Simply perfect from start to finish. The staff are extremely helpful and pleasant, should it be dropping things off in the lead up or welcoming guests on the day. The way the room was set up for our ceremony just blew us both away, and the transformation for the reception was every bit as good. The gardens and surrounding grounds are perfect for photos. The service and food were top class, and everyone we spoke to commented on how good it was and the fantastic dancing waitress. This is the perfect venue, and Deirdre, Aisling, and the team will leave no stone unturned to make your day as special as the entire An Grianan team make you feel.

We had the best day, and a lot of it was down to the team in An Grianan. Nothing was a bother, and Deirdre suggested so many great ideas to us in the lead-up to the wedding. It's telling that she is so experienced in helping couples plan their special day. The food on the day was amazing, with guests even being offered extras. For me, one of the main things at a wedding is great food, and we couldn't have asked for any better. I couldn't recommend An Grianan enough. For those living in Derry, it's in an excellent spot, not too far away but also far away enough to feel like you are having a unique experience. We were able to avail of Grianan fort for some of our wedding photos, which have turned out amazing.

First of all, Deirdre is amazing! She made everything so easy, and we never had to worry about anything knowing Deirdre was there. Communication from start to finish was great. Aisling was also fantastic, so friendly and accommodating. They both made our day so special and flawless. The hotel itself, from the reception to the rooms and the food, we couldn't fault anything. What can I say about An Grianan Hotel! We had an absolute dream wedding here. Deirdre was an absolute pleasure to deal with during the entire process from first booking till we checked out the day after the wedding. Any questions we had were no issue. The food was absolutely amazing. So many of our guests commented on the food - the portion sizes were huge. There was definitely no dearth of anyone going hungry. The function room is just stunning. The circular room is so lovely and beautiful. Even a big wedding feels quite intimate because nobody feels like they are shoved in a corner out of the way. We got married during Storm Amy. There was a red weather warning in place, and the electricity went out. The generator had some issues, but everything was dealt with so professionally. It didn't cause any disruptions to our day at all. So many of our guests commented on the hotel staff - how lovely and professional they were, but also great with kids. They really took the time to speak to kids at their level rather than talking down to them as so many adults can do. All our props and extra bits (memory table, glow sticks, etc) were dealt with very professionally and organised. Everything was checked in and listed when we dropped them off at the hotel, and everything was cleared up and boxed again the morning after. We didn't have to worry about anything going missing or being forgotten. We really just had the most amazing day, and I couldn't imagine going anywhere else for our wedding day.

Had the most amazing wedding day at An Grianan Hotel. From organising to the day itself, everything went perfectly, and a lot of the credit goes to the staff and An Grianan; nothing was too much or too little to ask for. It was absolutely stunning, and the food was amazing. Each and every staff member who attended did the hotel so proud, and I am forever grateful and happy I chose this hotel.

