From the first day we met with the Wedding Planners Leah and Andria, we felt so at ease and welcomed even though we were just planning our wedding. The Brehon team were fantastic in helping us plan our wedding with continuous emails, check lists during the 2 years. As the day came closer, they were there for us and anything we asked or questions were no problem at all with instant replies to our emails. We stayed the night before our wedding and the pre family meal was beautiful and staff in the Danu restaurant were so good and made us feel so special. Our wedding day was just fantastic and the team yet again so helpful with timings and having our guests in place before the start of our ceremony. Our ceremony room was beautiful with red carpet lanterns and a beautiful arch. The wedding meal was out of this world and our guests were complimenting how great they were all treated by staff and how great the meal was and the service was excellent. We would highly recommend The Brehon Hotel and we are so delighted to have chosen them for our Special Wedding Day.

Our wedding reception at The Brehon Hotel in Killarney was absolutely perfect! From the moment we booked, we knew we’d made the right decision. The facilities were top-class, and the outside area for our drinks reception was gorgeous. It meant the world to us that the wedding team made it all possible. The entire team, especially Caitríona, Andria, Leah & Emma, went above and beyond to make our day special. The staff on the day were exceptional, and we can’t thank them enough. We’ve received so many compliments from our guests about the venue, and we’re thrilled with how everything went. A truly top-class experience!

I was lucky enough to have my wedding at The Brehon, from the minute we arrived everything was top class. All guests were raving about service, location, and food. Everyone loved their rooms. My new wife and I were given exceptional treatment, would recommend this hotel to everyone. Our wedding team were fantastic on the day, we had Leah guiding us through everything like a guardian angel, flawlessly leading us through the day. We had the most special wedding day thanks to the amazing team at the Brehon. To start with, the venue is outstanding, no matter what time of year you start . The bedrooms, function room, reception, restaurant are all gorgeous. Food was to die for, and our guests are still talking about it. The stand out for us is the staff at the hotel. Leah and the wedding team went above and beyond for us throughout the planning and then played a blinder on the wedding day itself, ensuring everything ran smoothly. They went beyond the typical duties of a hotel wedding team and were even helping me with my dress and veil on the day, thank you!!

Had our wedding here on Sat (25th October 2025). What an amazing hotel. Beautiful decor, outstanding service, a helpful team and beautiful modern rooms. The food was absolutely out of this world. Kept getting compliments all night from guests about how it was the best food they ever had at a wedding. We enjoyed every moment. Special shout out to Andrea, who went above and beyond to make sure our day was extra special. Also shout out to Leah, Caitriona and all the team in the Brehon for their support through all the planning. Would highly recommend the Brehon as a wedding venue but also as a place to stay. Definitely a gem in Killarney, not to be missed!

The Brehon Hotel is a stunning hotel that met all our expectations for our wedding day. The wedding team were always so helpful and understanding from the day we went to view the hotel. The food was outstanding, the grounds were beautiful and the whole experience was absolutely wonderful.The function room is beautifully decorated and was perfect for our reception. All our guests thoroughly enjoyed our day and complimented our choice of hotel. Our day went perfectly and this was due to the wonderful staff keeping us to our schedule. This is an amazing venue for a wedding. We received a very professional service from the first meeting we had with Sharon Devine. That first encounter was the main factor for us choosing the Brehon as our wedding venue. Sharon provided a very clear picture of what the Brehon could offer by way of a wedding reception. After we had booked our wedding date with the Brehon, we were provided with all the necessary information/details regarding the local suppliers (entertainers, church music etc) which we found very beneficial to us. We really enjoyed the menu tasting - the staff looked after us exceptionally well throughout & the food was outstanding. All communication from Caitriona Ashe was both extremely helpful and done with a very high level of professionalism. The wedding day itself went so well - everything was organised to perfection. All we had to do was show up on the day. We were delighted with the layout of the room, the floral arrangements, the drinks reception & canapes went down a treat with our guests. The food was outstanding and up to five star A La Carte standard. Every small detail was carefully managed by Caitriona Ashe, especially given all the additional requirements during the pandemic, and Caitriona was always flexible & friendly in her approach, which made it very easy for us. Our guests thoroughly enjoyed the wedding and many spoke of the excellent way the Brehon managed the whole event. We were delighted to have booked the wedding car at the Brehon and the driver did a wonderful job on the day. The availability of an on-site hair & beauty salon proved invaluable. It was most convenient for our bridal party on the day. The bridal suite was spacious and luxurious - a lovely hamper was delivered to the room. Congratulations to all the staff and management for making our wedding day so special & for doing a superb job in organising this memorable event for us.

