We had our civil wedding at 1880 Suite, and we really enjoyed our day. The event manager was really helpful and replied to our messages quickly. She also ensured that everything was organised before the big day. The restaurant manager, who was the lead organiser that day, also ensured that our request was addressed from the room temperature to serving the meal on time. The food was really lovely. Overall, our experience with Clayton Hotel Ballsbridge was positive, truly worth the price and would highly recommend.

When we got engaged, we knew we wanted a city wedding. We both have big families, so knew we needed a bigger venue. We looked at a total of 8 wedding venues in Dublin that would fit our needs. One of the biggest issues in Dublin is that most venues are conference halls, and the bar is in a different room. We knew we didn't want the party split between 2 rooms. When we walked into the Clayton in Ballsbridge, we knew this was the place we wanted to get married in. The staff were just so lovely and knew exactly the vibe we were going for. Every time we came to visit, it was so special. We had an incredible food tasting and made a night of it with both of our parents. We tasted every wine on the menu and every possible food option. The chef took notes, and we got to design a menu that we wanted, which was incredible. On the day, everyone couldn't stop talking about the food and the service; it really was perfect. The room itself is gorgeous, with so much history. The tables/ chairs/ linens/ candelabras were all perfect, and I didn't need to spend anything on decorations. Macha was so attentive; she made the process so stress-free. We loved that there was enough room for all our friends and family to stay in the hotel. It was lovely to all have breakfast together the next morning. I couldn't fault our experience and would whole-heartedly recommend the Clayton Ballsbridge as a wedding venue for anyone getting married. I wish I could do it all over again!

We truly couldn’t have been happier with the care and love shown to us on our wedding day (and before) by the staff at the Clayton hotel Ballsbridge. From our initial contact to the big day itself, the staff couldn’t have done enough to help us ensure that every aspect of our wedding went off without a hitch. The wedding coordinator and her team were available to us non-stop throughout the planning process and helped guide us with practical advice to enrich our big day. Our welcoming reception took place on the lawn under the newly added awning. This meant even the Irish weather couldn’t dampen our spirits. The Thomas Prior Hall was the perfect setting for our wedding, offering the class and elegance we were looking for at one of the most reasonable prices we found. The menu for the wedding was phenomenal. From our personal tasting with the chef right up to the big day, the quality of the food was something we and our guests continue to talk about! The offered wines were delicious too. Thanks to the staff at Clayton Hotel Ballsbridge we managed to avoid all of the expected stresses of the day and were able to truly focus on each other. We couldn’t recommend this venue enough to those looking for an A class service at a totally reasonable price.

We felt so well looked after from start to end and couldn't have asked for a better experience. Our guests loved it, the setting was beautiful and the food was exceptional. The weather was perfect, the setting was beautiful, and our guests loved being able to enjoy drinks and music outside. It really set the tone for the whole day. The food was exceptional - we received so many compliments from our guests, and the service throughout the day was flawless. Everything ran seamlessly thanks to the incredible team behind the scenes. We had a wonderful wedding in the Clayton Hotel. Our service was held here. Unfortunately, it was raining on the day but we did get a break to get some photos taken outside. We were really looked after and Danielle and staff went out of their way to make the day and our stay there for the weekend so special. We had guests from abroad who really enjoyed their weekend there, and not only the restaurant food but bar food also. They also loved having plenty of refills of tea and coffee before, during and after the service . All in all, I would not hesitate to recommend the Clayton Hotel as one of the best value hotels around the area for room charge and food. Not to mention ambiance and wonderful staff. We had a truly fantastic experience at Thomas Prior Hall for our wedding. Even prior to the day, in dealing with the venue to discuss logistics, food etc., it was a delight. On the day, the staff were truly excellent…kind, patient and could not do any more for us…and that’s even before we talk about the beauty of the venue. Overall, the day was exceptional and the guests loved it all thanks to the staff and their focus to make everything perfect for our species day! Thank you so much for making such amazing memories!

The Thomas Prior Hall at the Clayton Hotel was a dream location for our wedding celebration! The room itself is gorgeous, but it is truly the staff that made our event so special and so much fun! The event team was very attentive to our needs, and our captain made sure the dinner ran smoothly. The food was fantastic, from the passed hors d'oeuvres to the sandwiches for the afters and especially the sit-down dinner. From cocktails in the lounge till dancing after midnight, every moment was a true joy. Our guests loved staying at the hotel, not only for the convenience but for the location close to transportation, food, and shopping. The grounds are beautiful and make an excellent backdrop for photos. I cannot say enough about the Clayton Hotel and its staff. We had a truly wonderful wedding weekend!

