Ian was amazing to work with. He and the team at Actons made our day so easy; they were so accommodating. All our guests remarked on how much they loved the wedding weekend in Actons. The food was perfect, and the service was impeccable. The rooms were all spacious and modern. Ian made a special effort to accommodate our families in rooms that really met their needs, e.g., for babies. We would 100% recommend Actons, Ian and their team, as a wedding venue.

From the first meeting with Ian Eaton, we felt in safe hands. The communication was excellent, and he kept an eye on the timeline, chasing us up when we needed to make decisions. On the day of our wedding, our wedding venue was even more beautiful than we had thought. The special requests we had were materialised by the lovely staff of Acton's Hotel. The room was beautifully decorated, better than we had envisaged. The coordination from reception to the celebration was smooth, leaving ample time for people to relax in between and enjoy meeting and greeting. We still have people saying how much they enjoyed the dinner, which was plentiful and varied and catered for everyone. We had omnivores, pescatarians, vegans, and vegetarians, all of whom enjoyed their meal. We suggest that a sound system be available in the venue so the music can be heard during the bride's entrance. We had a lovely day celebrating at Acton’s in Kinsale. The staff were so friendly and professional. Nothing was a problem. In the run-up to the day, Ian had everything organised the way we wanted. He was in contact with us throughout the whole process. The menu tasting was lovely, and any changes we wanted were no issue. We got married in Acton's hotel last October, and they were amazing to deal with, so obliging and helpful with anything we requested. Ian was amazing to deal with; he was so professional and so helpful. He had every fine detail done for us. From start to finish, our day went so smoothly. We couldn’t have picked a better location for our wedding, it was just the most amazing day and that was because of the help from Ian and the staff at Acton's hotel.

Well, what can I say...Our whole experience with Ian and the Actons team was just a dream from start to finish. Ian is the ultimate professional; he was funny & calm, intuitive and organised. I am not from Kinsale, and was organising my wedding from Limerick. With 2 small children, I had very little time on my hands to give to the big day. Ian was so quick to reply to every email and call. The day from to start to finish absolutely exceeded every expectation. The hotel itself is gorgeous, and the bridal suite (and its views) was just WOW. All our guests were absolutely spoiled with great service and gorgeous food & drink. Some booked an extra few days and enjoyed a mini holiday. We had the best weekend of our lives. From that first phone call to the big moment when Ian walked me from the bridal suite right down to the aisle, it was a wonderful experience. From our first meeting with Ian, we knew Actons Hotel Kinsale was the wedding venue for us. We were extremely impressed with the wedding package and all that Actons has to offer. It is a stunning hotel in a great location. We always felt looked after, and Ian was never phased with any of our requests or queries. All of the staff were very attentive, friendly and accommodating. It was clear that everyone cared about making our day unforgettable. Every stage of the day flowed seamlessly. We received so many compliments from our guests on everything from the drink's reception to the food. Everything was beautifully presented and delicious. It was such a special day that we and all of our guests thoroughly enjoyed. We feel so grateful to have chosen Actons for our wedding reception and would wholeheartedly recommend it to any couple looking for an exceptional wedding experience.

We couldn’t have been more delighted with our wedding day in Actons. We knew we were in great hands with Ian and the team from the get go. Ian’s vast experience really shines through and we had every confidence that our day would be nothing less than perfect. We had quite a few visitors from overseas and the were really impressed by the setting, helped as well by a rare sunny October day! Ian and the entire team at Actons Hotel were fantastic throughout the entire process. Ian was very approachable and no request was too much trouble. There was no stress with regards to the venue, Ian went above and beyond to ensure everything was how we wanted it and everything ran smoothly. Ian, Eilish and all the staff at Acton’s Hotel were amazing from start to finish. From our initial meeting with Ian to our Big Day, nothing was a problem. He was a pleasure to deal with and always on the other end of the phone. The venue itself was spectacular, and the location really adds to the ambience. The staff really pay attention to the little details that make your day so special. On the day, Ian went above and beyond to make sure our guests were looked after, even ensuring there was food for a few late comers! Knowing Ian and his team were there meant we could relax and enjoy our day - we knew everything was in exceptionally capable hands. There’s not a thing we would change about our day, and could not recommend Acton’s Hotel highly enough.