We held our reception in the Brehon hotel the weekend before Christmas 2019. We live abroad but I am originally from the area so I knew the Brehon hotel well. Catriona and all the wedding staff were so easy to communicate with, especially by email which was fantastic. No request was denied no matter how annoying. We had several people with dietary requirements and severe allergies and all was easily managed and planned for in advance. The day itself was seamless, the food fantastic and everything arranged for; the wedding team at the Brehon (particularly Catriona) were complete professionals and an absolute pleasure to work with. A strong recommendation is that both my sisters also held their receptions at the Brehon hotel. Many of our guests were non-locals and also spoke very highly of the accommodation and spa at the hotel and plan to return in the future for a holiday. Keep up the good work, we can not wait to return!

We viewed several hotels when planning our wedding and from the minute we walked through the front doors of the Brehon we knew we had found the perfect location. Not only did the lobby of the hotel look amazing but the staff were extremely pleasant too. We met with Sharon the wedding sales manager and she couldn't have made us feel more at ease and welcome. We were given a tour and shown all the amenities before being offered complimentary tea/coffee. We quickly made the decision that this was the ideal place for our wedding. From that point on we were continuously updated on any deadlines which were upcoming and any requirements we might have missed or not considered. This helped us to be as prepared as possible. This attentiveness and attention to detail ensured that we were always at ease. We also knew that any questions we had could be asked and a quick response was always received. A couple of days before the wedding circumstances around the country changed but we were informed quickly of any changes which needed to be made so as to lessen the pressure on us. The day of the wedding couldn't have gone off more brilliantly. Caitriona and Sophia were excellent and very patient and professional. We were able to feel relaxed and they understood situations and offered us a few minutes to regather before the meal. The meal itself was amazing and left everybody thoroughly impressed. In spite of a delay in serving (a fault on our side due to us over-running elsewhere) the food was still cooked perfectly. Each and every person in attendance at our wedding had a fantastic time and could not praise the hotel, food, rooms and staff highly enough. The suite itself was spacious and had everything you would need. We received a complimentary basket with a newspaper on the day of our wedding and a bottle of Prosecco which was a really nice touch. The Brehon as a wedding venue is nothing less than superb! We got married and had our wedding reception there in September 2019. During the venue planning stage of the process I visited The Brehon for an initial meeting to understand the amenities available. I was greeted by their dedicated wedding coordinator, Caitriona and hotel sales manager, Sharon, who had recently had her own wedding there. The meeting was excellent – I was given a personal tour of the drink reception areas (can either be indoor on the mezzanine or outdoor on the patio depending on the unpredictable Irish weather). Then we moved onto see the options for the wedding banquet suite which could hold up to 220 people. The room is very spacious and offers all the required amenities (dedicated bar, band space, large dancefloor, dedicated toilet access etc). The hotel is a 4 star and the décor is very impressive – creating the feeling of a 5+ star experience. The hotel also offers a virtual reality tour so that you can see how the room would look completely laid out, including multiple versions of table arrangements and decoration. Additionally, The Brehon offers an in-house salon which is ran by Pat O’Neill. I met with Pat, who is an absolute character and gentleman. Pat explained how the day would run and what treatments he offered. Next, I discussed in detail the 3 wedding packages offered by The Brehon which provided an expansive choice of food and course options, catering for any budget. The topic of accommodation was a crucial aspect for us as we needed to cater for guests from overseas and Caitriona laid out the option of holding a block of hotel rooms for the wedding weekend so that guests could have priority access to room bookings in this busy seasonal period. Additionally, we had 95 overseas guests who came a week ahead of the wedding – so Caitriona arranged for our guests to have access to booking The Gleneagle Apartments which slept 5+ guests which are situated a mere 150 yards from the Brehon Hotel. The apartments provided 2 separate bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a large living space with a fully equipped kitchen for cooking. The Gleneagle is a sister hotel to The Brehon and so this made for a very affordable option for guests looking to enjoy the beauty of Killarney for more than just the wedding ceremony. This really