Fredrick’s Hotel & Alix Venue: Beautiful boutique hotel situated in maidenhead, wonderful décor and a beautiful new neutral carpet within main function room. The reception is gorgeous with art deco chandeliers and marble floor which looks lovely for wedding photos! Hotel Rooms: We stayed in the Berkshire Suite for our stay at the hotel and it was absolutely amazing! It was quiet and peaceful. The shower and bath are lovely and the bed is massive. I didn’t get ready for the wedding in this room – but I would highly recommend it for future brides as it is very spacious. Food: Charlie the Chef is absolutely wonderful, he was so flexible and professional. The food was delicious, the kitchen team must have worked so hard to deliver 82 meals all at the same time and all piping hot! Our guests commented on the food and said that it was delicious. The sauce for the chicken was amazing! Staff: The waiting staff and bar staff were flawless, happy and smiling and very discreet we hardly knew they were there. Could have done with a few more bar staff, but as the Bride – I didn’t have to wait long for a drink anyway! Ben was lovely and very helpful throughout the day before when we came to set up and on the wedding day itself – lovely guy. Wedding Service: This hotel has the most amazing Wedding Coordinator ever! Alix Matania - She is such a wonderful lady and I am so sad that I don’t have any more annoying bridezilla emails to send her! Alix is so patient and understanding and completely understood my theme for my wedding. Alix was kind to both of our parents and whenever we visited to discuss plans she was always welcoming and engaged with us fully. What sets Alix apart from the rest is that she really cares, from responding to emails quickly, to giving us great wedding advice – she knows this industry inside out and I am so pleased that we had her to guide us through our wedding planning. Thank you so much Alix.

We had a wonderful wedding at Fredrick's and I would like to say that there are 3 people who need a special mention straightaway. Alix for being so helpful, kind and reassuring in the run-up to our wedding. We live in France and so we weren't able to make many trips over (in fact we only went twice before the wedding) but she helped us by taking photos and explaining the layout and all in all she is absolutely fantastic and will help you make your day very special. We'd been badly let down by Monkey Island, which is round the corner by them cancelling our wedding as the new owners wanted to do refurbishments 6 months before our wedding where everything had been organised. Alix helped us not only make the most of the organisation already done but helped make it better. The second person who deserves a stirling review is Charlie, the chef. Honestly I am surprised he is not the top chef in a top London restaurant. He is absolutely amazing and was so amazing in letting my French husband decided with him the menu and all the French guests LOVED all the food. I knew it would be the case after having the tasting a few months before but I didn't expect all the French guests (even my French mother-in-law who usually finds something to complain about) to rave about the food and how it went against all their theories on English food. Thank-you Charlie as the food was such an important part for Rudy and you took all the worry and stress away with your delicious food. The third person I think needs a special mention is Andrew, the toastmaster. He was a legend!!! He was so friendly and charming and just added a certain something to that day that would have been sorely lacking without him. He went above and beyond duty as Alix was not there the day of our wedding (as she was on her honeymoon) and he helped us when a couple of things needed to be re-organised. He is the loveliest man and made such a difference to the day. Thank-you!!

We chose Fredricks for our wedding as we wanted an exclusive use venue, where all of our family and friends could stay over. Alix, the Events Manager, was great, made sure all of the planning went smoothly and answered all of our questions very promptly. On the day itself we had a couple of issues but these were dealt with very well by the hotel manager. The food was particularly outstanding and we had lots of positive comments from guests. Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful but we did have a few problems with being billed incorrectly on check in and check out, where notes were on the account but hadn't been reviewed properly. Also, half our guests (including us) didn't have any hot water the following day, but this was compensated by Fredricks. We would recommend Fredricks to other couples looking for an exclusive use venue. We would also recommend our photographer (Maria Ashby-Giles) and Susie at stylish seating who were both fabulous, and the DJ (Keith) who did a great job. Michael and Emily

