We had our wedding at Coed-y-Mwstwr, and it was perfection! The team at Coed-y-Mwstwr were incredible and helped us create the wedding that we had envisioned. On the day itself, the team did everything to make sure the day went smoothly and it was enjoyed by all our guests. We had so many comments from our guests about how beautiful the venue was, that the food was fantastic and the accommodation was stunning; everyone had a great day and so did we.

The perfect wedding venue! An idyllic setting nestled amongst serenely beautiful woodland, this Victorian mansion house is the perfect backdrop if you wish to have a more secluded setting for your wedding day. You have access to all areas of the site including a glass pergola, and each room has its own unique charm and character. Alongside it being a stunning location, the staff ensured that every detail was flawlessly taken care of from the very first meeting to the last dance of the night. The events team were amazing and always answered every little question we had before the big day, whilst on the day itself Tegan took excellent care of us. Many of our guests commented on how tasty the menu was and in particular, enjoyed the homemade fudge served at the drinks reception. An added bonus is that the venue is dog friendly, which allowed us to be able to have our lovely Springador join us for some photos and socialising. This venue truly is special and we couldn't imagine our day being anywhere else.

Absolutely amazing! The day went without a glitch. The food was out of this world. It was served fast and hot with no mistakes or anything left out and all our guests where happy and full. The staff where very helpful and when a guest got taken ill they boxed her dinner up ready to go so she didn't miss out! Drinks where served fast and efficiently with no one missing out! The venue is beautiful and clean I couldn't imagine our day anywhere else. The only sad thing is that we won't get a wedding day again!

We first looked at this venue in April 2022 and as soon as we stepped foot inside, we knew it was the perfect venue for us. The grounds are breathtaking and The Folly was the ideal place for our summer wedding! The whole process from the day we booked up until our wedding day, was spotless. Thank you to everyone at the Coed-y-Mwstwr Hotel who made not only our big day, but also the whole planning process, an absolutely amazing experience for us! Over the 18 months of planning, we spoke to/met with all of the wedding coordinators and various Hotel staff, and always received prompt, detailed, friendly responses. Nothing was too much trouble! We visited many times for lunch/dinner leading up to the wedding and always had lovely service from the Restaurant/Bar team, as well as fantastic food and scenery! In terms of the big day, I can’t thank the people who ran the day enough! Everything was on time, questions were answered thoroughly, and last-minute changes were accommodated well. A friendly atmosphere the night before and morning of was created, a yummy breakfast was delivered to the Bridal Party when getting ready and bedrooms were so clean and spacious! The Coed team also worked so well with our Photographer to make sure we made the best out of our poor weather situation - very grateful for the Folly which kept everyone covered and we still got the outdoor feel to our photos! The team created a bespoke menu for our guests, as well as offering traditional options and both went down a treat! Presentation was fantastic, generous portions and the team handing out the food were amazing, so friendly and approachable - definitely added to the upbeat atmosphere I was hoping for the wedding breakfast. From communication and planning to delivery and execution, I can’t recommend having a wedding at the Coed Y Mwstwr enough! We can’t wait to visit again. Thank you so much!

We are so incredibly grateful for the kindness and support we received on our wedding day. The pre-meet the day before helped to reassure us that everything was in hand - the room was set up exactly how we envisioned and we could not be more pleased. The day ran perfectly with the staff on hand to help and support anything - nothing was too much of an ask. The food and drinks were stunning with lots of compliments from the guests! We included our dog Ronnie (golden retriever) on the day and he was treated as a guest of honour! We are so incredibly happy with the day and it truly was magical!

We cannot recommend the Coed Y Mwstwr enough! They were absolutely superb and ensured we had the wedding day we have always dreamed of. During the lead up, they were extremely communicative and no question or query went unanswered. The handover meetings were so helpful and Megan and the team helped to alleviate any worries we had. On the day itself, Tegan, Paul and the team went above and beyond to ensure everything went without a hitch. They were extremely attentive and ensured that we as the bride and groom were aware of decisions that were being made, but without placing any stress on us. There were so many people working and they were all so kind and helpful. The guests commented on how smooth everything was. The food was amazing and we had so many compliments from our guests. They allowed us to create our own bespoke food and drink packages so that we could have what worked for us. The venue itself couldn’t have been better- we made use of the Folly and the Hendre suite which led out to a patio area. This was perfect for the evening. The whole team were so helpful and we are so glad we decided to have our wedding at the Coed! Thank you for everything!!

