We had our wedding here in October and couldn't have asked for a better day. The venue was beautiful, location is stunning, all the staff were extremely friendly and so accommodating. The wedding team at Ruthin, made the experience easy and stress free. They helped us organise and coordinate the day and the external suppliers that we used. As we used the main hall for the ceremony, the wedding breakfast and the night do, the room had to be changed around in between each section, which went so smoothly, even with me coming in to ask them questions. Ruthin Castle, was always our first choice and they did not disappoint on the day. Everyone was absolutely fantastic and am already looking forward to going back for our anniversary next year.

My husband and I got married at Ruthin Castle on the 16th November 24. The staff were all amazing and couldn’t do enough for us. The bedrooms were lovely, the food was delicious and we all had an amazing time exploring the castle and its grounds. We highly recommend staying here and getting married. We had the most beautiful wedding at Ruthin Castle! Everything was perfect from start to finish, from the stunning Peacock Terrace (with actual peacocks!) where we got married to our gorgeous wedding breakfast and evening reception in the Grand Salon and Library Terrace. The setting was absolutely breathtaking, and this was captured in all of our wedding photographs. The staff were so lovely and accommodating, keeping us updated on everything that was happening throughout the day. Nothing was too much trouble. The hotel manager was on-site all day, making sure everything was perfect for us, and I can’t thank him enough! All our wedding dreams came true at Ruthin Castle, and we wish we could do it all over again!

We had a wonderful evening at Ruthin Castle for our wedding reception in November 2023. Everything, from the planning to the wedding reception, was such a smooth stress-free process; we can't thank Naomi & Paige enough for organising this. We had a very intimate wedding reception for 12 people in the Kind Edward Suite, and the room was just the perfect size for our party. We were looked after so well by the team on the night; nothing was too much trouble, and everyone was so approachable and friendly. The room had been decorated beautifully with the decorations we had dropped off the day before. My instructions were followed to the letter, yet the room still managed to far exceed my expectations on the finished look. It was so cosy and beautiful; it was exactly what we wanted. The food from the wedding breakfast was absolutely delicious, and all of our guests commented on how amazing the food was. Ruthin Castle now is a special place for us, we can't wait to come back for our anniversary.

We could not be happier with Ruthin Castle and the wonderful team that works there. Our wedding day was absolutely perfect from start to finish. The events staff were incredibly supportive throughout the planning process, keeping in touch through regular emails and meetings to help us with organising room reservations, timings, suppliers, menus, and various other elements for the day. They were very accommodating with our menu tasting and provided a good range of options for people with different dietary requirements. Across the whole weekend, staff could not do enough for us and our guests - everyone felt well looked-after. Everything ran smoothly and flawlessly from start to finish, from setting out the decorations and turning the room around, to coordinating our suppliers and guests, as well as simply being very considerate and welcoming throughout. The venue itself is, of course, stunning. Getting married in a real medieval castle is a truly unique experience. The renovations have preserved the historic features while also adding some modern luxury. It’s really beautifully done. Our package included a complimentary night in the Prince of Wales Suite, which was amazing! The staff also kindly brought us room service for breakfast. Beyond the building, the grounds and mountain views are utterly breathtaking. All of this provided such a gorgeous backdrop for our wedding photos. Thanks again to the team at Ruthin Castle. They ensured a perfect wedding day for us and our guests. We can’t recommend them or thank them enough!

We just got married here and we can’t recommend this venue enough. Ruthin Castle is a great location for a breathtaking fairy tale. The venue is situated in beautiful surroundings at the heart of North Wales. The castle stands proudly on the most stunning grounds the added bonus is a beautiful inside area and exquisite architecture...there is also plenty of parking too! Ruthin Castle was our dream venue and our dreams really did come true on our wedding day. The events team were simply exceptional, as was the general manager. The whole team offered us support assurance and the most perfect care and attention the entire way through from booking, right the way through until our Big Day. We genuinely cannot recommend this venue enough... if you want to live your very own fairy tale... get booking!!!!

