Good morning Tom, Back to work now and back to reality I have been living in this wedding bubble!!! Just wanted to say a huge thank you for all your help and assistance you have been fantastic every step of the way from start to finish. Yourself and the team on the day (Sammy) were absolutely fantastic you really helped and guided us and made us feel completely at ease. The day went so much better than expected and we have made the most amazing memories, the food was on point, the service was really good, the venue and decorations were absolutely beautiful we couldn’t have asked for a better day. Also thank you for communicating with our singing waiters/flowers/cake lady you really have gone above and beyond your role and want to say a huge thank you to you and all the team we wish we could do it all again .Thank you for making it the wedding of our dreams we would recommend the Marriott to anyone who asks us, we have previously attended a wedding here which is why we booked our wedding there as we had a great time at our friend’s wedding. We have had so many compliments regarding the venue and the day and how perfect it was. Me and my new husband have not long had our wedding here. I can’t express enough what an amazing day it was and most of that was down to the staff working here and I mean pretty much all staff that was there on the day at Marriott in York! From viewing the Marriott we got an amazing feeling then to booking the wedding in to Tom Rose helping us with every little detail on build up. Honestly don’t know what we would have done without him there every step of the way, and then Hollie Markham helping with the final details and little last minute changes and keeping me sane on the wedding day, she was amazing. On the wedding day Pankaj was just fantastic too he made sure everything was fine with me and the groom before even letting guests in the room. He let us see everything first and even made sure we were fine throughout the whole day, he did not clock off and go home till he had seen me and tom to ask if everything was ok and do we need anything before he goes! Thought that was so lovely as most people would finish work and just leave but he took time and effort to make sure we were ok first. Him and his team were just fab! Every member of staff working that day was just so friendly, so welcoming, no question was a daft question. Nothing to them felt like a chore we were really well looked after even the next morning all staff were asking how our day was and if we needed anything! Could rabble on for hours about how lovely the staff at Marriott Hotel was! Everything was just run so smoothly!! The rooms were so comfy too! I would recommend a nights stay or to host an event to anybody that asked! It was an amazing day, my husband and I can not thank the Marriott team enough.

There isn't enough space on here to write everything about how wonderful our day was at York Marriott Hotel, or how amazing the team was. From the first phone call, emails and meetings, Tom was fantastic! Tom listened to absolutely everything, advised us given his experience and never once tried to upsell or make you feel awkward. We had various meetings and updates on the lead up to the wedding day with Tom. He was always ensuring that I had thought of everything. When we got to the day before, Tom and Jeanette looked after everything. They were consistently there to ensure they knew how we wanted things to go on the day. We had decorations that needed moving from the garden to the room, and they were placed so perfect in the main reception room. We really didn't have to worry about any details, they had thought of it all. On the morning, we had a cancellation of two people as our friend had gone into labour, looking like false labour they then arrived at the wedding. The team picked up on that, and the tables we rearranged and no one was any the wiser. Tom came to collect me from my room before getting married, and was really understanding of how I was feeling, talked to me all the way down. Jeanette got me a drink as I sat down with the registrars. Tom and Jeanette were there to greet us after the ceremony with a drink and a congratulations. When we were doing speeches I even needed a tissue, before I even realised Jeanette was behind me with one! Honestly the team were out of this world, bar staff, waiters and waitresses. We had amazing feedback on how wonderful it was, and also how great the food was. Whilst we had done the food tasting, I wasn't sure given they were cooking for 52, and had a busy main restaurant and how that would pan out. I would highly recommend that anyone look at holding their wedding at this venue, not just because it is a beautiful setting, but because of the service, empathy and dedication you receive on the day. We got married here in July ,2021, and Tom Rose was our wedding planner. I can’t thank him enough for everything he did for us. We were a covid wedding and had to move dates, but Tom was so accommodating with us. He met all of our requests, and went above and beyond on our wedding day! From when we were introduced I knew he was the man for the job, calling me every other week to make sure I was okay, making sure I wasn’t anxious about updates etc. He ensured me that I’d have my big day as planned, and wow what a day it was. Tom made sure everything was under control, we were set to be married inside because of weather, but my dream was outside. The rain stopped and the sun came out just as Tom ordered. In all seriousness, I knew he was amazing but on the actual wedding day he, again, went above and beyond to make sure I didn’t stress. He made sure everything was perfect for me and the groom!! Everything was just prefect from start to finish. Tom even impressed my guests, and everyone commented on how amazing all the staff were and how helpful everyone was. I can’t forget Jeanette, who was also amazing very personal. I felt like we had known each other for years ,she just got my vibe on everything I wanted! Tom and Jeanette, I owe you so much for everything you did for my husband and I on our special day!! ( the most stressful times with covid restrictions, but made to feel more at ease even with bumps along the way)! I will always recommend York Marriott Hotel, because of Tom and it was just such a beautiful day. It is something that will live with me forever!! Thank you so much!!

