Garfield House Hotel An absolute hidden gem of a venue! After having to move our venue with only 14 weeks to go, Garfield could not have done more for us in the lead-up and on the day. Louize, Mark, Shannon and Glen along with the rest of the team were fabulous, any request was not a problem and did everything with a smile on their face.

I CANNOT praise the Garfield enough! They have been, without a doubt, the best venue ever! They are so caring and kind, nothing is ever too much trouble, you’re basically treated like family there. I’m constantly recommending it for anyone I know who is engaged and brag about how good they were to me! Not to mention how stunning the venue is! I’m always coming back to the Garfield for meals and I will be for a VERY long time!

We had the most amazing Wedding weekend at Garfield House Hotel, most of our family joined us in staying the night before and we held a family meal, this was also amazing and would highly recommend. Our wedding day from start to finish was perfect everything ran smoothly under the careful eye of John Kelly. The food was delicious and served by well trained staff. The facilities cannot be faulted within the hotel in anyway nothing was a problem. From first visit till our wedding day we fell in love with the hotel, the bridal suite was perfect for getting ready plenty room for everyone to prepare, the honeymoon suite was beautiful also.

We loved every minute of our wedding!... From the planning to the morning after! John, Hanna and the team were outstanding!... Absolutely nothing was a hassle for these guys. I loved that the hotel was so relaxed and comfortable yet classy and professional. John made us feel like we were meeting a friend for a catch up and not just a customer. Hanna was such a lovely person and even took the time out to take the most wonderful photo of us during our first dance (now my facebook profile picture). Hazel in the restaurant was so kind to us, especially when our 4 year old unexpectedly joined us for our menu tasting - nothing was a problem! Our guests loved the day and still tell us how amazing it was. I feel like we've made friends at the garfield and will continue to pop in for dinner or drinks. Absolutely outstanding!

We had our wedding reception in The Garfield Hotel. Everything was perfect from start to finish! Food was amazing the room was decorated lovely and all the staff were so helpful couldn’t do enough for us! Special thanks to John who was so organised and had everything running like clock work! Firstly, we would like to thank Garfield House Hotel for stepping in when our wedding venue cancelled on us with eight weeks notice. Their professionalism, friendliness and reassurance put us at ease at such a stressful time. On reflection, the venue was perfect for our day and we should have booked it from the start! Secondly we would like to thank John Kelly for making our day what it was, nothing was too much and he personally made sure everything went to plan. It really was the most perfect wedding. One of the main highlights of our day was the wedding breakfast, the food was delicious, well presented and we had so many guests comment on how lovely it was! The hotel and the grounds are beautiful for a wedding and the bridal and honeymoon suite are both fabulous! Thanks Garfield house hotel for an amazing day we’ll Never forget!

Great venue with an amazing package cost. Our day was everything we wished for from the planning to the day itself, the staff were friendly and most helpful with everything. Every guest commented on what a great day they had and that the food was lovely! John was by our side every step of the way whenever we needed something he was there. Couldn't recommend enough. Just wish I could do it all over again.

I stayed at the hotel the day prior wedding and staff were so helpful from start to end and our ceremony was just as we planned also our evening reception was great and staff were always nearby to attend to any needs we had. The honeymoon suite was amazing, room is stunning. Me and my husband had the best day at the Garfield house hotel would definitely recommend.

We had our wedding here last year I couldn’t thank them enough for making this day so special. From the minute we arrived we didn’t have to think of another thing they, took over and they seriously did us proud. The week before our wedding my husband took an infection in his knee replacement so he literally got out of hosp 24hrs before the wedding so staff were so attentive I couldn’t have asked for better treatment my guests are still talking about our wedding and that is just lovely and I know from recommendation there are 2 weddings happening next year so even that is such a compliment from the min you come through the door staff are just lovely I can’t say enough xx

We chose the Garfield for our wedding 6/8/2016 as we had looked at one other hotel and it wasn’t up to any standard we liked the Garfield from the minute we walked in they made all my family feel welcome from the day we booked until our wedding day my family was going through the worst time ever my mother had just had a really bad stroke and is now left in a wheelchair for life, the Garfield has a wheelchair ramp so I’m so glad of that,nothing was a problem with the Garfield all the staff were amazing our day went amazing from start to finish even had a minion walk in front of me down the aisle. Kara & John are amazing, we also got to try our wedding meal before our day omg the food is to die for we did our own decoration as we have our own events business and the Garfield were ok with that nothing was a problem the hotel is gorgeous and rooms are cosy the beds are so comfy the honeymoon suite has been changed since we were there but we really enjoyed the honeymoon suite we always go back on our wedding anniversary to the restaurant for a fantastic meal when we have our clients ask where’s the best hotel to get married at we always say the Garfield. We would love to do it all over again. Thank you again to the Garfield

We had our intimate late autumn wedding in the drawing room of the Garfield house hotel with 40 guests. The space was comfortable and the management and staff catered for our every need and individual choice for the day. The grounds for photographs in late autumn were maintained to a high standard and we could not have been happier with the beautiful images captured in the hotel surrounds. We also utilised the hotel inside for further pictures on the beautiful staircase and stained glass as a backdrop. The evening meal and entertainment was held in the private dining room and even with a few extra evening guest it remained a comfortable experience. The food and drinks were served with experience and professionalism and I cannot rate the whole experience highly enough. From arrival at the hotel the evening before until breakfast and departure the day after I cannot fault a thing!

Hi Kara, John and everyone at the Garfield! Gary and I would just like to send you a massive thank you for all your help in making our wedding day yesterday the most magical day for us. Everything was absolutely perfect and nothing was too much trouble at all. The day ran so smoothly with no glitches at all. Well at least none to my knowledge haha. Everyone at the hotel made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Our rooms were fabulous and the food was just delicious which was complimented by many of the guests. Thank you so much we are so glad we chose the Garfield for our venue.

Best day of my life! Made even better by the wonderful staff at The Garfield. From our first meeting with John Kelly and the rest of the staff we both knew this was where we wanted our wedding to be. All the staff made us feel welcome, special and worked tirelessly to ensure we got exactly what we wanted. Any problems, (if there were any) were dealt with without our knowledge and everything, from the initial arrival, to the ceremony, the meal and right through to the very end was utterly flawless. The Garfield itself is such a beautiful place and I can’t wait to see all our proper photos taken in and around the place. The reception room, the ceremony room and the actual hall are beautifully decorated and spacious. Someone told me it was raining on our wedding day - I never even noticed as we were having such an amazing time. I would honestly recommend The Garfield to anyone looking for a wedding that’s more than perfect.
