My husband and I got married at Portmarnock over the Easter weekend this year and had truly the best day of our lives. We’re visiting the hotel next week from Wednesday to Friday along with my sister Nicole who was my bridesmaid, to have a little post wedding trip/celebration. After the wedding was such a blur I don’t think I got a chance to thank every member of staff for such a truly outstanding time. From the day we met Karen, she took such exceptional care of us. Paul made our day so seamless, several guests commented it was like a movie. Every member of staff we encountered was so professional, kind, and helpful. The hotel itself is so beautiful and immaculate, and the food... what do I say about the food? What a showcase for Irish produce and cuisine! I know guests say it all the time but so many people told us it was the best wedding they’d ever been to. The beautiful weather certainly helped! Following our engagement, my husband and I started the wedding venue search. Nothing was standing out for us and we were about to move our search outside of Dublin when my husband asked to view the Portmarnock Hotel and Golf Links. From the moment we arrived to the hotel we both knew that our wedding reception would be held there. The new meets old interior is done so well. The views are indescribable, the attention to detail is second to none and staff are so welcoming. We booked our wedding pretty quickly and from the start Karen was outstanding. No question went unanswered, she understood exactly what we wanted and went out of her way to make our day so special. Planning our wedding was very easy with Karen and we were never stressed. On our wedding day my husband had stayed in the hotel the night before. He states that the hotel went out of their way that morning to make sure he was ok and prepared for the day. We had brought personal things to the wedding venue eg: sweets, favours etc and they had set everything up as we had asked. Paul (the manager for the day) was exceptional. He went out of his way to make sure that not only we were ok and looked after but that all our guests were looked after too. We had our pictures taken around the hotel and it’s grounds. You would be mad to go elsewhere. From the food, drink and service everything was perfect. All our guests raved about the hotel, their rooms, the staff, the food and the wedding itself. People were genuinely impressed with everything on the day. If I was to live our wedding day over again I would pick the Portmarnock Hotel and Golf Links again as I truly believe there is no better venue out there. We had our wedding here and where to start... It was the best day and everyone at Portmarnock could not have done enough for us! The staff were incredible (special thanks to Karen and Paul), nothing was too much hassle. We knew we were in great hands! From start to finish, the attention to detail was amazing and everyone made the same comments about how helpful everyone was! I got married at Portmarnock Hotel & Golf Links and it was one of the best days of my life. Everything ran smoothly. In the run up to the wedding we met Karen Hoff the wedding coordinator and she went through everything with us. We were undecided about the soup so she allowed us another sitting. We had a manager assigned to us on the day of our wedding called Ash. He went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful day. If we needed anything all we had to do was raise our hand and he was there. The food was fabulous and it is such a beautiful hotel. We had such a wonderful day. From the minute we stepped inside Portmarnock Hotel & Golf Links - we fell in love with how beautiful it was, then we met Karen. She was amazing to deal with, so warm, kind and caring, nothing was ever a problem. She walked me through the whole process and always kept me calm, in times when I thought I was having a wobble, she would always put me at ease. I know the hotel was very busy with weddings, back to back most weekends, but dealing with her was always a pleasure, never left waiting on an answer. It felt as if it was only our wedding she was dealing with. I visited the hotel many times and it always blew me away with how beautiful it was. On the day of our wedding it was even more stunning, the autumn flower display in the reception was stunning. When we arrived Ash helped me out of the car and Karen was there to greet us at the door. Seeing her friendly face put me right back at ease as I knew once I arrived the amazing staff at Portmarnock Hotel and Golf Links had everything under control, which they did. The day ran so smoothly and that was all down to the wonderful staff at the hotel. Karen and Ash I can't thank you enough. All our guests loved the hotel and I've been told so many times that it was the best wedding food they ever had. Karen thanks so much for helping with our boys. We had our wedding here on Saturday and it was just perfect from start to finish. The wedding co ordinator was so helpful and the hotel staff were so efficient, friendly and helpful. We got married at the Portmarnock Hotel & Golf Links on the 7th July, 2018. From the moment we booked the venue back in July 2016 I knew we made the right choice. Karen and her team were there with us every step of the way, calming nerves, giving guidance and celebrating with us. Karen made the entire experience so easy. Every request we had was taken care of and carried out with such precision. The Moyne Suite took our breath away when we arrived on the day and our guests are still talking about the Secret Garden drinks reception. Everything aligned perfectly for us on the day, gorgeous weather, amazing scenery, unbelievable food and warm and friendly staff. Eoin and I were married on Nov 11th 2017 . I grew up in portmarnock and now live nearby . I had a strong connection with the hotel with many happy memories there on various occasions throughout the years. I was blown away by the investment in the hotel in recent years . Everything the staff the rooms the food the decor is really fabulous . I was so proud to have my wedding here on the doorstep of portmarnock beach with so many lovely extras secret garden amazing bridal suite etc I received wonderful feedback from so many of my guests . The hotel is full of character blending the old with the new beautifully . This was the first and only hotel we looked at . We had an amazing day we're every lady detail was thought of . I couldn't think of anywhere better to get married !

