We had the most beautiful day at The Priest House! Kat was so helpful through emails and at the meeting leading up to the day, and the day itself couldn't have gone better. Our coordinators on the day helped so much and made the entire day stress-free for us as they had everything sorted for us! James at the bar during the reception was a good laugh and amazing to have serving us. We couldn't have had friendlier or better staff and the entire day was magical. Our photographer loved all the spots we could take photographs as it's located right by the river and the hotel itself is a lovely backdrop for pictures. We also stayed in the bridal suite which was so big and had private breakfast with all the family which was nice to decompress after such a big day before! We first booked our wedding at the Priest House Hotel in May 2023. From the time of booking up to the wedding, we couldn't have asked for a better team to support us. Anytime we had a query on anything whether big or small, they'd reply quickly to our email. Kat was absolutely fantastic in helping us getting all the preparations set over the 16 months of planning. We felt more than confident that come the day, the team knew exactly what they were doing. The day of the wedding surpassed our expectations and then some! The venue itself is absolutely beautiful. We were blessed with gorgeous weather which only enhanced the venue's essence. They followed all the instructions left to get all our decor perfectly, exactly as we'd asked. On the day, the operations manager Michael went above and beyond to keep our day running smoothly, constantly checking in on us that we were okay and there were no issues. The food was delicious. Everyone who came said how much they enjoyed the food. There weren't many plates with food left and the evening food disappeared quickly! Without a doubt, it was among the best days of our lives, and part of that is due to the team at The Priest House ensuring the day ran smoothly and without incident. We had our wedding on the 21st of September 2024. I (the bride) arrived the night before, and all the staff were incredibly attentive to our needs, reassuring me throughout the entire process. They went above and beyond to ensure our day was perfect. It was a beautiful day—I just wish it hadn't gone by so quickly. The food and drinks were amazing, and everyone was well catered-for. Thank you to everyone at The Priest House.

We loved our special day at the Priest House and it could not have gone more smoothly. Hannah was amazing! She really helped to calm my nerves the day before and the day of, she quickly understood how we wanted the day to go and could not have done more to ensure that we had the best day ever. Throughout the process, various members of staff were in contact and responded in a timely manner to any queries that we had. This was supportive and made us feel listened to and that nothing was a silly question! Thank you to all staff involved for making sure that the day went smoothly and exactly how we were dreaming it to be.

The Priest House came to our rescue when our other venue cancelled. From the start, they were very welcoming and matched our quote from our previous venue, which was very helpful. Throughout the planning, Kat and the team were very accommodating and prompt in replying to our queries and were able to recommend vendors to make our day perfect. On the day itself, the team was super organised and decorated our rooms to our specifications, doing a fantastic job. A special thank you to Lauren, who organised the set-up of the rooms and made both of us grooms feel at ease. The ceremony was perfect, and just after, we had alpacas at the venue and were able to have our photos taken by our amazing photographer, Paul Spencer. The only issue from the day was the bar service during this time, as only one member was serving, which made it difficult for us to gather our family and friends for photos due to extended waiting times. Nonetheless, the team rectified this issue when we approached them, and another staff member supported it. The three-course wedding breakfast was served promptly and was hot and delicious. The team turned the room around quickly for the evening, and the food was just as delicious then. The honeymoon suite is absolutely gorgeous and comfortable. We really did have the best day at this simply stunning venue. We just wish it had not gone by so quickly. Thank you to the whole team who made our day perfect!

We had our wedding at The Priest House on 6th July 2024, and what a day it was! From our first look around to the open evenings, the planning process, and the day itself, everything was easy for us. No matter how many questions I had, the wedding team were always only an email away and was always on board with my small changes. The venue itself is stunning. The rooms available to use for our wedding had recently been redecorated, making them the perfect canvas for our touches of decor. However, the stunning light fixtures and beams of the garden suite are decorated enough in themselves. Not to mention the gorgeous space outside, where the river and water wheel truly are the perfect backdrop for all those important photographs. That said, we definitely had the best day of our lives at The Priest House, and we can't thank the team enough! - Holly & Jack

Well, what to say other than thank you so much... everything from start to finish was so easy, and the staff were so helpful. The wedding day was incredible, and we cannot thank the team enough for making everything run smoothly through the day. The food was also amazing, and every guest commented on how lovely it was, so 100% compliments to the chefs! We are so sad our day is now over and done, but we feel so lucky we will be able to go back to our incredible venue every year for our anniversary. Thank you so much for our special day.