We had our wedding at Thomas Prior Hall on the 17th of May 2025, and we honestly couldn’t have chosen a more perfect venue. From the very beginning, the team were incredibly helpful and supportive throughout the entire planning process. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and every question was answered with care and professionalism. On the day itself, my husband and I didn’t have to worry about a single thing. The staff were so attentive, calm, and organised, allowing us to fully relax and enjoy every moment. The venue itself is absolutely stunning and created the most beautiful backdrop for our day. We’re so grateful to the entire team at Thomas Prior Hall for making our wedding seamless, stress-free, and truly unforgettable. We couldn’t recommend it more highly.

Everyone was incredible from start to finish. The hotel was given very short notice for our wedding, and played an absolute blinder. The whole event was very special. Every little detail was covered, from wonderful canapes to tasteful decor in the room. I was also very impressed the way the event felt intimate despite taking place in a very busy hotel. We couldn't have asked for more.

100/10! We had the most perfect wedding here. The Clayton/Thomas Prior Hall is such a good location and venue. The staff were incredible and they did an amazing job. We had both the ceremony and reception in the Thomas Prior Hall and the way the room transformed was incredible. The staff were also so accommodating with our external vendors which took a lot of stress off us. Everyone was raving about the location as we had a lot of family traveling internationally and the bus stop direct from the airport was a huge perk. People local als- found the spot to be super handy to get to! It was also so nice that our guests could stay on site. I would highly recommend this venue if you want a stress free and fun wedding! Thanks again to the staff that made this possible!

I honestly felt the whole thing went so smoothly, the food was amazing and the staff was so helpful. I cannot remember the kitchen manager's name but she was so lovely and helpful for the entire meal. I'd love to say a massive thank you to Helen as well, she got a mention in Phil's speech too. She was so chilled and helpful on the day and during the prep. And a massive thank you to Richard, the food was amazing. The whole day and night were great, the hall was great and our room was great. We have had such great feedback from the guests too about how lovely the whole setup is in the hotel. And a massive thank you to you and Ana for all the work behind the scenes and organization. We appreciate it. Every staff member was just brilliant. I'm not sure about the woman at reception name that walked us out with the umbrellas yourself but she was always so helpful too.

We had an absolutely ball but more importantly so did our guests. The food tasting gave us a real insight into the standard. The wine tasting took time as we took this very seriously but Victor helped us out on 3 occasions. Macha was very prompt with responses, Colette was always friendly and both were on the ball asking questions which we wouldn’t have thought of. Finally the staff on the day were always willing to answer and fulfil any guests needs.

We’ve managed to talk to nearly everyone who attended the wedding now at this stage Absolutely everyone was BLOWN AWAY by the food – especially those who had the beef. Everyone who had it was amazed that each and every piece came out perfectly cooked. The staff on the day were incredibly helpful, from greeting me at the car when I arrived to recommending when I (the bride) should enter the room to walk up the aisle. I was about to gallop up after the bridesmaid when they said I should let her get half way up so I could have “my moment”. Once the ceremony was finished we were greeted with a glass of prosecco each which was so nice and very much appreciated! We didn’t even notice the changeover of the room from the ceremony to the reception which just goes to show how professional everyone was and then for the evening portion of the wedding, the food came out so seamlessly it was like it was delivered by ninjas! When everything was finished & we came back to the hotel to pick up our bits, everything had been packed away for us for collection. I couldn’t recommend the hotel enough and while it’s a stunning venue it’s the staff that really made it special for us.

My husband and I couldn’t recommend Thomas Prior Hall more highly as a wedding venue. Our guests were very complimentary about the quality of food and the service received. We are in full agreement. We loved the location of the building and also it’s architectural beauty. The layout of the Thomas Prior Hall and the way different areas are run worked perfectly for us. The acoustics were also excellent. We had our ceremony and reception in the hall with our drinks reception in the grandstand courtyard. There are lovely spots to take photos in the garden too. Our guests were also very happy with the hotel rooms in the Clayton Hotel (linked to the hall). The bridal suite was perfect. Our needs were accommodated in every way-be it early check in, Hall access for decoration, cake cutting, wheelchair access, mics... We had a great party and loved every minute.

We had the most amazing day. Thank you all so much we were really blown away. We were delighted by the whole day. All the staff were amazing. Thank you and all the events team for all your time and organising. Ye made it all so easy. The food was gorgeous- people were so impressed. The staff on for the reception and the dining room were all fantastic. Graham did a brilliant job and sorted out the microphone and mother's gifts so quickly.