We had our wedding reception in Portmarnock hotel and golf links in August. From the very beginning we knew we made the right decision. The venue itself is fantastic, from the location to the facilities. The renovations the hotel underwent last year just enhance the atmosphere and gives so many different opportunities for wedding photos. We cannot recommend Marcella highly enough. As the wedding co ordinator she was juggling several weddings at once but always made us feel like we were the only couple getting married! The food was fab, the hotel was gorgeous and the staff were wonderful We had an amazing day. What can we say..... we met Marcella in January 2017, and from the first handshake we knew we were in safe hands! Nothing was a problem and there was constant communication throughout the entire process which is key. The hotel has a fabulous reception area which has been recently renovated and the high standards run throughout the hotel. All the staff are very professional, efficient, welcoming, and eager to please all requests. The hotel is location on the beach so the views are just stunning and would make any wedding a dream come true.

My husband of 2 days (!!!) and I would like to nominate the Portmarnock Hotel & Golf Links for top wedding venue in Dublin. We chose the hotel as our wedding venue after a visit in March, 2017, our wedding date was the 25th November, 2017. The initial impression on that day was wonderful, with the beautiful location, Portmarnock Beach lies just in front of the hotel, the stunning lobby with it's beautiful light and floral display and the very friendly and efficient wedding coordinator Marcella McCann. Over the next months Marcella was always ready to help with any queries we had. She provided information quickly and no request was too much trouble. Andrew and I had chosen to have a small wedding and the menu was really important to us. Dining at the Portmarnock Hotel surpassed our expectations. We had a wonderful evening when we sampled the wedding menu, the food on was truly delicious. Afterwards our feedback was noted and all our requests met. We had a meeting with Marcella just under two weeks before the wedding to go through all the fine details of the day. We never felt hurried, the meeting was relaxed but very efficient and any concerns we had were all laid to rest. It made the run up to the day stress free and relaxed. On the 24th my mother, bridesmaid, sister-in-law and I visited the hotel to put final touches to the reception. We were met by Jonathan and several staff who were already preparing the room and they couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. After our ceremony we were greeted by Marcella and Jonathan with prosecco and were cared for from that moment on. The prosecco and canapé reception was wonderful, our guests kept complimenting the food, the meal was perfect, with many guests saying they never had such delicious food. Our bridal suite, which was included in our package, as well as two other rooms, was luxurious with a spectacular view. This hotel is the PERFECT wedding venue! From our first appointment with Marcella and her team right through to our check-out the day after our wedding, the staff looked after our every need as well as those of our guests with an attention to detail that surpassed our expectations. The tasting to select our menu was superb, and we were able to ensure that all guests, adults and children, including the vegan bride were perfectly catered for. The venue itself had all the mix of olde world charm with cosy fires and plush comfortable relaxation areas set against modern sleek light-filled architecture for our welcome reception in the bar and terrace area. Our guests quickly felt at home. The gardens outside were ideal for our photos, being just a few short steps from the reception area. The room for our dinner was beautifully decorated with our complimentary colour co-ordinated seat covers and sashes - Marcella really pulled out the stops for us on every detail. Dinner service was so professional, yet relaxed and friendly - all our guests commented on how lovely the staff were and, equally importantly, just how good the food was. We partied long and hard into the night and had the space and privacy to thoroughly enjoy ourselves. It was great to meet up with everyone the next morning for breakfast and then walk the beach in the winter sunshine. We are left with such happy memories of our wonderful day in no small part to Marcella and her team, and we highly recommend this venue to any future couples.

