We would highly recommend Ian and the hotel staff in Actons. From our first viewing of the hotel, Ian couldn't have been more helpful. Ian was always fantastic with contact, always replying to phone calls or emails as quick as possible. Any queries or issue we had, he sorted us straight away. He made the wedding planning process for us an enjoyable one.

We got married at Actons Hotel in Kinsale and had the best day. The hotel is beautiful and Kinsale was the perfect town for everyone to gather around the wedding. The team there are all so great at what they do and in particular, Ian was exceptional — kind, thoughtful and made all the difference. Everything was calm and under control, and I felt him kind of minding us through the day. The food was all beautiful from the reception to the dinner (have the chowder!) and the late night treats, the craic was mighty, and every detail was handled with care by a lovely team. We’ve since returned for our anniversary and loved reliving it all. We absolutely recommend Actons for weddings and a place to stay - thanks to everyone and best of luck to all future couples who get hitched there :)

We had our wedding back in April 24 in the stunning Actons Hotel Kinsale. We had the best day - everything was perfect and exceeded our expectations. From the beginning, Ian and the whole team were incredibly professional, organised, and attentive to every detail. The guests are still raving about how amazing the food and service was. The whole process was stress free and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the day. 5 stars!!!

We got married in Acton’s in June 2024 and it was absolute perfection from start to finish. From the day we booked our wedding to the big day itself, Ian and all the staff could not have done any more to make the day perfect. Ian’s attention to detail is second to none and he is as cool and calm as they come which really made myself and my husband feel at ease the entire way through. From the menu tasting, where we were treated like VIPs to the day itself, we couldn’t have been better looked after. The food was 10/10. I never saw so much food from the drinks reception to the meal and then the late night food, plentiful hot and most importantly delicious and fresh. The venue was absolutely spotless and looked like something from a magazine on our big day. I gave Ian all our props and he set it up meticulously, he literally did every single thing without even needing to be asked- just so stunning. We had our ceremony in the hotel also and I can’t believe it was the same room we had the meal and how quick it was turned over, it was just all perfect. The waiting staff are a credit to Acton’s for such a young cohort, the level of attention to detail and respect they showed was phenomenal. I just can’t fault our experience in any way. My only fault is how fast the day went and how I can’t do it again because it was the best day, better than we could have ever imagined!

We had our wedding reception at Acton’s Hotel last year and genuinely couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the very start, Ian, the conference & banqueting manager, was incredible - calm, organised, and always one step ahead. He completely took the stress out of the planning process, and the support from him and the team throughout was outstanding. The food was absolutely delicious and served seamlessly, with all guests served at the same time. This was something many of our guests still comment on. Our outdoor drinks reception with canapés was a real highlight, set in such a lovely atmosphere. The food tasting beforehand was also a special evening that made us even more excited for the day. The function room looked beautiful, freshly painted and perfectly laid out, and the team were so accommodating with our large numbers. A particularly thoughtful touch was Ian taking a photo of us with our wedding cake on the day and having it printed on the menus for our guests. It was such a personal detail that meant a lot. Our bridal suite was spacious, spotless, and a perfect place to relax after the celebrations. Many of our guests stayed in the hotel and all mentioned how friendly and pleasant the staff were, as well as how much they enjoyed their stay. We also had our Day 2 in Acton's which was a BBQ, drinks and music. The food again, we could not fault it. So delicious and the compliments from our guests were the exact same as our wedding day. Acton’s Hotel played a huge part in making our wedding day so special, and we’re so grateful to Ian and the entire team. We would recommend them without hesitation. They pulled out all the stops and anything we asked for they made happen.

Having considered numerous locations for our wedding, the choice we ultimately made with Actons was inspired. Not only was the venue amazing, but the way in which Ian went out of his way to make everything perfect on the day was incredible. He proved to be a true professional in the execution of his duties and his kind, caring and inspirational personality made not alone our wedding day exceptional for us, but also for all our guests. He is absolutely fabulous! In addition, the hotel staff and management were so accommodating and ensured that our every need was met, which made our day so special. The food and service was superb (which completely matched our experience during the tasting), and we received so many compliments on the quality of the food and service from our guests. The accommodation impressed every one of the wedding party - between the comfort, decor and general ambience. This hotel is a must for anyone who is staying in Kinsale for any period of time. From start to finish everything was absolutely top class, the setting, the organisation, the food, and especially the staff. He was professional, calm, incredibly helpful and made the whole process completely stress-free (which is no small miracle when planning a wedding!). Nothing was too much trouble and everything ran perfectly on the day. The staff were outstanding, friendly, attentive and genuinely lovely to deal with. Our guests are still talking about how beautiful the venue was and how well looked after they were. If you’re thinking of getting married here, do it. From start to finish, the services and treatment of the staff of Actons hotel was 5 star. From their completive rate and outstanding food and service They could not do enough for our guests, Finnan and myself. All our guests keep saying it was one of the most relaxing wedding they were ever at, which made it one of the most enjoyable weddings. This I know for a fact was down to Ian and the rest of the staff on the day. They also were extremely helpful leading up to the wedding with assigned parking as my aunts and uncles are older and were worried about parking. Nothing we asked of Ian and the staff of Actons hotel was too much, from helping with flowers and decorations to the wedding cake. Even take Finnan and myself on our own for a few minutes before the meal, this added to the whole experience just to relax together for a while and take the whole experience up to that point in . It is the small things that all add up, from simply telling us the name of a whiskey my cousins from Boston really enjoyed so they could source it over there. It’s truly a treasure to have a hotel like Actons right on our doorstep, with a great welcoming atmosphere and service and dining experience, no one else could beat this hotel in our opinion.

