We had an incredibly memorable, enjoyable, relaxed, fun time at our wedding reception at Winchester Royal Hotel. We had an intimate number of 45 people at the hotel so the reception room was perfect for space and with an area for dancing later! It also made it easier that all our guests stayed in the hotel which had parking. The hotel team were great, friendly, flexible and also very organised, particularly on the lead up to the day which put our minds at rest. We held our ceremony on the day itself nearby at the registry office opposite the Great Hall which was a lovely setting and a very convenient 5 minute walk so it was perfect. On our return to the hotel , the relaxed hotel lounge made for a great area for guests to mingle and for drinks/canapes before we moved into the reception room for dinner followed by dancing on a perfect temporary dance floor. For warm, dry days, the hotel gardens looked lovely too. A great location so near the city, and such a memorable couple of days. Definitely would recommend to couples considering.

We had our Wedding here in in October and we can't thank Kelly and all the staff at the Winchester Royal Hotel enough for hosting our amazing wedding day and evening reception. Kelly was just brilliant on the build up to the big day dealing with our numerous visits (some unplanned), many emails and questions. Her calm, relaxed and organised approach always made us feel at ease and filled us with confidence for the big day. On the day itself all the staff at the hotel were just fab. Everything was just as we had imagined and more. The Ceremony in the Garden Restaurant, our Wedding Breakfast in the Winton Room and our Evening Reception in the Darials Rooms all looked just as we had planned it. It was a completely seamless day, surrounded by our family and friends who also thought the hotel and all the staff were just amazing. Our food and drink preferences and requirements were meet 100% and it all tasted delicious. Thanks again to Kelly and all the team at The Winchester Royal Hotel.

We had our wedding here in June 2019 and couldn’t recommend it highly enough. The staff were fantastic and ever so helpful, both in the planning and on the day. The facilities were excellent and lots of guests commented on how beautiful it was. The food was delicious. The hotel itself is situated in a great location, very central but still secluded and quiet, with a really lovely garden. The Milner Suite is beautiful and really comfortable. We couldn’t have asked for any more! It’s the perfect place for a wedding.

What a wonderful day we had and it went like a dream. We wandered into the hotel back in April 2018 . Straight away the hotel had a welcoming vibe and we were warmly greeted. The garden was beautiful and felt like an oasis of calm in the bustle of the city. We met Marta who explained all about the services offered by the hotel and gave us a tour. She made us feel like we would be well looked after and we weren’t disappointed. We were sold and booked the next day. As we had plenty of time we then did very little until after Christmas! I then had a panic as we hadn’t sorted anything else yet and we popped into the hotel. We met the fabulous Alex – what a star! He reassured us (me) that we still had plenty of time and that he was there to do all the worrying! He suggested we attend the upcoming Wedding Fare as all your usual recommended suppliers would be there and we left the hotel feeling like we were back in control! The Fare was great and sure enough everything was sorted out shortly afterwards. We then met Kelly Allen and she made us feel like nothing was too much trouble and that she had everything under control. People say that getting married is one of the most stressful events of your life – well not if you get married at the Winchester Royal and Kelly is looking after you!! When we arrived at the hotel, on the day before the wedding, the room was well on its way to being ready and Charlie offered us a glass of fizz that we shared as I ‘titivated’ with the tables. What can I say about the day? It was wonderful and everything that Tim and I hoped it would be. We never felt rushed or that we had to worry about anything – you and your colleagues had it under control. Everything worked like clockwork but we never felt like a cog in a wheel. The service was so personal from everyone – thank you. All of our guests had a fabulous time and commented on the quality of the food and service. Thank you once again for your unwavering service

We had our wedding organised by Chris and Marta of the Winchester Royal Hotel. It was flawless. Nothing was too much trouble for the fantastic staff. They were kind, courteous and welcoming and the whole day was stage-managed from start to finish. The food was exceptional from the Canapes at the ceremony, the incredible meal at the wedding breakfast or the buffet at our evening disco all we had were happy, delighted guests telling us what a fantastic time they were having and how amazing the food was. Even those that managed til midnight were catered for with the midnight munchies that hit the spot. Alex our function manager for the day was exceptional. He made sure nothing was too much trouble for him and his team. The hotel rooms were spacious and comfortable and cleaned to the highest standards. This hotel is a hidden gem in the center of Winchester and many of our wedding guests have said that they will be booking nights here again if they are in Winchester. I cannot thank the staff here enough for making the happiest day of our lives in to the happiest day of our lives. We are already looking to book here next year to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary. Thanks again to all the staff and to anyone who is looking for a top class venue in or around the Winchester area you'd regret not giving these guys a call and letting them talk through what this fantastic venue can offer. We chose this hotel for our wedding from a recommendation and we are so happy we did. I can’t express how special every member of the team made us feel from checking in to checking out! We had the Milner suite in the main house for myself and bridesmaids and then for our wedding night. The silver four-poster bed was huge and so comfy...I actually slept the night before our wedding...thanks to that bed! We had breakfast both mornings and the choice was beyond expected...and very tasty! You could even squeeze your own orange juice which our children loved doing. We had 120 people attend our wedding at the Winchester Royal Hotel and every single person has expressed their enjoyment of the day. All the staff were friendly and attentive to all our guests, always going above and beyond with every request. We will be making sure we go back on our anniversaries!

Genuinely cannot thank you and the team enough for making our day so amazing on Saturday! We had the most perfect day from start to finish. We’ve had lots of comments on how beautiful the hotel was and how amazing the food was - honestly, the amount of people commenting on the beef was crazy - so please pass our comments on to the chef. Every member of staff working over the course of the few days that we were there could not have been any more helpful, polite and friendly - I honestly cannot find the words to explain how amazing they all were. Massive, massive thanks to you though! Thank you for putting up with the odd diva moment and the millions of emails - which you know you’ll miss! Hahaha! Thank you for making the day go so smoothly which allowed us to get on and enjoy the day!! Once again, I don’t think I can really convey how grateful we both are to you.
