Absolutely recommend!! My husband and I had our wedding here in August 2023 and had an absolutely fabulous day. We had approximately 100 guests, and a lot of them stayed at the hotel. We had a humanist ceremony in the function room that was decorated just stunningly for us with the venue decorations and a few extra bits from ‘To Have and to Hold’. After the ceremony, we had the drinks reception on the patio, which was laid out beautifully, and we were blessed with gorgeous weather. The lawn in front of the hotel overlooking the water was the backdrop for some of our wedding photos, which turned out so well. The staff were so nice, helpful and efficient. The food was outstanding, but our friends still remark on it frequently (we opted for the fillet steak and cod). The wine was lovely and in full flow. The small touches make a big difference and when we returned from taking photos at the old head one of the photos was printed in colour on everyone’s menu, this was a huge hit among guests. We had a great evening and danced the night away. The Tayto sandwiches in the resident's bar were also another big hit! The wedding coordinator, Ian, was so calm and collected. Nothing was too much of an ask, and he thought of everything! All in all, it was a fabulous experience. The food was gorgeous, and the venue was stunning. I had a great day.

We had our wedding in Actons on June 1st, 2023. We could not fault one thing! We had a small wedding and they made us feel so comfortable when other venues wouldn’t even consider a small wedding Actons didn’t think twice. From start to finish they got everything perfect. Ian was amazing he was on hand for anything we needed. We honestly didn’t have a clue what we were doing organizing a wedding but Ian was extremely helpful suggesting time frames and ideas etc the food was amazing and the staff were excellent as I said I couldn’t fault one thing! I would 100% recommend Actons for your big day!

I have no words for how amazing our wedding day was, all thanks to Actons Hotel and to Ian Eaton in particular! The entire planning and organising of the wedding was a joy. Absolutely nothing was a problem, Ian and Actons Hotel were more than happy to help us with anything we needed. I can’t thank them enough. The build up and the day itself was so smooth and fun, it’s what everyone would hope for when planning such a big event: the hotel staff, the rooms, absolutely everything was perfect. It was the most relaxed environment which really allowed for everyone to just completely enjoy themselves. I wish I could do it all again. Ian is a superstar and we’re so grateful that we were lucky enough to work with him for our big day.

Ian and the team at Actons Hotel were amazing from our very first meeting to the day of our wedding. We planned the wedding from Australia and never had a single worry about the reception as we knew we were in Ian's capable hands. He made it stress free which i didn't think was possible! Ian and the team went out of their way to make us feels special and nothing was too difficult for them. They went above and beyond what we could have expected. Many of our guested commented on how impressed they were with the food and service at our wedding and how they found it much better than some of the five star hotels they had been to recently for weddings. From the initial planning stages of our wedding, right through to the day itself, everything ran seamlessly. We had our wedding in July this year. We were in consultation with Ian before the wedding and he was more than helpful, and went out of his way to make sure our special day went off without a hitch, which it did. I would also like to compliment the staff, who are very well mannered, courteous and very helpful on the day to us and our guests. I don’t think the venue needs much praise as it's an absolute “gem” in the middle of Kinsale, with everything on its doorstep.

From start to finish the Wedding experience at Actons Hotel is top notch! Ian is incredible, he quite literally helped me make a to-do list when we started planning the wedding. A big bonus for us was that the drinks reception and the main function room is in different locations but still close enough. The food was absolutely gorgeous and our guests loved it, from the cookies at reception to the evening food. The staff were incredible and we honestly can’t thank them all enough. Many of our guests stayed in Actons and Fidelma was so good to us when looking after us and them. No issue was too big or too small for them to help with. We had a amazing wedding at Actons. From the moment we began planning our day, Ian could have not done more to take any hassle out of organising the big day for us! Ian was so easy going yet on top of everything, he made the whole lead up to the big day very enjoyable for us both. Come the day, everything was even better than we could have imagined. In preparation for the day, Ian the lovely wedding coordinator was so helpful, organised and always readily available to answer any of our questions. If you are even considering booking Actons for your wedding - just do it !! Their wedding coordinator, Ian is the most fantastic you will find. He is a seasoned professional and easily demonstrated this throughout the 2 years we spent planning our day. From the first day we met with Ian, we knew he would have everything under control - he is the height of organisation! Nothing was too much to ask and when things went wrong on the day (such as the bride being very late - not recommended!) - he kept us calm and kept the day moving along so nobody would notice. The location is obviously fantastic, with so much choice of where to go for your photos - but this would not even place first or second on the list we would give you of why to choose Actons for your wedding day. The food is absolutely divine - all of our guests came back to us with compliments about the food, particularly those with special dietary requirements who were very well catered for. Every single member of staff were so helpful and kind and went out of their way to make sure everyone enjoyed their day. The rooms in the hotel are absolutely stunning and so comfortable. The wedding packages in Actons are amazing value and take a lot of the pressure off when planning as there is so much included from food and drinks to decor and other little touches like the table plan - this really took a lot of things off our “to do” list. Our wedding day was well and truly the most amazing day and it is all thanks to the wonderful staff at Actons - thank you so much for your fantastic work and all your help. If we could give you all a 100 hundred star rating it still wouldn’t be enough!

