We had a beautiful wedding day thanks to the wonderful team at Barnabrow House and the stunning venue. The grounds are so full of character and charm, our guests were raving about it. The team were very accommodating of all our requests and really made the day feel like ‘us’. The food was also spectacular, and any dietary requirements didn’t feel like an afterthought, which we really appreciated.

From the moment we visited, we knew this was the perfect wedding venue for us. What really stood out was how intimate, personal, and private it feels. It creates such a relaxed atmosphere where you can truly enjoy your day surrounded by the people you love. One of our favourite things was that it's so dog friendly. Being able to have our dogs involved in our wedding made the day even more special, and it's something we struggled to find elsewhere. We also absolutely loved the resident donkeys and goats—they add so much charm and character to the venue—and the beautiful natural grounds provide the most stunning backdrop. The food was incredible and clearly freshly made, with every dish being absolutely delicious. The rooms are cosy, unique, and full of character, making the whole experience feel even more special for us and our guests. Finally, we can't praise the staff enough. They were so accommodating, friendly, and genuinely helpful throughout the entire planning process, making everything feel effortless and stress-free. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and they helped make our wedding day everything we had hoped for. We couldn't recommend this venue more highly to anyone looking for a beautiful, relaxed, and truly memorable place to get married.

Barnabrow House was the perfect location for our wedding. We were so lucky that they had our chosen date available. The venue is beautiful and full of character. It definitely suits all types of weddings - big and small. There's plenty of room, but also lots of smaller, intimate spaces. We had a small wedding of 25 people and it felt truly special. We got beatuiful weather and had the ceremony outside in the fairy grove. It felt absolutely magical walking through the trees and down the aisle while our wonderful musician, Kendal Moody played for us. Geraldine from Barnabrow was fantastic to work with on the run-up to the wedding and made sure we had everything we needed to know in advance. They have a very well-organised process for ensuring that all decisions are made before the date so that things can run smoothly. The staff on the day were also brilliant and were so accommodating with any requests. The food was perfect and all of our guests commented on how nice it was. Barnabrow really made the whole process so easy and fun.

I got married at Barnabrow House in June, and honestly, the whole experience was wonderful from beginning to end. A huge part of that was down to Geraldine and her amazing team – they made everything feel so easy. Any question or worries we had in the lead-up to the day was answered straight away, which really helped us feel calm, excited, and ready to enjoy it all. We had an outdoor civil ceremony surrounded by beautiful nature, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. It was peaceful, relaxed, and full of charm – we even had donkeys grazing in the background, which brought such a lovely, unique touch to the moment. The venue itself is stunning, with so many gorgeous spots for photos – I can’t wait to see how they turned out. Kenneth and the team were brilliant – the food was absolutely delicious and the service was spot on. We danced the night away, and it was so nice to step out onto the deck to cool down in the warm summer air. And just when we thought it couldn’t get any better, it did. We had our Day 2 celebrations at Barnabrow as well, and honestly, it was even better than the wedding day! Everyone was so relaxed, and we had the most incredible evening filled with joy and energy. We mixed an Irish céilí with some Latin flair – tango and bachata – and even threw in some Bollywood dance moves. It was the perfect setting, as we transformed the entire restaurant into a dance floor. The atmosphere, the freedom, and the fun made it the best day – one I will remember for the rest of my life. Breakfast every morning was another highlight – a generous buffet followed by Eggs Benedict… I definitely wasn’t counting calories! Our guests also had great things to say about their rooms – everyone was so comfortable and well looked after. I truly couldn’t recommend Barnabrow House highly enough – it was the perfect place to celebrate such a special time in our lives, and we’re so grateful to everyone there for helping create memories we’ll treasure forever

We had the most incredible experience for our wedding at Barnabrow. What an incredible setting for such a special event. Everything from start to finish was flawless - the communication and planning, the set up on the day were all perfect. The canapés, meal and midnight munchies were excellent. Greta and Geraldine were great to work with and could not have been more accommodating and helpful. Our guests are still commenting on how beautiful the day was.