Our first visit to Clayton Hotel Ballsbridge was July 2018. As we stood outside we knew immediately that this was the place we wanted to get married and have our reception. During our visit we spoke to the wedding coordinator. She was extremely helpful and professional. Upon returning home we set the date. We returned in April for the tasting and other necessary arrangements were made. Everything went very smoothly as we prepared to get married. We arrived a few days before as did several guests. The reception staff were outstanding and friendly helping us with details. Answering questions. We had on Friday dinner reservations for 18 of us. The food and service was outstanding. On our wedding day Nichole made sure everything was perfect. The Thomas Pyor hall was stunning. We loved the way the cake was displayed. With the lights. Our meal was delicious. The presentation was perfect. No words can express how happy we are with every detail. Thank you for taking care of us. We look forward to our 1 year anniversary at the Clayton.

We didn't originally want to have our wedding in a hotel but with the numbers, we had it would have been tricky to use a restaurant or other venue. Thomas Prior Hall was a great middle way with a lovely, characterful old venue coupled with all the convenience of a hotel. They do everything so you don't have to worry about much at all. We were looked after really well by Thomas Prior Hall- we couldn't fault them. Nicole was our contact point throughout and was fantastic to deal with. Really efficient and steered us ably through all the decisions that had to be made. We particularly appreciated her advice on stuff like timings and decorations- she was very down to earth and we liked also that she never pushed extras on us- we just felt that she was invested in our day and wanted us to have the best possible time. She was very patient also with our last-minute requests and the height of professionalism. The food and wine options were good and the hotel allowed us to choose some off-menu dishes to reflect my husband's Polish roots, which was a nice touch. On the night everything went smoothly and we appreciated how the staff kept in touch with us at each stage of the evening to check everything was ok.

Ok...so where do I start??? We had the most amazing day!! And it could not have been done without the amazing people at Clayton Hotel in Ballsbridge. It all started maybe 8-10months before we were to get married. We chatted with Nicole Berkery who is so lovely to deal with. She was so easy to communicate with and we felt that she really listened to what we had to say. We met for a gorgeous menu tasting and really made the most of it. We got to taste various wines and got to have a look at what the dishes would look like on the day. The chef (Martin, I think his name was (apologies if I got it wrong)) was professional and came to talk to us about the meal plan. The service was also great during our meal tasting. Patryk served us on that night and he was so friendly! When it started coming closer to the day we met with Nicole again and we went through the final arrangements. Again she was so professional and so lovely. On the day, everything went so smoothly. There were no hiccups...well none that I was told about:) All the food came out lovely, got great feedback from all the guests. My display tables looked perfect. The venue was gorgeous! Everybody was so delighted! Nicole and my sister also secretly organised a projector for her speech. I was just so so happy about everything! I really couldn't have asked for a better venue. I would highly recommend this place. Myself and my husband had an amazing time and we wouldn't change a thing!

Just a short note to thank you so much for arranging the wonderful time we had in the Clayton BB last Friday. Everything was great - the room, table decorations, and of course the lovely meal. I have to give a special mention to Patrik and all the staff who were extremely efficient and also very friendly. It was a pleasure dealing with you from our very first meeting, and I told Andrew and Grita how helpful you were in organising everything. Both Jóhannes and I would like to note that we were very happy with the hotel, the staff and how the wedding event itself was executed. The service was excellent and we are not aware of any guests whose needs were not met. The hotel presented our event and itself to a very high standard, and Jóhannes and I were very happy. From the reception staff to the waiting staff at the event itself, there was a clear customer service ethic being demonstrated. Special mention for making sure the support was there until the end of the night should go to Matthew who was completely on the ball, with small touches as bringing cake to guests in the lobby etc. On a different note, the DJ provided by the hotel was brilliant, and definitely a supplier to recommend. Additionally, we very much appreciate the organisation and attention to detail that Nicole brought to the event planning, and it was certainly in evidence with the smooth running of the event overall.

They were always there & ready to answer any questions we had, They made every stage of the planning so easy especially as we we planning everything from the UK. They were there on day, from the moment I arrived to late into the evening making sure everything ran to plan! The day went better then we could ever imagine! The room was set up beautifully for both the ceremony and the meal! The food was out of this world and all our guests commented on how much they enjoyed their meal! The staff were incredible, nothing was too much trouble for them and everyone was so well looked after for the whole weekend!! This was are perfect venue for many reasons but our day was made so magical and better than anything we could have imagined by the amazing job of all the staff!
