My husband and I cannot say enough good things about our wedding experience at Fota Island Resort earlier this year. From the day we booked, we felt like the only clients they were dealing with, which is a testament to how personally they approach their relationship with each couple during such a special and emotional time. The communication and efforts from Roberta and Nessa meant the world to us and made planning and finessing of each tiny detail such a breeze. Even the evening of our menu tasting, they both made such an effort to make the entire evening feel like such a special occasion, as did all of the staff who served us that night. Our wedding weekend was three days of nothing short of perfection. We stayed the night before, and from the second we arrived at the hotel, it felt like every member of staff knew us personally and was as excited as we were for the wedding. Nessa greeted us with a huge hug as we arrived, and Roberta barely left my side from the morning to the evening of our wedding, acting with ease to every last-minute change that came with a big wedding and all its moving parts. Our banquet manager, Donna, was so kind and ran the service with military precision, and every member of staff worked flawlessly all day long, from the bar staff to the servers. The food was exceptional and is still a talking point among so many of our friends and family, months later. We spent our entire wedding weekend at Fota, with our day two taking place in the golf club, and the 5-star experience continued on every level. Food, service, drinks and the care taken for not only us but all of our guests was perfection. Some other staff who stood out to us were Conor, our top table waiter and Pierce, the amazing concierge. They made us all feel like there wasn’t anything they couldn’t do to make our experience exactly how we dreamed it would be, just like Nessa and Roberta did from the start. I could talk about Fota forever. They are the best of the best.

We had a fantastic Wedding at Fota Island Resort in August of this year. From the initial viewing at the Wedding Fair Day, up to and including our wedding day, the team at Fota couldn't have been more helpful with all of our needs and requests. Fortunately, we had great weather for our day, and that allowed us to enjoy the beautiful private function garden. The food provided throughout the day, at the reception, the sit-down dinner and nighttime finger food all received high praise from our wedding guests. Our correspondence was always quick and easy, and anytime we met you, we always left feeling at ease. We celebrated our wedding at Fota Island in June 2025, and we were absolutely delighted with the service provided by Fota and their team. Nessa went above and beyond on our day and made sure every detail we had carefully planned was executed. We must also give Donna a special mention, who helped us with our menu for the day and ensured we got to try as many options as we desired before deciding on our final menu for the big day.

From the moment we walked into Fota Island Resort, we knew this was the place for us to celebrate our marriage. Right from the outset, nothing was too big an ask; everybody was extremely accommodating and made us feel so at ease about every decision that was made. The wedding team and entire staff made us feel welcome at every point up to the big day. There was always someone on hand to answer any questions we had, and everybody that we dealt with in the Weddings team was a joy to deal with. Little details that we wanted to change to make our day special to us were no issue, requests that had not been seen before were no issue, and our overall experience was extremely positive. On our Wedding Day in August, every guest noted the excellent service, quality and the atmosphere created in Fota. From start to finish, the food was amazing, our guests all loved every bite, particularly the arancini balls and pork belly. Special thank you to all of the Wedding and Management team, especially Roberta, Natalie and John in Concierge. We could not have asked for a better venue to celebrate with all our loved ones!

From the tiny little details to the big important parts of the day, Fota delivered above and beyond our expectations. The facilities are fantastic, the food is top-notch, and the venue is stunning but for us, it was the staff in Fota who made our wedding weekend so special. We were due to arrive the day before the wedding and a few hours before we were due to arrive, we received a text from John, the concierge, letting us know that my mum and aunt had arrived and were having tea with my 98-year-old granny and to give him a call or text if there was anything at all we needed. John continued to answer every question/request we had throughout the whole weekend and looked after not only us but our families and all of our guests - so many people have told us how wonderful he was! In the lead-up to the wedding and on the day, Danielle was exceptional. She checked in regularly and made sure we had everything we needed, keeping us on track throughout the day. A special mention to Danielle - after a very long receiving line she sent a member of staff up to the bridal suite to retrieve my comfier sandals and then got down on the floor to help me fasten them - Danielle went above and beyond and was so kind to us. And finally, Mark was on hand to help out and was quietly making sure that everything was running smoothly and ensuring we had everything we needed. We can't imagine anywhere could top the amazing service we received from Fota and would highly recommend it as a wedding venue. A massive thank you to all at Fota Resort, as there are many others that we haven't mentioned who contributed to an incredible time we'll never forget.

