We can’t thank Langtons wedding team enough. Seán & Louise were so kind, supportive and professional to deal with on the lead up to the big day. We had a small intimate wedding and we couldn’t have dreamed of a better day thanks to Langtons. Attention to detail was second to none. The Langtons team were a joy to work with from day one. As soon as we met Sean, we knew we were in great hands. Wedding planning, and even the wedding day itself, is often associated with the word 'stress'. I can honestly say that Langtons took all the stress out of both - the planning never felt overwhelming with their help and we both enjoyed every second of our day, which we know isn't always an easy feat for the couple! Nothing was ever a problem for Sean, Louise and the rest of the team. They were incredibly organised and fastidious, but also calm and always incredibly friendly and approachable. Our package was such good value that we kept waiting for the 'catch', but it never came - no hidden costs, no nasty surprises! It really is superb value for the level of care and beautiful venue at Langtons. All our guests raved about the hotel, including the food and the rooms they were staying in. Our experience with Langtons Hotel has been absolutely amazing. The care that we both experienced during our big day was brilliant. The wonderful Sean who held our hand through all the steps of showcasing our wedding in your wonderful theatre made the day as stress free as possible. Sean is a fantastic member of your team he was calm and collected, nothing fazed him and he helped make the day what it was. Your hospitality staff, the waitresses and bartenders, reception etc... , everyone commented on how lovely everyone was, how attentive and also happy to be there to do their job. The team at Langtons was exceptional on our big day. Irish hospitality at its best. Guests who had never been to Kilkenny had such a positive experience that they not only want to re-visit the city again but to book it in your hotel where they were so looked after. I don't think Langtons needs a review as the awards they have won for hosting Weddings speak for themselves. However, I cannot speak highly enough about Sean & Louise (the wedding coordinators) and all of their staff, from Suzie to Danny. From Day dot, no request was too big & nothing was ever any hassle. Everything ran like clockwork. Everyone was raving about the food (not just the dinner but this was the best hotel breakfast we have ever had, made to order). This was one of the first venues we viewed for our wedding & nowhere ticked the boxes like it. Down to the basics - once in, no one has to step foot outside (this is so important as it is Ireland & I never wanted guests to have to run from one building to anothe)r, you can never rely on the weather & in Langtons, it never matters. The wedding rate for guests was impossible to say no to (we could not ask our guests to fork out massive money for a bed for the privilege to attend our day) & the rate for guests was better than any stay in a mediocre BnB. But in Langtons, you got a fabulous breakfast & the rooms were very nice and decorated to an extremely high standard. To our wedding itself, the venue (set theatre) was just so different and photographs beautifully. The sound is perfect in the room & we did not need microphones. Sean & Louise took away any fears or jitters we had by being so personable yet professional in all aspects of the day. Things we never thought of - they had covered. Any needs or requests we had were met with enthusiasm and honesty. Even the small touches (like Sean telling my mother that her banana bread was lovely even before he had eaten it!) lifted the whole occasion to amazing for us and our guests. Like all of us, we have been to many weddings. I can honestly say I have not heard so many compliments about the food as I have for this one. It was so hard to choose our menu because the choices were so extensive but we were delighted with the whole thing. Thank you Langtons x

We had our wedding in Langton's Hotel in December. It was truly the best day ever. Sean and Louise (and the rest of the Langton's team) were an absolute dream to work with all last year and made everything run so smoothly, especially while planning a wedding from the other side of the world. From day one, right up to the wedding, they could not be more helpful and really gave us one of the best days of our lives, everything ran perfectly and felt so easy, no request was too much. Our guests are still raving about the venue, the food, and the staff! We had our ceremony in the Set Theatre, drinks reception in Bridies Bar, and evening reception in the Ballroom - each area exceeded our expectations and had its own unique personality to it. I want to start this review by saying we couldn’t recommend Langtons as a wedding venue highly enough. It was everything we could have dreamed of—and more. And we also highly recommend Sean and Louise as wedding coordinators. Having never planned a wedding before Sean and Louise made the entire process so easy. The constant communication was exactly what we needed, and no request or question ever felt too big or too much. We had our wedding in The Set Theatre at Langtons Hotel a few weeks ago and I can't think them enough for giving us THE BEST DAY EVER!!! Sean and the team there were amazing to work with. They were do attentive to our wants and needs for the day and made sure every little detail was perfect. Our guests are still talking about how fabulous the hotel was and how amazing the food was too. Our day was perfect and we have the team at Langtons to thank for that!