created an image of The Brehon as a destination wedding venue for us. At all times during this meeting, I was made to feel very comfortable and welcomed by Caitriona (being offered complementary tea and a snack). Taking all of the above into consideration, my wife and I chose to go with The Brehon. Having decided to go with The Brehon as our wedding reception venue, now started the planning of our wedding. The Brehon team were excellent in this regard – Caitriona was our main point of contact, but when needed Sharon (Wedding Sales Manager) and Maurice (Hotel operations manager) assisted to support. Caitriona provided an initial checklist which gave a timeline of when we should complete certain tasks for the wedding. Additionally, Caitriona provided a recommended supplier list for wedding cake, church music, wedding bands, wedding decoration, photographers etc. This was extremely helpful as we were planning a wedding with me living in London and my wife in Texas. To ensure that we were on track for the wedding, Caitriona held multiple calls with us and provided clarity on any questions we had. We visited Caitriona for a one to one meeting twice in the process – in December 2018 and May 2019. This provided excellent assurance that The Brehon was going to be able to deliver the wedding event of our dreams. During our December visit, we were offered a discounted room rate to allow us to experience the hotel. This was very helpful to understand the amenities that our guests would be offered. The breakfast was buffet style and had a wide variety of options. The room we stayed in was very comfortable with all the amenities you expect from a luxurious 4-star hotel. Additionally, during this visit we were given a tour of the two wedding suite options – one being traditionally styled and the other being a more modern design. We were very impressed with both, going with the modern design for the night of the wedding and the night after so as to not feel rushed to pack the next morning. During our May visit, we had a menu tasting which was complementary with our package. Caitriona had warned us to come hungry and she wasn’t wrong. We were given full portions of each of our menu choices so that we could make an informed choice of what to put on our menu for our guests. We decided to go with the lamb shank as our main course and it was sensational – falling off the bone. Initially, I had been eager to have steak on the menu but the lamb was too good to look past. Additionally, from an operational aspect – serving lamb shank versus steak would be far easier to ensure consistent quality during service. A key aspect which my wife wanted to understand was where her and her bridal party could get ready the morning of the wedding. To facilitate this, Caitriona arranged for room 105 to be reserved for the bridal party. This room is adjoined to Pat O’Neill’s salon and meant that the ladies could come and go during the morning between getting their hair styled and most importantly, they were out of the sight of wedding guests and the public. This was truly an amazing option to have and the bridal party enjoyed breakfast on the mezzanine right outside Pat’s salon – resulting in a very calm, relaxed and enjoyable experience for both the bride and the bridal party. As we drew nearer to the wedding date, smaller details needed to be decided on. One of which was transportation to and from the hotel to the church and photographs afterward. Caitriona offered the hotel courtesy car – a top spec 2019 Audi A6 and driver free of charge as a gesture of gratitude to us. This ended up being amazing, the car looked great and our driver Eoin was excellent. Our photographers wanted to take us to the golf club to capture the scenery and Eoin happily obliged, ensuring we had chilled water in the car to keep us cool, calm and collected. The day itself went extremely well. We had a 4pm wedding in St. Mary’s cathedral which meant that we had a very quick turnaround for meal service for the hotel. We had multiple discussions with Caitriona and Maurice who between them delivered a seamless drinks reception and dinner service. We were given a “first look” at the room before guests were brought into the room, during which Maurice provided us with a warm snack to keep us going – again amazing attention to detail. The following morning, following a late night sing song in the residents bar until 4am, we were provided with a very special breakfast. We were given a table with a scenic view and presented with champagne, strawberries & cream as a congratulations from the hotel. Additionally, we were given a beautiful gift from the hotel, consisting of two engraved champagne glasses with our wedding date on the glass. Along with this we were given a bottle of champagne and a photo frame which outlined our wedding timeline – from my first visit in October 2018 to the wedding day in September 2019. All in all, the professionalism and quality of service provided by Caitriona, Sharon and Maurice was spectacular. Every need we had was considered and with that, it allowed us to have the wedding of our dreams and memories for a lifetime.

