If you are looking for the most amazing wedding day, go to Langtons!!! We had the most perfect day, all thanks to Sean and Louise who are both the most professional and nicest people you could meet. Nothing was too much for them to do. Even on the morning of the wedding, I got a call from Louise to make sure that I was ok and that she was there if I needed anything at all. Sean also made sure that I ate a sandwich so that I wasn't hungry throughout the day which was so kind. The venue is amazing. Our bridal party had drinks in Bridies at 3 pm before heading to the private bar for our drinks reception. We then moved to the ballroom for dinner, followed by the Set theatre for dancing. The service from start to finish from all of the staff from start to finish was first class and the dinner was perfect. All our guests said it was the best dinner that they ever had at a wedding. Even the buffet in the evening was amazing, there was so much food and it was all delicious. I cannot say enough good things about Langton Hotel for a wedding. You will have the most perfect day if you have your wedding here.

We called Langtons in August 2022 and instantly fell for the venue. It is the most stunning venue and we knew straight away this was where we wanted to get married. We met wedding co-ordinator Sean Read who is without doubt the best in the business. After talking with Sean and going through the packages we knew we had the venue of our dreams and booked it. A lot of work went into our Wedding over the next 18 months and in fairness to Sean and Louise, they made everything so easy for us and made our day unforgettable. They made planning the wedding so easy the whole process was so enjoyable and stress-free. Sean and Louise take care of almost everything and there is nothing they wouldn't do for us. We enjoyed the build-up and run into our wedding and I firmly believe this was because we knew Sean and Louise had everything at hand and we didn't have to worry about the venue. Sean and Louise are fantastic and any question or query we had was always answered ASAP with a swift response. The food at Langton's is out of this world I could not recommend it highly enough. The bedrooms are top class all of our guests loved it! The feedback we have received is hugely positive. Everybody loved the venue, the food, the rooms. We had people traveling from all over and everyone said the same thing about how helpful the staff are. If I could give you one piece of advice for your wedding it would be to seriously consider selecting Langtons as your venue. We had the day of our dreams. I hope you do too.

We had a small intimate wedding ceremony and reception in Harry's Bar, Langtons. We worked alongside Sean in the months and weeks leading up to the wedding to create the perfect day. Sean and all the staff at Langton's are very attentive and professional. They made the day run extremely smoothly and ensured that we and our guests had everything we needed and wanted throughout the day. Harry's Bar was the most gorgeous venue for an intimate wedding and the use of Bridie's bar between the ceremony and dinner was very convenient and fun for all our guests. We enjoyed our wedding day and this was down to the venue and staff.

Right from the start of our planning, we knew that Langton's Hotel would be the perfect choice for our wedding weekend! Sean and Louise were incredible leading up to the weekend. They answered every single question we had over email and Sean was always happy to jump on a Zoom call when needed (we live outside of Ireland). We were still able to take 2 trips down to Kilkenny in the lead-up and Sean made sure to make enough time for us to help with planning, and as well as letting us look around the venue. The entire staff was amazing during our weekend, especially the girls at Reception the most. They were absolute rockstars, helped with so much, and were also just so lovely to talk to. Sean was great at checking in with us to see if we needed anything and making sure we were having a great time. Everyone together being so caring and helpful allowed us to worry just a bit less and enjoy ourselves a bit more! As for the venue, it is simply stunning. We had our ceremony in the Set Theatre and then dinner and the night in the Ballroom. The Set Theatre was even more beautiful than I could have imagined and the Ballroom was gorgeous. We both honestly couldn't have asked for anything better. All of our friends and family were raving about Langton's the whole weekend. It was an absolute dream, truly, thank you to everyone at Langton's from both of us!

5-star service, food, venue, location! A wedding day can be stressful because it’s all about you as a couple. This is where Langton’s as a venue excels in comparison to others because from the outset you are engaged by an experienced team which is what you need to make your day more relaxed and seamless. Langton’s gives you this across all levels. Sean and Louise (The Wedding Team) run a tight ship and ensure the team leaders in the hotel reception, dining service, bar, and other areas of the hotel are briefed and ready to make sure everything runs like clockwork on the day (from very early until late!). Honestly, the service they provide is exceptional. Nothing we asked for was too much of an ask and there was never any issue with asking questions, we asked a lot of questions! Every question received an answer followed by If you need anything else, just ask. There are so many unique areas within and around the hotel for a ‘first look’, for all of your photos, for your guests to enjoy and that’s before we even get to the main event. In our opinion, the venue itself is stunning. This can be subjective as every couple has their picture for their wedding, but a standout for us is the marble tiled floor and chandeliers in the ballroom. Not many venues have such an incredible space. We loved it so much; we had our ceremony and meal service in the ballroom! Langton’s has some stunning options for both ceremonies and post-ceremony celebrations. Other venues also have amazing spaces but what sets Langton’s apart is the team and the service you will get. There is a reason they get the amazing awards consistently year on year for the effort they put into providing exceptional service. To add to the above, Langton’s is located in the center of Kilkenny City, so if you plan on having a day two, Kilkenny City will keep your guests entertained until later in the evening when celebrations kick off again.

