Massive thank you for everything the Maryborough Hotel did to make our wedding day so special. We honestly couldn’t have asked for any more. The bridal suite was a beautiful room to get ready in on the morning of the wedding. The orangery and the ballroom looked incredible, the food was amazing, and the service was exceptional. So many of our guests have told us how impressed they were. Róisín, the wedding coordinator, was so supportive and organised - nothing ever felt like too much trouble. Clare, the banqueting manager, was very supportive throughout the day. The service was seamless, and she made us feel so comfortable. Also, the staff at the main reception were so accommodating and they always went out of their way to help. The whole team really made us feel at ease and allowed us to just enjoy the day, which is something we’ll always be grateful for. We’ll always remember how special the team made it for us and would highly recommend getting married at the Maryborough Hotel. We can’t wait to stay there again soon.

The Maryborough couldn’t have been a more perfect wedding venue. As we aren’t from Cork, we stayed at the hotel the night before and the night after our wedding, and it truly became a home from home for the whole weekend. The staff were outstanding—so attentive and thoughtful, taking care of details we hadn’t even thought of. Umbrellas were ready in case of rain, and when the sun shone, our guests were welcomed with refreshing cold towels at the drinks reception. The dinner was beautiful, with everyone well fed and watered throughout the evening. A huge thank you to Mary and Roisin, our coordinators, who were such a pleasure to work with. Carmel also deserves special mention for managing our ever-changing room bookings with such patience and efficiency. Claire, Luke, and John were equally fantastic in making sure every guest was cared for. The whole team made the planning process smooth and stress-free, and our guests couldn’t stop praising the venue—from its stunning gardens and relaxing spa, to the comfortable rooms, delicious food, and even the cocktails! We cannot wait to return to the Maryborough Hotel, and it will forever hold such a special place and fond memories in our hearts.

Where do I begin? Mary, Roisin, Claire, Luke, Kevin and the rest of the team, we can’t thank you enough. We fell in love with the Maryborough Hotel several years ago and always make an annual visit, so for us it was an easy choice when it came to picking the venue, but it's you guys who are true winners in our eyes! The team made our life so easy with both the run-up to the big day and the big day itself. Everything that was asked was answered, was requested was done, there was no item too big or too small. We’ve had nothing but compliments from our wedding guests in relation to the food, which was plentiful, the staff and the hotel. The team had the venue looking perfect for our big day, from the welcome sign to the sun cream baskets. We felt looked after and cared for the whole weekend. Everyone enjoyed the thermal suites and even a drink or two in the garden the next day. To you all, you will forever have our gratitude, and I know I will have no regret ever recommending the Maryborough Hotel as a Wedding Venue. Our Wedding weekend could not have been any better, and it all came down to the warm and friendly environment which you have created! I wouldn’t change one thing about it! Maryborough Hotel and staff exceeded all of our expectations! Each and every member of staff was welcoming and helpful both on the day and in the build-up to the big day! We were provided with expert tips from our wedding coordinator that made our day run so smoothly. To this day, and I imagine for many years to come, our guests speak of the attentive service and delicious food served on the day. Also, the accommodation was so easily coordinated by Carmel, and the rooms exceeded everyone’s expectations with such a high standard of hygiene and decor. We got all our pictures taken on the grounds, and I can honestly say, looking at them, I can’t imagine a nicer setting. I will never be able to thank the team at Maryborough enough for the professional expertise.

