We had our wedding at The Maryborough and it honestly couldn’t have been more perfect! The service was flawless, and the staff from the wedding co-ordinator to service staff as well as senior management went above and beyond to make the whole day feel so special — nothing was ever too much trouble. The food was incredible (so many of our guests are still talking about it!), and every detail was handled with such care and attention. We’re so grateful to the entire team for helping make our day truly unforgettable. The orangery is absolutely beautiful and the perfect setting for a wedding ceremony/reception drinks. And the evening banquet room was also fabulous with plenty of space. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Maryborough, it is outstanding in every way!

We had a truly wonderful experience with the Maryborough. From the very beginning, the team was incredibly helpful and accommodating. Planning was seamless—they were flexible with any adjustments we needed and even went out of their way to source items that weren’t originally on their menu. Although the weather didn’t cooperate on the day, the staff made sure we still got beautiful indoor photos, helping to preserve the magic of the moment. Throughout the entire experience, the Maryborough staff were exceptional. Their warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail helped make our wedding day truly memorable.

We chose to celebrate our entire wedding day at the Maryborough in early October of 2024 as autumn arrived. The orangery was such a beautiful, tranquil setting for our ceremony, even more so on a rainy day! That room was then totally transformed for an afternoon drinks reception, and following this, we had a delicious dinner and party in the hotel's main ballroom. The staff at Maryborough are outstanding, so helpful with everything and were especially accommodating with some of our quirky ideas throughout the wedding day. In fact, this is true even from the first time we visited the hotel in the summer of 2023 to take a look around. We were treated so unbelievably well; it was such a big reason for choosing this venue. Our guests enjoyed the hospitality and the spa over the weekend and walked away with nothing but compliments. Many even told us it was "the best wedding meal" they ever had. Both inside and outside the hotel offered great settings for photographs, too. We had such an amazing time. I honestly can not thank everyone at the Maryborough enough. From the very first day meeting Ellis right through to Carmel helping with the room booking, Roisin was amazing from start to finish. Claire and her team on the night were superb. John, Fidelma, Johannes, and every single member of staff were unbelievable all weekend. There are no words to describe how grateful we are to you and all the team . Every single person we met in Maryborough was fantastic. Each one is as brilliant as the next. It was just amazing. Nothing was too much trouble. No matter what was suggested or requested, there was no problem. No detail was missed, down to the wine for my friend who is allergic to southern hemisphere wine! Roisin was so chilled but soooooo capable, nothing was a problem. Denis believes that she actually fixed the weather for us on the day! I can’t speak highly enough about the staff working at night. Claire was unbelievable , everyone kept checking in, were we ok? Did we need anything? I have had so many comments on how amazing the food was, no delay, all the food arrived at the same time, and no tables were far behind any other, which I think is so important. The day and night were on a schedule, the schedule slipped behind because of us, photos, speeches, etc, no problem, no stress, the team got us back on track without any fuss, without any drama, without any stress, which meant that we were not stressed and could literally just enjoy the day/night. Everyone said how fab everything was, could not fault anything! High praise for all, which obviously meant so much to us, too. The ballroom looked amazing. Nothing was too much hassle for anyone on the team. I honestly would not have changed one single thing about it. We want to thank everyone so, so much for everything. All of the staff treated me, my husband and our families/friends like absolute royalty! They ensured we had the most magical and smoothly run day, and all our guests are still raving about the quality from start to finish - setting, food, service and atmosphere! Our special day was everything we could have dreamt of and more. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the Maryborough to absolutely anyone considering it as their wedding venue - you will not beat it in any way!!

Massive thank you for everything the Maryborough Hotel did to make our wedding day so special. We honestly couldn’t have asked for any more. The bridal suite was a beautiful room to get ready in on the morning of the wedding. The orangery and the ballroom looked incredible, the food was amazing, and the service was exceptional. So many of our guests have told us how impressed they were. Róisín, the wedding coordinator, was so supportive and organised - nothing ever felt like too much trouble. Clare, the banqueting manager, was very supportive throughout the day. The service was seamless, and she made us feel so comfortable. Also, the staff at the main reception were so accommodating and they always went out of their way to help. The whole team really made us feel at ease and allowed us to just enjoy the day, which is something we’ll always be grateful for. We’ll always remember how special the team made it for us and would highly recommend getting married at the Maryborough Hotel. We can’t wait to stay there again soon.

The Maryborough couldn’t have been a more perfect wedding venue. As we aren’t from Cork, we stayed at the hotel the night before and the night after our wedding, and it truly became a home from home for the whole weekend. The staff were outstanding—so attentive and thoughtful, taking care of details we hadn’t even thought of. Umbrellas were ready in case of rain, and when the sun shone, our guests were welcomed with refreshing cold towels at the drinks reception. The dinner was beautiful, with everyone well fed and watered throughout the evening. A huge thank you to Mary and Roisin, our coordinators, who were such a pleasure to work with. Carmel also deserves special mention for managing our ever-changing room bookings with such patience and efficiency. Claire, Luke, and John were equally fantastic in making sure every guest was cared for. The whole team made the planning process smooth and stress-free, and our guests couldn’t stop praising the venue—from its stunning gardens and relaxing spa, to the comfortable rooms, delicious food, and even the cocktails! We cannot wait to return to the Maryborough Hotel, and it will forever hold such a special place and fond memories in our hearts.