We had our wedding this month in Langton's and we highly recommend this venue. Seán and Louise were fantastic from start to finish, from our planning to the day itself and the days afterward when our guests were still in the hotel. We had our ceremony in the Set which was beautiful, and our dinner in the ballroom and then back to the Set for the afters, as we had roughly 80 guests so wanted a smaller room. On day two we celebrated in Bridie's and into the front bar after that. Everything went so smoothly and every member of staff we encountered was fantastic. The food was superb also. We would like to thank Sean and all the staff at Langton for making the wedding so special and memorable. From the time we booked up to our wedding day anything we wanted to change or add was never a problem. Anything was possible. From the wine and food tasting we got wonderful advice from Megan. We met Sean and his team on a few occasions whether we wanted to add something else it wasn’t a problem. Our reception on the day was so professional. We cannot recommend Langton's Hotel enough as a Wedding Venue. We had our day before, day of and day 2 all in the venue. From the moment we arrived the day before the wedding, we were able to sigh with relief as any stresses or worries were handed over and looked after by Sean, Louise and Aoghan. All the staff in Langton's throughout our experience were of the highest standard and so kind, warm and welcoming. The food and service throughout our few days of events there were exceptional. All of our guests were impressed with the lovely accommodation and breakfast each morning. The Wedding team were so helpful in helping all of our wishes for our big day come to light. There was nothing that they weren't able to do for us. Ciara and all the staff in reservations were so kind and helpful throughout all the coming and going of arranging rooms for all our guests. The decor throughout the hotel is so unique and provides the perfect backdrop for any special occasion. The Set Theatre was the perfect venue not only for our ceremony but for our Day 2 festivities as well! Having such a beautiful venue really saves the headache of having to try and decorate or hire vendors to make a room look special. Langton's is like a treasure throve - around each corner is a new and exciting room or area to enjoy and take in. We cannot thank the team at Langton's enough for making our few days so enjoyable. They will forever hold such a special place in our hearts.

Words will never explain how grateful we are for having our wedding in Langtons this year. originally we went down because we had seen the ballroom online, we took a drive down one day with the kids and met the Lovely man himself Seán. Seán I believe is the calmest, most organized, and most friendly human I have ever met ( with great time management!!) from the get-go Seán made us feel welcome and our three kids also. We had a meeting with him when we went to view it and I think it was his professionalism and presence that made us feel, if we booked our wedding here it was going to be a great night but most of all it was going to be in great hands. When we came to a few bumps of planning, the likes of the cake, and photographer, Seán would have it sorted in seconds. Everything was just so stressful in the lead-up to the wedding and myself and Graham were always kept in the loop. On the day the staff allowed us to sit back and enjoy getting ready as they had it all sorted and done from table planning sorted from two days before the wedding to the table placements all set out in order. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful from Bridies to the theatre and then to the ballroom. Most of all the guests we had at our wedding have spoken about is the staff, the staff worked effortlessly and were pleasant and very attentive to everyone, whether it was for more drink or a bit more gravy! The staff were brilliant! Big shout out to Sussie and also of course the wedding coordinator Louise. They are all brilliant at what they do. The barmen even kept the night going with their jokes and laughed with everyone. I wish honestly that we could do it all again. Seán made us feel like family from the get-go and family always look after each other and that’s exactly what he did with great elegance, thank you to all at Langtons and also thank you for recommending the photographer capturedbyjohn because everything was captured!

We had both our ceremony and reception in the set theatre in Langton’s hotel on the 30th of December 2023. From the moment we decided on Langton’s we knew it was what we always wanted for our wedding day. Sean and his team were outstanding both on the lead-up and on the day. What an amazing weekend we had for our wedding in Langtons. From start to finish the whole weekend was a dream. As soon as we walked into Langtons, we knew it was the place for us, it was the one and only venue we looked at and we couldn’t be happier with how the day turned out. From our first meeting with their wedding coordinator Sean, we felt at ease and knew that we were in good hands. The theatre for the ceremony is so unique and all our guests commented on how different it was. The ballroom was decorated spectacularly and all the items we brought to Langtons the night before the wedding were all perfectly set up by the amazing staff. The packages they offer at Langtons are amazing and takes away a lot of the stress that goes with a wedding. They organised an amazing band, DJ, drinks reception music and decorated the ballroom for us. The menu choice and food were also superb with lots of different options that you would not see on your standard wedding menu. Sean and Louise were a pleasure to work with from the start and are experts at what they do. The day ran so smoothly, and we cannot speak highly enough of all the staff who were very attentive. We never had to think or worry about the details, so it was a very calm experience for us! We really cannot recommend Langtons enough for a wedding and look forward to returning in the future.

