We visited The Coniston Hotel Wedding Fair in September 2023. This was the first venue we went to look at and we instantly fell in love with it. The surrounding scenery, lake and the hotel itself, really sold it to us, so much so, that we booked a provisional date for September 2024. The Coniston wedding coordinators, Rachel, Katie and Rebecca, were so helpful and answered all our queries over the 12 months. They kept in touch throughout the process and nothing was too much trouble. On our wedding day, the sun shone and everything went to plan. Our guests really enjoyed the day and can’t stop talking about it. If we could have the opportunity, we would do it all again! Myself and Tyler would like to start by saying a HUGE thank you to you all! You were all absolutely amazing, from the first day we came to look around right until check out. The Coniston was everything we could have dreamed of for our special day. The location, the staff, the views, the decor - it was all perfect! I would like to say a special thank you for all the effort that was put into our pre-wedding meal, nothing was too much trouble and the little details of the menus were so lovely and thoughtful. Everybody had a great time and the room was perfect for all the little ones to play together. The wedding day could not have gone any better, not a thing went wrong. We honestly cannot thank The Coniston enough for helping create the most perfect wedding day. The venue is just stunning and every member of staff was incredible. The wedding team were so helpful throughout the entire planning process, and answering my endless questions so patiently and with no bother! On the day, they were spot on, from creating the perfect decoration set up to checking up throughout the day to make sure everything was as we wanted. Perfect day! From our initial enquiry and visit we decided the Coniston was right for our intimate wedding. We booked a date, just 4 months later. The communication from the wedding team was excellent before the wedding and on the day all staff were professional and fabulous. There were only 10 of us, and our vision of a relaxed, fun day with our loved ones, was absolutely executed thanks to the staff. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was brilliant. The visibility of management was a great plus. More hotels and venues should adopt this approach. Big shout out to Rebecca, who from our first visit and working on our wedding day, was friendly, and professional and listened to our requests. Thank you for a special, fun day full of love.

There are simply not enough words to say how amazing our wedding was, and the incredible part the Coniston team played in this. From our first visit in January, they have consistently made us feel assured, supported and understood. We wanted an intimate ceremony with a bespoke menu, and we really struggled to find a venue that could do this to a high standard. The Coniston made all our wishes (and more) come true, and our day went above and beyond our expectations. A huge thanks to Rachel, Rebecca, Thomas and Ben who made our vision a reality. Thomas designed the most incredible seven-course menu that left our guests (and ourselves) in total awe of his talent. Thank you so much for everything. On the day the team just made everything happen, nothing was too much trouble and everything was 5-star. Seeing your vision come to life is so special and we can't thank the team enough for everything they did. Every single member of staff at the Coniston is amazing. All of our guests commented on the incredible hospitality they received and the friendliness of everyone. We feel so lucky to have found such a special place that we can revisit, time and time again.

A massive thank you to the whole team at Coniston for an amazing job on our special day! This venue has meant a lot to us over the years having first attended 9 years ago for Simon’s sister’s wedding and it has only gone from strength to strength over the years. We’ve stayed many times for a spa get away and it truly exceed our expectations on our wedding day! Rachel is a fabulous addition to the wedding team! Having met Rachel in the month before our wedding we felt instantly assured by her confidence, patience and responsive communication. Making sure each detail of our day was considered and working closely with our suppliers. Rachel was great on the day too, coordinating everything and making the event as stress free as possible for us. The food on the day was fantastic!! We had our menu tasting a year ago and thoroughly enjoyed that experience, but you always have the concern as to whether the food will be the same standard on mass…and I can safely say it is! We’ve had so many compliments from guests (especially on the beef) about how good the food was. The presentation when catering for nearly 80 guests was impressive. Compliments to the chefs! The Coniston makes an ideal wedding venue with being able to stay the night before the wedding and get ready in the morning from the comfort of your room. The bridal suit has a glorious view over the lake and plenty of space for the whole bridal party to get ready. My only comment here would be to make it look like the Dales Room and it would be phenomenal! Overall the staff really make this hotel! Each member of staff is so friendly, welcoming and professional, from the bar staff during the evening do, to room service on the morning of the wedding, everyone made our day special. We even had an unexpected additional guest ‘an OAP Labrador’ who was so accommodated by the staff and welcomed into the wedding breakfast in his little basket! This meant so much to his owners and to us for making our day so stress-free. I would highly recommend holding your wedding at the Coniston, you won’t regret it!

We had the most amazing wedding day at the Coniston Hotel Country Estate & Spa. The ceremony held in the Garnett room was beautiful and the setting definitely made it so special and romantic. We were lucky to get some great photos on the jetty by the lake. Our guests had a fantastic time with many commenting on how much they had enjoyed staying at the hotel. It definitely has a cosy and relaxing feel perfect for a winter wedding. Special thanks goes to the wedding team and all the staff at the Coniston Hotel they truly have fantastic customer service skills and work hard to ensure your day is truly magical.

A beautiful and well organised day. The staff were very polite and helpful, on reception and around the hotel. I didn’t personally get the opportunity to meet the owner of the establishment, but he arranged for free transfer to the lake for photos and included a bottle of champagne. This was very much appreciated as the photographer only had a small car. The views are amazing for photos and we got some amazing ones! The waiters during the wedding breakfast were lovely and made sure we were well looked after. It was fantastic to have full use of Winstons barn all day, especially as it was a small group. Great value for money all round and we enjoyed the activities included in our package. The only downside was a 10:30am start at the spa the following day. In hindsight we should have asked to alter this, but we missed the first few hours due to packing up and checking out. It took longer than anticipated. Other than that, a very enjoyable and memorable time.