After a memorable proposal, we just knew it had it be Fota Island Resort for the wedding reception. Valentines night was our first night staying there, but the next morning we met some of the team and checked out the function room. We knew from the beginning they’d do a great job. Ciara Greene was our wedding coordinator and she gave us the best advice and support. We really enjoyed dealing with Ciara, nothing was too much trouble. The hotel reception was everything we hoped for and so much more. Ciara and all the team did a super job. The food was outstanding and everyone seemed to really enjoy the day.

Ciara and the wedding team at Fota were excellent and lead to us having a very stress free wedding day. Nothing was ever an issue and they came back to our emails and queries promptly. The food and staff on the day were exceptional and a lot of our guests commented on how much they enjoyed the food and day. Nothing seemed a chore and Patricia always went above and beyond to help, not only on the day but the months leading up to the big day. The venue as a whole was beautiful. A lot of our guests travelled from the UK or other parts of Ireland and we were all welcomed and looked after throughout our entire stay. From the reception staff to the concierge to the bar staff we could not praise them enough. We received wonderful feedback from family and friends about the the food and service. Could we have chose a better venue for our wedding- absolutely not! We cannot wait to return. Thanks to everyone involved. You made our special day all the more special.

I could not fault Fota in any way throughout the whole planning process, any query was responded to quickly and no query was ever silly or too small. Katie was so flexible and accommodated all of our requests. We were thrilled to have our wedding in Fota and the day was seamless thanks to Katie and the team's attention to detail.

We had an amazing wedding at Fota Island, we would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking to get married in Ireland. All the staff were amazing in helping us prepare for our day and on the day they were exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble and every need was catered for. All of our guests commented on how delicious the food was and that the service was flawless. We also had our post wedding party BBQ at the Club house in Fota, the setting here is beautiful and once again the food was amazing. Unfortunately our planned entertainment let us down on the day, upon telling the manager of the Club house this, alternative entertainment was arranged by Fota and the musician arrived within 30 minutes. Exceptional service. Couldn't recommend this venue highly enough. We had the best weekend. Thank you.

On the day of the wedding everything went really well, we were delighted with it. The food was fantastic and the service was brilliant, we had loads of compliments on both. I think one big difference between Fota and other places we've been at weddings is the amount and quality of the waiting staff, they were excellent. The residents bar stayed going well in to the morning too which was great! The BBQ was great too and we were well looked after, one small comment is that the wedding cake never made it down to the Golf club, by the time we realised it wasn't there people had already left the food area so we left it off. Anyway we were pretty stuffed after the BBQ so no big deal. Thanks for all your help especially Patricia who was great. I'm sure we might cross paths at some stage, no doubt someone at our wedding will have decided Fota is the place for their wedding so I'm sure we'll be back before too long.

We had the most amazing wedding and are still smiling at the thoughts of it. We got engaged in October 2016 and booked Fota in January 2017. We were between two venues in Cork and brought our parents down to view them both. The other venue was fab and the wedding coordinator was a true sales woman! We then went on to you - you were not focused on the sale, but on our wedding. Our day, our weekend - you focused on what we wanted. Our parents tried to be impartial - however when my Dad took out his camera in Fota and started to take pictures we knew there was no comparison! The attention to detail was second to none and my Dad is still raving about how the biscuits were laid out at the drinks reception!! Something minute to us but he was well impressed! We are so so glad with our decision - nothing was ever too much of an ask and you had a solution for everything. Our guests had an absolute ball and we are still smiling thinking back to it. The BBQ on day 2 was fab at the golf club - the food and the views. It really topped off an amazing weekend and was great to catch up with all our guests. A lot of our guests travelled from Dublin/Wicklow/Kildare so made a weekend out of it. The lodges were super for this - Sarah Jane and the rest of the accommodation team were so helpful. The concierge also kindly dropped guests home from the resident's bar to their lodge so they didn't have to even make the short walk!! When I heard you were due a baby in the middle of my wedding plans I must admit there was a bridezilla moment! But Katie made sure everything was seamless and nothing amiss in your absence or on your return! The 5 star friendly service is exactly what you get with Fota - we would highly recommend it to others and are excited to come back already. Thanks again for everything - we really had a ball and no doubt wrecked your head at times!