Could not recommend Actons enough. We were originally due to get married in May 2020 but after a couple of date changes due to the pandemic we finally had our day this year. Ian and the team couldn't do enough to help us rearrange numerous times. Our wedding weekend was just amazing from check in to check out. The food and service was simply amazing, our guests are still raving about the whole weekend. We would recommend Actons in a heart beat to anyone considering their wedding in Kinsale. Ian and the Actons team were great from day one. We had to rearrange our wedding three times due to Covid but the team made it easy each time. We were planning our wedding from abroad which can be tricky at times but there was always someone at the other end of the phone to help. On the day of the wedding everything ran smoothly even though the bridal party were a bit late. : ) All of our guests commented on how good the food and service was. Those who are in the industry were very impressed with how Ian organised and coordinated the team for the meal. As one guest put it "It was like a well oiled machine". I would highly recommend having a wedding at Actons. The attention to detail, can do attitude and friendliness of the staff made it the most memorable day of our lives. I do not think that I could leave a review that would justify how great Ian & the team at Actons Hotel were for our wedding! From the time we met Ian at the initial meeting, we felt that it was the perfect venue and Ian would be amazing to deal with. We had to postpone our wedding three times as a result of Covid and Ian was quick to respond to any queries that we had and guided us through planning each time we had to postpone - nothing was too much for him. The hotel itself is set in a beautiful location and the hotels surroundings are gorgeous, especially the beer garden which a lot of guests were a fan of. The food was tasty and came out promptly and Ian ensured that I had extra portions of potato gratin, a big favourite of mine. He was also willing to make any slight changes that we required for food or drinks. The suite we stayed in was spacious and felt luxurious. I would highly recommend Ian & Actons for any wedding - to be honest it was the first and only venue that we visited as we knew it was perfect!

We had our wedding in Actons Hotel in August. Everything was perfect from start to finish. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Nothing was a problem. The room and outside area were set up perfectly on the day and Ian the manager listened to everything we wanted which made the run up to the wedding stress free. We also had our day 2 in the hotel which was equally as amazing. We would highly recommend Actons Hotel as the setting is beautiful and the hotel is perfect for a brilliant wedding day!!

Actons Hotel was the most amazing venue for our wedding. Ian Eaton and his team should be in the business of teaching people how to organise a wedding. If I could give the hotel 10 stars I would. The food, the ambience, the management of all details was top class. It was the best decision we made when picking that hotel. We will be forever grateful for the fantastic memories of the hotel and its staff on our special day.

It is very hard to know where to start when it comes to the service and professionalism we received from Ian and all the team at Actons Hotel. It was nothing more than top class. My husband and I, from the minute we booked the hotel until the day we left after our wedding received nothing but the best of attention from Actons. Nothing was too much. We decided to view Actions as we had been to other hotels around Cork County and all fell short on one thing or another, on Meeting with Ian and seeing the hotel and the great packages they had on offer we decided to go with the hotel. From that moment Ian was always on hand to ask questions or give advice. He was really outstanding and made the planning process a lot easier with his help. I had a few extra asks and he accommodated every single one without any trouble. I, my bridesmaids, and my mother stayed the night before the wedding. The bedrooms were outstanding and the newly decorated rooms were so beautiful. The staff were just excellent to deal with and did everything they could to make the evening relaxed and enjoyable. On the Wedding Day, Ian was at hand to deal with the suppliers and manage the comings and going for the setup. He also was on hand for anything we needed as we got ready. The room was set up beautifully by Ian and To Have and to Hold for the Ceremony and the Dinner. A lot of guests commented on how beautiful it was. We had our speeches in the little garden and it was just beautiful and very relaxed. The food in the drinks reception and dinner was perfect and the staff were so attentive to our guests. Again we got lots of comments on how brilliant the staff was at the dinner and at the bar. Overall from booking to the end of the wedding the experience we had was one of excellence and the standard of service was 5 stars. I would highly recommend the hotel to any future brides and grooms. There is not one bad thing to say about Actons. Everything went without a hitch and we knew we were in the best hands possible. Ian is the most amazing wedding coordinator. Once we met with him and saw the hotel, we cancelled every other viewing. Throughout the lockdown and two postponements, he was thoroughly supportive and did his best to cater for us. Unlike other venues, there was no increase in price or changes to our contract. Everything was as agreed on that very first day. And it’s not just about quantity at Actons, the quality is above and beyond what you could ever hope for. We didn’t hear one bad comment about anything provided on the day. We also had a lot of guests from outside Ireland and they were just in love with the place. Every staff member we crossed paths with was amazing and I really felt they couldn’t do enough for us. I’ll never forget our big day and highly recommend Actons as a wedding venue.