The wedding package was incomparable to the other hotels that we have viewed. Aside from wonderful menu options, their package includes a harpist or a pianist, table flowers, table plans, chair covers, changeable lighting, candy cart and the Moposa App which really helped us with the planning especially with tracking guest RSVPs. The view is amazing around the hotel and they have huge, clean rooms. Members of staff are warm and very welcoming and would go out of their way to cater to your needs. The chef even cooked me a dinner which was not in the menu anymore. Apparently, I had an outdated menu in the room where I stayed the night before our big day. Our wedding coordinator, Caitriona, was always on top of things, quick to reply and went above and beyond her duty. We'll forever remember her kindness and professionalism. She looked after all the decorations and ensured that all the personal touches we wanted was in place. She kept us on schedule on our wedding day. The Brehon was also very accommodating with our food requests i.e. with our canape options, the bride having a different main course, special food requests from guests and a great children's menu as well. The canapes and the afternoon tea during the champagne reception went down a treat. The dinner was superb! We knew it would be amazing when we had our menu tasting around Easter time this year. Our guests mentioned that there were so much food which was a good complain. Kudos to the chef! The midnight snacks were good as well. The driver of the bridal car whose name we forgot, looked after us well during the photoshoot after the ceremony. We stayed for 2 nights at the Bridal Suite and had an amazing time. We are still buzzing a month after our special day. The Brehon really does live up to their hashtag #LetUsAmazeYou

We worked with Sharon , who we found amazing to deal with. We planned our wedding from Scotland and she was always a phone call away to help with even the smallest of things, some items which were not directly involved with the Brehon, from cake & car recommendations to mini moon locations to visit ! We found the Brehon to be home away from home. We both, along with all our family and friends got ready and left from the Brehon and felt it was like home away from home. We had an amazing 3 nights there celebrating with our friends and family and The Scottish and Irish alike were so impressed with The Brehon. From the front desk, to top notch room service, warm breakfast greetings to an amazing wedding meal followed by late,late drinks in the bar! Each and everyone has expressed how they felt like kings and queens for their few days away! We cannot recommend Sharon and her wonderful team at The Brehon enough! The Brehon feels like family and we cannot wait to visit 'Home' again soon!