Myself and my husband got married in Portmarnock Hotel & Gold Links on 28th of October 2017, we had an amazing day mostly thanks to the staff at the hotel. Marcella was with me throughout the whole planning of the day. No job was too big or too small. Everything was perfect. My sister has quite a few alergies and the hotel were more than happy to cater for her, which put my mine at ease as i worry about her getting sick. Marcella and Jonathon were there to greet myself and my husband when we arrived which was very reasuring to see their friendly faces. I couldnt recommend the hotel more. The only problem was it was over too quick. Wish we could do it all over again.

We got married in Portmarnock links on the 1st of June this year and from the very start the way we were treated was 5 star. The wedding planner Marcella was unbelievable. Her attention to detail for every little thing blew me away. She could not have done enough to ensure we were 100% happy with everything. I cannot thank her enough for looking after us all before, during and after the wedding. The venue itself is spectacular. Overlooking the Irish sea and world class links golf course. We had so many options where to have the service. We chose the secret garden but had to have the ceremony inside due to the inclement weather. This did not stop the team having the option of the outside ceremony prepared. The ceremony was at 2.30 but unfortunately the rain came at 2.20. All the staff prepared both inside and out even though the weather was for rain. They really did their utmost to facilitate the outside service. This really showed how caring and diligent they were to look after us. All our guests had an amazing time. The food was delicious and nothing was out of place. The service during the meal was spot on and not rushed like a lot of weddings I have attended. The links room which we chose was decorated beautifully. The accommodation and bedrooms are beautiful ( especially the honeymoon suite ). It has a beautiful mix of old and new. They have built a spectacular new entrance to the hotel and the Jameson bar has this amazing feeling to it. Its like something from a old manor. I would highly recommend this venue. The staff cannot do enough for you and this is evident from the moment you arrive.

People say that organising a wedding is stressful, but when it came to our reception at the Portmarnock Hotel & Golf Links this past July, my husband and I didn't have to worry about a thing! The wedding co-ordinator, Marcella, and the entire team took care of everything. From the moment we emailed to enquire, we found that the staff were polite, open to our ideas, happy to give advice based on experience and always available to respond to emails. The hotel is beautifully decorated in creams, aquas and ocean blues. The style is fresh and modern and would make for beautiful wedding photos, no matter the weather. As it was, we were able to head out onto the dunes and get amazing photographs against an ocean backdrop. Location-wise, my husband's family were travelling in from abroad, so PHGL was really easy to reach from the airport and the perfect combination of beach holiday and city break, as they could travel into Dublin city in 20 minutes or so. I want to specifically mention the incredible personalised service we received around planning our reception meal: my husband and I both had serious dietary requirements, as did several of our guests. We were very concerned about tailoring the meal to make sure that everyone enjoyed it. When we raised this with Marcella, she arranged a phone call with the head chef, Tom, who took time out to speak to us for a good 10-15 minutes, finding out what we could and couldn't eat and making suggestions. He was able to cater for coeliac vegetarians, lactose-intolerant coeliacs, people with soya intolerances and more, without compromising on taste or originality. Everyone was delighted with the food and the pastry chef even whipped up a custom dessert for my husband that he is still raving about. Through it all, we were made to feel that nothing was too much to ask and every time I met with Marcella, I felt as though I was sitting down with a friend.