We had an absolutely perfect day for our wedding at York Marriott Hotel. Tom and his team were professional, friendly and certainly knew how to do and enjoy their jobs. I couldn’t have asked for more. The food was fantastic, and everything went without a hitch. Any questions were responded to quickly, and nothing was a problem. They delivered in every way from always responding to calls and messages and been there to support throughout the big day. We would like to say a huge thank you to the Marriott staff in York in particular to Galil and Steve for making our wedding a magical day to remember forever. We contacted the Marriott initially as we were interested in having an informal, intimate wedding ceremony and reception in their beautiful garden. We specifically wanted a BBQ lunch where our guest could enjoy the garden and relax in an informal manner From our initial meeting with Gail, it was apparent that nothing was too much trouble, it was a pleasure talking to her, personable yet very professional, there was no upselling and everything was simply very easy, uncomplicated and reasonably priced. We felt it was too good to be true! As we wanted to set up the wedding decorations ourselves, we were given free access to the garden the day prior to the wedding where we could arrange the gazebo and organise everything just the way we wanted. We had a wonderful day just setting things up with the family, and Gail and Steve just popping in just to ensure we were ok We had several meetings with Gail and Steve as they talked us through every single step of the way. Although the wedding reception was informal, as we requested, it was organised like clockwork. Everything was synchronized, professional and friendly which meant we didn’t have to think of anything but enjoying the day. Everyone was discreetly working very hard in the background. On arrival on the wedding day both Gail and Steve were there to meet us, and now, just like old friends, were helping us to overcome the pre wedding nerves! It was wonderful! The BBQ was plentiful and delicious and again the staff very friendly and welcoming. All our guests loved the place, a little beautiful hidden gem overlooking the York racecourse, lovely kept garden where everyone could relax and enjoy. We can’t thank Gail and Steve and the rest of the Marriott staff enough, we felt very special, we felt that our day was very special to them. We can’t recommend this venue enough.

We can’t find the words to thanks Gail and Steve enough for the day we had, Gail was amazing from day one when we viewed the Marriott in regards to having our wedding reception there. She was so professional and welcoming from the moment we walked in and met her, Gail wasn’t pushy at all with us booking and answered any questions we had witch other venues failed to do! She has been amazing throughout and always kept in touch with us!! Steve, we was introduced to Steve on the night before our wedding as he was the man who made sure everything ran smoothly... and smoothly it was. Steve made sure we was happy with everything throughout the day and made sure our guests were well looked after and we’re okay aswell. every guest we have spoke to since Saturday have all said what a great bloke he is, how professional he is, how good he is at his job and also how much he enjoys his job!!! I hope this email comes in great spirit as I really wanted you to know how lucky you are to have these two working under yourself!! As I business owner myself I know how hard it is to get good staff!! Please make sure these guys are recognised for what they do!! They are both the best at what they do!!!!

I don’t think we can thank Yvette or Steve enough for your support, both before and on the day. You were both sensational and for you both to execute our vision so well and to give us the most perfect day...well, we are just so grateful. The day was absolutely seamless and you managed to remove any stress we had. Without you both, I truly doubt it would have been the day that we had. All of your team were an absolute credit to you too. Nothing was too much and we had so much great feedback from our guests, particularly from the parents about how well your staff treated the children within our wedding party. I don’t think we will ever be able to truly convey how grateful we are to both you and Steve. The day was perfect. You were both perfect. If our wedding day is any indicator for our marriage then I imagine it’s going to be a great one! Also, the DJ was fantastic. Rarely have we seen such a constantly full dance floor at a wedding. I would definitely recommend him in the future for sure!