David and I could not express how much we loved getting married at Langtons. Sean and Louise were absolutely fantastic to work with from the very start - nothing was an issue and everything we asked for was possible. Communications through email etc were always answered very quickly and anything we needed or any questions we had were dealt with so efficiently. On the run-up to the day Sean and Louise were great - with no change being a hassle. Everything felt so easy. On the day itself, all the Langtons staff were so attentive and everything went so smoothly - we didn’t have to think about a thing they had everything covered. The venue itself is such a beautiful venue and was a perfect setting for our wedding. We loved getting married here and would highly recommend Langtons to anyone who is considering getting married.

From our first viewing of Langtons as a potential wedding venue, we were impressed by their attention to detail and professionalism. The Set Theatre as our ceremony venue really sealed the deal for us, but their ballroom is also such a beautiful space. We felt so well looked after through the entire process of wedding planning and on the day everything ran so smoothly with Sean and his team going out of their way to make it so wonderful! Langtons were so accommodating to all our needs, happy to tweak and adjust to suit our vision, the beautiful setting of the hotel both inside and out for photo opportunities and finally the Set Theatre for our ceremony was the perfect start to our day of celebrations.

We'll be eternally grateful to Sean and the entire team at Langtons for how special they made our big day. Even though we had to postpone our wedding date, nothing was a problem and the entire process was made fun and worry-free. Our guests were treated like royalty and the food was amazing. We took Sean's advice on our band (Carouse) and DJ (Brian Hennessy), and neither were disappointed with the dancefloor being full 'till the early hours. We were in Langtons on several occasions in the lead-up to the wedding and, without fail, the staff were always, helpful, warm and welcoming, a great omen for the big event. We would highly recommend checking out this unique and flexible venue and chatting to the brilliant Langtons team for a hassle-free and perfect dream wedding day.

We cannot recommend Sean and his team in Langtons enough. From the first time we viewed the venue to the wedding itself, we were looked after amazingly. Nothing was too big of an ask or too small. It was such an easy process. All the staff were so nice and couldn't do enough for us. All of our guests loved the place and the food. It really was just the perfect day, thanks to everyone at Langtons.

We got married on 8th November and to say the day was perfect is an understatement. We had both ceremony and reception in Langtons and both were outstanding. From the first day we viewed the venue till checking out of our bridal suite, Sean & Louise went above and beyond and nothing was ever too much trouble, as did all the staff in Langtons. We couldn’t fault anything. The food was unbelievable and all the guests commented on how lovely the food was and such a different variety of food on the menu also. We thoroughly enjoyed every minute of the day and would highly recommend Langtons to anyone in search of a wedding venue as there is truly nothing like it or nicer staff to help you along. Langtons is a really great venue for a wedding after party. We enjoyed our evening there enormously. We couldn't be happier with the team's planning, they were very accommodating right down to the inevitable last minute reshuffle of guests seats. The DJs were fabulous also, and The Set Theatre stage was an ideal venue for the little ones to show the adults how to dance and party. Thank you Langtons.