The Maryborough is a beautiful hotel and the staff are amazing. Roisin and Mary were our wedding coordinators, and they could not do enough for us. They ensured that all our requests were met and were also quick to respond to all of our emails. We would have been lost without them in the planning of our day. We were lucky we had beautiful weather on the day, as the grounds of the hotel are stunning. We had our ceremony at the hotel in the orangery and had our photoshoot in the grounds of the hotel. We have already received a sneak peek of our photographs, and they really are amazing. It was ideal for us to be able to do all of this in one location, as we did not have to spend time travelling elsewhere for photographs, as the day absolutely flies by. We would also like to especially thank John, Claire and Luke, who looked after us and all our guests so well on the day. They could not have been nicer. I could not fault anything about the hotel. Carmel responsible for the bedrooms, was also so helpful. She kept us updated frequently and ensured all our requests were met. I would recommend the Maryborough Hotel to any couple planning their big day. We are both so delighted that we picked the Maryborough Hotel as the venue for our wedding in July. Everything was great - from booking, the menu tasting, the day itself and everything in between. We had the whole day in the Maryborough, including our ceremony in the Orangery, drinks reception in the gardens and our evening meal in the ballroom. All of the team were so helpful, including Ellis, who we originally met with to book our wedding, Roisin, who was a great help throughout the whole organisation process, and of course Clare and her team on the day were brilliant. From start to finish, the team went above and beyond to make everything perfect. The venue itself is stunning – we loved the elegant interiors and the beautiful gardens where we took our wedding photos. This was one of the key details that sealed the deal for us, as we wanted to spend as much time as possible with our guests. Having our photos taken on-site saved us so much time! We were blessed with gorgeous weather, which made the drinks reception in the garden even more special, and the Orangery is just absolutely beautiful – our guests were blown away as they arrived. The staff were exceptional, especially Florine, Shane, Clare, and Vikki. They were so professional, warm, and genuinely invested in making our day as special as possible. Our wedding at The Maryborough Hotel was amazing! It was always at the top of our list, and after our first meeting, we were positive it was the venue for us. We felt very confident that the team there could help us create the day that we wanted. No ask was too big, and they helped us every step of the way. Leading up to the day, they were fantastic to work with. They were always available to talk, quick to respond to emails and always willing to meet with us if we needed to discuss anything. On the day, the team literally made the day better. From the second we woke up, they created an amazing atmosphere full of fun and excitement. They made sure they had everything, and they helped us with things we didn't even realise we needed. Our day would not have gone as smoothly as it did if it weren't for them. Their years of experience in the wedding industry are extremely evident, but what made it so special to us was their personal touches. We felt like we were amongst friends throughout the day; they were so kind and generous to us and our guests. Our ceremony took place in the beautiful Orangery, followed by a drinks reception on the lawn – the setting was just perfect and everything we had dreamed of. Ellis was a huge help in the run-up to the day, guiding us through all the finer details. We met Clare during our menu tasting and were delighted when she was also there on the wedding day itself, making sure everything ran smoothly. Florine welcomed us the day before and was such a reassuring presence throughout the day too. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better team or a more magical setting. We couldn’t have picked a better venue for our wedding reception than the Maryborough Hotel & Spa. Every member of staff was so incredibly helpful and helped our day go without a hitch. The Orangery was such a beautiful location for the drinks reception. We had sunshine on the day too, which allowed people to enjoy the gardens. We only met Claire the Wednesday before the wedding but we couldn't have been in better hands. All our families were delighted with her and have been singing her praises since. We have nothing but positive things to say about our experience having our wedding reception at the Maryborough. All the planning was professional and smooth. The wedding coordinator, Ellis, was fabulous to work with. On the day, we were very well looked after, we were greeted very nicely by management and staff, and assigned lovely staff to look after us for the day. Our guests also spoke positively of the hotel.

From start to finish the Maryborough were top class. Anything we asked for was no hassle, we could call/email with any queries and our minds were set at ease straight away. We recently got married in the Maryborough, the communication with the wedding team was fantastic from the minute we booked right through to the wedding day. They were more than helpful and quickly responded to any questions we had. From the moment we arrived for our wedding, we felt so looked after by all the Maryborough staff, especially Roisin, John and Claire. The hotel was beautiful, the gardens were phenomenal in the sunshine, our reception was set up outside, a cooling station with cool cloths and suncream were provided and all our guests had a great experience at the hotel. The staff worked so hard and are a credit to the hotel. The food was gorgeous and we received so many compliments about it. There was plenty of food in the evening meal too. It’s rare to see employees who do that little bit extra for customers. When our post box was tardy in delivery, Johannes offered to craft one for us… Claire directed her staff with quiet organization, being many steps ahead of our needs. The food, oh my… our guests were absolutely overwhelmed by the quality and quantity… the soup and baked Alaska were the rockstars of the meal. We are still hearing accolades from our guests! We were absolutely delighted with everything on our day. From start to finish, the staff went above and beyond at every opportunity to ensure our day was perfect. Our wedding day was an absolute dream at the Maryborough Hotel & Spa! Everything was absolutely amazing on the day! Ellis was fantastic to deal with it from our very first meeting to the day itself! It was a wonderful experience and all the staff on the day were brilliant. I would have my wedding there again in a heartbeat and would be delighted to attend a wedding there as a guest!!

A year on from our wedding in 2023 the compliments from family and friends are once again flowing. The main topic is always the food: "Best wedding food I've ever had"; "Scallops at a wedding?!"; "I'm still dreaming about the fillet of beef"; "What a meal, indulgent and brilliant!"; "superb attention given to my significant dietary requirement", and so on. Truly exceptional and really what differentiates a Maryborough wedding from all other venues - it's not even close. In addition, the beauty of the orangery was much-complimented. "Fairytale-esque", "unique"; and "just beautiful" are common themes, as well as the generosity of the canapé selection. A perfect place for a wedding ceremony and drinks reception (even with the August rain!). Guests really enjoyed the separation of both the orangery and the ballroom from the rest of the hotel ("it felt like you had rented your own private gorgeous venue"), but also the proximity to the resident's bar (to escape for a quiet conversation and drink when the party really got going)! To give some personal reflections on our truly special and wonderful day: - Claire: what an incredible job in running the day. Absolutely nailed it. Her constant attention to detail did not go unnoticed or unappreciated. We think she has some form of mind-reading abilities, anticipating people's needs before people even realised what they needed themselves! - Mary: We could not have asked for a better person to coordinate everything. A fountain of knowledge - very accommodating but not scared to tell you if something doesn't seem quite right in your planning. Exactly what was needed, and it always felt like we were sitting down with a favourite Aunt to plan our day. A master at destressing an anxious bride, especially when trying to plan from abroad. All in all, a perfect day, which a lot of people have claimed is the best wedding they've ever attended, and all made possible by Maryborough and its staff - who are truly something special. We can't wait to come back for our anniversary celebrations!