Our wedding day was perfect and everything we wanted it to be! Leading up to the wedding, Alix done a very good job with helping us coordinate. She answered our questions promptly and was also very helpful the morning of the wedding when a bridesmaids dress had a completely broken zip from under the arm to the waist. Alix helped save the day with lots of safety pins! The Chef done an amazing wedding breakfast and everyone commented on how nice the food was. And, the bar staff, waiters and waitresses were also fantastic and very professional all day. I would highly recommend this venue to any other couples planning to get married. We had our wedding at Fredrick’s Hotel in December. We had an absolutely fantastic day. Everything went perfectly which was mostly due to the Events Manager Alix. In the months before the wedding Alix was so helpful and very adaptable to our requirements. On the day of the wedding she made sure the room was set up just right and that everyone was in the right place at the right time so I didn’t have to worry about anything and could spend the morning relaxing! Alix does a fantastic job and made everything so easy for us. I stayed the night before the wedding and ate dinner at the hotel, the food was delicious. The double room was traditionally furnished, it was lovely and very clean with a view of the garden. On the day of the wedding Alix organised everything and the room was decorated so nicely, the hotel staff were really diligent and helpful and the food was great! Lots of guests commented on just how good the food was. Throughout the whole day we felt that the staff did everything to make our day go seamlessly. On the night of the wedding we stayed in the Berkshire Suite which was huge, really nicely furnished and was very clean. I wish we could have stayed longer. We had breakfast the next day which was delicious. I would recommend Fredrick’s to anyone wanting to find an intimate, friendly venue to get married. We got married in August at Fredricks and would definitely recommend it. It was pretty reasonably priced for the area & the food was delicious! We had a lovely menu tasting where the chef prepared amazing food. The hotel were very accommodating of dietary requirements (we had a few...!). One of the best things about this venue was Alix, the wedding coordinator. She was fantastic, keeping in contact with us & keeping us up to date with everything. She was very welcoming & relaxed about the whole thing which made the wedding plannin calm! She was there for some of the wedding night & that definitely put us at ease. It was a truly amazing day!

We initially found the Fredricks Hotel by searching for a spa hotel that would suit our needs for a wedding celebration to last a long weekend. The venue was perfect in the flesh. On our initial meeting I found Alix very amiable. She was easy to talk to and this made our decision to go ahead with booking the Fredricks- registrar permitting- an easy one. We worked together to plan a fantastic wedding. Alix and her colleagues were always on hand during the planning for the wedding to answer our many questions without making us feel like nuisances. We planned for an October wedding with back up options depending on weather and numbers of guests. We met with a chef and events staff to make sure that they were fully aware of our requirements and we were happy with their plans. All aspects of our day were delivered well as a result. With the weather being fantastic on the day we were able to get married outside.....the best feeling.....walking out to a beautifully arranged area where we were able to say I do in front of our friends and family. Alix and the Fredricks team did an amazing job and I don't think there was much more she could have done for us. The Fredricks hotel is a perfect venue for a wedding. It can accommodate all sizes of wedding. The outdoor space adds to the experience too. The staff look after the venue very well and it is clean and tidy inside and out. Alix is a very professional yet friendly person. She works extremely hard to deliver a great event. Alix is very knowledgeable and works well with the team at the Fredricks. The events team and the food and beverage team made a lot of effort to deliver a fantastic day. They listen to your requests, give advice where necessary and our wedding was excellent as a result.

Alix was the reason we booked our wedding and reception at Fredricks Hotel. She was the first wedding coordinator we met and none of the other we visited lived up to the first impression Alix has given us. She completely understood what we were trying to achieve at our wedding and was helpful when we were putting ideas forward as to whether or not things were possible. When it came to the day you only saw Alix was on hand when we needed something and was happy to help throughout the day. Alix is friendly and understands what is important to a couple planning their wedding. She understands that you aren't really sure what is what when it comes to wedding and event the most frivolous aren't a problem, even if you've asked it a million times! She was helpful throughout the entire process and was a constant professional.

Alix was so calm and professional. Nothing was too much of a problem. She was also very honest about what we did and didn't need to spend money on. I always felt confident that everything would be fine on the day as Alix and the team were so professional. We chose Fredrick’s because of the venue, price and professionalism. The staff were fabulous. Everyone was so friendly and professional. They made the day for us.

Alix was attentive and helpful at all our meetings with good ideas and guidance to help us achieve the perfect day. She was particularly good at putting everything we discussed in writing so we knew exactly what to expect. Her recommendations were all excellent and suited what we wanted. Alix also ensured out guests who are staying in the hotel were well looked after and had any extra's they required. She was very discreet on the day while ensuring everything ran smoothly. I had tried several venues before talking to Alix and had been put off as others seemed uninterested in me because I only wanted a small wedding with 30 guests. Alix, however, seemed delighted to speak to me and inspired confidence that she could give me the wedding I wanted. The resulting wedding was beyond my expectations.