We got married on 30/8/25, and it was absolutely unbelievable. It was everything we could have hoped for and more. Everyone who attended our wedding said it was the best wedding they had ever been to. The hotel is beautiful, the staff is amazing, and Deirdre is outstanding. We booked our wedding in 2023 shortly after we got engaged, and after looking at a couple of venues initially, once we met with Deidre and seen the amazing facilities at An Grianan, we literally tore up our list of venues we still had to meet with because we knew straight away that it would be a waste of time - we had no doubt where we were choosing. Aside from the beautiful location and amazing venue, what made the difference for us was just how helpful and reassuring Deidre was. Being newly engaged yet nervous and slightly overwhelmed about all the planning that lay ahead, Deidre was an incredible calming presence and immediately put our minds at ease. She is so friendly and welcoming, and left us in no doubt that she and her amazing team knew exactly what they were doing, which took weight off our shoulders straight away. Being the wonderful woman she is, she sat us down for a cup of coffee and a chat and gave us loads of general wedding advice, too, which settled any nerves and for which we will be eternally grateful. Over the last few years, every time we popped in to pay off some of our wedding bill, we always stopped in for dinner because the food in the Grianan is absolutely fantastic. All the staff always greeted us warmly and always enquired about how we were doing and how our wedding planning was going - it's just an amazing team in there, which feels like a big family, and we're so thrilled to have had them make our big day the best day ever. My wife and I can't speak highly enough of Deidre and her team - they really are outstanding. The biggest compliment I can give them is that even now, a few weeks after our wedding day, we're still receiving tons of messages from family and friends saying how brilliant it was and how smoothly everything ran. We literally had nothing to worry about on the day. Everything was on schedule, the food was amazing, and the staff were simply outstanding. Our honeymoon suite was unbelievable too. We had our wedding here a few days ago and I cannot recommend or thank An Grianan Hotel enough. From the first meeting with Aisling, who answered our hundred questions!! And just made us feel so relaxed and supported throughout. The beautifully decorated room, food and warmth of all the hotel staff were just wonderful. We are still getting messages from guests about how amazing the dinner and service were. Deirdre and Aisling were amazing on the day, and everything just flowed so well, we didn’t have to worry about anything- it was so under control! Then the FOOD, my goodness, where do I start? Every single one of our guests complimented the meal, including ourselves. The An Grianan Hotel Staff did everything to ensure that we had the perfect wedding day. No stone was left unturned by them. They sat down with us and planned everything to a T. They treat each wedding individually, like it is for one of their own family. All of our guests commented on how good the food service was and how friendly the staff were. We got married on 31st May 2025. We heard great things about An Grianan so we looked forward to their wedding fayre, where we met with Aisling and Deirdre. We booked our provisional date on that day as we were so impressed with the hotel and both wedding coordinators. The food and service were 10/10. The girls have the place run like a well-oiled machine and are very on top of things. Their communication on the lead up to the wedding and after was very efficient. We received so much feedback from the guests regarding how good the food was and how attentive the staff were. We had a few attendees who were gluten-free vegetarians, and one with allergies and the menu had something to suit everyone. We had many vendors on the day and there was plenty of room for them. They have gardens to the side of the hotel, which makes for great photos. Thank you to Deirdre and Aisling for their fantastic service. We look forward to returning!

We had the best day celebrating our wedding in An Grainan Hotel. The staff were just fabulous, so friendly, nothing was a bother. You can tell it's a family-run hotel. Deirdre was so helpful and accommodating on the run up to our wedding and Emma Rose and the team looked after us so well on the day as Deirdre's daughter was getting married the same day as us. Our guests had a fantastic also, they are still raving about the food and the staff. It's no wonder this place continually wins awards for weddings. Highly recommend!

An Grianan was one of the easiest if not the best vendor we worked with throughout the whole planning process. It just shows why they have won so many awards, they are out of this world. The dedication and commitment to showcasing the best of the best is unbelievable and anything we asked for was no bother at all. There was no hesitation not matter how ridiculous our ideas were. Every time we walked into the hotel we were greeted personally by all members of staff which made us feel at ease, so calm and chilled. Our guests haven't stopped talking about how well the day ran and how well they were all treated. The dinner and buffet were outstanding as well as the service. The staff from all areas of the hotel are a credit and do their jobs with such pride and enjoyment. 100% we would recommend An Grianan hosting a wedding, one of the best decisions we made. Deirdre, There are no words to describe how perfect our day went and there aren’t enough words to thank you, Aisling, and all the hotel staff for your part in that. I always said from the beginning that of all my wedding stress and worry, none of it was for the hotel or the meal. You made the planning process so easy and smooth, no question was too small and all my questions/emails were answered quickly and clearly. On the day itself – everything was run with military precision but with a friendly smile. I had complete faith in you and your team and you went above and beyond all expectations. All of our guests commented on how beautiful the function room was, how amazing the food was and how friendly and efficient the staff was. So many people commented on how each table was served each course in a timely manner – not 10 mins after the top table, etc; each course arrived quickly and hot, and every course was delicious. This is a massive accomplishment especially in a wedding of 250+ people with 26 tables to serve! The level of staffing was incredible – at a fully packed wedding there were no long wait times at the bar and nothing was a problem for any member of staff. The whole day ran so smoothly. You and your team are experts at what you do. I can't believe it's all over now but I will always be so glad we chose the An Grianán for our special day.
