From the moment we stepped foot in Langton's for our initial show around with Sean, we knew that the venue and the staff here were 2nd to none. Sean and Louise, from day 1, honestly made the whole experience perfectly seamless. They couldn't do enough for us, making us feel like we were the only couple getting married there this year. We will cherish the memories we made in the year leading up to and including our wedding day, and this is largely due to how accommodating, generous, and friendly Sean, Louise, and all the staff at Langton's are. Sean and Louise are full of excellent suggestions and insights and have an excellent vendor list. The main dining room is beautiful when it's empty, but the Langton's staff made it absolutely stunning for our wedding. The Set Theatre is such an asset and was an excellent way to break up the night for our guests. Bridie's was perfect for our day 2 and made everything easy for our guests. The bar staff were excellent, and nobody waited long for drinks. The serving staff and all the hotel staff are very friendly, but they also couldn't do enough to help you - nothing was ever too much hassle. We loved Langton's from the moment we arrived, but it was amazing to hear that we had stayed at Langton's wedding, and guests felt the same. About half of our guests were travelling from America for the wedding, and they felt so comfortable and welcomed by all the staff at Langton's. We've received compliments since our wedding day, with several guests saying it was genuinely the best wedding they've ever attended. Planning a wedding and the weeks leading up to it was stressful, but when we arrived in Langtons the week of the wedding, we felt completely at ease and excited about what was to come. To Sean, Louise, and every single helpful, friendly, generous staff member at Langton's in Kilkenny: We could never express our gratitude enough. Thank you for helping us have our dream wedding.

We had a small wedding in Langtons with 34 people. The service you receive is just the same as if there were 340 people. We will never forget it. Sean and Louise are the most helpful people, and you really feel like they want to do everything they can to give you the day you have imagined. It just doesn’t stop at Sean and Louise. Everyone, the barman we had and the evening staff in the room, was just so good at what they did. The food was amazing, piping hot !! We had our whole day, start to finish, in the set theatre, and it was magical. The bedrooms are amazing, and the breakfast was amazing. There is not one single thing I would change about our day in Langtons. I just wish we could do it again xx thank you

We had our wedding here in Langtons Kilkenny 2 weeks ago today, and what can we say, it's just amazing. There is a reason why Sean, Louise and the team have such an excellent reputation. From booking the wedding all the way through to the day itself, nothing was too much. They were at hand to answer any question, even last-minute panic ones. Our guests were in awe of the venue, many of whom had travelled from the west to the heart of Kilkenny. There are so many photo options indoors for a rainy day and in Kilkenny itself, where Langtons is perfectly positioned. We knew once we got engaged, this would likely be the spot and not a single regret here. Would recommend this location to anyone recently engaged, you'll have no regrets. We had our wedding here recently, and it was brilliant from start to finish. It's such a relaxing setting. Everything went smoothly and was very organized. The food was lovely, and we weren't waiting for ages between courses. We couldn't have asked for more. All of Langtons staff were brilliant. It was a great day and night! I would highly recommend it to anyone trying to choose their wedding venue.

Our wedding at Langton’s was absolutely everything we hoped it would be! I had seen Langtons on Instagram when looking for venues and was so smitten with the look and the vibe. Even though we live on the other side of the country, I decided I needed to see it for myself, and once I did, I was convinced. Seán was so relaxed and knowledgeable that we were immediately sure we could trust him to make sure we had the best day possible. Both he and Louise were so prompt in all their communication and in answering my questions. Langtons is a spectacular choice for those who want an out-of-the-box venue. Getting married in the Set Theatre felt so intimate, and we had the best craic dancing with the band later in the evening. I don’t know if there’s a more beautiful ballroom in the country either! We are so grateful to Sean, Louise, and all the staff for helping us have the most special day.

What can I say only ‘Wow!!’ From the moment we viewed Langtons, our minds were made up! Everything from the staff and the decor to the food was incomparable. We went for the diamond package, and after looking at other packages that other venues had offered us, it just seemed like a no-brainer to go with them. Everyone asked me how I was so relaxed not only on our wedding day but throughout the whole lead-up and from the moment we booked Langtons as our venue. Honestly, it’s because of Sean and Louise and all the work they do. They treat your wedding as if it were theirs and cannot do enough for you. All of the staff, even on the day, were complimented so highly by our guests, along with how amazing the food was and the hotel itself is so gorgeous. Everyone felt free to enjoy themselves being served (all day and night) with a smile by everyone they met. There wasn’t a time I felt I couldn’t email Sean or Louise and even up until the night before with situations changing (the usual) they were at the other end of the phone reassuring us nothing was a problem all the time. Your wedding is supposed to be the best day of your life and everyone at Langtons are there to ensure it will be. Looking back there is not one thing I would change and we are so grateful to to all the team at Langtons for playing such a huge part in our special day, we couldn’t have done it without them.

