Our wedding reception was small (14 people) but absolutely perfect. The pre-wedding planning was smooth, efficient and professional and on the day we were warmly greeted by the team charged with looking after us. All members of the team, from the most junior to the most senior were friendly, attentive but unobtrusive and the gallery where we ate looked stylishly classical and a perfect size for our party.

Marie and the team made a very stressful end of our wedding planning so easy. Honestly cannot thank them enough for all their hard work and attention to detail was second to none. All our guests commented on how seamless the whole day flowed and this was all thanks to the great staff at the Grand Hotel as well as the Toastmaster (Andy) who I would highly recommend. Marie, deserves a special mention as she was the one who always with a friendly smile helped myself and my wife with our last minute stupid questions and made sure we were never really too worried. All in all I would like to say thank you to the whole team who helped put this wedding together. Something my wife and I will never forget.

We were absolutely blown away with every single thing about our wedding day. We couldn’t have asked for a better venue, everything was absolutely perfect! Marie was amazing throughout at communicating and making sure every little detail was on our wedding programme, we appreciated this so much. Samantha and Valentin were also amazing to have with us on the day, they made sure we had everything we needed and we felt in such good hands. Honestly, we had the best day of our lives and that is all thanks to The Grand Hotel and your team, we will always be so appreciative. Thank you so much!

I just want to say a massive thank you to Tracey and the rest of the team, we could not have wished for a better day. Tracey did an amazing job sorting everything out. All the staff were amazing on the day, everything was perfect. I will recommend The Grand Hotel to everyone for any event, I can't fault the hotel in any way. Again thank you so much for everything.

Our wedding day was something like a dream and a lot of our guests told us it was one of the best Weddings they have been to. The day ran so smoothly and any issues were dealt with promptly and without question. I have had no end of comments from family and friends telling me how lovely the Grand Hotel is and in particular how kind and helpful all the staff were. Guests have told us stories about doormen, front of house team, porters, cleaners, kitchen staff, waiters/waitresses and of course the events team all being happy, helpful and making guests feel as special as we did. Oliver and I were treated so well from the start (way back in 2020) and that was part of the reason in choosing the Grand. Every time we visited, we were made to feel so special and we hoped our family and friends would feel similar. You in particular Lottie, have been a joy to work with over the last year or so. You have always responded so politely and promptly and on meetings, you have been extremely kind, professional and happy. From mine and Oliver’s side, it hasn’t been stressful and a lot of that is due to knowing our day was completely safe in your hands. The Grand Hotel Eastbourne has become a special place to us and we look forward to visiting again in the future.

The entire day was magical. We cannot thank the Grand Hotel, Eastbourne enough. Every single member of staff we came into contact with was kind, smiling and saw to our needs with genuine care and thoughtfulness. The attention to detail was amazing. The food incredible. Truly a day to remember and revisit again and again in our minds and through the photos.

The overall experience was excellent from The Grand Hotel, the day ran so smoothly and everything was where it needed to be throughout the day. Yasmina, our planner, made sure our day was how we wanted it and was prompt with any questions we had. Everyone who came said what a wonderful setting the hotel was, and to us it will now hold great memories. I didn’t catch the names of the staff in the room with us but they were great and nothing was a problem. Overall, a fantastic experience.

Billie-Jo and Lottie are incredible assets to your team. They provided outstanding service from start to finish and were always open to helping us with any requests for our special day. During the pandemic, Billie-Jo was a consistent source of support. This helped make a stressful situation manageable. Billie-Jo went above and beyond for us at that time. When Lottie took over, the transition was seamless and, between them, ensuring that our wedding was everything we wanted it to be and more. We are very grateful to them both. The ops team on the day were outstanding. Winnie and her team delivered amazing service with a smile. The entire concierge team were fantastic and so helpful, too, by helping our guests when they needed it. Since our wedding, many of our guests have commented on how fantastic the food was, particularly the vegan option. We want to thank the chef and his team.

This is just a note to say thank you so much for everything. We had the most perfect wedding day. We could not have wished for anything more. In spite of the rain and Covid everything went so smoothly and seamlessly and I know all guests thoroughly enjoyed the day, from start to finish. We know how much went into the preparation and last minute changes and are so grateful to you and Billie -Jo. Yasmina you are a real credit to the Grand and they are privileged to have you. The guests were very impressed by the standard of the food, the choice of wine and champagne and quality and speed of the service throughout the day. We really did feel like royalty. George did mention you in the speech but I’m not sure it would have got back to you from the staff so we thought it was worth letting you know. Tim the Toastie was brilliant! He really made the day. He ensured we were looked after throughout and was both charismatic and charming. Please pass on our thanks to him. Please pass on special thanks to the chef and all the kitchen staff and the door staff who went above and beyond throughout the weekend.

Every single aspect of the day exceeded our expectations. We felt like royalty for the entire stay. Our guests were all delighted with the food and service. I would not hesitate to recommend the Grand and their affiliated services to anyone looking for a venue for a special occasion. I should add that we found the costs quite reasonable in comparison to other venues as well, particularly when you consider the high standard of service.

Hi Billie-Jo, At last, I have come back down to earth and have got a moment to write to you! Both Tony and I would like to say a huge thank you to you for everything you did in making it the most magical day for us. You have been brilliant throughout, in not just the organising, but the flexibility in the current circumstances, the extra details and tweaks we had to make, and in reassuring us that everything was in hand. You were incredibly helpful on the day itself, from coordinating us, overseeing the room set up and being so hands on, to keeping my dress in check for the photos and ceremony! As well as much much more behind the scenes I have no doubt. Thank you so much for making it the most perfect day for us both, we are very grateful for all of your help and support! The rest of the team were also fantastic, Wian and the other ladies were brilliant on the day, throughout the ceremony and meal especially. We are so pleased we chose The Grand. We are disappointed, no doubt as you are, that the hotel has had to close again. One of my friends in Canada who was unable to make it, has actually gifted Tony and I an afternoon tea voucher, so we are looking forward to coming back as soon as we can to enjoy it! My husband and I are forever grateful for the support in planning our wedding in particular support from India Carr and Billie-Jo Clarke. Any queries I had were responded to effectively. They both checked everything with me and ensured I was happy. Thank you both you are amazing and we are forever grateful. On the day the lady who looked after us was also amazing and kept reassuring us and was very supportive. I can't remember her name but she was the leader I think as was wearing a different uniform. The reception were also amazing for the 2 days I stayed in the Grand Hotel. Thank you all for everything.

We arranged a very simple wedding, just room hire and afternoon tea in the lounge afterwards with only us and our two witnesses. The two staff allocated to us couldn’t have been nicer or any more attentive. Delighted with our low key wedding in the surroundings of the beautiful hotel, it kept the wedding meaningful but with a bit of luxury!
