We viewed many venues but Langtons immediately stood out because of the staff. We were always greeted so pleasantly by all members of staff, which was not the case in many other top venues. Sean and Louise are amazing to deal with, nothing was too much trouble. The ballroom is beautiful and the set theatre gives an unusual edge that people are still talking about. The food was delicious and the portion sizes are perfect.

If we could give Langtons more than 5 stars, we would! Sean, Louise & the team are phenomenal, experienced professionals who made planning our wedding smooth and easy. On the day they were always on hand to make sure everything ran smoothly so we could just enjoy our day stress-free. There are a range of rooms to choose from and we could use as many as we wanted at no extra cost. We had our ceremony in the unique Set Theatre, drinks reception in the Pewter Bar, and reception in the Ballroom. We were lucky enough to have a sunny day so we also used the outdoor bar, and we were able to take photos in the back garden (though there are plenty of places indoors for photos too). The food was delicious, with a huge range to choose from and all dietary requirements accommodated, including vegetarian, vegan, coeliac, lactose free, and allergies. Langtons is in the centre of Kilkenny, easily accessible for guests coming from all corners of the country, and with many accommodation options around for anyone not staying in the hotel. There are plenty of great locations within easy walking distance for photos. In terms of inclusivity, they were fantastic for accommodating our guests with disabilities; the venue was fully accessible and any accommodation we asked for was made without any issue. There are several packages available to suit all budgets and wedding sizes. They are excellent value, with much more included for our money than other venues we were looking at. It was a relief not to have to worry about organising flowers or printing menus, seating charts etc in the run up to the big day. We had our Day 2 in Bridie’s Bar; again this was the perfect location with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, affordable and convenient. All in all, we are delighted that we chose Langtons for our wedding and would (and have!) heartily recommend them to anyone. From start to finish Sean, Louise and the whole crew were amazing to work with. Nothing was too big an ask. They are just the most flexible venue imaginable. We did everything from abroad, and trusted Sean so much from the first call to book without even seeing the venue! The day was incredibly smooth. So many guests were beyond impressed with the food, ambiance and lack of dead time hanging around like some weddings. We did the ceremony in the set theatre which is just the most amazing setting, only made better by our celebrant Ciara. We had the drinks reception in the pewter bar and the atmosphere was perfect. Our date was a couple of days before christmas and the vibe was perfect. The music provided was excellent as was the mulled wine. The dinner and dancing was then in the ballroom which was cosy but spacious. Everything just seem to run seamlessly. The staff were all helpful and friendly If you want great food, excellent wedding coordinators and an amazing time, book Langtons.

Langtons is such a gorgeous wedding venue. It had everything we were looking for and nothing we asked for was a problem, the food was unreal. We had a large wedding and to this day, people still talk about the beef that was served. Eddie, Sean and Louise couldn’t do enough for us! We even went back for our anniversary, we loved the place that much…..

We got married at Langtons in Kilkenny and it was absolutely amazing. Sean and the entire team went above and beyond for us. Not only were the staff incredibly polite, professional, and attentive, but they also did so many thoughtful extras that made our day stress-free. Sean personally brought my wife a sandwich while she was getting ready and even ran her dress to a steamer down the street when our portable one broke. The rooms, ambiance, décor, and overall atmosphere were perfect, and every single guest commented on how wonderful the venue and staff were. Ireland already held a huge place in our hearts, and having our wedding at Langtons made that love even stronger. We couldn’t have imagined a better experience and are so grateful to everyone there for giving us the best day of our lives.

Can’t recommend Langtons enough! Sean & Louise are a dream team when it comes to organising, so relaxed - so organised, so easy going and help every way they can to ensure you have your dream day! The venue is just stunning, we didn’t need to pay any company for extras to decorate, they are just so up to date and just the most stunning venue! Food was absolutely amazing, so many compliments! The staff on the day were so lovely, and all helped whenever we needed and were so easy deal with and relaxed. From viewing the venue to our wedding day, I was so stress-free. We had such an amazing experience from start to finish. From booking and having our meetings with Sean, it could not have been made any easier for us. We celebrated our wedding at Langtons in Kilkenny last year, and honestly couldn’t have chosen a better venue. From start to finish, the entire day was incredible. The venue itself is stunning, and the ballroom gave our ceremony such a warm, elegant atmosphere. The staff were amazing — professional, friendly, and so well organised. Sean ensured the whole day ran smoothly and entertained our many, many emails in the lead up. The food was outstanding - and so much of it, we had to be rolled onto the dance floor! If you’re looking for a wedding venue, we can’t recommend Langtons highly enough. They gave us the perfect day and we would love to do it all over again!

Our wedding at Langton's could not have been more perfect. The venue is beautiful, the food was delicious, the staff were incredible and our guests are still talking about how much fun they had to this day. We are from the States, so planning a wedding overseas had some challenges, but Sean and the Langton's team were quite literally always available to answer our questions, ease any fears and offer suggestions. We had the most amazing day thanks to Langton's, we even recommended it to another couple who booked their wedding there as well.

