food was easily some of the best food we've had, not just for a wedding breakfast but in a restaurant in general. High quality and tasted amazing. To all the staff, and particularly Laura Jenks, a massive and heartfelt thank you for everything you did. Everyone at Lake Vrynwy made it even more unforgettable, and seeing our plans and Laura's hard work come together made it even more memorable. It will be a day we will never want to forget, and we will definitely be back to visit again soon, as will many of our guests. Can we do it again?

Lake Vyrnwy Hotel and Spa was the perfect place for our wedding! Myself and my husband Jon were looked after amazingly by Laura, the events coordinater, both on the run up to the wedding and during it. She made sure we were comfortable with everything that was involved in the planning, provided us with tips and suggestions from suppliers, and also made sure that everything ran smoothly on the day to take the stress off us both. The rest of the staff at the hotel were also wonderful. The reception and hotel staff helped to take care of our guests and directed suppliers, while the restaurant staff did everything they could to cater to our guests' needs, and the meal they prepared for our wedding breakfast was fantastic. The venue's location added so much more to the wedding day that we could not have asked for anything better. The lake view from the function rooms was stunning and provided a great backdrop to our marriage. It also meant that when it came to photos, we had plenty of options to show off ourselves and our guests in lovely surroundings. The ability to have fireworks towards the end of the evening party gave us even more opportunity to have beautiful wedding photos and entertain our guests while giving Jon and myself an additional element to remember from our wedding. In addition to the wonderful staff, Laura (who was excellent), the food and the view, the hotel was also the best choice for us as it had free on-site kennels or the option of dog-friendly rooms. This meant that my and Jon's dog could be part of our day but had plenty of options available to her when she started getting tired. Additionally, the option for Jon to pamper himself the day before in the hotel spa was also a great addition that made Vyrnwy the perfect venue for us. Overall, we are both thrilled with how our day went and would strongly recommend this venue to anybody. The staff, the help offered, plus the tasty food made our day perfect!

Wow, what can I say? It was the most perfect day for us. The view, the venue, the staff—just everything was spot on. The friendly staff treated us like we were family, were super kind, helped family members with dementia, etc. I couldn't fault a single thing. Wish we could do it all over again. The day ran so smoothly and thats all thanks to Laura, and shel be truly missed...what a beautiful venue, we cannot wait to come again to visit in a year for our anniversary. Thank you all so much. Our wedding at Lake Vyrnwy was everything we could have dreamed of. The day was incredible, mid Wales even delivered sunshine and the venue is just amazing. All the guests loved it and completely understood why we had chosen this venue, the view was stunning and golden hour delivered the best photos. Lake Vyrnwy staff made the day run smoothly and left us to enjoy the day without worrying about anything. Laura was there all the way from the initial viewing to making sure the right music was playing when walking down the aisle.

We had our amazing day at Lake Vyrnwy Hotel and Spa on the 22nd of April. We had a very small wedding of 15 people, and everything was perfect! We booked superior lake-view rooms for all our guests the night before and the night of our wedding, and it made our day even more special. Laura and her team paid attention to all the small details that were important to us, and we felt like the King and Queen for our whole stay. The food was amazing and the scenery spectacular, we loved every minute of our time there, the hardest thing was checking out the next day!

