I got married on the 2nd May, 2025, after we had to cancel our wedding aboard due to my husband having a stroke. I spoke with Clare, who I honestly can say is an amazing woman who went out of her way to make sure our day was perfect, nothing was too much trouble. Our whole day went as planned, and it was down to Clare, so a big thank you. All the staff are amazing, nothing is too much trouble. If anyone is thinking about this place, they should definitely do it, they won’t be disappointed. Well done to the whole team at Smokies.

My husband and I got married at Smokies Park in the Medlock Suite on the 18th October this year. Clare was fantastic, we had meetings every couple of months, and she didn’t miss a single detail out. We felt reassured that everything we wanted for the day was noted, and the day itself was perfect, which it most definitely was. My husband and son (best man) arrived in a truck, and Jamie made sure this was all arranged in the car park for the morning when they arrived. Me and my bridesmaids stayed over the night before, and we were able to set things up in a meeting room, and the staff made sure everything was taken in to the Medlock Suite. In the evening, we had food in the bar, and Miguel looked after us. He gave us a bottle of prosecco on the house, and he also had a shot waiting for me the next day before I walked down the aisle, which was needed! He checked on us throughout the day, and when his shift finished, he came over to us and wished us well. Clare came to see me the morning of the wedding to check everything was ok, and she came up for me to meet the registrars before the ceremony. She talked me and my bridesmaids through everything that would happen before the ceremony. Clare also made sure the groom and groomsmen were happy with everything. On the day we had Anandu looking after us and he also did an amazing job. Checking in with us to make sure we were happy with the room set up and food. There was a slight delay with the wedding breakfast as we had to wait on one of our guests. This wasn’t a problem, and he notified the kitchen of the delay. The food was amazing and all the guests loved it. The evening buffet was also amazing. Anandu and Jamie made sure everything was set up for the reception and it was all perfect. At the end of the day, all our cards and gifts were taken up to the honeymoon suite for us. The honeymoon suite was beautiful and spacious. Me and the bridesmaids had the same room the night before, and we had plenty of room with the hair dresser, make up artist and family popping in throughout the morning. It was all tidied up and cleaned ready for us on the night of the wedding. We would 100% recommend booking your wedding here, you will not be disappointed. Wedding Saturday, 27th September, 2025. We knew Smokies from previous family and friends weddings, and we knew it was the place for us. From the first time we walked through the door at the wedding open day, we couldn't wait to book our special day there. As soon as we arrived, we were welcomed by Clare and the Team. She discussed and went through every detail to make sure we understood what were the steps leading up to our wedding day and she was there whenever we needed her from day one. Once we booked and confirmed our date, Clare and Smokies team did all the work to make it perfect, and we didn't have to worry, and they took the stress away from us. The day itself was the best day we could wish for, and wouldn't be possible without all the hard-work all the Smokies team did. They made us feel at ease and always checked with myself and Isabel to make sure we were happy with everything, from the placement of the tables to the look of the room at the evening reception. Laura and Nial / Wedding 1st June 2025 Before I write my review, if you are considering Smokies Park for your wedding, BOOK IT!! My wedding took place on 1st June, 2025, and it was THE most perfect day, and this was down to Clare and her team. My husband could not thank Clare and the team at Smokies Park enough. When we were arranging viewings, Clare was very responsive via email and was very accommodating, offering evening meetings due to work commitments. As well as helping to keep our toddler entertained whilst we talked through the formalities. We also attended multiple wedding evenings and showcases, which opened our eyes to some amazing trades to assist on your day who are familiar with the hotel & staff. This also got us excited for our wedding, seeing the venue dressed & in all its glory, but even on our wedding day, we were blown away! The venue itself, the staff, and Clare even arranged to be on shift to congratulate us on our wedding day & to check we were happy with everything. The drinks & food were amazing & we couldn't have asked for anything more. We were originally torn between two venues in the end that were equally stunning, but Clare herself was the reason we chose Smokies. It will be the best decision you ever make booking Smokies Park for your wedding & having the luxury of also being able to stay over the night of your wedding. When we first came to the wedding fair back in March 2024, we were both in awe of what we saw. The layout, the stockists and the information was endless. We came away from there with our date booked and deposit paid. We had regular contact with you which was a great piece of mind for a worrier like myself, you made everything seem so easy and no bother at all. You guys helped cater for all our needs from changing food textures right through to opening a private room so our guests had a toilet on our floor on the actual day! The whole day was a blur, but an amazing one at that. Everything went so smoothly, we didn't have to worry about a thing. We both decided to stay an extra two nights which was so beautiful and much needed just to come back down to earth. Our honeymoon suite was perfect and huge! We had our wedding on 24-10-2025. We had an amazing day and everything went smoothly. As for Clare, couldn’t have asked for anyone better to help arrange our special day. She was only a phone call away if needed to change any of the arrangements. Jamie and the rest of the staff were great and we would like to say a big thank you to you all. Also, would like to thank Stef at Joyous Moments for the lovely room decor, it was perfect, the colour was stunning. We had the most beautiful wedding day at Smokies Hotel, there is nothing that went wrong! From the brilliant staff to the amazing decor and finishing touches, there is nothing I would change. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating to our needs, and our family and friends complimented this. Throughout the planning up until the day, Clare was very thorough with her planning and communicated well with us. We wish we could go back and get married again just for the experience. Would definitely recommend couples to look at getting married here; it is such a lovely venue.