We had the most amazing time at Barnabrow Country House. We spent 3 nights on-site with all of our guests. The wedding and everything else went so smoothly thanks to the wonderful staff and our wedding coordinator Greta who went above and beyond to make our special day absolutely perfect. Our guests were raving about the venue, the lovely and comfortable rooms, the beautiful grounds and the absolutely amazing food. Many said it was the best wedding they had ever been to. Absolutely 10/10. I would recommend Barnabrow to anyone who wants an intimate wedding venue with a cosy atmosphere and food to die for!

We loved every minute of our wedding weekend at Barnabow. The setting was magical with lots of different spaces for our guests to relax in. The kids loved the goats and donkeys and had plenty of space to play. Many of our guests praised how well looked after they were by the staff and how delicious the food was. Our ceremony and each stage of our wedding celebration was managed flawlessly by Greta and Adam and we really appreciated the way they looked after us all through the day. We were married at Barnabrow House and could not have picked a more perfect place. The venue is so unique, charming and a perfect place for a romantic wedding! We had 40 people stay for 5 days and it was an incredible B&B on top of being a lovely venue for the wedding. Our guests had so much fun interacting with the donkeys and wandering through the fairy trails. The grounds are stunning and every day we woke up to gorgeous views and a wonderful home-cooked breakfast at their tea rooms. From start to finish, the wedding team was available to answer all of my questions and help plan. We had multiple dinners with delicious food. It was an incredible experience and we highly recommend booking any event at this venue or just coming to stay at their B&B!

We were married under the beautiful trees outside Barnabrow House in April of this year. From the time my bridesmaids and I arrived, Geraldine and all of the staff ensured our wedding went flawlessly. They are so professional and efficient. Barnabrow feels like a home away from home for us. It's absolutely beautiful and has such a relaxed atmosphere. Our wedding dinner was delicious, and everyone kept commenting on how beautiful the food was. The bedrooms are gorgeous and really comfortable. I had a great night's sleep before our big day! We had a small wedding here, and it was everything we wanted. I fully recommend doing an outdoor ceremony if the weather holds up, as it was magical. Barnabrow was also the perfect size for a small wedding, as it felt intimate and relaxed. The food as well was to die for. We had so many guests rave about the food and tell us they were too full to eat cake when it came out. I've also recommended friends visit just for the food alone.

Barnabrow Country House was such a beautiful venue and really made our wedding day so much more special. The grounds, dining hall and reception area are all stunning and there are so many spots to take beautiful pictures. All of our guests loved it and are still talking about how fantastic it was, especially the delicious food. From our initial viewing of the venue to sorting final details in the lead-up to the wedding, the staff at Barnabrow were incredibly friendly and helpful. They ensured that everything went smoothly and kept the day feeling very relaxed. We couldn’t speak highly enough of Barnabrow and were very happy with our choice of wedding venue, we would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Oh my gosh, from start to finish everything was amazing. I booked my wedding three years ago with Barnbrow Country House (Susan). The minute we drove up the drive way we knew this was or place, even with two lock downs we felt so at ease with this venue. If you are looking for a quirky venue, which I was, this is your place. By god did it exceed our expectations from the beginning. Our guests were amazed with the quirkiness of there rooms. Our food was 5 stars, all homemade. If I was to do it all over again, Barnbrow Country house would always be the place. Thank you to all the staff and to Susan, who I became friends with the minute I drove up that drive with my now husband. You all made our day so perfect. The guests loved how different it was to a traditional hotel wedding. The rooms were so clean, and breakfast amazing. Thanks again! xx

Barnabrow staff were simply wonderful for us throughout all of our changes of dates due to Covid. We got married here with four guests, and had the most wonderful ceremony in the fairy fort, followed by a sumptuous meal. Three months later, when restrictions eased somewhat, we were finally able to have the day we wanted to have in March 2020 with all of our family and friends. The food, service, craic, weather and location we're all exceptional. Susan, Jess, Ruth, Geraldine and of course the kitchen and service staff really made our day so special. We booked our wedding in 2019 and, after two postponements, we were so delighted that Barnabrow was still available to us. From the outset, we found the communication very prompt and efficient from the wedding team, led brilliantly by Geraldine, Susan and Ruth. There were very few issues that could not be solved by an email or a phone call, so it made the whole process so easy. We stayed in one of the cottages the night before and it exceeded all of our expectations. It was cosy, spacious, comfortable and perfect for photos on the day. The conservatory was bathed in a lovely autumn light, and felt so intimate. The food was truly delicious, thank you Adrian and team, and will be talked about for a long time to come! The bar staff were professional and pleasant. Our guests loved their rooms, and the rooms in the main house were beautiful. Breakfast was delicious, served in a gorgeous room with a cosy fire. We loved our day and are so happy that we chose Barnabrow Country House. We are looking forward to visiting the Tea Rooms for afternoon tea to reminisce on our time there.