We would highly recommend Ian and the hotel staff in Actons. From our first viewing of the hotel, Ian couldn't have been more helpful. Ian was always fantastic with contact, always replying to phone calls or emails as quick as possible. Any queries or issue we had, he sorted us straight away. He made the wedding planning process for us an enjoyable one.

We got married at Actons Hotel in Kinsale and had the best day. The hotel is beautiful and Kinsale was the perfect town for everyone to gather around the wedding. The team there are all so great at what they do and in particular, Ian was exceptional — kind, thoughtful and made all the difference. Everything was calm and under control, and I felt him kind of minding us through the day. The food was all beautiful from the reception to the dinner (have the chowder!) and the late night treats, the craic was mighty, and every detail was handled with care by a lovely team. We’ve since returned for our anniversary and loved reliving it all. We absolutely recommend Actons for weddings and a place to stay - thanks to everyone and best of luck to all future couples who get hitched there :)

We had our wedding back in April 24 in the stunning Actons Hotel Kinsale. We had the best day - everything was perfect and exceeded our expectations. From the beginning, Ian and the whole team were incredibly professional, organised, and attentive to every detail. The guests are still raving about how amazing the food and service was. The whole process was stress free and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the day. 5 stars!!!

We got married in Acton’s in June 2024 and it was absolute perfection from start to finish. From the day we booked our wedding to the big day itself, Ian and all the staff could not have done any more to make the day perfect. Ian’s attention to detail is second to none and he is as cool and calm as they come which really made myself and my husband feel at ease the entire way through. From the menu tasting, where we were treated like VIPs to the day itself, we couldn’t have been better looked after. The food was 10/10. I never saw so much food from the drinks reception to the meal and then the late night food, plentiful hot and most importantly delicious and fresh. The venue was absolutely spotless and looked like something from a magazine on our big day. I gave Ian all our props and he set it up meticulously, he literally did every single thing without even needing to be asked- just so stunning. We had our ceremony in the hotel also and I can’t believe it was the same room we had the meal and how quick it was turned over, it was just all perfect. The waiting staff are a credit to Acton’s for such a young cohort, the level of attention to detail and respect they showed was phenomenal. I just can’t fault our experience in any way. My only fault is how fast the day went and how I can’t do it again because it was the best day, better than we could have ever imagined!

From the very start, Ian, the conference & banqueting manager, was incredible - calm, organised, and always one step ahead. He completely took the stress out of the planning process, and the support from him and the team throughout was outstanding. The food was absolutely delicious and served seamlessly, with all guests served at the same time. This was something many of our guests still comment on. Our outdoor drinks reception with canapés was a real highlight, set in such a lovely atmosphere. The food tasting beforehand was also a special evening that made us even more excited for the day. The function room looked beautiful, freshly painted and perfectly laid out, and the team were so accommodating with our large numbers. A particularly thoughtful touch was Ian taking a photo of us with our wedding cake on the day and having it printed on the menus for our guests. It was such a personal detail that meant a lot. Our bridal suite was spacious, spotless, and a perfect place to relax after the celebrations. Many of our guests stayed in the hotel and all mentioned how friendly and pleasant the staff were, as well as how much they enjoyed their stay. We also had our Day 2 in Acton's which was a BBQ, drinks and music. The food again, we could not fault it. So delicious and the compliments from our guests were the exact same as our wedding day. Acton’s Hotel played a huge part in making our wedding day so special, and we’re so grateful to Ian and the entire team. We would recommend them without hesitation. They pulled out all the stops and anything we asked for they made happen.