Acton’s Hotel, Kinsale, what can I say? From the minute we booked our wedding, the staff could not be more accommodating. Massive appreciation for Ian. Ian was on hand at all times, whether it was by email or phone, he sorted absolutely everything for us. Ian made sure everything we wanted for our big day was sorted without hesitation, an absolute gent. This is the wedding coordinator everyone needs for their big day. He takes all the stress off. He could not make you feel more at ease with all the planning for your big day. The food, I don’t know where to start, from our menu tasting, it was absolutely beautiful the food. We brought our kids along with us for this and the staff could not be more accommodating. Everything they asked for, they got. On the big day, the food was the same, everything we went for was served with no errors. Could not recommend the beef enough, absolutely gorgeous. All our guests had the same thing to say about the food” OMG the food” was the comment we had off all our guests all night long. The rooms were spotless. Very spacious, the bridal suite is incredible. For anyone booking their big day, I would not shy away from Acton’s. I can guarantee you will not be disappointed. We had our wedding in Actons in August 2024. Ian Eaton and everyone in Actons were amazing from start to finish. We knew immediately after viewing the hotel we would have our wedding there - Ian was really helpful, approachable and is just amazing at his job. From viewing, to the menu tasting and to the day itself, he was always there. He anticipated what may be needed before we even knew ourselves and was just a really positive experience throughout. His experience was evident and his ability to read people resulted in an amazing day. Everyone commented on how great the food was, and how efficient and lovely the staff were. I’m sure our day was made better because of the seamless organisation and experience we had in Actons with Ian. We are so glad we had our wedding at Actons, life has been really busy since but we are really looking forward to getting back soon for a visit. We cannot recommend Ian and Actons enough. They are outstanding at what they do.

The team at Actons were absolutely incredible, we hadn’t a negative thing to say about anything. Ian, the wedding coordinator was amazing to deal with and I couldn’t recommend him enough. My elderly grandparents stayed in the hotel for a few days prior to the wedding and they were so well minded and cared for and it really meant a lot to us.

Despite being the luckiest man already; marrying the kindest, most wonderful woman in the world, my luck reached all new heights by getting married at Actons in Kinsale! With Kinsale already a place so deeply entrenched in our hearts, the icing on the cake was to get married there, and every single thing about the day and the whole experience was just so perfect. The staff were incredible, their attention to detail second to none; nothing was too much trouble and they went above and beyond in every respect. Planning and arranging the day could not have been simpler and all the touches applied for us by the team were not only so thoughtful but also totally unexpected - we had thought it would be a very casual ceremony, but everything the Actons team did for us made it seem like we had planned and organised the day for months, it really does credit just how dedicated and considerate Ian and the team are. Just a small example; we hadn't ordered a cake (we really weren't too fussed about it and hadn't arranged anything); the Chief Bridesmaid asked us about the cake and was disappointed when we said we didn't have one. Ian overheard this exchange and went out, of his own volition, and bought us a cake so we had one to cut after the ceremony. Small detail, but does go to show how good these guys are. All in all, we were completely blown away with how the day went and really was a wedding day to remember and cherish forever. I can't recommend the team at Actons enough, amazing.

It's been hard to find the words to describe our day overall, but our day was absolutely magical, and the hotel played a huge role in making sure our day went off without a hitch! Ian was so helpful in setting up the day and made sure everything was as we wanted it. Eilish was a superstar on the day, always checking in with us and ensuring everything was as we wanted it. There were so many more staff on the day that helped the day go smoothly, and I want to say the biggest thank you to them because with them, our day was absolutely fantastic. Our guests were happy, and Adam and I were delighted with every part of the day. Having the ceremony in the hotel and then changing to the reception happened so smoothly, and I can't speak highly enough praise for all the staff who were involved in the day.