Our wedding day was absolutely incredible. The staff at the castle could not have been more helpful without being intrusive and the food was amazing. We got so many compliments from our guests on the food. The decorations were impeccable and the honeymoon suite we stayed in was just phenomenal. It even has its own link to the current King. The Castle itself has beautiful grounds which were a joy to take photos in (thankfully the weather held out for us!) and we can't wait to see the pictures. Our dog Merlin was allowed to be a part of our day as our ring bearer and definitely stole the show in his suit. We are so glad we had our wedding here and would absolutely recommend it to anyone else looking for a wedding venue with its own wealth of history to discover.

We had our wedding at Ruthin. We both fell in love with the castle straight away. We both had the best day we could ask for. A massive shout out to all the staff working that day for making it so special but a bigger shout out to Jane. The day ran so smoothly, she could see I was getting nervous before going down the aisle and she made sure I was okay, calmed me down and let me do everything in my own time. Honestly we can't thank you all enough. Would like to apologise for the mess we did leave when you transferred our things. Entertaining kids as well as getting ready = very hard! From the start of our vision for our wedding in the teepee, the team at the castle were amazing and helpful. Jodie and Paige were exceptional in their role of wedding and events so our wedding was the most fantastic day. All our friends and family said what an amazing day. All the staff are friendly, approachable and want to make your time there enjoyable. The manager, Ionut Rus also made sure he was available to check we had everything we needed to make our day special and worry free. I can’t thank everyone at Ruthin Castle enough for helping to make our day magical and memorable and making me feel so special as a bride. I love Ruthin Castle, it is so unique from the interior to the grounds to the wonderful team of people who run it. You're doing an amazing job .

From the package on offer to the pre wedding communication to the day itself, our wedding day couldn’t have been more perfect. The package on offer includes absolutely everything you would want for your day (there are extras you can pay for) but for the type of people me and my husband are, we were more than happy with what was offered. There was plenty of communication beforehand to make sure all the little things were in place before the day. The event plannings team (particularly Naomi) were so helpful in making a few changes and substitutes to the food and drink offering to meet needs of myself and guests. The day itself, to say something is perfect is a bold statement, but our wedding was. The staff on the day couldn’t have done enough for us, they made sure everything ran to schedule and they were so friendly and helpful. I stayed the night before and the manager on shift was so helpful in going through the wedding day schedule and letting me check out the room for the layout and put in any decorations I wanted. The castle itself is just beautiful from the original decor to the gardens outside, it was a fabulous location for our wedding. The staff were so efficient, they cleared up the rooms and tidied away all of our belongings into another room for us to collect in the morning. The food was delicious and was just the right amount throughout the day and the suite they put us in at the end of the night was amazing, I can’t wait to go back on our anniversary. I can’t praise this place enough for hosting our wedding.

What an amazing setting for our special day We had the most amazing day at Ruthin Castle getting married. The staff were so attentive and catered to our every need. Lovely, approachable and easy to get on with. Nothing was an issue. We opted for a afternoon tea style wedding breakfast (with plenty of rustic fries) the food was delicious. There was plenty to feed all of our guests and the food just kept coming. The set up of the room was stunning, hats off to the in-house decor company, Marleys Magical creations. And boy did they turn our room Into something magical. A lovely touch towards the darker evening was when the staff lit the fire pit for our guests. It really was lovely. A huge plus for us was the surrounding land that our photographer was able to get some brilliant shots of us and our guests. We're so happy we chose Ruthin Castle as our wedding venue and we can't wait to go back there for our anniversary.

We got married at the castle last Saturday (07/10/17) and the day from beginning to end couldn't have been more perfect. Thanks to Debby our day was magical. All of our guests were so impressed with the grounds, rooms, staff and food and so were we! So much so that we have already booked to come back and can not wait. xx
