From the moment when we enquired about having the Burlington in Folkestone for our wedding venue to the time of our check-out on the morning after, Jess Green was the perfect events manager. Firstly, she showed us around the venue, discussed various options and helped us arrive at a brilliant reception plan, representing outstanding value for money compared to alternative and arguably inferior venues. The cost per guest was very competitive which meant we were not unduly constrained by costs when deciding who to invite. And having the ground floor bar, Premier room and terrace dedicated to our guests was amazing. Whenever we made enquiries and adjustments to the plans before the date (which we did frequently), Jess responded rapidly with real professionalism. It was so reassuring to know our big day was in such capable hands. Nothing was too much trouble for her and she went to great lengths to ensure our day was perfect. She also arranged a room rate discount for our guests which encouraged many to stay in the hotel with us. At the actual evening reception, she was present to make sure that everything ran like clockwork and there were no unexpected issues. The food was ideal, well cooked/presented with rapid service, and the staff ensured vegetarian, children and gluten-free options were delivered correctly. The rest of the Burlington staff were also very friendly, welcoming and equally committed to ensuring everyone enjoyed the occasion. Ramon was especially charming. We would definitely recommend the Burlington in Folkestone to anyone else for their event and cannot speak highly enough of the staff.

We recently got married at the Burlington. I was lucky enough to check in the night before to spend the night with my daughter's before the wedding. From the moment we arrived everything was perfect. The suite myself and my girls stayed in was amazing, so much space, the beautiful views and the quality of every part of the room was amazing. I felt like a princess in a castle! Our wedding day which was all organised by the lovely Joanne was perfect. Everyone was so well looked after, every aspect of the day thought about, everything I could have wanted i had. The hotel was amazing in catering for my allergies, I can honestly say I didn't have to worry at all. The food was brilliant, full of flavour, perfect portion sizes and really great quality. Joanne helped us through what originally felt like a daunting experience. Planning a wedding can be very overwhelming but she helped us make our choices, kept us on track with lots of helpful advice and put us both at complete ease. No detail was forgotten (including the details that myself and my husband hadnt even thought about) and this really gave us a care free day. By the time we had had our final meeting we felt truly confident everything was in hand and we had nothing to worry about at all. On the day itself I woke up and though I was nervous with anticipation I was looked after. My girls were so excited to see Joanne and I felt so comfortable she had everything in hand for us. Throughout the day the level of service that we and our guests received from every member of the hotel was above and beyond what we imagined. The service for our wedding breakfast was amazing. I truly felt that our day was so special as we sat at the top table and watched as our guests were taken care of. I can honestly say that every single member of Staff seemed to enjoy their jobs, real genuine smiles, fantastic conversation, each and every one made us feel well looked after. Each member of Staff we came across from the ladies who maintained our room and freshened it up so my sister could move in and stay with our girls on my wedding night, to the chef who took the time to come out and speak to my daughter's the day before and went above and beyond in fulfilling their special desert request for our wedding day. These little details are more than i would ever ask for and it was so refreshing to meet so many people who took pride in going above and beyond. Our afternoon and evening went brilliantly and as the night went on the level of service continued anything we needed was taken care of. When myself and my husband retired to the bridal suite it was amazing. The Burlington promised and it certainly did not disappoint. The suite was amazing, every detail made me feel special. Everything so well cared for, clean, luxurious and well designed. The views were beautiful, the facilities spotlessly clean and excellent. In the morning we went down for breakfast and this too was amazing, such a high end choice of breakfasts. Very well catered for. Many of our friends and family stayed in the hotel and all were very impressed with their rooms and thoroughly enjoyed breakfast. I have to admit I was very sad to be checking out the day after our wedding. Our daughter's also begged us to stay for longer! The Burlington really is the place dreams are made. And our wedding and entire stay was a total dream! We are now looking forward to receiving our wedding photos, seeing the magnificent building with such amazing features in our photos will be brilliant. I don't believe I can give the team at the Burlington enough credit in this review for just how hard they work. They really are fantastic. We are fortunate to live not more than 20 minutes away from the Burlington but I shall be booking to stay for our wedding anniversary without a shadow of a doubt. I would absolutely recommend the Burlington to anyone planning on getting married. If you dream of a perfect day where you can truly sit back and enjoy your wedding in wonderful surroundings this is certainly the place. I can also say for any family considering a break the hotel is amazing. You won't feel under each other's feet. The space and facilities make it really easy for you to do as you please whilst still being able to keep the children happy. From the point of view of a couple I would say the Burlington is the ultimate romantic place to stay. The feeling of luxury and comfort are really second to none here. The best day of our lives!!! My husband and I got married in August this year at the Burlington hotel and all I can say is WOW!!!! The Burlington is not only stunningly beautiful, it has the most wonderful staff who did everything they could to make our day as magical as it was. The hotel- beautiful hotel on beautiful grounds. Our hotel room was to die for, 4 poster bed, freestanding bath, fresh flowers, chocolate and fruit. It was absolutely gorgeous. The ceremony- the ceremony room was beautiful, out of the way from other guests and perfect size to fit our nearest and dearest in, without it being too big and empty looking. The staff- the staff are what made our wedding so special and stress free. They were there every step of the way to help guide and support us. If we needed a hand someone was there within seconds. A special mention to Joanne who, without a doubt is the most professional, friendly and warm hearted person myself and my husband could have wished for to help us through the whole process. All in all the Burlington hotel is by far the most perfect venue for a wedding. I have, and will continue to recommend to all I speak to.