Pricing: Having gone around Maidenhead and reviewed all the other venues on offer in this area, Frederick's provided us with the best deal for the facilities being provided. The general impression is that Frederick's is expensive due to its good reputation. This could not be further from the truth. Facilities: Amazing. Fredericks is small (but still with lots of room for flexibility in setting up your wedding). It is intimate and offer great dining facilities. My husband and I had a separate kids party which Frederick's gladly accommodated and supported. Our guest were free to roam and sit in other breakout out areas to get away from the hustle and bustle of the wedding if they wanted to. Food: Frederick's had a new events chef who was more than happy to listen to our questions and accommodate our specific diet requirements. I had 2 children on the guest list with potentially fateful multiple food allergies. The chef was great in accommodating them. I was so overwhelmed they went out of their way to ensure they were catered for and made their food look amazing too. Thank you. I was conscious too that my guests were being difficult regards menu choices on the day. Somehow the chef and the team managed to make everyone happy anyway. Thank you. Much appreciated. Accessibility to event coordinator: As I was so busy with little time to plan this wedding, I was very grateful that Alix was on the ball, at the right time. She provided reminders of when we needed to do the tasting event, seat plans etc. She was always available sometimes late in the evening to meet up and discuss. Even when I threw in extra guests and new seating arrangements, she was more than happy to accommodate. She is a great sport and know her stuff. Fredericks Support Staff: Never met a friendlier more accommodating team. Front desk was great and waiting staff so patient. Conclusion: My guests had a great time. I have lost count of the number of times I have been told it was the best wedding ever!

our wedding was in March 2015 at Fredricks hotel and spa and we had Alix as our wedding planner. She was absolutely fantastic as planning it and keeping us up to date! As in South African she even managed to get the head chef from Shaka Zullu in London to do our food as I wanted it to be traditional South African food. All I can say is well done to that Alix, it was amazing. She knows her stuff!

What a perfect place for a wedding! Mike and I did our research with venues and felt so blessed when we stumbled across Fredricks!! The packages they offered were varied with lots of different options to choose from to suit our needs. Incredibly good prices too! I think we would have saved about £1500 than if we had our sort of package anywhere else. I can't speak highly enough of our experience at Fredricks. Alix, the wedding coordinator made us both feel so welcome and at ease straight away (we'd met with a few others and she was by far the nicest!). She showed us around giving us ideas and we just fell in love with the place immediately! Such beautiful grounds to have a wedding! The whole build up to the wedding, Alix was always available to get in contact with and answer any queries we had leading up to our day there. We really enjoyed going for our menu tasting, it was a real date night filled with food and wine and even got to have a chat with the sous chef about our menu and was happy to accomadate all our needs. When it came to the wedding day, the whole team at Fredricks were nothing but beyond helpful!! If there was anything we needed or wanted there was always someone on hand to help us immediately. Everyone we dealt with, from Alix, to Suzi with the chair covers, to Angus who served us... Plus everyone else who was just so very helpful, warm and welcoming. I honestly can't speak highly enough of this place and if I had to to it all again (here's hoping I wont!!) it would be Fredricks every time. You just know you'll be in good hands there.

My Wife Jo and I had our wedding reception at Fredricks , was organised by the staff and they did all that was asked and needed in the reception room we used, even making some suggestions to add the special day ,we where welcomed with open arms, the building was perfect and the gardens well maintained, all added to allow perfect photographs to be taken, the staff were warm and very polite and helped in anyway possible. The we stayed in was neat and tidy. Last the food was perfect.

From the second that Alix replied to my initial wedding enquiry, I knew I was in great hands... Alix was outstanding - patience, fast response, and completely understood what I wanted from my day. The planning stage could not have been easier. The day itself was incredible - Alix was there on the day, which was very comforting, and everything went perfectly. Fredrick's is an outstanding venue, with outstanding service and outstanding food. I wouldn't change a thing about my wedding day!