Our Fairy-Tale Wedding We had our Wedding here in May 2019, they're wont be enough space here to fully explain how impressed we were but here goes!! From our first show around of the beautiful property we knew this was the PERFECT venue to have our big day. Just to be slightly different i had always envisaged a Disney themed Wedding, and had spent many hours online looking for inspiration. We were immediately put totally at ease by Caitriona the wedding Co Ordinator, who not only shared my name but my love for all things Disney. From the beginning any little requests were being noted down by her and she even offered suggestions and ideas. Once she saw my Disney ideas and what i was Making and buying, her head seemed to fill with more ideas, she went totally above and beyond by altering the hotels usual offering to include Disney themed menus, seating plan & table numbers. Just to make they're jobs harder my husband and I are both chefs and many of our guests work in the hotel industry so the gauntlet was thrown down to Chad Byrne and his team early in the time.Sitting down to talk to Chad was great fun with lots of ideas being thrown around, ultimately we all agreed we need a bit of a WOW factor during main course. He came back to us with a concept of individual portions of salt baked cod cracked open at each table, we tried to keep this a secret from family & friends as i really wanted to see they're reaction on the night,little did we know that the hotel had kept a surprise from us. Before main course i noticed Food stations being pushed in the banqueting room, they had decided to cook the stir-fry vegetables that accompanied our Cod main course right in front of our eyes, definitely a WOW for all our guests!! These Stations were again used for the evening food where the chefs were front and centre cooking in front of our guests including special fried rice boxes, gourmet hot-dogs. We cannot praise highly enough the Brehon management and team overall for making our Special day one that we can never forget.We cannot possibly mention everyone, but from reception to housekeeping to all service staff it was quite simply FAULTLESS Catriona & Gavin Nolan

We chose to get married in the Brehon in May. From start to finish the team at the Brehon looked after our every need. They talked us through all our choices, providing lots of information and their experience to guide the planning process. The room was decorated simply and elegantly for the ceremony and the meal. The wedding planning team made my husband and I feel relaxed and at ease in the build up to the ceremony. Our guests thoroughly enjoyed the fantastic meal at the hotel and the food for the afters. I would recommend the Brehon as a wedding venue.

The best hotel we’ve ever stayed in, staff super helpful, service is outstanding, very flexible and satisfied our every request. Food was delicious including presentation of dishes. It was a great pleasure to be dealing with the hotel from start to finish. We would highly recommend The Brehon Hotel as a wedding venue. We had an amazing wedding day at this hotel and couldn't fault it at all! A very well done to all at The Brehon Hotel, you truly live up to "exceeding expectations"!! The day was perfect, start to finish. Everything appeared seamless, professional and perfectly executed by the team. Caitriona was spot on with everything, she was on hand to assist with anything and she really looked after us. Our guests all really enjoyed themselves and to this day I am still hearing positive feedback and how much they all loved the hotel. The steak.....what can I say that pretty much every guest has said to us. To have steak on a wedding menu is fantastic, the fact that the staff asked how each guest would like it cooked at a WEDDING is surprising and the fact that it was executed perfectly for each of them....well...it's true...the food exceeded everyone's expectations. Compliments to the Chef and our thanks to all in the kitchen! Our guests had so much fun at the drinks reception, they felt they were abroad being out on the lawn, one of two drinks reception areas at the hotel.Top marks to the staff for being so attentive to us and our guests. They were excellent, with special thanks to The Brehon's chauffeur Owen, a lovely guy who went above and beyond his role on the day helping us out with even the smallest of details. All of the staff at the Brehon were so helpful at all times, but in particular Caitriona Ashe was an absolute dream to work with. She was so organised, pleasant, helpful and efficient, offering advice and guidance as needed and always going above and beyond for us, for example the table numbers we had romantic quotes and she put relevant pictures alongside them and designed them beautifully, this is only one small example! As well as this, wonderful food, fabulous décor and everything went very smoothly. The driver of the Audi supplied (can't remember his name) was also amazing, he relaxed us and gave us little tips before we walked down the aisle! The day was just amazing and we are so grateful to all the staff at the Brehon.

We had our wedding in the Brehon in August. Best time of my life! The hotel could not do enough for us! The staff are amazing, the surroundings are fantastic. The food is out of this world, 169 people ate and not one complaint! The lamb shank is literally to die for! All guests were amazed at the size of there bedrooms, standard rooms are bigger than normal. The bridal suite is outstanding only regret was we didn't spend much time in there because we were so busy with our guests. Highly recommend this hotel!!
