My husband and I had an amazing experience with the Shearwater Hotel all during the preparations and on the weekend of our wedding. After viewing many potential venues, we were so impressed by the Shearwater that we knew the search was over. From the beautifully decorated and spacious ballroom and reception area to its delicious food options and outstanding service provided by the staff. No request was too big or small for Kate and the team. Our guests were very complimentary of the food and all dietary requests were more than satisfied. We also had our day two in the Marina Lounge which was perfect for a more intimate crowd, delicious BBQ, and a dancefloor for live music. We felt really relaxed over the whole wedding weekend knowing that the Shearwater team had everything planned and arranged meticulously. I would highly recommend the Shearwater Hotel to any couple getting married for a day filled with fun, laughter, and celebrations ❤️

We recently had our wedding reception at The Shearwater Hotel and could not recommend it highly enough! We went to one of their wedding showcases and were immediately struck by how friendly and professional all of the staff were. The hotel itself is stunning and has beautiful areas for both the drinks reception, dinner and dancing and photos. Kate, the wedding co-ordinator, was amazing to work with, always responding to our emails quickly and happy to facilitate any ideas we had. Both Kate and the general manager Des, were so attentive on the wedding day itself, regularly checking in with us to make sure we were happy with how everything was going and also letting us have a little moment to ourselves and we got to see the ballroom before our guests entered. The food service was superb, from the food itself to the waiting staff and the timings of the courses. Several of our guests commented on how good the food was and there was no waiting around in between courses, which meant the flow of the day continued nicely and there was no lull in the atmosphere! Overall we could not have been happier with our wedding day and our experience at The Shearwater.

Just wanted to say a massive thank you to yourself and everyone at the Shearwater for making our day so special. There wasn't one single thing we would change. You all went above and beyond, and we will be forever grateful. From the first day we got in contact, there has never been any issue. We had the most amazing day at The Shearwater, and I can’t recommend it highly enough as a wedding venue. From start to finish, the team were exceptional. Our wedding coordinator, Kate, was incredibly responsive during the planning process, nothing was ever too much trouble. On the day itself, she made sure everything was perfect, and when she handed over to Desmond, the night manager, he was just as wonderful. What really stood out was how seamlessly the staff handled unexpected moments. When our flower girl spilled a large glass of orange juice all over the top table, the team quietly and quickly stripped and reset it so beautifully that no one even noticed. Later, when a guest revealed allergies I hadn’t known about, the staff immediately provided an alternative meal with no fuss at all. Their professionalism and kindness made the day stress-free. The food was absolutely incredible. Guests are still talking about it weeks later. The drinks reception was beautifully presented, and the ballroom looked stunning! The Shearwater offers not only exceptional value for money but also a truly outstanding venue for a wedding. The staff, the service, the food, and the atmosphere all combined to make our day unforgettable :)

From the moment we first visited The Shearwater Hotel & Spa, we knew it was the perfect place for our wedding. The layout, décor and the stunning chandelier in the reception immediately felt magical. Throughout the planning process, Kate made everything completely stress free, always available by phone and quick to respond to emails. Our wedding day was unforgettable. Walking into our reception to a red carpet, champagne in hand, and all our guests cheering was truly magical. The atmosphere was buzzing with joy, not just from our guests but from other hotel visitors and the amazing staff who made everything seamless. Staying at The Shearwater with our family and friends was equally wonderful; the bridal suite was exquisite, the Executive suite for our children was perfect, and the little teepee in their room was a huge hit. Our guests are still raving about the weekend, praising the delicious food and exceptional hospitality. For anyone considering The Shearwater, we can’t recommend it enough! Visit, see it, taste it, speak with the staff, and you’ll know it’s the perfect place for your dream wedding.

We had our Wedding in the Shearwater Hotel & Spa on the 23rd of Feb. The Shearwater Hotel and its staff were excellent and we had the most amazing day. Everyone we encountered throughout our wedding journey were very pleasant to deal with especially Chloe. We would highly recommend this Hotel to anyone as their wedding Venue. The Food and service was superb. 10/10

The Shearwater was an amazing venue for our wedding! They went above and beyond for us in every aspect. We would like to thank Chloe for everything over the past two years of planning. The staff were amazing, not only with us but with all our guests, and couldn’t do enough to help. The food was fabulous, and everyone was commenting on how stunning the ballroom and bedrooms were. We would like to start off by thanking Chloe and her team at the Shearwater Hotel. They couldn’t have done enough for us in making our special day so fabulous. My husband and I just wanted to message you and the team to thank you for such a wonderful weekend last week. We have never heard guests at a wedding say so often how relaxed the whole day was and that is down to the whole team at the Shearwater. We got married on July 26th 2024 and it was the most amazing day. The attention to detail from Chloe and the team at Shearwater was amazing. The service was fantastic and the staff were so friendly. Chloe was a gem from start to finish, we were so blessed to have her as our wedding coordinator she really is 5 star, nothing was too much to ask for she really went above and beyond. The hotel itself is stunning.
