Danielle and the team at Ballyliffin Lodge & Spa did an outstanding job. The service, the food, the management and the craic. All our guests have had nothing but nice things to say about this venue and the people who work here. From day one, Danielle was amazing. We had a number of guests who had allergies and were coeliac, some were coeliac and dairy-free. Ballyliffin lodge & spa were able to tend to this, and everyone had an amazing meal and time. Special mention to Ciaran, too, as he was our host for the night, and he was brilliant! If I could give more stars, I definitely would.

We cannot thank Danielle and all the staff at the Ballyliffin Lodge enough for everything they did to make our wedding day so perfect! It's hard to believe it's been a month already since the wedding! We are still getting photos and videos from folk and are still reminiscing .. My husband and I had our wedding in April this year, we spent three nights in the hotel. My husband is from Galway, so we had a lot of family spending the full weekend with us. We had the best day/weekend, more than what we ever could have dreamt about. We had compliments from guests describing it as one of the best weddings they have ever been to. This was due to the warm, friendly welcome, the hospitality and the beautiful location of the Ballyliffin Lodge and Spa. We have been coming to this hotel for the past 10 years as a couple, and we knew it was the perfect location for our wedding. From the minute we booked with Danielle, she made us feel at ease. We celebrated our Christmas wedding on the 20th of December 2024 in the beautiful Ballyliffin Lodge & Spa in Donegal and what a day we had! Our special day was everything we dreamed of! Danielle and Madeline are a credit to the hotel. Danielle helped me every single step of the way and ensured everything was organised, numbers were correct and all ran smoothly on the lead up. On the day of our wedding, Madeline ran everything like clockwork. No request was too much. She remember everything I had planned, including all the small details such as remembering to light our memorial candle, timings of speeches, things that needed moved or changed. Danielle was very accommodating when I wanted to bring outside vendors in to decorate, as well as bringing a lot of my own stuff for the reception room. It was absolutely stunning! Danielle and Madeline ensured all my ideas came to life and we both could not of been happier. The waiters and waitresses working in our reception room serving us on the day are a credit as well to the hotel. All were so polite, kind and helped with everything we needed. One lovely young lady in particular was helping us at the top table, apologies I cannot remember her name now. She was fantastic! The food and drinks were gorgeous and all our guests complimented the generous portion sizes. Everyone especially loved the Guinness flutes, scones and sandwiches during our drinks reception. We got married at the Ballyliffin Lodge in March this year, and everything from start to finish was simply amazing. We have visited the Ballyliffin Lodge many times for Sunday dinner, so when it came to booking our wedding, there was only one place in mind. We already knew the food was of a high standard and that the staff were always welcoming. With just one viewing and a single conversation, we were completely settled on The Lodge. Given our previous experiences, my expectations were already high—surely such a familiar place couldn’t impress me any more? From the very beginning, Danielle was brilliant—nothing was off the table. Every idea I had was explored and made possible. I felt calm throughout the entire process, as Danielle's communication was exceptional. I never found myself with unanswered questions or wondering what was next, because she kept me in the loop every step of the way. We had complete trust in Danielle and the team. When our actual wedding day arrived, my already high expectations were surpassed. The entire day ran so smoothly. We hardly had to think about a thing because Madeline and her team guided us through everything seamlessly. Not having to worry allowed us to truly enjoy our time together and with our guests. All of our wedding guests have been praising the professionalism of the serving staff and the overall service. It wasn't, so the ceremony outside in the sun was beautiful. The pictures look as if we were in a foreign country. The food was beautiful. The staff were helpful and made the day perfect.
