We originally booked our wedding for 2020 but it was cancelled due to covid. The whole way through the rebooking process the staff particularly Tami couldn’t have been more helpful. As the bride, I stayed the night before the wedding and wedding night and from the moment I arrived, it was a pleasure. Everything was organised, on time, and every single member of staff were happy to go above and beyond to make sure our special day went off without any issue. On the day, Tami was on annual leave and we were left with Ciaran who was an absolute delight, making sure everyone was alright, everything was on time and he couldn’t have done anymore for us. Every single person who attended said how great the staff were, how fabulous the food was and the hotel in general. We had Alex, Morgan, Tilly, Abi and Tasha serving us on the day who were absolutely brilliant. We never had to wait for a drink or a meal and they served everything with a smile on their face. We couldn’t recommend The Mandolay anymore & we are so glad we picked it for our special day.

Where do I start…! We did it! We couldn’t have done it without all the help from Tami and her wonderful team. From our very first meeting with Tami, the service has been amazing. The venue was perfect for what we wanted, with the added bonus of being able to go across to Guildford Castle to take some time out for ourselves to take it in and get some beautiful pictures! Throughout the day, all the staff were professional, courteous and friendly- we had many compliments on this from our guests. I would like to say a special thanks to Tami for making everything so easy , enjoyable and stress free. In the evening of our wedding the operations manager was also very attentive and made sure everything went smoothly for us - thank you all for making our day perfect we will remember it forever!!!

What can I say about The Mandolay. We had the most amazing day, the food, the service, everything was perfect. Tami is so special, she kept us calm, was the most amazing support from start to finish and I cannot thank her and The Mandolay enough for the most perfect day. If you are looking for a surrey venue for your wedding, i cannot recommend them enough. Every detail was taken care of and the entire process was a dream. Can’t thank Tami and the staff at The Mandolay enough for hosting our wedding from ceremony to evening reception enough. We had a lovely day, all our guests were complimenting the food and the service and how beautiful and intimate the ceremony was. We loved every moment of our special day, Tami and Tash took all the stress away and helped the day run smoothly so we could relax and enjoy our day.

We originally booked our wedding for December 2020, but had to take the decision to postpone due to the uncertainty caused by Covid. The staff were so helpful in rebooking us for December 2021, allowing us to continue with our dream of a Christmas wedding. Thanks to Tami and the hotel's chain of preferred suppliers everything was so easy to rearrange. By attending a wedding fayre at the hotel, we met the people that would cater for our every need. After a few meetings with The Mandolay staff, everything was arranged and the team started working then on. When we were given the menu choices, we asked if it would be possible to change to a Christmas dinner, and without any hesitation, we were told yes. At the meal tasting, Tash treated us like royalty and all the food choices were amazing, which made the decision very hard. In the weeks leading up to the wedding, Tami was on hand for any help or advice we needed and was always calm and reassuring in the face of ever-changing restrictions and always filling us with confidence that the wedding would go ahead. On the day of the wedding, the hotel's staff worked tirelessly to enable the majority of our guests to check-in early. Behind the scenes, Tami was calm as ever and checked if we were both okay, made sure our guests were in the right place at the right time and everything ran like clockwork. The ceremony and drinks reception in the Surrey Suite went perfectly. Then we entered the Mandolay suite for the wedding breakfast and the layout and decoration was better than we had hoped, the room was amazing. Thanks to Tami and all the staff at the Mandalay, we had the most perfect, magical day. The day we had dreamed of.

The Mandalay was the perfect choice for our wedding reception. The space was decorated so BEAUTIFUL. It was the best fit for all our guests during this pandemic. Right from the start, the team worked tirelessly to ensure all our needs were met, despite the ever-changing circumstances. The team always answered our questions, and the organisation was perfect. My husband and I are so thankful to all the staff for helping make our day so special from beginning to end. We had so many compliments from staff and guests over our wedding. It WOULDN'T have been possible without the help of Tami and her fantastic team. Thank you so much!!

We had a wonderful wedding at the Mandolay Hotel! The staff have been so helpful throughout all the wedding planning. Everyone's been especially understanding around lockdown, initially having to postpone the wedding a year, which was done at no extra cost. Even on the lead up to the big day, when restrictions didn't ease as much as we'd hoped, they've been so accomodating with last-minute changes. The day itself was all we could have hoped for and we enjoyed every second. Extra shout outs to Tami and Bruno for all the help you've given us! THANK YOU AGAIN FOR HOSTING US!