From the moment we first viewed the Coed-Y-Mwstwr, we knew it was the right place for us. The staff were so welcoming (we just had this lovely warm feeling and got the sense that we would be so well looked after), and the venue itself is beautiful. The amount of space available really stood out to us. We had our ceremony in the Elliot Suite, our drinks reception outside in the folly and surrounding gardens, our wedding breakfast in the Hendre Suite, and in the evening, we utilised the patio area. You can really make the most of all the great spaces they have to offer. The communication leading up to the day was faultless, and the team were always on hand to answer any queries we had. They were so thorough, and the day itself ran seamlessly. We were so attentively looked after; if anything went wrong, we certainly didn't know about it! Thank you to the entire team, particularly Rachel, Paul, and Megan, with whom we had regular dealings. To sum it all up, the staff are wonderful, the venue is beautiful, the food was delicious, and the service was fab. We had the best day and would highly recommend this venue to everyone.

We got married here recently. What can we say? It was an amazing day!! All our friends and family commented on how beautiful the venue and grounds were. The food for both the day and evening was outstanding, and the staff was attentive to a rather large wedding! Megan and Teigan, on the morning of the wedding, couldn’t do enough for me and my bridal party. They kept me calm when the nerves got the better of me! One of the best decisions we’ve ever made was to get married at the Coed y Mwstwr. Upon entering its warm and welcoming lounge area, seeing the beautiful function rooms, and meeting their friendly and knowledgeable team, we knew that it was the perfect place for us and would be beautiful, whatever the weather. Throughout the whole planning process, the team was always quick to reply and keen to help with their responses to all our queries. Every supplier we spoke to who had worked there before said how brilliant the Coed y Mwstwr team is, and every conversation we had with them assured us that we were in safe hands. Our wedding day couldn’t have been more perfect. The ceremony took place in the Elliot Suite, which is such a beautiful room. Paul worked so hard on the day and was absolutely brilliant, ensuring we were happy with everything. Megan also did a fantastic job of guiding us and letting us know what to do every step of the way in the lead-up to the ceremony. The whole team went above and beyond to make the day completely seamless. The food was the best at any wedding we’ve been to, and we received many compliments from the guests. So many of our guests have said how relaxed and beautiful the day was, and for us, it truly was the best day of our lives. We would recommend the Coed y Mwstwr to anyone.

The minute we walked into Coed- Y- Mwstwr we knew this would be our wedding venue. We had planned to see a few more venues following Coed but as we were sitting in the foyer going over details both of us said that we did not want to visit anywhere else as we had a gut feeling about Coed. During the wedding planning, all of our questions were answered very quickly and fully. A question would pop into my head at 10 p.m., and when I woke the next morning, it would be answered!! All the meetings went really well, and Rachael made us feel completely at ease with everything. On the day, every single staff member was amazing! We felt so looked after from start to finish. We were made to feel so special and a priority to all the staff. This helped our day run completely smoothly and without a hitch. We were also very calm and at ease because of this! On the morning of the wedding, I had breakfast brought up to the room for myself and the maid of honour whilst the rest of the bridal party went down to the restaurant. Even little things like moving all of my things from the room I got ready in over to the Bridal Suite for the night were a huge help. Oliver went above and beyond on our wedding day and the night before during our family meal. His warmth and professionalism put us at ease and allowed us to enjoy every moment fully. Skye’s positive energy and genuine kindness made everyone feel welcome and well taken care of, adding a wonderful touch to our celebration. She even took time to approach myself (the bride) as she noticed I hadn’t been up to the evening buffet and put a plate up for me in the kitchen to grab when I wanted it. The venue itself is breathtaking, with so many beautiful photo opportunities. The moment our guests arrived, they were captivated by the charm and elegance of Coed-Y-Mwstwr. The Hendre Suite, where we held our ceremony, was the perfect place to get married. Its sophisticated décor and intimate atmosphere created an unforgettable setting for our vows. Where to start! From the moment we came across Coed-Y-Mwstwr Hotel we were captivated and immediately booked a show around. The drive to the grounds is simply stunning, and it was a shock to us that the first venue we found would be where we tied the knot! In comparison to other venues, we found ourselves constantly comparing and stating that CYM had this and that, and the layout/flow of the venue was perfect. Then we met Rachel who showed us around and helped visualise our day and how it would look at CYM (not many co-ordinators did this at other places...!) - following this, we just knew, it had to be CYM. The communication and planning from the whole team is flawless, there was nothing they couldn't help with or answer, they are truly incredible and I feel lucky to have had them working behind the scenes for our day. THE DAY! It was simply perfect, with the help of the team getting everything in the right place and how polite they were throughout the day, again, nothing was a problem and everyone was so helpful! Even with running to get me a tissue as I shed a nervous tissue before I walked down the aisle. I honestly cannot recommend this venue and the team highly enough - at every meeting and visit, we were always offered refreshments, and the whole team always had a smile on their face - they are miracle workers, and I am proud to have had our special day at CYM - I couldn't have imagined going anywhere else (coming from a Wedding Photographer who has seen a lot of venues across South Wales!) Thank you to all, but especially Rachel, for your hard work and constant help throughout the planning and our day.