I’m not long back after extended travelling and wanted to write to you re my booking with you at Barnabrow on 19 July. In short I want to extend a huge THANK YOU from myself and Julien to everyone at Barnabrow, and here’s why: We had high expectations for our wedding, however Barnabrow managed to exceed them on every level. The service you provided on the day was beyond what we could have hoped for. Everyone of the staff were really friendly and engaging with everyone. Many of the wedding guests have commented on it. They were also really efficient and carried out their work on the day efficiently and professionally. The food was truly amazing. From the breakfast experience to the wedding lunch and also the food provided later in the evening. The wedding lunch was exceptional and I can’t count the amount of positive feedback I have received. The shared plates was unique and delicious, and everything was cooked to perfection. We would like to thank you all so much for our recent wedding at Barnabrow House (July 6th 2019) Myself and Stephen were blown away by Barnabrow from day one and after Seeing the venue knew it was for us. It was actually the only venue we visited. From the day we booked to check out the day after everything at Barnabrow has been so easy and made the whole process of wedding planning so much less stressful. Every single guest on the day commented on the beauty of the house and the grounds, the very relaxed feeling and the outstanding food. It was our main hope for the day that everyone was well fed and relaxed and Barnabrow most definitely made this possible. I would like to thank the reception/ wedding planning team, especially Amy, Susan, Jessica and Jess who were so helpful in guiding us through the entire process and the fastest email reply’s I have ever experienced. Also thank you for being so accommodating to guests of mine who changed accommodation and had issues the day of. It was very much appreciated. Can I in particular pay complement to the three bar men on the night. I apologise I didn’t get all their names. For the size of the wedding compared to the bar there was never a wait and everyone was complimenting them for their professional management of the bar and speed. Can I pay a particular compliment to one of the bar men, Blake( I hope I have the name right). On the night we needed something to eat for my Mom who has recently been ill. As she had gone to Bed we never thought to keep her some of the afters food and he really went above and beyond to help us in getting something for her late that night. He looked around and managed to find something suitable. This small gesture meant a lot to us and we are very grateful to him and impressed by his professionalism. We hope you will acknowledge this with him and please pass on our sincere gratitide. We cannot fault the amazing service we received from Barnabrow from day one and would have no hesitation in recommending the venue to anyone for any occasion. We had our Wedding in Barnabrow last Month and I must say that from the second we drove up we knew it was the place for us and after dealing with Susan and Amy that certainty was further cemented. They are the most amazing ladies you could hope to have helping you plan your wedding. They were super fast in all their responses and were always there to answer all our hundreds of questions! The day itself was pure magic, the sun shone even through there was a storm the day before and after and we'd like to think that the magic that Barnabrow holds was sprinkled on us that day. We got ready in the Cottages which are huge and well equipped, we had family from abroad and our own kids as well so the cottages were ideal for our needs. The drinks reception and canapés were delicious and with the weather so nice we were even able to have our musicians play outside while everyone enjoyed the decking and outdoor seating. Now the Food, there is only one word for the Food That Stuart sends out of his kitchen, Flawless! Every single guest adored the food and many have said they will be going back again for sunday lunch. The grounds are beautiful, spread out and quiet, but do bear in mind that there is a lot of steps if you have people in a wheelchair or elderly but there is always a solution so don't let that deter you from going to take a look at Barnabrow, you wont be disappointed. A special mention too for Marcel and all the amazing staff that looked after us during the day, you were all friendly, happy and courteous to the guests and many were singing your praises the next day! As we were there for a few days we had a BBQ the day after in the cottage, to be fair we had to eat inside as the weather was so shocking outside but wow again the food was amazing and lots of it. From both of us thank you so much for helping make our wedding such an amazing and memorable day.