We just wanted to say a huge thank you to the whole team at The Mandolay Hotel for making our wedding day so special. We had an amazing day and all of our guests commented on how lovely both the venue and staff were. Thank you in particular to Charlotte the Senior Events Coordinator for helping to put together such a fabulous wedding reception at short notice. You did a wonderful job, the room looked gorgeous & certainly gave our guests the ‘wow’ factor. Also, we would like to say a special thank you to the excellent Banqueting Manager for ensuring our day went so smoothly. His attention to detail & friendly manner helped to created a lovely atmosphere. He really was fantastic & we are beyond grateful for his kindness & professionalism. The entire room was laid out beautifully, the food tasted amazing & the service provided was exceptional. All of the staff were polite & attentive, so please pass on our thanks to all of the team. Thank you for all your help and support. We just returned back from our honeymoon and back at work and routine as usual. I would like to highly commend the great job done by you guys and the entire planning team in ensuring our wedding was special from the very beginning. One key highlight for me is the fact that planning a wedding long distance without ever meeting the team is not the easiest task, yet the communication was timely and detailed and allowed me to have the comfort of planning with your team as though it was done face to face if not better. The event day was also flawless. Everything went smoothly and as per agreed plan so job well done! Leading up to the wedding as you can imagine I got very anxious and nervous about little details but Tami was very quick to put my mind at ease and assure me she had everything under control ( which she did) we used the DJ provided by the hotel as part of the package and he was amazing so lovely and the guests loved him! if your thinking of having your wedding at the Mandolay then go for it you won’t be disappointed and you will have the best day and if you’ve already booked your wedding at the Mandolay then I’m so jealous because I want to do it all over again!!! When Claire and I realised we were not going to be working with Ailsa anymore, during our tasting session - it’s fair to say we were quite upset. Ailsa had been with us all along our journey and was a key reason why we chose The Mandolay - she brought into my wife's vision of how we could transform your large conference room into our winter themed wedding. As sad as we were that day, we were very soon encouraged by Tami Vickery. Tami immediately put us at ease. Tami clearly had experience and clearly also had more authority that Ailsa. This was useful in our specific situation as lots of questions were answered immediately without the ‘I'll have to ask’ answer we had previously been given quite often. Tami was very organised during the run up to our wedding day. We had Christmas and all that goes with December with a venue like yours to contend with. We could tell on several occasions in December that Tami was extremely busy. She never made us feel any less important and kept on top our ever-evolving plans at all times. Tami is a fantastic communicator - and that is an amazing asset in a role like hers. At all times we felt we knew where we stood, and never had to wait days for updates or responses. We felt she was in our corner. As you are probably aware, the day before our wedding we had a major issue with a no-show from our main vendor. The most stressful of times I can assure you. Tami was available at all times during this, offered us an alternative (who we eventually used), and continued to communicate with us well after her work hours and very early on the wedding day. Sending texts and photographs to me that served as a huge comfort. It’s fair to say we were very worried - but it all worked out - thanks goodness and thank Tami. We also felt that Tami gave the staff on the day the full run down of what had happened, as they all seemed to want to do their very best for us. Thank you Tami.

I just wanted to send a quick email to say thank you! It was everything we wanted, intimate, private and relaxed. The staff were very helpful and kind. The food was amazing and we had lots of compliments! The breakfast was AMAZING and the room service was great! Massive thanks for all your help we will be back for our first anniversary hehe! From the start of our wedding planning process the team at The Mandolay Hotel were beyond welcoming and helpful. We first came across them while trolling through the internet looking for local venues for our wedding, and when we found The Mandolay, we started to fall in love. They had a wedding fayre coming up and once we got there and had a look round and met the team, we couldn't imagine getting married anywhere else. Tami was a delight to work with and made the whole process so fun and stress-free every step of the way! On the day we had a few vendor issues, but Tami and her team took it all in their stride and dealt with it professionally and quickly - you wouldn't have known anything had happened! There are not enough words to express how grateful we are to everyone at The Mandolay for making our wedding more perfect than we could have ever hoped for! We would 100% recommend this venue to anyone!

The day was perfect from start to finish, it's as simple as that really. We always felt in complete control of events. The sales team gave us options and guidance, they listened to all of our requests and made good on every commitment. We chose our own menu, service style, timings, music choices, in fact everything we wanted. As a 'more mature' couple we were fairly settled on our choices anyway but the suggestions we received helped us to make the day even more memorable. There were things that we would not have dreamed of asking for (fish and chips, served in newspaper for one of my relatives. The idea started as a joke but turned into a spectacular high-point of the day). The service could not have been better, attentive without ever being overpowering. The staff could not have been more helpful and every single person seemed to have a smile on their face, a sign of a happy team. I can't think of a single thing that I would have changed, ours was a small wedding by modern standards, just 30 of us, it was the best day ever.

I would like to thank you and all your staff for the wonderful service on our special day everything went to plan and the buffet was very good especially the sausage rolls one of our guests got the recipe from the kitchen.