Our wedding party and day 2 at Langtons were literally the best, full of fun, laughter and delicious food. Myself and my wife live in Norway, so we had to plan the wedding with Louise and Sean remotely. It was such a dream to work with them both, they had plenty of experience with LGBTQ+ weddings and no questions were left unanswered. We were stress-free knowing everything was in good hands. We booked Brides for the welcome drinks, the Set theater for dinner and dancing and Brides for day 2. Sean explained all the various options we could book through Langtons (which was literally everything we needed) and even helped to find an easel to display a painting we received as a wedding gift. Some other noticeable things from the day were Sean and the staff went above and beyond: We had a friend who is a drag queen as our MC for the evening, they let her get dressed in a private backroom and helped her to sneak around the venue until it was time to surprise our guests! At one stage, during the dinner we realised we forgot to pack some deodorant, we asked one of the staff if they could find out where the bridal suite was so we could run up and grab deodorant, but one of the staff said to leave it to him and 5 minutes later he was back and led us to a private toilet where the deodorant was waiting for us. Everything went so smoothly on the day, it really was a perfect day. Day 2 was also handled smoothly and the live music we ordered was just perfect to end the celebrations. All in all, we can highly recommend Langtons as a LGBTQ+ friendly wedding venue. 11/10

We were married in Langton's hotel Kilkenny in June 2025, and if I could give more than 5 stars, I would. The whole weekend was perfect and Sean and the team made sure I didn't have to worry about a thing. It truly was the best weekend of my life and the Langton's team played a huge part in that. From the moment we booked, Sean & Louise made everything so easy. We wanted a more laid back approach to our day and there was never an issue accommodating our requests. Both were also very transparent when it came to costs and our budget which meant we had no surprises the next day when paying the balance(which is always appreciated). All of our guests still talk about how great the weekend was, the food, the staff, the service and the stunning grounds of the hotel. I wouldn't change a single thing about our wedding weekend.

We had our wedding ceremony and reception in Langtons hotel and we cannot recommend it enough for anyone looking at a venue for their special day. From the night before until the very end of our wedding night, everything went perfect thanks to Sean, Louise and all of Langtons team and also Reservations team for making a smooth check in for all of our wedding guests. Everything went smoothly from the morning of the wedding. The minute our phone rang in our bridal suite to let me know that everything is ready for the ceremony to begin, Sean was waiting for me downstairs to make sure my nerves were in order! The ceremony room in the Set Theatre was set so beautiful and was so spacious for all of our guests. Our reception room was out of the world! Every little detail was set the way I wanted it to be and even more! The food was absolutely fantastic the Chef in Langtons is unbelievable and I cannot recommend the menu enough even if it is for a little bite while you stop in Langtons hotel. Sean did really make our day so special even at that, he was going over every little detail before our reception entrance began to make everything look magnificent. I want to thank everyone in Langtons from the bottom of our hearts, you really did make our wedding day dreams come true.

I couldn't recommend Langtons enough. Our food was gorgeous, all our guests were raving about it. The venue is stunning! The deals and packages really couldn't be beaten in our eyes and to top it off, Sean and Louise are phenomenal to work with, from the first contact to the day of the wedding. They never made me feel like I couldn't ask them about anything, they responded quickly and did everything in their abilities to make sure we had our dream day,which we did! What I really appreciated about the team in Langtons is they have your back as a couple, I really cannot emphasise how much Sean and Louise's compassion and kindness meant to us in the lead up to our big day. If I had my time back I would pick Langtons over and over again.

Stop looking for your venue - you have found it! We cannot recommend Langtons enough for your wedding day. They have multiple different packages and rooms depending on the size of your wedding which, for the quality that you receive, are still great value. Sean and Louise are so responsive, supportive, and really make you feel special alongside the wider Langtons team. We planned our wedding from the UK and, as a bride, I never had any doubt that everything was in hand. The tasting experience was amazing and we also organised a meal for our wedding guests the night before the wedding and the food is delicious. Highly recommend spending your wedding staying at Langtons for the full experience. I stayed in a room the night before with my bridesmaids and had so much space to get ready. The bridal suites are amazing and the jacuzzi bath definitely helped the day after! We had an intimate wedding in the Set Theatre and the organization, presentation, atmosphere, everything! It was everything that i had imagined and more. Also, take advantage of the lovely Bridie's Bar for your wedding reception drinks. There are so many different ways to have your wedding at Langtons and you won't regret any way you choose. All of our guests also stayed at Langtons and were amazed at the hotel as a hole and will be returning separately. It is also the perfect base to explore Kilkenny if you are not familiar with the city. We cannot thank the team enough for making our day so special.

Sean & Louise were a massive help to us, from when we first booked the date to the big day itself. Throughout the whole planning process, Sean & Louise were an incredible support; any question we had was promptly answered, and their level of expertise was so helpful. On the big day, the staff of Langtons went above and beyond; we really got the feeling that anything we needed was no issue, big or small. Our guests raved about the food and the serving staff. I’d also like to give a specific thank you to Shane, one of the barmen. During our day 2 in Bridies Bar, Shane was incredibly friendly and had even memorised people’s orders. As soon as our guests approached the bar, Shane knew what they wanted. His customer service was outstanding! (And thank you for your help with the TV issue)

It’s hard to put into words just how amazing our wedding day was at Langtons Hotel. From start to finish, everything was so relaxed and perfectly organised. We have had the privilege of having our wedding at the Langtons Hotel. We have been planning this wedding for over 2 years, and we cannot thank Sean & Louise ( and the rest of the staff at Langtons ) enough for the perfect day we had. Everything was perfect. Everything was possible for the team. Great food during the entire day. Staff were super friendly ( Especially Shane ). People loved him. The band was AMAZING, and so was the DJ. We have been receiving praise after praise for what Langtons made possible for us. The Birdie's bar, the Ballroom and then the Set Theatre. People were in disbelief the entire day. They are indeed the Best Wedding Venue in Ireland. Coming all the way from Belgium to get married and all the friends and families gathering there. It was a great journey, and they delivered 100% what we requested & even overdid themselves!. We will be back at Langtons to stay, and even maybe our 10th anniversary :D