The most amazing wedding venue from the get go! We honestly could not have asked for a better day. From planning stages, to the food tasting, to the day itself we were highly impressed with the high quality of everything. Barnabrow country house is so special , so unique and from the minute I saw it i fell in love with the place. The decoration , the cosy friendly atmosphere just warms peoples hearts It really is a little piece of heaven in the cork ???? We can’t fault a simple thing! Barnabrow House, where do I start firstly by saying THANK YOU!!! We had our wedding here Easter weekend 20th of April 2019. From the very moment, we met the owner Geraldine we knew this was where we were going to get married. We got married in the fairy grove on the grounds of Barnabrow, which was like something from a fairytale. The venue itself is magical and amazing, the staff were outstanding on the day. The food was top class, and the management staff of Susan, Amy, Kristine were soooo helpful and couldn't do enough they worked very hard to ensure the day went smoothly. We will never forget our wedding day here it will stay with us forever. We stayed in the cottages the night before which are part of Barnabrow and the space and beauty of the cottages we're unbelievable. This place is a hidden gem in the heart of East Cork, we will be back very soon to eat and stay here, along with our family. Along with many other people who came to our wedding !! I could just go on and on, we left with smiles, we were left with great memories of this beautiful well taken care of venue, very caring staff, excellent owner. Accommodation in Barnabrow has rooms also in the venue it was just breathtaking, attention to detail was sublime, the breakfast after the next day was the icing on the cake, it was delicious, again staff so attentive. So if you want good service, top class food, amazing staff, and unique wedding here is the place to go too 10/10 .

We had our wedding at Barnabrow House in July 2018. Our wedding was organised my parents in Cork as we are based in Australia. Barnabrow was very good at communicating everything by email, and they were really easy to deal with. I know Mum & Dad found them very helpful on the ground and any changes we wanted to make (eg last min menu change) were not a problem! The rooms were beautiful and everyone commented on how unique the place was! We loved the house and gardens and it had a lovely rustic feeling. Lots of great spots for photos too. We were lucky with the weather so it was fabulous having the drinks reception on the outside deck. Dinner was AMAZING so many people told us how it was the best food they had at a wedding and there was so much choice too! We were stuffed! The restaurant and bar area was perfect for our part of about 85 people. Have to say the bar manager was sooo accommodating and helpful all night long, and had no problems with any of our requests. I’ve been trying to write this review for a while now, but I’ve struggled to find the words to express how amazing our wedding last month was. On the first day we drove up the tree-lined entrance, and waved hello to the resident donkeys, we instantly knew Barnabrow was special. Nestled into the East Cork countryside, the higgeldy-piggeldy layout of the buildings is perfect for anyone looking for rustic charm. Which is exactly what we were going for! The staff in Barnabrow couldn’t have been more lovely and helpful, from the waiters and bar staff to the chef Stuart, who agreed to help look for my Mum’s missing fascinator (which obviously wouldn’t be in the kitchen, and which eventually turned up tucked into her bouquet!)! We mostly dealt with Amy and Susan over email while organising the wedding, and they were just brilliant - nothing was too much trouble, even when we had an unexpected extra guest added 48 hours before the big day! Christine, who was there with us on the day of the wedding was absolutely wonderful, making sure the whole day ran smoothly, and that we remembered to eat! Everyone of the staff that we met were fab! The food was second to none - before the wedding people kept telling me that I would be too busy to enjoy the meal, but there was no way I was missing that! From the black pudding salad starter, to the chocolate brownie, it was all scrumptious! So many of our guests have said it was the best meal they’d had! We had the most amazing day, starting with our lovely humanist ceremony in the sunlit ceremony room, and finishing with a trad session in the bar that lasted into the wee hours, and we wouldn’t change a thing! If a relaxed, charmingly rustic venue is what you’re looking for, then Barnabrow House is for you! Thanks so much to everyone at Barnabrow for the absolute best day!

We had such a beautiful day in Barnabrow House for our wedding. The venue is so beautiful and unique and I loved that we had the whole place to ourselves.