Matthew and I would like to say a BIG thank you to the Coniston hotel and all the staff that made our day so perfect! We had looked at a few venues before deciding on the Coniston, and it was the best decision we’ve ever made! As well as falling in love with the venue, we both felt that’s the coordinators really cared, something which they certainly showcased on the day. From enquiry, to booking, and throughout planning, the wedding team were always super quick and helpful with answering our questions (even just general wedding queries...I had plenty!). I had no worries that the team would look after everything on the day. As soon as I handed over the decorations the day before the wedding they looked after everything. They set up the room exactly how I’d imagined and they made sure everyone was in the right place as the right time. So many guests commented on how good the food was, and many said it’s the best meal they have ever had at a wedding. The evening team were also amazing! Dave really made sure we were looked after and that we had both had a drink in our hand! Everyone says that on your day little stuff will go wrong and that’s ok, but I can genuinely say that it was perfect, which truly is testament to the Coniston hotel wedding team. Special mention to Sharon, Sophie Baker, Sophie Cokell, and Dave.

It was the first venue we visited and we felt that it would be the perfect setting for our special day. However, we decided to visit a few more venues over the coming weeks but during these visits we always ended up comparing them to The Coniston... Needless to say we ended up booking for Friday 21st July 2017 with the help of Sharon, who was excellent throughout the booking process and was totally transparent about all the pricing. From the moment we booked, all the wedding coordinators were readily available and extremely quick in responding to all our questions/queries via email and phone. After a few months we found out that our designated wedding coordinator would be Sophie Baker - we cannot praise and thank Sophie enough. We felt that she constantly went above and beyond her role, accommodating all our requests and often making herself available at short notice to meet with us. She constantly put us at ease and calmed our nerves on the run-up to the big day. She was particularly attentive to the finer details - such as the 'finishing touches' and decorations on the day that made it a truly special and personalised experience. Nothing ever seemed like too much trouble and she was always calm and reassuring, even when we were unloading our cars full of table decorations, bunting (180 metres!), signs, table plans and large pieces of wood in varying sizes! She also assembled out wedding cake, and did a beautiful job. Clearly there was a lot of work done behind the scenes to make our wedding day run as smoothly as it did, we would love to thank everyone personally but there are probably too many people to mention. A special thank you also has to go to the member of staff who looked after us during our evening celebrations (we can't remember his name, that's probably his fault though for constantly bringing us free drinks!). All our guests seemed to enjoy the day as much as we did, and were constantly praising the venue and how beautiful it was.

We had the most wonderful day which ran smoothly all because of the amazing staff who helped make it so special, all the stress was took away from us and we were able to relax and enjoy the day. We visited the Coniston Hotel as the first venue to look at following our engagement and instantly fell in love with the venue, atmosphere and staff! We looked no further and every step of the way the wedding team were always on hand to answer questions and make us feel welcome. Nothing was ever too much to ask and from using a big yellow tractor as our wedding transport to walking our dogs down the aisle as ring bearers there was nothing that the team wouldn't make possible for us! The team worked above and beyond to create the wedding we truly only imagined we would have and honestly made our day a perfect one. The other hotel staff are always welcoming and again cannot seem to do enough for you and it is truly highly recommended. We cannot thank you enough for making our day so special. So we decided to get married but the question was where? So we checked online for days then we came across the coniston hotel looked beautiful in the pictures so we decided to go view it, it was even more beautifull when we saw the venue. Our hearts were set on it so we decided to go ahead with the venue. There must have been alot of visits to the venue but every visit we fell in love with it even more, the staff are just soo nice and helpful. We must have messaged Sharon and Sophie like loads but every time she was so helpful. I was so stressful as how we would do everything but Sharon took all that stress off us the day before the wedding and on the wedding day she made sure everything was perfect. Our wedding day was the perfect day it was everything we asked for. The food was superb the service was faultless the guests couldn't stop talking about how exceptional coniston was and how amazing the wedding was. The whole process from start to finish was completely stress free thanks to their reassurance and guidance. The wedding day itself couldn't have ran any smoother and we really didn't need to worry about a thing (and I'm a worrier!) as everything was organised and kept under control by the wedding coordinators. The Bannister Suite and conservatory were decorated perfectly right down to the last detail and we received so many compliments throughout the day from guests on how lovely the venue was. The hotel itself is gorgeous and extremely spacious avoiding the feeling of being trapped inside on the torrential day that it was. It really did work perfectly. The food was also absolutely amazing and of very high quality. All of the wedding coordinators that we were in contact with in the lead up to our wedding day were fantastic but especially Sharon who saw us through from start to finish, we really can't thank you enough for making our wedding day so special. Well, well, well, what can we say?! We stumbled across The Coniston Hotel on our way to The Lake District, we were recently engaged and thought that looks like a possible wedding venue! Once home we arranged an initial visit and consultation with Sharon - and it is fair to say that we never looked back! The hotel has the most beautiful setting and surroundings, with a first class team of staff. This combination was an absolute winner. During the months of preparation nothing was to much trouble. Both Sharon and Sophie were so friendly, professional and more than accommodating. On the 'big day' everything was perfect, we had the most incredible wedding day and for this we extend sincere thanks to Sharon and the entire team. We were made to feel a million dollars, and isn't this what every bride and groom dreams of?