The venue is stunning. We had so many compliments from our guests, who said how lovely it was. The wedding events team is excellent and always on hand if needed. The day itself went without a hitch, which was down to the coordination between the team. We had such a great day. The food was terrific, and no one went hungry, and all said how lovely it was. We got Married at Coed Y Mwstwr Hotel in March 2024 and we had the most amazing day! From first visiting the venue, through the whole wedding process and even now after the wedding, the team at Coed Y Mwstwr have been fantastic. Firstly, Coed Y Mwstwr Hotel itself is gorgeous and the grounds are beautiful. The lounge area is super cozy and relaxing with its lovely fire place. We had our ceremony in the Elliott Suite which is so elegant, we love the bright atmosphere of this 19th-century Victorian room. Our wedding breakfast and reception were in the Hendre Suite, again we love that it's bright and airy, with the exposed wooden beams. The bedrooms are beautifully decorated, each with their style and the honeymoon suite was fabulous. The team went above and beyond to allow us to have our dream wedding, no task was too big or too much. Our wedding food was delicious and all of our guests commented on how tasty everything was (especially the fudge). A big thank you to everyone at Coed Y Mwstwr for making our day so special. We can't wait to come back for our anniversary next year!

Beautiful venue for our winter wedding, resulting in a beautiful day and all around experience. The staff were friendly, professional, helpful and communicated extensively throughout the planning process - every detail was considered and executed to a tee, meaning that in the end our big day ran smoothly. Catered well for allergies and dietary requirements, and the food was fantastic with great feedback from our guests.

We had always known that we would want to get married at the Coed-Y-Mwstwr, but the team made it even more special than we could have imagined. The events team were so organised, polite, professional and really went out of their way to ensure our day was perfect. I can't believe how quickly the team responded to all of our requests and enquiries, and were a pleasure to plan our wedding with. The team helped us make our wedding into more of an event, with a dinner the night before and a Christmas Jumper Breakfast the day after. These two extra parts made the wedding feel so much longer and we got to enjoy more time with our friends and family. We have had so many comments about what an exceptional venue the Coed is, and also how efficiently it is run. The team on the day were incredible, friendly, polite and so efficient! The quality of the food on the day was fantastic. The reservations team was absolutely brilliant both over the phone and by email! Every single person we have spoken to has raved about the food, service and atmosphere of the hotel. We can't wait to come and visit again in the new year as a married couple and remember our special day.

We choose the Coed-y-Mwstwr Hotel for our wedding not only because of the beautiful setting but mainly because of the staff. From our very first visit to the hotel for a tour of the venue, right through to checking out the morning after the wedding, the staff have all been amazing. They were attentive and professional right through the process which helped make the whole wedding so easy and stress free. They did absolutely everything for us from setting up on the day to running the entire event so we could just relax and enjoy. Plus we felt they had really listened to us at our meetings and worked so hard on the day to make sure everything was as we had wished. They made you feel nothing was too much trouble for them. We cannot thank the team at the Coed enough for helping make our wedding absolutely perfect!

Our wedding day was everything that we wanted. The staff throughout the whole process were amazing! Communication was great, either in person, emails, or phone calls. Any questions we had, they knew the answer right away or would let us know later that day. Any requests we had for our day were met. The day itself, the staff couldn't have done more for us. They kept checking in with me and the husband throughout the day to see if there was anything we wanted or to change anything before the guests came in, and they helped to guide us and the guests throughout the day, even in the evening, staff were there if we had any questions or requests. The bars always had a staff member on so quick service. All in all, amazing day, we and the rest of the wedding guests couldn't stop singing the praises of Coed. We definitely made the right choice and everyone kept commenting on how amazing the grounds were. We will definitely return for our wedding anniversary in years to come.
