Amazing from start to finish! We had our wedding here on 14th September 2024. We had a fantastic experience the whole way through. Hanna was absolutely brilliant with helping us plan the whole day and making sure everything was exactly how we wanted it. We had Anne as our wedding host on the day. It was her first solo wedding and she honestly could not have done a better job. All of our guests mentioned how amazing she was, she really made the day what she was we couldn't have asked for a better host! Freya & Liam

Actual Magic! We had our wedding here and we couldn't have picked a better venue at all, such a wonderful hotel with incredibly accommodating staff and exceptional service. We'd like to give a special mention to Hanna and Christine who made the whole day run smoothly and not a single thing could have made it any more perfect. The rooms are fantastic with everything you need and the 'Garden View' rooms are absolutely stunning. We ate in the restaurant and at Alexanders, the onsite pub, and both have excellent food and service. This place has become somewhere very special to us and we can't wait to come and stay again. Absolutely amazing day at Castle Green Hotel for our wedding day, the staff couldn’t have done any more for us and I’m genuinely so grateful to them all especially Hanna our wedding coordinator and Christine our wedding host who was amazing and made the day run so smoothly! Where to start. Castle Green had everything we wanted. Beautiful, welcoming and down to earth. We never felt out of place or anything was too much, We had great vendors too who were recommended through the hotel . The communication from start to finish was second to none. Nicola who was running things for us, we couldn't praise high enough to the point we felt we were treated like family. So organised, friendly and kind. The respect we were shown was really good. The place itself is just beautiful and varied. The day flowed so well .Our guests all enjoyed the venue also with a lot commentating how great it was, from the rooms, staff and food. The meals we had for our wedding were superb and served very swiftly. It was impressive. Rooms fantastic. If we could relive the day again, we'd do it at Castle Green every time.

We cannot thank you enough for our wonderful wedding reception! From our first viewing we felt well looked after. Nicola always went above and beyond to get us answers and to deliver on our vision for the day, and in our meetings with her we always felt at ease. Nicola always seemed to have things under control even when we didn’t know the answers to her questions! Thank you to Nicola for answering all of our many emails back and forth and for helping bring our vision to life. The day itself was perfect from beginning to end. The vendors recommended by the hotel were wonderful and everything looked amazing! All our arrangements were executed perfectly by Christine and the team. The staff were so warm and friendly and we truly felt well cared for. Whenever we would ask about arrangements for something, the reply was always “don’t worry we’ve got it all sorted, just enjoy the day” - and it was! We could not praise all the staff enough, what a fab team they are. If things went wrong, we had no idea, from our end everything ran so smoothly! The food we picked was absolutely lovely and a lot of our guests told us how much they enjoyed the menu! All dietary requirements were taken care of without any fuss. Everyone also loved the build-a-burger (sadly we didn’t eat ours as we were too busy dancing, but we heard they were amazing!). Our room was gorgeous, we didn’t want to leave - thank you for our surprise bottle of bubbly! Between Nicola’s expert planning and Christine and the F&B teams' hard work on the day, we had the most perfect reception. We could not recommend Castle Green Hotel more highly - our wedding day surpassed our expectations and it truly was the wedding of our dreams. Best Wishes The Wilsons

We had the best day ever, staff and venue just brilliant, we wish we could do it all over again. Everyone that was invited said they had a great time from food to the disco how the room was set out, our memory table to the photo hoof, our letters from big wow and of course your staff being very helpful. We have talked about renewing our vows in 10 years we enjoyed our wedding that much, you never know we might be back. Big thank you to Amanda Paxman and of course Nicola our wedding co-ordinator. (We just wished we could have had our outdoor wedding) but inside was just as nice a set up perfect, flowers by arrangements, our allocation from the hotel, you would not need to look anywhere else and Mr & Mrs Jones for the indoor decoration. Nicola, our wedding coordinator was amazing from our first appointment right through to handing over to the wedding day staff, she listened to what we were wanting and made suggestions where we were unsure. Nicola responded to emails and communications and made sure every detail was discussed and arranged for the day. On the day, the staff were supportive and ensured that things went to plan, unfortunately due to weather we made the decision not to have the outside wedding and got married in the garden room, while this was our back up plan it was lovely and organised well , with photos being completed outside. It did not spoil the day at all. Thank you Nicola and all the staff at Caste Green, we have some amazing memories from the day.