We chose Langton's as our small civil ceremony venue before our wedding overseas later this year. Sean and the team understood exactly what we wanted from the first meeting and made the whole process easy. From the initial meeting right through the day of the ceremony, we felt no stress and felt like the team was on top of everything. We were made to feel special regardless of the fact we were having a small event with very few guests. We are delighted with how the day went; everything was perfect, and we are so happy we got to celebrate with our closest family before the big day.

We had our wedding day on 3rd May 2024 in Langtons, and it was the most incredible day. Everything on the day went perfectly, and that’s all thanks to Sean, Louise and all the staff at Langtons. From the minute we checked in on a Thursday night to the moment we left on a Saturday morning, we were looked after and couldn’t have been more happy with everything. The Set Theatre looked absolutely stunning for our ceremony, the drinks reception and music were exactly what we were after, and the ballroom was incredible. The food and the staff were amazing, and we had our meal and speeches done within 2 hours, which is exactly what we wanted. Our day couldn’t have gone as well as it did without the help of Sean and Louise. Sean went over and beyond for us from when we booked our day with him, but on the day of the wedding, he couldn’t have done any more for us and our guests than what he did. What a venue. What a team. What a day. We had the most amazing experience having our wedding at the Langtons. From the first day we came to book, until two days after the wedding when we checked out it has been nothing short of fantastic. Fantastic help with all the planning with Sean and Louise. Fantastic service from the waiters, bartenders and reception staff. Fantastic wedding packages. We could not fault a single thing. Sean was with us throughout the whole thing making sure we were okay and had everything we needed. He put us at ease with everything. Nothing was a hassle. The Set theatre was magical, Bridies was beautiful with the sun shine making it even more magical. Everything went seamless with great planning and organization. The rooms were amazing and the little touches for the Bridal Suite was really nice and appreciated. We would highly recommend them to any couple who are looking for a fantastic venue.

We got married in Kilkenny on April 19th 2024, and had our wedding reception in Langtons Hotel. We started our preparations in December and dealt with Sean and Louise. Both corresponded efficiently with our questions. Langtons made the process stress-free by sending email milestone reminders at 12 months, 6 months, 3 months, and a month away. We had a Zoom call with Sean at 3 months where a lot of details were finalised & discussed. Our wedding tasting was in February & Sean & Louise took on board our feedback about the meal. As the groom was a coeliac, we suggested the gluten element of the main course be removed to allow it to be gluten-free. Langtons allocated 20 rooms for our family and we dealt with a number of the team in reception when finalising the room. They were always polite & responded promptly. We arrived on the day before the wedding laden with flowers & decorations for the wedding reception, which were left in the reception to be stored safely. On the wedding day, the bridal party had an early start & went for breakfast at 7:30 am. We were served a beautiful hot breakfast & we headed to our club room to get ready. The room Langton's provided was spacious and both the hair & make up artist could work independently. One they both mentioned was that the light in the room could have been better. When we dressed, Sean met me & brought me through the hotel to the back entrance beside the church. After the wedding was over, we headed back to Langtons, where Sean welcomed us with prosecco and guided us into the reception. Musician Thomas Jackman created a lovely atmosphere. They set up and manned our gin and whiskey reception, which was a hit with everyone. When we entered the room, we were amazed at the decorations on the tables. The meal was faultless. The steak was cooked to order, and everybody was so impressed with the consistent quality of the food & the speed of the service. The bar service was also quick and friendly long into the night

Langtons is a place that makes you feel at home, loved and cared about. We had an amazing small wedding in the Set Theatre in January 2024. We organised our wedding in less than 2.5 months - one day we woke up and decided to get married "Tomorrow". Everyone agrees that the amount of pressure and stress is unreal. We were blessed to find the perfect venue at short notice. A big thank you to the Langtons Wedding Team (especially Team Manager Sean), who helped and guided us on this journey and made our perfect big day. In a single one hour meeting with Sean, everything had been discussed and agreed upon. We thought, ‘Is that it? Could it be that simple and easy?’ We found it harder to find a band as many were already booked in advance and dealing with invitations was the hardest part, but, Sean helped us here too — he gave us contacts of a few bands. Langtons even kindly agreed to do our wedding cake which they don't normally do but after we tried their freshly baked cakes and coffee in Bridie’s café I said to my not-yet husband, ‘Wow! It’s so good - it will be great if our cake is made here too’. They even designed it better than in the photo we provided! During our menu tasting, we had great fun with Louise. She helped us to choose the perfect drinks for our guests and her advice to change one of the desserts made our menu perfect and complete. All guests, including some in the “hard to please” category, said the food was delicious. We had asked for a 3rd choice on the main menu and despite the size of our wedding (less than 40 people) Langtons obliged and didn’t charge us extra. Any changes were so easy to make. It was as if Sean could read our minds and predict what we wanted or needed or what could go wrong and knew how to fix it! When a few guests got sick and cancelled the night before the wedding, we simply emailed to make changes to our Table Plan and we were 100 % sure they would look after us. I stayed the night before in the hotel. In the morning, the staff called to the room 3-4 times offering help and ensuring that we were doing well. I knew that I didn’t need to worry about anything and just get myself ready! Everything on the day went as planned, without delays or surprises. Our ceremony was in The Set Theatre, a room with a unique atmosphere. This is how I remember it now: It’s 3 p.m., myself and my future husband are entering the Set Theatre. A flute is being played, there is soft dim lighting, and flowers and candles everywhere. Our families and friends greet us and smile at us. I can feel my tears of joy and goosebumps that betray my excitement. The moment has arrived when the magic is about to happen — Today Tomorrow and Forever together! Afterwards, Bridie’s Bar provided us with a lot of privacy and time to relax and enjoy ourselves. The room made us feel that we were all together now and the size of the wedding suddenly got bigger.