Fredricks Hotel and Spa is a superb wedding venue, as soon as we walked into the hotel it had a warm and friendly atmosphere. The size of the hotel is not too big and not too small and feels quite homely as we didn't want a huge grand venue where you could feel lost in. However it's not only the venue itself but the staff and wedding coordinator, Alix, who were all amazing. Alix was extremely helpful and organised in the run up to our big day, and on the day was on hand to make sure everything ran smoothly. On the day all the staff were so kind and friendly and went out of their way to accommodate us. I would highly recommend Fredricks as we couldn't have asked for more and all our guests said what a wonderful hotel it was.

I highly recommend Fredrick's Hotel Restaurant and Spa as a wedding venue! Alix (Wedding planner) and her team were absolutely fabulous in ensuring my special day was everything I'd ever dreamed of. My husband and I wanted a venue which included flexibility around our requirements and this is exactly what we received from Fredrick's. Nothing was too much trouble. Fredrick's were able to assist us in all aspects of the wedding day including helping us with other suppliers. We were able to have regular meetings and discussions with Alix in the lead up to the big day and on the day itself Alix handled all the preparations which allowed me to relax and enjoy the time with my family - this was super special to me since they had travelled over from New Zealand for the wedding. An added bonus was that we were able to get married outside and the team were brilliant to ensure that this dream could be made true considering it had been raining earlier in the day. If you are considering a wedding venue, you won't be disappointed in Fredricks.

From the moment we viewed Fredricks as a potential venue for our wedding reception, we loved it! A beautiful hotel with lovely gardens, amazing food, and helpful staff including the wedding co-ordinator Alix who helped us with all the details of our reception and answered no end of questions from us. Fredrick's Hotel Restaurant and Spa was just the perfect venue for our wedding on 30th May 2015. The facilities provided were excellent, from the welcoming reception area, the comfortable and clean rooms, the food and drinks supplied in the restaurant and function room, to the beautifully-maintained gardens. All the staff were welcoming and friendly, but also extremely efficient. Nothing was too much trouble, and all queries were dealt with promptly and with a smile. We would particularly like to mention Alexandra Matania, the hotel's conference and wedding organiser. From our initial enquiry the previous year, through every subsequent meeting up to the big day itself, she was a model of efficiency and friendliness. Nothing was too much trouble: she was happy to accommodate all our quirky ideas for our parrot-themed event, even allowing us to bring one of our cockatoos to attend the ceremony! All her recommendations for ancillary helpers, from flowers and make-up, to table-dressing, hog roast and DJ, and photography - delivered first class service. Everything put together made the day a wonderful and memorable experience for us all - even the weather was kind, between two days of rain! We would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to any friends and family looking for a similar event, but particularly because of the brilliant service and expertise supplied by Alexandra Matania. When we got engaged everyone said planning a wedding would be stressful. We can honestly say ours wasn't at all - and this was all down to Alix. Her communication was second to none; nothing was too much trouble, she always responded to emails quickly and answered all my queries thoroughly. She was incredibly flexible, allowing us to personalise our wedding breakfast completely which for a hotel 'package deal' was incredible. She clearly loves her job and puts 100% into everything she does.

Alix Matania and her team at Fredricks were fantastic; their attention to detail and the overall wedding organisation was superb, which led to a perfect wedding day on 18th September 2015. All our guests said this was the best wedding they went to and this was in no small way due to the venue and the skills of the wedding organiser - Alix Matania. I would have no hesitation in recommending Fredricks and especially Alix.

Simon and I got married at the Fredricks hotel in March. We attended a wedding fair at the hotel in January and booked our date. We only had 8 weeks to plan our wedding due to personal reasons and Alix and the hotel staff supported us and helped to make our day absolutely perfect. This hotel is a beautiful wedding venue and the food was delicious - all of our guests have said its the best wedding food they have ever had. We were very pleased with the service we received and would recommend this venue to anyone planning to get married.

When looking for a venue i found it quite daunting! Everywhere i went i just felt like they wanted the booking it put me off so i stopped looking for a while. Then i made an appointment to see Fredrick's and from the minute i walked in i had a good feeling then i met Alex the wedding coordinator and it was confirmed that my feeling was right and this was the place for us! Nothing was too much trouble we had an amazing wedding coordinator looking after us, Alex was always on the other end of the phone called me back if she was busy never left me waiting and tried her utmost best to help me and send me information she thought might be useful! I will always recommend Alex along with Fredrick's hotel and i will always be going back to visit whenever we can!