We feel like the luckiest people in the world because we had the most perfect wedding day at Lake Vyrnwy Hotel and Spa. From the day we enquired about the wedding right up until we checked out from the hotel as a married couple, we had the best experience. Laura looked after us the whole way, answered every question, accommodated every need, and was just lovely in general. She helped us plan our perfect day and helped up tailor it 100% to us, and we honestly had the most perfect day. The staff were also amazing, from the food service to the bar service and at any point of the day, the staff attended to every need we had and were so friendly and kind. This was not only on our wedding day itself but also the breakfast the next day too. The food was incredible and we have had so many of our guests come to us and say that it was the best wedding food they have ever had, and again the service was impeccable for everything from the wedding breakfast through to the breakfast the following day. I couldn't recommend getting married at Lake Vyrnwy Hotel and Spa enough for anyone looking for a wedding venue. There is not one bad thing we have to say about our experience, it was absolutely perfect from start to finish. The price is more than reasonable for what you get in the wedding package, the staff and service is faultless and the support you get from Laura is second to none. Laura also gave us amazing recommendations like the pianist and fireworks that just made our day even more perfect. We could not be more grateful for our perfect day, and like I said, we are the luckiest newly-weds in the world. From the moment we came across Lake Vyrnwy Hotel and Spa online, we knew that it would be the perfect venue for our wedding. We needed a site that had enough accommodation for family and friends visiting not only from the UK but across the globe - not just in terms of the hotels >40 years, but also in terms of a venue that had enough wow factor that would make people want to travel. Lake Vyrnwy didn't disappoint! Our guests were amazed by the beauty of the venue and many are booking return vacations. In terms of planning the wedding itself, the venue's wedding planner, Laura is the best in the business. She combines knowledge and enthusiasm with an organisational ability second to none, and does all this without compromising on that personal touch. During the course of the 6 months planning our wedding, Laura got to know US as people - our likes, dislikes, worries, and this led to the most amazing day. Laura was there on the day itself, organising and coordinating. As a venue, Lake Vyrnwy went above and beyond. They even helped with special touches such as making a bespoke soup to fit in with a family cultural tradition. The food on the day was incredible, portions huge, and many commented it was the best food they had ever eaten full stop...not just at a wedding! The evening entertainment was complimented by fireworks over the lake as suggested by Laura and the recommended vendor provided was excellent to work with. Overall our wedding day was incredible. The venue is organised, reliable, a fair price, and they are of a high standard. If you are reading this wondering about Lake Vyrnwy as a venue you won't be disappointed and neither will your guests. The surrounding area is also beautiful and can compliment your wedding day with a trip to the Lake Vyrnwy hand, with it's nearby picnic area - we went here en masse the day after our wedding. Our wedding at Lake Vyrnwy was truly an amazing and magical day, the location itself is breathtaking and our guests were all blown away by its beauty. Elaine and I chose to get married at the Lake Vyrnwy Hotel this September, the hotel is our favourite place to visit and we have been going there for over 15 years. It is a fantastic hotel in a really beautiful location, a real hidden gem. We were so happy we chose to get married and have our reception there. Elaine got in touch with Laura who was from the outset friendly and supportive. Nothing was too much trouble with lots of contact on the run up to the day. Throughout the whole process we knew that Laura was genuinely interested in making sure we and our guests had the very best day possible. Laura also provided guidance on local suppliers who she knew well and had worked with before to make sure on the day everything went to plan, the hair and make up, the cake, the room dressing and of course the fireworks! The layout of the room was switched seamlessly through the day for the ceremony, the wedding breakfast and then for the band and DJ. The ceremony & function room were decorated beautifully and everyone commented on how great the whole day went. The food throughout the day was great, from the canapés to the Wedding Breakfast and then the hot snacks in the evening. The whole day ran without a hitch due to the dedication of the experienced staff so a huge thank you to everyone at the hotel that made our day so very special! The panoramic views from the main room were stunning through the day. The lake, the Dam and Hotel grounds were perfect for photos. From the moment we first visited, to the days after the wedding, the staff at Lake Vyrnwy have been nothing but helpful, friendly, and welcoming to us and all of our guests. Service was exceptional, going out of their way to ensure our experience was nothing but perfect. Laura and Chris were outstanding, filling us with confidence that nothing was too much hassle, while the waiting staff were on point and the chefs provided flawless meals time and time again. The cleaning staff was friendly and professional, with the rooms boasting all the convenience of modern facilities while retaining a unique classic look with all the quirks that come with that. The real highlight of the venue is its location, overlooking Llyn Efyrnwy, providing breath-taking views no matter the weather. Whether it's under a blanket of snow, enjoying a hot chocolate by a roaring fire, or kicking back on the balcony sipping an ice-cold beer in the sun; it'll be hard to find a location that's more spectacular for a late afternoon lunch or a full-blown wedding ceremony. Communication was flawless, with the wedding coordinators and front of house staff on the ball and never more than an email or phone call away. We felt we were in the safest of hands and that they'd allow nothing to ruin the day. Cost of hiring the venue was also very reasonable considering the quality of food, venue, and scenery. There is also plenty to see and do around the area. Whether you fancy taking the wedding party for a trip out on the lake in canoes, clay pigeon shooting, fishing, an adventurous hike through the woodlands; or just relax in the spa or in the bar with a drink, there's something for everyone. I cannot recommend this venue enough and we have already decided to return here again for a visit once the confetti has settled from our wedding.