Honestly, it was the most incredible venue; the staff were all amazing, and the surroundings were beautiful. I felt so much at ease that the plan for my day was in safe hands and my gosh was it?! I seriously couldn’t have wished for it to look as beautiful as it did.! From the first initial visit , booking, to the actual day, we've been very happy and pleased. Everyone involved was very helpful and always had a smile. The whole wedding team was awesome, the food was gorgeous, front of house was always there for you with any questions and the atmosphere was lovely. The price was very good for the amount of numbers we had and if anyone asked us where to book we would 100% recommend priest house. Thank you!!

We had our wedding at The Priest House Hotel on Saturday the 2nd December and it was the most perfect day in every way. Everything ran smoothly, Dean needs to be cloned as he was fantastic. From our initial first meeting with Kat and throughout the whole process of planning, I can honestly say that everyone has been fantastic. The setting is beautiful and we were lucky enough to have a beautiful dry day. Hayley our photographer from Captcha Photography is the absolute best and I’m looking forward to seeing the wonderful photos she took. Ciara from Take a Seat made sure the ceremony room looked like a Dream. Richard the DJ from Stage 2 Events was brilliant and we will definitely be using them again. 5* in every way! Where to begin?! Everything about the Priest House is just amazing. If you book this venue for your wedding, you won’t be disappointed! We live in Castle Donington and had our ceremony at our church in the village, followed by a full day & evening reception at The Priest House. We wanted to keep everything local and were blown away when we visited the venue about a year ago - so much so we booked it there and then! The location is obviously beautiful, the food is SO GOOD (like honestly, just amazing food!), and all the staff are just so brilliant. (Gluten free & vegetarian food was also really good according to my guests!) All of my queries & worries prior to the wedding day were answered and responded to really quickly by the Weddings Team. Shout out to Holly & Kat, they’re brilliant! Lauren is also just fantastic. Our actual wedding day was everything we wanted and more. Service by ALL staff, food, drinks, the rooms, even breakfast, all amazing! The hotel is sparkling clean and all our guests had a really enjoyable night's stay too! Suppliers wise, we made our own decorations, but the PH have regular wedding fairs to give you some inspiration! We used the PH’s DJ - he was fab! Great communication prior to the day too. If you’re looking for just the best ever photographer I can wholeheartedly recommend Captcha Photography by Hayley, in East Leake. Hayley knows The Priest House really well and her photos are just stunning! She’s also just the nicest person ever! Everything on the day went off without a hitch, and we have the best memories to look back on. I definitely think the PH is going to become one of the top wedding venues in Derbyshire! From the first day of meeting the events organisers to the day of the wedding, everyone was absolutely amazing. Nothing was too much trouble. On the morning of the wedding, I met Dean, what a lovely man and he made sure everything ran smoothly and it did. The Priest House is perfect for any occasion. The wedding at The Priest House was a beautiful and hassle-free day. The venue is truly in an amazing setting - what a beautiful venue and surrounding area. Upon arrival, parking was quick and easy. The venue was different, an experience in itself being inside a beautiful piece of architecture. It was stunning! It was very well organised and a very chilled environment. Loved it! We would like to thank you and your staff for all the wonderful work you did. The day was absolutely perfect for us all. Apart from laying on the perfect weather, we found that from the moment we arrived that you were on hand to help and guide us through the day. The arrangements for the ceremony, champagne reception, the meal, and the evening went without a hitch. The food was delicious and the service throughout impeccable. There are always stresses and strains before these occasions, but all our fears were gone and we are all looking back on the most perfect day. All details were dealt with, any queries we had, they responded to quickly and they catered to all needs throughout the day. We can’t thank Dean enough for all he did on the day, he was there prior to the ceremony starting and didn’t leave until the early hours of the morning to ensure everything ran smoothly. Kat did a superb job working behind the scenes to get all those little details just right for us. We’d happily have the day all over again. We all had the most wonderful weekend, right back to the evening before as well. Every guest has said they had the most amazing time and how lovely the venue was. No one wanted to go home the next morning and we’d happily have the day all over again. Steve and I are planning to book a night in July.