This review has taken me a few weeks to write because I wanted to find some very special words for a very special place. Our wedding at the Castle Green Hotel was truly the greatest weekend of our lives, and many of our families lives too, it wasn't far from a fairy tale. The Castle Green was the very first place that me and my now husband went on holiday together, 13 years ago. We have been hooked on this venue ever since and have always admired its warm welcome and beauty, both inside and outside of its walls. We cannot thank Nicola and Claire enough for every single part of our Wedding planning process. Planning a wedding is equally exciting and stressful, with many details and alterations being made along the way. The stress was completely taken out of our hands and we were always made to feel fully supported with confidence along this journey. Christine was our wonderful wedding host and the day from start to finish flowed so beautifully. Each staff member, including the co-coordinators, chefs, waiters and bar/hotel staff were outstanding and multiple guests are still commenting on the great service to this day! Their praises deserve to be preached. The sun shone down so brightly on us that weekend and lit up the stunning hotel gardens and terrace even more than usual. I think even if it rained, the day would have been equally as amazing. It really feels like something special when you would not change one single thing about the day. As much as we'd love to redo it all over again because time goes so quickly, we wouldn't want anything to be different from the magical day it was. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. Our wedding day at Castle Green was absolutely amazing! Everything ran like clockwork on the day thanks to Beth our planner, Christine our host on the day and all the waiting on staff. Beth was very professional throughout the planning phase of our wedding. The contract was easily understood and we thought it was a very reasonable price for the service we received. Christine did a grand job herding up our guests on the day and the meal service and food quality was first class. We would have no hesitation in recommending Castle Green for a wedding, it is an excellent venue, particularly the smaller function room with the large terrace that comes into its own if it’s a warm sunny evening as we were lucky enough to enjoy. Well done Castle Green.

Honestly where has the time gone, feels like only yesterday we were meeting at the hotel for the first time! It really was an incredible day and we cannot thank you and the staff enough with how amazing it was. There were a few minor issues on the day but the day and weekend was amazing, from arriving at the hotel to the moment we left, the staff were incredible and attentive. Kelly was one of the first bartenders we met upon arrival and she made every member of our families who were staying over feel welcomed and just had fun with all of us. She is a credit to the hotel. James’ meal at Alexanders was phenomenal; James has only heard great things from everyone who dined with him that Friday night. Speaking of food, that wedding breakfast was incredible, everyone has complimented our choices as well as the preparation of it all and the room was set up exactly how we wanted it to look which was even better. The evening celebration, which you very well know, was insane. Everyone had a ball dancing to the tracks DJ Gary Mills chose and it was an overall excellent day. We want to say a massive thank you to you and all the team for an absolutely incredible wedding weekend, we knew you were good but we didn’t realise how good. Everything was just perfect from day 1 of making the initial enquiry. Claire could not have been more helpful and flexible with the options. The package was great value for money and we were given really helpful advice and guidance all the way through. On the day, Christine was amazing making sure everything ran smoothly. It really felt like the whole team really cared and wanted to make sure everything went exactly as we wanted. They set the benchmark in terms of customer service that others should aspire to.

From the start of wedding planning to the end of the night of the wedding, Nicola and the rest of the team couldn't of done any more for us in planning and making sure we had the most fantastic day to celebrate our wedding. Nothing was too much trouble on the day, Christine was a massive help on the day ensuring it ran smoothly and all our guests with dietary requirements were taken care of with no fuss. Overall, our wedding day was fantastic and this was all down to the staff at Castle Green. I would thoroughly recommend this venue to everyone!

Nicola and the team at Castle Green were just amazing from start to finish. After a bumpy start booking just as covid hit, they took our concerns on board and catered to us every step of the way. They took our budget into consideration and helped us make choices throughout. The girls are there to answer all our questions whenever we needed advice and never got annoyed despite my million emails and constantly changing my mind lol! Fantastic from start to finish. The planning was a joy with the friendly experienced team. We were made to feel relaxed and so special throughout the whole time. We felt listened to and able to request special details which meant the world to us. The actual day ran very smoothly, the staff were very attentive. Food was delicious, drinks were perfect. I cannot recommend the Castle Green Hotel highly enough.

I just loved my special day at the Castle Green Hotel. All the staff looked after me and Keith so well and I would just like to thank the Castle Green Hotel for all that they did for the both of us and looked after and catered for all the Guests. We are so glad we chose to have our wedding at the Castle Green Hotel. We were helped through the entire planning, the staff were wonderful. On the day the canape, wedding breakfast and the evening buffet were delicious. All dietary requirements were catered for. The lovely venue, friendly and helpful staff , and the wonderful food helped to make our day a lovely day to remember. Everything was done to help us have a lovely and stress free wedding, we couldn't have asked for more.

Our experience with the Castle Green Hotel has been exceptional from start to finish. As locals in the area, we visited the majority of the wedding hotels in the Lakes and by comparison these guys were just miles ahead of everyone else. Massive shout out to Nicola who has been friendly, helpful and given outstanding customer service from the word go.. as a couple who are completely clueless about weddings she has been integral in helping us pull the big day together - she really knows her stuff, is organised, professional and stayed in touch the perfect amount. The venue itself has a cracking location overlooking Kendal which provides beautiful views of the castle, local fells and over to the Lake District, and we found the entire team to be as helpful as Nicola. There aren't many places that could house the 140 total guests we needed, plus sleep our travelling guests in the many rooms so this was a winner for us. Furthermore we had exceptional food on the day and the function rooms are a great size, so even for a big wedding like ours everyone had enough room, and access to the 2 huge bars which eliminated waiting times for drinks. I'm sure everyone loves their wedding day, but for us it went without a hitch, the staff were great, the room looked fab and we didn't have to think about a thing. All of our guests commented on how accommodating the hotel were and it just helped to create the fun, relaxed atmosphere we hoped we would have. Can't thank these guys enough, no wonder they keep winning all the awards!