Where fabulousness meets friendly! I can’t recommend Langtons and the wedding team enough! To the point where I’ve used two exclamation points in my first two sentences! (Now it’s three.) Sean met us and walked us through exactly what the plan was and when information needed to be sent. They literally spoon-fed it to us and believe me, it was needed because, between work and life, it’s easy to forget bits but not with this great team. No detail was too big or small, nothing was forgotten and to say we felt taken care of would be an understatement. While the venue is gorgeous and we were able to make sure all needs were taken care of room-wise and accessibility-wise thanks to the fabulous staff, it was the ease and helpfulness that made this team shine. Everything was just done so professionally, helpfully and like a well-oiled machine. Even when one of our external vendors has a whoopsie on the day, Sean had it all sorted in one minute with a phone call. Sean managed to float around and be completely available but discreet throughout the day and his special advisor Louise was just a burst of happiness. I couldn’t recommend this team and this venue enough! (That’s 4)

Langtons Kilkenny was the only venue we visited when choosing a venue for our wedding. We had been to previous weddings and we live locally and therefore knew what we were getting by choosing there. My own family live three hours away and I wanted a venue where they could spend a few days and enjoy the city as well as our wedding celebrations with beautiful accommodation. Nothing was ever a bother and everything was made so easy and enjoyable to plan with Sean and Louise. We both had the weekend of our lives with everyone. There’s not one thing we would change about it. Our families were blown away by the hotel and all the staff. I don’t think it will be their last trip to Langtons!

The minute I stepped inside the door of Langtons I knew it was the place we would get married. From the set theatre to the ballroom, it was absolutely stunning! Sean and Louise couldn’t have been more helpful, nothing was too much trouble and they were so responsive with any emails or questions we had. Our wedding day was everything we could have dreamed of and more, we had our ceremony in the set theatre which is such a unique and intimate setting for a wedding ceremony, we then moved to the ballroom for our reception which is such a stunning space. The staff were amazing and so helpful and the food was absolutely delicious. It was honestly the best day and we would 100% recommend Langtons.

My wife and I got married here on the 23rd of August 2024. Sean and the team made our fairytale wedding come true from the moment we arrived at Langtons. They provided an incredible experience for us and our guests with great music, drinks, and delicious bites to eat, all set in the stunningly beautiful gardens surrounding our wedding venue. After that, we were served a fantastic meal, followed by an amazing performance from our wedding band. We danced and celebrated late into the night. Langtons is the perfect place to have the wedding of your dreams—because we certainly had ours!

We were lucky to have two wedding celebrations in Langton's Hotel and could not recommend it more. We had two very different days and got to enjoy all that Langton's has to offer. Our first day was in Harry's Bar with a small crowd, it was the perfect venue for our small celebration. Our second day was celebrated with 100 guests in Bridie's, the Ballroom and The Set theatre. Our guests were blown away by the venue and all the different characteristics in each room. From the moment we met Seán we were set on the venue. He was very professional, friendly and relaxed (exactly what we were looking for). Nothing was an issue and he made wedding planning very easy for us. The rest of the staff - the waiters, cleaners, bar and reception staff were also all very pleasant and added to the enjoyment of our days. I would highly recommend Langton's as a wedding venue. Whether you're looking for a small intimate gathering or a bigger celebration, Langton's has it all!

We got engaged in March 2023, deciding we didn’t want a long engagement. We set our date for Christmas 2023 as we both love the festive atmosphere. We contacted Langtons and arranged to meet with Sean Reade, from our very first meeting we were so impressed by his warm, friendly and professional demeanour. He put us at ease and went through all their packages (which are extensive with something to suit every taste and budget) our first choice date wasn’t available but he made a few calls and to our delight secured the date for us. We picked from their selection of bands and DJs and couldn’t have been happier with our choice. Sean did all the liaising with them, he takes so much of the hard work away so you get to enjoy the build-up to your big day, he is beyond organised, helpful and always available to answer any questions or concerns. He regularly checks in and offers such an exceptional service. On the day he is on hand at all times, from the morning preparations to the night celebrations, personally overseeing and ensuring everything is running smoothly. We had the best day of our lives and it surpassed all our expectations, the hotel was beautifully decorated, the staff warm and friendly, the food delicious, the drink free flowing, a heaving dance floor and wonderful memories made with family and friends who all thoroughly enjoyed the day. we cannot recommend Langtons or Sean and his team enough!