I can't sing high enough praises about Sean and the team at Langton's for all the help with my wedding. I was planning my wedding from abroad, and the team was very patient and more than willing to answer any silly questions I had. They were very accommodating and helped the day move smoothly. My traveling guests complimented the location, the staff, and the beauty of the set theatre. I would recommend them to anyone thinking of getting married in Kilkenny.

Our civil wedding is a day never to forget. We had a swell time. My friends and family were well looked after by the staff. My husband is still over the moon. Our ceremony was in the Set and reception in the ballroom. Our guests were amazed by Langtons. It was perfect. The food was beautiful We couldn't have picked a better venue. From the first day we viewed Langtons, both staff and the wedding team could not have been any more helpful, friendly and accommodating; needless to say, the search for a venue was over. The venue is stand-alone with many beautiful nooks, crannies and hidden gems, especially for photo opportunities. The wedding team thought of every little detail and were a great help with all aspects of planning the wedding. No ask was too big or too small. On the day, the food was outstanding, and the service was quick and efficient, as well as the bar service. Sean and his team made the day run smooth from start to finish and we are truly delighted we choose Langtons for a special day and would recommend other couples to do the same, you won’t be disappointed. 5 stars all round

If you are looking for the most amazing wedding day, go to Langtons!!! We had the most perfect day, all thanks to Sean and Louise who are both the most professional and nicest people you could meet. Nothing was too much for them to do. Even on the morning of the wedding, I got a call from Louise to make sure that I was ok and that she was there if I needed anything at all. Sean also made sure that I ate a sandwich so that I wasn't hungry throughout the day which was so kind. The venue is amazing. Our bridal party had drinks in Bridies at 3 pm before heading to the private bar for our drinks reception. We then moved to the ballroom for dinner, followed by the Set theatre for dancing. The service from start to finish from all of the staff from start to finish was first class and the dinner was perfect. All our guests said it was the best dinner that they ever had at a wedding. Even the buffet in the evening was amazing, there was so much food and it was all delicious. I cannot say enough good things about Langton Hotel for a wedding. You will have the most perfect day if you have your wedding here.

We called Langtons in August 2022 and instantly fell for the venue. It is the most stunning venue and we knew straight away this was where we wanted to get married. We met wedding co-ordinator Sean Read who is without doubt the best in the business. After talking with Sean and going through the packages we knew we had the venue of our dreams and booked it. A lot of work went into our Wedding over the next 18 months and in fairness to Sean and Louise, they made everything so easy for us and made our day unforgettable. They made planning the wedding so easy the whole process was so enjoyable and stress-free. Sean and Louise take care of almost everything and there is nothing they wouldn't do for us. We enjoyed the build-up and run into our wedding and I firmly believe this was because we knew Sean and Louise had everything at hand and we didn't have to worry about the venue. Sean and Louise are fantastic and any question or query we had was always answered ASAP with a swift response. The food at Langton's is out of this world I could not recommend it highly enough. The bedrooms are top class all of our guests loved it! The feedback we have received is hugely positive. Everybody loved the venue, the food, the rooms. We had people traveling from all over and everyone said the same thing about how helpful the staff are. If I could give you one piece of advice for your wedding it would be to seriously consider selecting Langtons as your venue. We had the day of our dreams. I hope you do too.

We had a small intimate wedding ceremony and reception in Harry's Bar, Langtons. We worked alongside Sean in the months and weeks leading up to the wedding to create the perfect day. Sean and all the staff at Langton's are very attentive and professional. They made the day run extremely smoothly and ensured that we and our guests had everything we needed and wanted throughout the day. Harry's Bar was the most gorgeous venue for an intimate wedding and the use of Bridie's bar between the ceremony and dinner was very convenient and fun for all our guests. We enjoyed our wedding day and this was down to the venue and staff.

