Our wedding coordinator, in particular, Roberta, was a great support to us throughout. She made us feel completely at ease throughout all the planning stage, and answered any question or query we had promptly. We knew we were in good hands! Our wedding day was everything we imagined and more, from the set up, to the timings and organisation to the food, everything was perfect. If I could give Fota more stars, I would. I’ll never be able to fully word my gratitude and appreciation for the team at Fota and the venue itself. Fota was the first and only venue we went to visit and knew instantly this was the venue for us. From capacity, food, service, luxury accommodation and the amazing staff. Fota gives 5 start luxury a whole new meaning. The staff have to be the top though. Roberta, our wedding planner, is an expert in her field. She made the day so perfect, was such a delight to work with from years out up to the actual day, she thought of the thing I didn’t even think of and just made sure everything ran smoothly in the most calm and fun manner. Lillian was the most amazing manager on the day and just made the wedding itself so FUN! Our guests still speak so highly of the staff, their friendliness and professionalism truly is uncanny.

Nessa and her team at Fota Island Resort made planning our wedding exceptionally enjoyable and easy. They could not have been more accommodating, including offering an additional tasting when needed and accommodating food allergies and requests. Everyone we came in contact with was obliging, friendly and excellent at their job. On the wedding day, they anticipated and fulfilled requests that we didn’t even know we had. The venue is stunning, and the staff were attentive all day. Our guests commented on the delicious food and wonderful service. We had our couple portraits taken in the pagoda, and the huge balcony of the bridal suite was perfect for our first look. I cannot recommend Fota enough. From the moment we viewed the venue, it was a five-star experience.

We celebrated our wedding on September 27th, and we received a 5-star service from the very start. There was no ask too big for Nessa and the wedding team, who coordinated everything from the vendors to the timings of the day seamlessly while being so responsive and helpful while we were planning our big day, which made the whole experience easy, fun and enjoyable, and we cannot thank them enough. They were always available to help with the little details and accommodated all of our requests in the run-up to the wedding day. From start to finish, all of the staff involved in the day were friendly, attentive and exceptionally professional. They helped us feel relaxed and truly able to enjoy everything on our wedding day, which is exactly what we wanted. The grounds are absolutely stunning and were the perfect backdrop for photographs. Our wedding areas included the meeting room where the kids were entertained, drinks reception and bar, ballroom and private outdoor area, which were all spacious and luxurious, and we got great weather, luckily, so all these areas were enjoyed by us and our guests. Our guests are still talking about how perfect the venue was for a wedding. The food was outstanding with generous portions and exceptional quality throughout. The service team were very friendly and consistently attentive, making sure everyone was looked after. We received great feedback from our guests on all the food and service across the day, from the drinks reception to the late bar. The accommodation rooms were luxurious and comfortable, and the spa and leisure facilities made the entire weekend feel like a getaway for us and our guests. Many have rebooked to stay again because they enjoyed it so much! The bridal suite was incredible and was just perfect to get ready on the morning of the wedding! We would highly recommend Fota Resort for your wedding, knowing Nessa and the wedding team will make your day so easy – you will not be left disappointed. My husband and I cannot say enough good things about our wedding experience at Fota Island Resort earlier this year. From the day we booked, we felt like the only clients they were dealing with, which is a testament to how personally they approach their relationship with each couple during such a special and emotional time. The communication and efforts from Roberta and Nessa meant the world to us and made planning and finessing of each tiny detail such a breeze. Even the evening of our menu tasting, they both made such an effort to make the entire evening feel like such a special occasion, as did all of the staff who served us that night. Our wedding weekend was three days of nothing short of perfection. We stayed the night before, and from the second we arrived at the hotel, it felt like every member of staff knew us personally and was as excited as we were for the wedding. Nessa greeted us with a huge hug as we arrived, and Roberta barely left my side from the morning to the evening of our wedding, acting with ease to every last-minute change that came with a big wedding and all its moving parts. Our banquet manager, Donna, was so kind and ran the service with military precision, and every member of staff worked flawlessly all day long, from the bar staff to the servers. The food was exceptional and is still a talking point among so many of our friends and family, months later. We spent our entire wedding weekend at Fota, with our day two taking place in the golf club, and the 5-star experience continued on every level. Food, service, drinks and the care taken for not only us but all of our guests was perfection. Some other staff who stood out to us were Conor, our top table waiter and Pierce, the amazing concierge. They made us all feel like there wasn’t anything they couldn’t do to make our experience exactly how we dreamed it would be, just like Nessa and Roberta did from the start. I could talk about Fota forever. They are the best of the best.

We had a fantastic Wedding at Fota Island Resort in August of this year. From the initial viewing at the Wedding Fair Day, up to and including our wedding day, the team at Fota couldn't have been more helpful with all of our needs and requests. Fortunately, we had great weather for our day, and that allowed us to enjoy the beautiful private function garden. The food provided throughout the day, at the reception, the sit-down dinner and nighttime finger food all received high praise from our wedding guests. From the moment we walked into Fota Island Resort, we knew this was the place for us to celebrate our marriage. There was always someone on hand to answer any questions we had, and everybody that we dealt with in the Weddings team was a joy to deal with. Little details that we wanted to change to make our day special to us were no issue, requests that had not been seen before were no issue, and our overall experience was extremely positive. On our Wedding Day in August, every guest noted the excellent service, quality and the atmosphere created in Fota. From start to finish, the food was amazing, our guests all loved every bite, particularly the arancini balls and pork belly. Special thank you to all of the Wedding and Management team, especially Roberta, Natalie and John in Concierge. We could not have asked for a better venue to celebrate with all our loved ones!

From the tiny little details to the big important parts of the day, Fota delivered above and beyond our expectations. The facilities are fantastic, the food is top-notch, and the venue is stunning but for us, it was the staff in Fota who made our wedding weekend so special. We were due to arrive the day before the wedding and a few hours before we were due to arrive, we received a text from John, the concierge, letting us know that my mum and aunt had arrived and were having tea with my 98-year-old granny and to give him a call or text if there was anything at all we needed. John continued to answer every question/request we had throughout the whole weekend and looked after not only us but our families and all of our guests - so many people have told us how wonderful he was! In the lead-up to the wedding and on the day, Danielle was exceptional. She checked in regularly and made sure we had everything we needed, keeping us on track throughout the day. A special mention to Danielle - after a very long receiving line she sent a member of staff up to the bridal suite to retrieve my comfier sandals and then got down on the floor to help me fasten them - Danielle went above and beyond and was so kind to us. And finally, Mark was on hand to help out and was quietly making sure that everything was running smoothly and ensuring we had everything we needed. We can't imagine anywhere could top the amazing service we received from Fota and would highly recommend it as a wedding venue. A massive thank you to all at Fota Resort, as there are many others that we haven't mentioned who contributed to an incredible time we'll never forget.

After a memorable proposal, we just knew it had it be Fota Island Resort for the wedding reception. Valentines night was our first night staying there, but the next morning we met some of the team and checked out the function room. We knew from the beginning they’d do a great job. Ciara Greene was our wedding coordinator and she gave us the best advice and support. We really enjoyed dealing with Ciara, nothing was too much trouble. The hotel reception was everything we hoped for and so much more. Ciara and all the team did a super job. The food was outstanding and everyone seemed to really enjoy the day.

Ciara and the wedding team at Fota were excellent and lead to us having a very stress free wedding day. Nothing was ever an issue and they came back to our emails and queries promptly.