We upgraded our package at Smokies, which was the best decision for us. We had a singer for the ceremony, we had singing waiters, and the best DJ, Jonathan, who we also booked as a singer for the evening. The food at the wedding breakfast and the evening buffet was so nice that many commented on how nice it was. There was so much choice too. We booked a venue dresser, Joyous Moments, who made the room look absolutely stunning. The whole day was fantastic and fun from start to finish, and everything we imagined it would be. From the very first appointment with Clare, who has become our favourite person ever, we knew Smokies was where we wanted to get married; everything about our day was out of this world. Clare, you're truly amazing, and there are no words to thank you for everything you have done for us. The whole day was everything we wanted and more. Wow! Where do we start with our wedding of dreams!! We booked Smokies Park in August 2023 and the rest is history. Clare was our main point of contact throughout the planning of our day and she was truly incredible and nothing was too much of a big ask for her. She was amazing throughout and we cannot thank her enough for her time, emails & meetings we had planning & putting our mind at ease. The day of the wedding ran as smooth as smooth could be with Clare, Jamie & Richard, they are the wedding dream team and without them our wedding wouldn't have been so perfect. The dream team always made sure there wasn't a moment we didn't have a drink in hand, which was the icing on the cake. From the start of the day till the moment the music finished it was pure bliss and we wouldn't change one thing about the whole day. (Apart from one of our guests taking our saved slices of wedding cake) The ceremony, wedding breakfast and the evening were beautiful with all of our guests commenting on how amazing the room looked each time it was changed around. Our Wedding at Smokies Park was the most perfect day we could have asked for. Above all else we want to thank Clare so much for everything she has done for us. When looking into venues and where to get married, not only did we not really know what we were doing (I mean no one does when they get married) but being an LGBT couple also, we were made to feel so welcome, as still there is an air of uncertainty when going into these things. Not only did Clare make us feel welcome but she guided us through every step of the way. Also, the fact she has a husband from the Canaries also, she made that connection with us straight away. But yes, a major shout out to Clare, especially from being there from Day 1 to our Wedding Day. The actual Day was amazing and literally nothing went wrong, Clare, Jamie, Nikki and Richard were like the dream team that day. I stayed the night before so I was there first thing in the morning and I saw members of the team and they were really friendly and happy to see me and made a special effort to ensure I was okay. As the day progressed, Clare and Richard were the ones we saw the most. Clare shone during the ceremony, as we had a specific set up where Juan would walk in first with his group and then myself second and that was spot on and went perfectly. Richard then was an absolute star during the Wedding Breakfast, not only did he make sure we were taken care of, but he was constantly back and forth ensuring everything was spot on. As soon as anything started to deviate off the schedule he was there informing us but the most important thing was, that the guests were happy and they were. We could see Jamie in the back coordinating the efforts in the kitchen. Honestly truly a dream team. It's sad now that it's all over, but to anyone that is reading this, I really want to express how much gratitude we have for the team. The most special day of our lives was made special by this team at Smokies and anyone who is considering this place should do!

We just held our wedding at Smokies Park Hotel. We had the most amazing day. Claire, our wedding planner, has been amazing throughout all the preparations for our special day. She was always on hand for questions and ideas and met with us a number of times to finalise details. She has truly been outstanding. The venue, staff and rooms at the hotel were perfect. Leading up to the big day, Clare was always available to answer any questions or arrange meetings, which really put our minds at ease. On the day itself, everything ran smoothly and as stress-free as possible. When we requested some extra high chairs for the tables, they were brought swiftly. Even when one of the chosen drinks at the bar wasn’t available, it was sorted out very quickly when we asked. Other than those minor issues, everything went absolutely perfectly.