Where do I begin? Mary, Roisin, Claire, Luke, Kevin and the rest of the team, we can’t thank you enough. We fell in love with the Maryborough Hotel several years ago and always make an annual visit, so for us it was an easy choice when it came to picking the venue, but it's you guys who are true winners in our eyes! The team made our life so easy with both the run-up to the big day and the big day itself. Everything that was asked was answered, was requested was done, there was no item too big or too small. We’ve had nothing but compliments from our wedding guests in relation to the food, which was plentiful, the staff and the hotel. The team had the venue looking perfect for our big day, from the welcome sign to the sun cream baskets. We felt looked after and cared for the whole weekend. Everyone enjoyed the thermal suites and even a drink or two in the garden the next day. To you all, you will forever have our gratitude, and I know I will have no regret ever recommending the Maryborough Hotel as a Wedding Venue. Our Wedding weekend could not have been any better, and it all came down to the warm and friendly environment which you have created! I wouldn’t change one thing about it! Maryborough Hotel and staff exceeded all of our expectations! Each and every member of staff was welcoming and helpful both on the day and in the build-up to the big day! We were provided with expert tips from our wedding coordinator that made our day run so smoothly. To this day, and I imagine for many years to come, our guests speak of the attentive service and delicious food served on the day. Also, the accommodation was so easily coordinated by Carmel, and the rooms exceeded everyone’s expectations with such a high standard of hygiene and decor. We got all our pictures taken on the grounds, and I can honestly say, looking at them, I can’t imagine a nicer setting. I will never be able to thank the team at Maryborough enough for the professional expertise.

The Maryborough is a beautiful hotel and the staff are amazing. Roisin and Mary were our wedding coordinators, and they could not do enough for us. They ensured that all our requests were met and were also quick to respond to all of our emails. We would have been lost without them in the planning of our day. We were lucky we had beautiful weather on the day, as the grounds of the hotel are stunning. We had our ceremony at the hotel in the orangery and had our photoshoot in the grounds of the hotel. We have already received a sneak peek of our photographs, and they really are amazing. It was ideal for us to be able to do all of this in one location, as we did not have to spend time travelling elsewhere for photographs, as the day absolutely flies by. We would also like to especially thank John, Claire and Luke, who looked after us and all our guests so well on the day. They could not have been nicer. I could not fault anything about the hotel. Carmel responsible for the bedrooms, was also so helpful. She kept us updated frequently and ensured all our requests were met. We are both so delighted that we picked the Maryborough Hotel as the venue for our wedding in July. Everything was great - from booking, the menu tasting, the day itself and everything in between. We had the whole day in the Maryborough, including our ceremony in the Orangery, drinks reception in the gardens and our evening meal in the ballroom. All of the team were so helpful, including Ellis, who we originally met with to book our wedding, Roisin, who was a great help throughout the whole organisation process, and of course Clare and her team on the day were brilliant. We were blessed with gorgeous weather, which made the drinks reception in the garden even more special, and the Orangery is just absolutely beautiful – our guests were blown away as they arrived. Our wedding at The Maryborough Hotel was amazing! It was always at the top of our list, and after our first meeting, we were positive it was the venue for us. We felt very confident that the team there could help us create the day that we wanted. No ask was too big, and they helped us every step of the way. Leading up to the day, they were fantastic to work with. They were always available to talk, quick to respond to emails and always willing to meet with us if we needed to discuss anything. On the day, the team literally made the day better. From the second we woke up, they created an amazing atmosphere full of fun and excitement. They made sure they had everything, and they helped us with things we didn't even realise we needed. Our day would not have gone as smoothly as it did if it weren't for them. Their years of experience in the wedding industry are extremely evident, but what made it so special to us was their personal touches. We felt like we were amongst friends throughout the day; they were so kind and generous to us and our guests. They were always making sure as the Bride & Groom, we were comfortable, enjoying ourselves and had everything we needed. We have nothing but positive things to say about our experience having our wedding reception at the Maryborough. All the planning was professional and smooth. The wedding coordinator, Ellis, was fabulous to work with. On the day, we were very well looked after, we were greeted very nicely by management and staff, and assigned lovely staff to look after us for the day. Our guests also spoke positively of the hotel.

From start to finish the Maryborough were top class. Anything we asked for was no hassle, we could call/email with any queries and our minds were set at ease straight away. We didn’t need to worry about the flow or set up on the day the guys are such experts and the day couldn’t have gone any better.