Right from the start of our planning, we knew that Langton's Hotel would be the perfect choice for our wedding weekend! Sean and Louise were incredible leading up to the weekend. They answered every single question we had over email and Sean was always happy to jump on a Zoom call when needed (we live outside of Ireland). We were still able to take 2 trips down to Kilkenny in the lead-up and Sean made sure to make enough time for us to help with planning, and as well as letting us look around the venue. The entire staff was amazing during our weekend, especially the girls at Reception the most. They were absolute rockstars, helped with so much, and were also just so lovely to talk to. Sean was great at checking in with us to see if we needed anything and making sure we were having a great time. Everyone together being so caring and helpful allowed us to worry just a bit less and enjoy ourselves a bit more! As for the venue, it is simply stunning. We had our ceremony in the Set Theatre and then dinner and the night in the Ballroom. The Set Theatre was even more beautiful than I could have imagined and the Ballroom was gorgeous. We both honestly couldn't have asked for anything better. All of our friends and family were raving about Langton's the whole weekend. It was an absolute dream, truly, thank you to everyone at Langton's from both of us!

5-star service, food, venue, location! A wedding day can be stressful because it’s all about you as a couple. This is where Langton’s as a venue excels in comparison to others because from the outset you are engaged by an experienced team which is what you need to make your day more relaxed and seamless. Langton’s gives you this across all levels. Sean and Louise (The Wedding Team) run a tight ship and ensure the team leaders in the hotel reception, dining service, bar, and other areas of the hotel are briefed and ready to make sure everything runs like clockwork on the day (from very early until late!). Honestly, the service they provide is exceptional. Nothing we asked for was too much of an ask and there was never any issue with asking questions, we asked a lot of questions! Every question received an answer followed by If you need anything else, just ask. There are so many unique areas within and around the hotel for a ‘first look’, for all of your photos, for your guests to enjoy and that’s before we even get to the main event. In our opinion, the venue itself is stunning. This can be subjective as every couple has their picture for their wedding, but a standout for us is the marble tiled floor and chandeliers in the ballroom. Not many venues have such an incredible space. We loved it so much; we had our ceremony and meal service in the ballroom! Langton’s has some stunning options for both ceremonies and post-ceremony celebrations. Other venues also have amazing spaces but what sets Langton’s apart is the team and the service you will get. There is a reason they get the amazing awards consistently year on year for the effort they put into providing exceptional service. To add to the above, Langton’s is located in the center of Kilkenny City, so if you plan on having a day two, Kilkenny City will keep your guests entertained until later in the evening when celebrations kick off again.

We had our wedding this month in Langton's and we highly recommend this venue. Seán and Louise were fantastic from start to finish, from our planning to the day itself and the days afterward when our guests were still in the hotel. We had our ceremony in the Set which was beautiful, and our dinner in the ballroom and then back to the Set for the afters, as we had roughly 80 guests so wanted a smaller room. On day two we celebrated in Bridie's and into the front bar after that. Everything went so smoothly and every member of staff we encountered was fantastic. The food was superb also. We would like to thank Sean and all the staff at Langton for making the wedding so special and memorable. From the time we booked up to our wedding day anything we wanted to change or add was never a problem. Anything was possible. From the wine and food tasting we got wonderful advice from Megan. We met Sean and his team on a few occasions whether we wanted to add something else it wasn’t a problem. Our reception on the day was so professional. Red carpet, reserved area even car parking was reserved for us. Our choice of food was delicious and hot. The waiter at our table was wonderful. We cannot recommend Langton's Hotel enough as a Wedding Venue. We had our day before, day of and day 2 all in the venue. From the moment we arrived the day before the wedding, we were able to sigh with relief as any stresses or worries were handed over and looked after by Sean, Louise and Aoghan. All the staff in Langton's throughout our experience were of the highest standard and so kind, warm and welcoming. The food and service throughout our few days of events there were exceptional. All of our guests were impressed with the lovely accommodation and breakfast each morning. The Wedding team were so helpful in helping all of our wishes for our big day come to light. There was nothing that they weren't able to do for us. Ciara and all the staff in reservations were so kind and helpful throughout all the coming and going of arranging rooms for all our guests. The decor throughout the hotel is so unique and provides the perfect backdrop for any special occasion. The Set Theatre was the perfect venue not only for our ceremony but for our Day 2 festivities as well! Having such a beautiful venue really saves the headache of having to try and decorate or hire vendors to make a room look special. Langton's is like a treasure throve - around each corner is a new and exciting room or area to enjoy and take in. We cannot thank the team at Langton's enough for making our few days so enjoyable. They will forever hold such a special place in our hearts.