We had an amazing intimate themed wedding at Langtons. Everything was perfect, from the very first time we met Sean and viewed the venue to our departure after the wedding. Both the ceremony and the dinner took place in the theater, which was the perfect setting for us. We all felt very welcome and catered for by all staff members. Me and my husband got married in Langtons on a lovely sunny autumn day. Our ceremony was in the gorgeous bright conservatory, followed by a drinks reception in Bridies and dinner in the Set theatre. To say the day and the whole experience leading up to the wedding was perfect, would be an understatement. From the start, Sean and Louise were so kind and attentive. Always quick to respond to our emails and answer our million questions. No request was too much and we got to completely personalise anything we wanted about our day. Langtons is a very beautiful venue of course and the food was honestly the best meal I've ever had (I still don't know how they cooked a whole hall of wedding guests steaks each to perfection). It's the staff that really make Langtons special! Every staff member we encountered was extremely friendly and helpful. They couldn't do enough for you, but in a very comfortable and casual way, as if we were local regulars in Langtons. If you haven't booked Langtons for your wedding already, do, you really won't regret it! Thanks so much to Sean and Louise for making our special day feel like THE special day at Langtons!

We can't recommend Langtons and the team enough!! This place is an institution and part of the fabric of Kilkenny for a reason. Aside from Kilkenny being a great city with a great buzz, one of the reasons we initially viewed Langtons was because of all the positive reviews we had read and they did not disappoint. From the very beginning, the attention to detail of Sean and his team was second to none and they could not have done more for us. The ballroom itself is stunning and requires minimal, if any, additional decor. The venue is ideally set up whatever the weather with a lovely outdoor seating area if the weather is nice, and plenty of room inside if not. The number of staff in the hotel meant the bar was always well staffed and there was never a queue. We didn't have to worry about setting up the room whatsoever. We gave the staff our table plan, party favours and name tags in the morning and they looked after the rest. Their range of packages made the planning process so much easier, with the band and DJ being organised by the hotel once chosen by us. The day went off without a hitch and we have received so many compliments from friends and family about the venue, the food (the chowder *chef's kiss*) and the staff. We can't stress enough how much Sean and Louise went above and beyond to accommodate us, from our last-minute request for a cake from Bridies to the setting up of the gin/whiskey bar. To round off a great weekend, we had day two in the lovely Bridies Bar next door with about 40 of our guests which was also looked after by Sean and Louise, and we would also highly recommend it. All in all, the perfect city venue!

We held our destination wedding at Langtons and it could not have gone smoother! I am so grateful for Sean and the staff at Langtons, they always had answers to my questions and anticipated my needs. The food plus the atmosphere and vibe at Langtons was exactly what I was looking for. My guests raved about the venue and they all want to go back again some day to visit.

Wow, where to even start with Sean, Louise and the whole team at Langtons. When booking our wedding, everyone was so happy to hear we chose Langtons. From the moment we went to the wedding showcase day to after the wedding, Sean and Louise were incredible. I soon realised that when it came to Langtons, nothing , absolutely nothing was an issue. For example, we wanted pints of Guinness and Pornstar Martini trees for our reception along with cones of chips, sandwiches and it was no problem. The day was absolutely flawless and Sean kept me calm and cool. Our guests are still raving about the food! The beef was spot on and the seabass was amazing. There was so much food, the service of all the team was fab. I couldn't fault it in any way. It was a fantastic day! Sean, Louise and the team made planning our wedding so easy. From the start we knew we were in the hands of experienced professionals. The first thing my husband and I agreed on was that we wanted our wedding ceremony in the Set Theatre at Langtons. We've always loved the venue and to have our day there was so special. From our first meeting with Sean Reid, he put us at ease, any queries, worries or requests were met with understanding, respect and patience by all staff. The advice and gentle suggestions along the way were very practical and much appreciated. Accommodations were made for my Dad who has limited mobility, and the staff were so kind to my brother with special needs and our 5 year old son (who was treated like the VIP!) .Whatever /whomever was important to us was important to the wedding team. Our guests enjoyed the day immensely and were well looked after, as were we. It was a relaxed and enjoyable day with great food, drink and very comfortable overnight accommodation to sleep it off. Our wedding at Langtons was Amazing! Starting from the management and organisation with Sean and Louise, the food with Micheala and right through to the hospitality from all the staff throughout Langtons, our guests and ourselves were made feel very special for our big day of celebrations. It’s clear the culture is positive within the work environment at Langtons and customer satisfaction is prioritised.The food was very highly rated by all of ours guests including myself who can be known to take a Gordon Ramsey approach to my food reviews. Sean must get a special mention for his professionalism and his ability to be so dynamic with planning even right up to the final bell. His calming approach to overseeing everything ran smoothly on the day while still remaining in the distance of all the action was clearly an innate talent combined with many years of experience. We are extremely happy with our decision to choose Langtons for our wedding location and highly recommend with 5 stars! Charlene & Adam
